The Rising Sons Motorcycle Club (31 page)

Riding behind the rugged biker, she had a chance to take in the scenery around them. They followed the Kern riverbed west. It meandered alongside the highway, the dry bed coming and going as nature pleased. As they got further from the city, the desert smell took over, reminding her of the vast emptiness around them.

Raven closed her eyes, letting the steady engine notes lull her into a haze. She laid her cheek against the leather of Gunner’s cut. Allan left her mind, the infighting of the club left her mind—it was just the two of them, enjoying the open road together as it was meant to be enjoyed.

She squeezed her hands around Gunner’s waist. She didn’t realize how badly she needed a getaway until he’d forced her on the back of his bike. She lost track of the roads they crossed and the towns they passed. None of it mattered. As the sun began to descend, he pulled onto a side road.

After a few bumpy miles, they were at a reservoir. The deep blue of the lake was a stark contrast to the sandy wastelands around them. Gunner pulled close and killed the engine. Raven stepped from the bike and stretched her back. Twisting her body to either side, she popped her spine and felt the strain of her muscles loosen.

Gunner was edging toward the lake, taking his time. She caught up to him and he wrapped his arm around her waist. The smell of clean water filled her lungs, and she took a deep breath of the scent. Exhaust from the Harley, fresh water, and leather swirled inside her mind.

“There’s no one for miles. This is my happy place.” Gunner said, staring out over the small manmade lake.

Raven turned to look up at him. She was going to joke, but she could see the peace in his eyes. She turned to look over the lake again, looking for that special something that made it stand out to him. She couldn’t see it.

Without turning back to Gunner, she murmured, “I don’t have a happy place.” There was a touch of sadness in her voice, but Raven didn’t mean it that way. Her happy place was everywhere, anywhere she could go to. Her motorcycle was her real happiness. It was her escape, as well as her means of escape.

“Yes, you do.” When she turned back, Gunner was looking at her the same way he had been looking at the lake. “I can see it on your face. You’re thinking about it right now. Don’t think, just tell me.”

Raven smiled. She couldn’t help it. “The road. That’s my happy place. I drove Route 66 from Chicago to the coast one year. Well, as much of the original highway as I could. Just me, the road, and Abigail.”

“Abigail. I like it. Mine’s named Wild Billy.” Gunner grinned. Raven could see the child in his eyes. Gunner was a true man—no one could deny that—but he had that child-like quality that set Raven’s heart on fire. He was fun and lived life to the fullest.

Gunner stood before Raven, taking her in. She could feel his eyes wandering over every inch of her body. His eyes usually had that red-hot look of lust in them, but what she saw now was something different. She saw that when he said he loved her, he meant it with every fiber of his being.

She put her arms around Gunner’s neck. She felt the muscles in his body when he pulled her own against him. Their kiss was fire, hot and passionate in the desert desolation. Raven gave herself to him in a way that she had resisted before.

In the past, it had been about power, but now it was about connection. Where it had been about unadulterated lust, it was now about combining into something greater. Raven could feel Gunner’s arms taking over, and he swept her up and pulled her off of her feet like she was nothing at all.

Raven gave a soft moan as he squeezed her hips. One of her legs lifted back, and she felt like they were living in a movie. Gunner’s mouth was strong and sure. He bit her lower lip, pulling back on it before releasing his bite.

She dived back in for more. She kissed down to his chiseled chin, feeling the stubble of days without the razor. They had been tough days, but as Raven kissed the man she loved more than anything, she thought they were behind her. Gunner groaned when she bit his lip, reminding him that there was, and always would be, a power struggle between them. It was what made them such exquisite lovers.

His hands slid her leather from her shoulders. She heard her cut drop to the ground behind her. A light breeze pulled at some loose strands of hair that had escaped her bandana and braid. Gunner brushed them from her face and kissed her cheek. His lips moved lower.

Raven closed her eyes and leaned her head back, letting the heat of the sun wash over it. Gunner’s lips danced over her neck. One hand still held her in the air against his hard muscles. The other hand was at her neck, scouting ahead of where his mouth would kiss next. It pulled her loose t-shirt aside to kiss the dip in her shoulder.

Raven’s smile dropped open at the feel of Gunner’s tongue. A shiver raced down her back, making her giggle at the sensation. Her hunky biker knew exactly how to touch every inch of her body. She was sometimes surprised when Gunner would touch her. It made her feel like a brand new woman exploring her own body for the first time.

He let Raven’s taut body slide down his own, and when she was back on her own feet, he grabbed the hem of her “Ride or Die” t-shirt and brought it up her body. She lifted her hands and let him tear the shirt from her body. He looked down at her with surprise.

She was wearing a pink bra that did little to conceal her puffy nipples. It was the most girlish thing she owned, except for the matching pair of panties beneath her jeans. Raven had been right when she’d guessed they would have a special day.

“See something you like?”

“I’m going to devour you, Raven.” Gunner’s eyes were hungrier than ever before. “You’re fuckin’ gorgeous. I can’t tell you how much I want that body of yours.”

She felt her cheeks go red. “I was about to tell you the same thing.” Her hands were at the leather around Gunner’s waist.

He responded by pulling his own shirt up and over his head. She got an eyeful of all his perfect muscles. His body rippled with movement, bringing each of his tattoos to life in front of her.

Gunner smiled. “Don’t get too distracted. I think you were really gettin’ somewhere.”

Raven laughed and kissed his chest. She pulled the belt through the loops of his jeans. It fell down and into the growing pile of clothes as she brought his zipper down.

