Lachlan Teague dies. His son London Teague, age forty-three, inherits Lachlan's slave-trading franchise in Hispaniola.

1822

The West Indies slave trade is suppressed by the Royal Navy. London Teague deserts Celestine Garza Cremone and flees Hispaniola for Louisiana in America. He establishes Hy Brasail Plantation.
