Two billionaire brothers enjoy twisted games where women are the sport. They find a female, date her, and compete to see who can bed her first.
Too bad they picked the wrong one this time. Dawn's too smart for their verbal play and too quick to get trapped by clever ploys.
The more the brothers work to capture her heart, the more they discover she might not be theirs to play.

he worst thing
my parents could’ve done to my brother and I was be rich.
Money gave us time to wander the earth lazily in our massive yacht. It allowed for many indiscretions—partying three days straight with no sleep or food just the need to dance and sex till our hearts’ desired something else. We played hard and lived better than most of the planet’s population.
And the women.
Well, the women were our sport. It was the only way we judged our worth among us two, the only method of entertainment once the clubs and excitement of being adults on our own shifted into endless days of monotonous boredom.
Each month or two, we courted one unsuspecting woman together and battled for her love. No matter her age, race, size, family background, or even class level, she fell for one of us. Sometimes both. We judged her love by who she slept with first. And once we tallied up the scores and picked the winner, we left her there. Whether on her knees in tears or screaming curses at us, we moved on to the next city and the future female challenge in our twisted lives.
So with complete confidence and no worries, we docked in exotic Miami ready to play.
We shouldn’t have.
At times I sat in my empty apartment, drinking until I passed out and thinking about that day.
Had there been any signs, something foreboding enough to signal our oncoming demise? Whatever it was, that summer was the last time I fully lived.
Every day after that, I died.
I didn’t have a name for this torture, but I knew some would say it was a broken heart. Others would simply call it karma.
Chapter 1
~Dawn
“
Let me get
this straight. You’ll give me five thousand dollars to pose for some pictures and all because you like my wavy hair and weird eyes?” I asked the two hot guys in front of me.
“No,” one of the them said. “Not weird eyes. Lovely. I can’t even tell what color they are.”
“They’re gray and not that enchanting.”
“They’re not just gray,” he countered. “There’s some gold and a few hints of blue.”
Oh brother. Where is this going?
I shielded my eyes to get a better look at this gorgeous pair.
The sun battered down on my caramel skin and made the beach so bright it was almost blinding when I stared in certain areas. According to the news, this was the hottest Miami summer of the year. Temperatures had remained in the hundreds. Regardless, I’d gathered all eight of my books, slung them in my crappy car, and drove down to South Beach.
As anyone would assume the place was packed with women dressed in the tiniest bikinis and men draped in muscle. Still not taking a hint that South Beach wasn’t a great study zone, I propped myself under a rented umbrella with a blanket. A pitcher of my special smoothie, Earth Shaker, sat on my right. In my lap rested an opened book that would prepare me for my first semester of law school in the fall.
No worries.
But then, two gods with vanilla skin wrapped in muscle and oozing sexual yumminess stood directly in front of me, and now I no longer wanted to read six hundred pages on the history of American Law. Now I yearned to slip my fingers against their skin and find out if they were as solid as they seemed.
“Just a picture?” I tossed them a skeptical look.
“You’re a unique beauty,” The blond one said. “What are you mixed with?”
“How do you know I’m mixed?”
“Because there isn’t one race all over this world that owns your type of beauty. We all have a sexy quality and one we don’t prefer. Every race has some DNA strain that they’d love to get rid of and trade with another. But your face, eyes, hair, and skin color are exquisite, almost this perfect blend of everything.”
I gulped. “Um. . .I’m not interested in having my picture taken, and my mother was Puerto Rican and my dad Irish so let’s calm down with all the compliments. It’s really not that special of a blend.”
“Please, it won’t take longer than a half hour at the most.” He tapped his finger on the end of a camera that held more buttons and switches than I’d seen. Clearly the man saw picture taking as way more serious than the average person, but that didn’t mean I would star in his images, especially since I didn’t know him.
The other guy with the brown wavy hair never said anything, but he didn’t have to. It might have stopped the sex radiating from him.
Dear God, why am I being tempted today? I’m trying to be a good girl this summer.
And these men were distractions. They were eye candy—chiseled physiques in those small European cut bathing suits, full lips, and high, yet masculine cheekbones. However, they did have their differences. Where one’s hair was long and blond, the others laid low in brown waves. Where the blond stared back at me with the bluest eyes, the other gazed with sparkling green ones.