As he began to massage Raven’s breasts through her pink bra, she reached into his pants and found what she was looking for. She wrapped her fingers around his throbbing cock, pulling it out of its cage. She saw Gunner close his eyes at her touch. He pinched one of her nipples through the thin fabric. She let out a whimper and felt it tighten at his touch.

She sank to her knees, ready to please her man. She took him into her mouth, feeling the warmth and throb of his member. Gunner pulled the bandana from Raven’s head. Once her blonde waves were within his reach, his hands buried into her hair, sending tingles through her scalp. She smiled up at him as her lips encased his manhood. He groaned and pulled her in closer.

Raven gave over power to Gunner, letting him thrust into her willing mouth. She opened wide and let Gunner fill her again and again. She was loving the looks on her partner’s face, the tight, twisted look of pleasure.

He pulled up on her hair and she slid his cock from her mouth, sucking until he was out all the way.

“Up,” he commanded. She stood with his help. Gunner turned her around so her back was to him. He pulled her close and undid her belt. Once the buttons on her jeans were down, his strong fingers slid beneath her panties. She leaned her head back against his chest as he found her wetness waiting for him.

She moaned as his fingers dove between her lips. She pushed her jeans down and spread her legs as much as she could. His other hand came around her waist. He held up her body as his fingers explored.

Finding her clit, Gunner began to alternate between pressing and rubbing. Raven felt her body weaken in a hurry. His hands were magic. Every touch was electric. She reached behind and grabbed onto his cock. It was pressing against her ass, and she realized that he had a great view of the pink thong that matched the bra. As much as she wanted to stroke his manhood, she had to concentrate on the pleasure he was giving her.

She felt her knees quake, but he was holding her up with no problem. Raven was moaning with each breath. Her eyes closed as she felt that great pressure within her reach its tipping point.

She remembered her scream. In the vast desert, it didn’t sound all that loud, but the explosion from within her made her cry out with primal force. She grabbed onto Gunner’s arm with both hands, clamping down with all her strength. After the scream, everything seemed to slip away. Her body and mind weren’t her own. Everything was a blur.

His whispers brought her back. “Good girl.” His voice was right in her ear, soothing and low. “Good job, baby. What a good girl.”

Raven giggled, not because of something funny, but because it was all she could do. Her mind was still recovering, and Gunner held her to his hard body as she came back to the real world. She moaned and let out a long and slow breath like she was about to start a difficult task.

In her state, standing was difficult. She was weak on her feet, but managed to get upright without Gunner’s arm to stabilize her.

“Oh, God, Gunner. Whatever you did, I think you scrambled my brain. I want you to fuck me. Fuck me with every bit of strength you have.”

“Get the fuck over there, then.” Gunner pointed to his Harley.

She kicked off her boot and yanked one of her pant legs free. Then she bent forward over his Harley, turning her head to see him standing behind her, looking like the most powerful man in the world. Her eyes rolled back into her skull as she felt his cock searching for the warmth waiting between her legs.

When he slid inside her, Raven had the fearful thought that the Harley might tip over. He had entered her with more force than she’d ever felt with any lover before. The bike barely moved, but Raven’s body slammed forward. She grunted at the feeling, grabbing onto the seat for purchase.

Gunner slammed into her from behind. He was groaning like a beast, and every hard thrust sent pleasure surging through Raven’s body. He had both hands on her hips, pulling her back to meet his own.

She cried out over and over again. It was like her orgasm never faded away. He held her at this plateau, keeping her riding that fine line of pleasure and the ultimate bliss. When he took her hair in his hand and yanked back, the fine line shattered.

Raven came again. Gunner’s cock was relentless, making the orgasm bigger and longer than the first one. With her eyes shut tight, she held on for dear life as her sexy biker pounded into her from behind.

She was moaning, barely getting the words out. “Yeah! Oh, God, yeah…”

Gunner sounded like an animal. Their love was on fire, and the flames licked both of their bodies. She could tell by his strangled noises that he was close. She closed her eyes and moaned, waiting to hear his eruption behind her. She didn’t have to wait long at all.

The sweating biker thrust one last time before turning his face up to the skies. He screamed out, his voice low and manly. Raven felt his manhood throbbing inside her as new waves of ecstasy shot through her.

He leaned forward, panting and exhausted. “Goddamn, woman.”

Raven laughed. He wrapped his arms around her and they caught their breath, leaning over his Harley. She could feel his heart beating through his chest as he pressed against her. She closed her eyes and relaxed, soaking in the beautiful moment the two of them had shared.

Gunner sat on the edge of the manmade lake, smoking a cigarette. Raven was dangling her feet into the water, kicking them gently. She was only in the matching set of pink underwear, loving the chance to get some color onto her skin. The peace was what she loved most, though.

The past six months had been nothing but non-stop work. Either working to get into the club or working to keep it from crumbling, which was a losing battle, it seemed. She sighed and pushed the thoughts from her mind. She knew that she would have to come back to them, but she was determined to enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet with Gunner.

She turned to look at him. He was in his jeans, lying back in the dirt. His tattoos gleamed in the sun. He wore a pair of sunglasses and had a cigarette in his hands. Her heart stopped for a split second as she looked at him. He really was an amazing specimen.

Gazing over at the bronzed hunk that had just ravaged Raven was enough to clear her mind. She turned back to the water, splashing and watching the slight breeze ripple the water. Raven closed her eyes and thought about the next time she’d be able to take a vacation.

Even if the club business was settled right away, it might be six months. The thought was heartbreaking. She got up and laid beside Gunner. She put her head on his chest, and he wrapped an arm around her. There was tranquility in his arms.

A half hour later, they got up, and Raven checked her phone. The peace was shattered as quickly as it had come.
