“Good boy.” She slowly released his hand.

Dan quickly vacated the bench and power walked away without looking back. Nya was not normally violent with mortals but she
grew
testy as more time went by without a proper feeding. Coming to the town square had been a serious waste of time. Because of Dan’s unwanted attention, there were quite a few people standing around shooting her suspicious glances. Unless she wanted more unwanted attention it was best that she take up her search of someone to
feed from
later. If she held off a couple days she should still be all right.

More than a little frustrated she made the trek back to her place. Nya didn’t notice anything was out of place at first but when she entered he
r cabin, she immediately felt
other presence
s
.

Standing in the center of her abode were the two people she’d spent months trying to avoid. Her first thought was to turn around and walk out, but this was her place. They were the ones who had to leave.

She glared in their direction. “What the hell are you doing here?”

Cutter and Blade Romanov gave her identical grins.

Chapter Four

Nya was standing in the middle of her worst nightmare. She’d fought so hard to avoid these two. From the moment she’d laid eyes on Cutter and Blade Romanov, she sensed trouble. She couldn’t figure out why they
had
bothered
her
so much
because
,
at the time, they’d had the same goal: stopping a maniacal rogue who had set out on a course of destruction and vengeance. She pushed them out of her mind as best as she could once the conflict was over, but in her isolation, they somehow managed to sneak into her subconscious.

Perhaps it was the hunger speaking, but the two of them standing in the middle of her tiny cabin only a few feet away from her, she couldn’t help
but
notice how attractive they were. Nya had seen many identical twins in her lifetime, but none w
ho looked as much alike as
the ones standing before her. It literally looked like they had been cloned, from their tall, athletic frames, chiseled jawlines and eyes that reminded her of blue ice. The only distinguishing feature was the style of their hair. While Cutter’s ash-blond hair was cut just above his collar with a few stray locks resting casually on his forehead, Blade’s flowed down his back in careless waves. Each style suited the men.

No matter how handsome they were, she couldn’t afford to have them around. Her peace of mind was at stake. Nya folded her arms across her chest. “Are you going to answer my questions or stand there staring?”

Cutter took a step forward which made Nya take one back. “You had to know we’d eventually find you. We told you the last time we met that we would.”

Nya paused for a moment before speaking. She’d forgotten how deep their voices were. Coupled with the Russian accents a lesser woman probably would ha
ve gone weak in the knees
. She gave herself a mental shake to stop herself from having inappropriate thoughts. “And I clearly stated that I wanted the two of you to leave me alone. But who am I kidding? I should have known your sister would betray me. I figured by the time that she did, I would have found someone else to help me cover my tracks.”

Blade shook his head. “It wasn’t like that. Actually, Sasha was quite reluctant to help us. She said we should give you the space you required.”

Nya raised a brow. “I find that hard to believe. If that were the case you wouldn’t be here.”

Cutter smirked. “We can be quite persuasive when we need to be.”

“So you put some kind of spell on your sister in order for her to tell you where I was?” Nya challenged.

Blade took another step closer, but Nya backed away. “
Of course
,
we didn’t. Like I said, she didn’t want to tell us your location at first but
in the end
,
it was her concern for you that made her help us.”

Nya snorted. “Concern for me? I find that hard to believe. It’s not like she and I are particularly close. It was a long shot to ask her for help anyway. I wish I had found another way to stay hidden away from you two.” She didn’t bother to hide the bitterness she felt at being let down. In an act of desperation, she’d asked the one person they wouldn’t suspect to help her. Their sister Sasha happened to be an extremely powerful witch. Sasha had been sympathetic to Nya’s plight and agreed to keep their plan a secret. With that in mind, Nya realized the twins would eventually figure out who had helped her and when faced with a side to choose, Sasha would pick her brothers. It was why Nya’s contingent plan was to reach out to another one of her connections to help her before the twins could find her.
Unfortunately
,
the warlock she’d attempted to reach out to had somehow fallen off the radar. No one had seen or heard from him in ages, which worried Nya. And because she had no other options than to keep moving from place to place, it was how she found herself in this predicament. She wasn’t foolish enough to think she could easily elude them. It didn’t matter that she’d lived over two centuries because Cutter and Blade had lived twice as long. For an immortal, the longer one lived, the more powerful they were.

Warlocks were the most vulnerable physically out of all immortal ty
pes. O
ne of the advantages that witches and warlocks had over vampires and
shifters
,
however,
was that they could master magic that could do virtually anything from telekinesis, teleportation from distances that was nearly impossible for other
s
, and transformation, to name a few. In essence, if Cutter and Blade decided to hold her prisoner, they could without breaking a sweat, and with their combined powers, there was no chance of escape. Her only way out of this current mess was to impress upon them her need for privacy. Maybe they would respect her wishes or perhaps they wouldn’t, but she had to at least try.

“Whether you believe it or not, Sasha was worried about you,” Cutter countered. “And before you argue otherwise, she cares about you because she considers you family and
knows
how much you mean to us.”

Nya shook her head in denial. “First of all, just because my descendant is mated to her mate’s brother doesn’t make us family. As for that last part, that’s pure bullshit. The three of us have barely had a conversation outside of taking down…” For some
reason
,
that last word was hard for her to form. She felt a tightness in her chest that made her feel uncomfortable which in turn made her angry because they had caused it. She wasn’t supposed to feel anything. She’d gone weeks enjoying the numbness and along comes these two to wreak havoc on the peaceful existence she’d created for herself. “I can’t do this with you two. Whatever it is you want from me, I refuse to participate. And if for no other reason, leave me be because this is what I want. I kept away from you two for a reason.”

Cutter and Blade exchanged a silent look that Nya couldn’t quite interpret before Cutter spoke again. “You should perhaps ask yourself why you spent the better part of a year trying to avoid us. Because of your past associations, you’ve dealt with quite a few unsavory characters, some who may still be roaming the Ea
rth, yet it’s the two of us you
avoid. We would find that a bit curious but it’s no mystery at all, is it? You know as well as we do the reason you’re avoiding us.”

Whatever game they were playing, Nya wasn’t willing to play. She was only a foot away from the door. Vampires were generally faster than warlocks but she’d have to make a quick exit
to put
some distance between them
because they could teleport
. The second she touched the doorknob however, an invisible force prevented her from moving.

“Planning to run away, Nya?” Cutter taunted. “You didn’t think we’d allow you to
leave
so easily after all the trouble we went through to find you. It will never be that simple again.”

She gritted her teeth, frustrated to be held against her will. Nya wished she would have made a run for it as soon as she’d saw that they’d invaded the cabin. “Let me go.”

Blade grinned. “I’m sure your hearing is fine,
solnyska
. My brother said we weren’t letting you get away.”

She attempted to move, but whatever spell they’d placed on her had left Nya paralyzed. To add insult to injury that bastard had the nerve to use an endearment in referencing her. Having lived as long as she had, Nya had learned several different languages. While Russian was one of them, it wasn’t her strongest. Her translation might be slightly off but he’d called her ‘little sun’. “Don’t call me that.”

The twins shared another look between each other, both men seeming quite amused with themselves. While they might have found this situation funny, Nya was not amused. “If we release you from this immobilization spell, you might be compelled to take off. We like you exactly where you are.”

Both men advanced until they were mere inches from her, one twin on either side of her. If she could flinch she would have. Despite her inability to move, her body still managed to react to their nearness. A searing heat spread throughout her body, within each nerve of her body down to her pussy. There was no way to temper the
fire
which intensified the sensation. Her breath caught in her throat as Cutter cupped her face in his palm.

“You’re very beautiful, Nya. You have no idea how long we’ve dreamed of this moment.”

Blade pressed a kiss at the nape of her neck.

Something akin to a jolt of
lightning
coursed through her being and there wasn’t a thing she could do about it. The only body part this stupid spell allowed her to move was her eyelids. She closed her eyes, not
wanting
to
see what would happen next. They might take her, use her body for their own pleasure without her consent and justify it in the end. T
his was one of her greatest fear
s. Losing her free will. She’d spent the majority of her life tied to someone else’s whims so it took a long time to be comfortable in her
own
autonomy. And with a snap of her finger, it was once again taken away from her. But one thing she would not do was beg. Nya had vowed a long time ago to beg for no man.

“Look at me,
solnyska
.
” Cutter’s face was so close to Nya’s that the warmth of his breath fanned her face.

“No.”

Blade ran a finger down her spine. “Why not?”

“Because I won’t watch you two take from me what is mine to give. Just know that when this is over, I
plan on killing you both if it
’s the last thing I do.”

Her words were met with silence at first and she wasn’t certain if they would actually respond until amused chuckles met her ears, turning her already simmering anger to a deep rage. She opened her eyes. “I will make you both regret this. I sensed something wasn’t right with you two but to do this is just…Just get this over with. It’s just my body. It will never be me.”

Cutter and Blade stopped laughing at once. To her surprise, Nya could move her body again, and the twins put some distance between them. “We only laughed because you were extremely adorable when you threatened to kill us.”

“It wasn’t a threat. It was
a promise, you sons of bitches!

Blade’s lips tilted to a half grin. “Yes, it’s true, our mother can be quite unpleasant when she chooses to be but let’s leave her out of this, shall we?”

“I’m glad you find this situation funny, but I have yet to see the joke.”

Cutter nodded. “Of course. This is no laughing matter. My brother and I have somewhat of a dark sense of humor. We did, however, get a bit carried away. Obviously being this close to you does things to our bodies that
make
us a bit uncouth.”

Nya pressed her back against the door, ready to bolt at any second. “It seems like the two of you have gone through a lot of trouble just for a quick fuck. I’m fairly certain there are women who would love to sleep with one of the Romanov brothers. Your family has quite the reputation.”

Cutter reached out as if he wanted to touch her but thought better of it. He dropped his hand to his side and clenched it into a fist. “As you’ve pointed out, if we were only interested in a quick fuck, we could have gotten it from any number of women.”

For reasons she didn’t understand
that statement didn’t sit well with her either.
“Then why me? Isn’t there someone else you could harass? Perhaps you have a vampire fetish. I’m not the only unattached femme in the world, you know.”

Blade narrowed his
gaze. “Do you think we would go through all this trouble for, as you so delicately put it, ‘a quick fuck’? You just pointed out yourself that we have never had a shortage of bed partners. No Nya, you’re so much more important to us than that, and perhaps if you left your state of denial you’d realize that.”

She shook her head. “I don’t know what you want from me unless you flat out say it. I’ve stopped guessing people’s motives a long time ago.”

A slight smile touched Cutter’s lips. “Nya, you’re not a stupid woman. You knew there was something between the three of us the moment you saw us. You felt it, I know you did. It’s why you’ve refused to look us in the eyes. It’s also why whenever we’d walk into a room you’d vacate it. And it’s the reason you’ve spent so long trying to hide from us even though deep down you knew we’d eventually find you. You are our—”

Nya shook her head vehemently.
“Don’t say it. I’m nothing to you. Even if I did have the slightest interest in either one of you, what makes you think I’d want to be with both of you
at the same time
? Just because you have some kinky twin thing going, it doesn’t mean
that I want to be a part of it.

“Because we believe that you wanted us to find you. Why else would you choose our sister of all people to help you? Out of all the witches or
warlocks
,
you could have sought help from you went to Sasha,” Blade pointed out.

Nya shrugged. “Perhaps my options were limited and like I’ve already said, I intended to find someone else but my other contact has gone missing. Look, this is getting ridiculous. What part of ‘I don’t want anything to do with you’ don’t you understand?”