“Just give us an hour of your time. Nothing else,” the blond said.
One can only dream. Get rid of them and get back to work.
“I don’t know if you haven’t noticed, but I’m pretty busy.” I gestured to all of the books scattered around my legs as well as the small pile near my feet.
“What are you reading?” The blond bent over and grabbed the exact one I had in my hand.
“Excuse me?” I reached for it.
He kept it away from me and studied the cover. “This has to be boring.”
“It is.” I rolled my eyes. “Give me my book back.”
“If it’s boring and you know this, then why are you reading it?” He handed it back to me.
“Because the University of Miami law school suggested these books for their first year students.” I shrugged. “I like to be prepared before a semester starts.”
“It’s summertime.”
“I’m aware of that.”
“You need to be saved.”
I sighed. “Perhaps, I need to be saved from
you
, not by you.”
“No way. That would just be wrong.” He chuckled. “Let me introduce you to your saviors, this is my brother Frederick next to me and my name’s Max.” He extended his hand for me to shake.
I didn’t take it. “I really need to get back to reading. Thanks guys, but I’m not interested.”
Mr. Brown waves and green eyes prowled my way and sat down right next to me. His earthy cologne filled the air in just a perfect way. Again, he continued to not speak, yet his bathing suit that formed around his thick thighs and impressive. . .crotch said more than his lips could have.
Concentrate. This is what Dad said would happen. I would go early to Miami, get caught up in parties all summer, and be unprepared for school.
“Nice to meet both of you, but I’m busy. You two are good-looking and should have no problem convincing another lucky woman to spend an hour, taking pictures with you.” I opened the book back to the page I had it on. “But I am not that lucky woman. I am the unlucky one that has a shitload of pages to read. So have a good day. See you later. Bye. Peace. Adios.
A riva derchi
and all that good stuff.”
They exchanged glances and laughed.
Max sat down on my other side and raked his fingers through those blonde strands. “How do you think you’re going to get rid of us?”
I tensed and wasn’t sure I enjoyed being between them after he made a comment like that. “Well, there’s a number of ways I can get rid of you. Have you ever experienced a lightening pain to your balls? My brother told me it hurt when I used my taser on him.”
Max shielded his groin with his hands. “Why would you do that to your poor brother?”
“Because he was doing something and I asked him to stop, but he wouldn’t.”
“And you just happened to have a taser around?”
“I like to keep weapons around me just in case the male species is readying itself to attack or aggravate me.”
Max chuckled. “I like you more and more.”
“Nice meeting you, Max, but your time is up. The point of my taser story is that if I’ll burn my own brother’s testicles, then I’ll have no problem searing yours.” I returned to reading.
He raised his hand in the air, got up, and stood. “What do you think, brother? We’ve been searching all day. Either I didn’t like the woman or you didn’t. We both agree on this one, but she’s more violent than I’m used to—”
More violent than he’s used too? Alrighty.
I waved my hand. “Excuse me. Feel free to finish this conversation somewhere else.”
Max ignored me. “Maybe it’s a no-go for this part of the beach. Let’s go up north.”
Whatever. Just leave.
“I say we find some way to convince her.” Frederick finally talked and his deep voice did naughty things to my insides. Some sort of enchanting accent laced each word. “I want her. She’s perfect.”
I shouldn’t have, but I risked a glance his way. My umbrella cast a shadow on his face. The shade gave a paranormal effect to those green eyes. They glowed a little in the darkness. Our gazes met and I couldn’t tell how long we’d been staring at the other.
Max cleared his throat. “It looks like you’re doing a good job of convincing her.”
Frederick formed his lips into a wicked grin. “What’s your name?”
“If I tell you, will you leave?”
“That’s not fair.”
“Why not?” I asked.
“I damn sure don’t want to leave after sitting here next to you.”
It was my turn to laugh. “Do you both carry around a big book with really bad lines? No wait. Are you both the two guys that actually wrote the book? Am I sitting next to famous people?”
“We’re famous, but not for books.” Frederick took my own book out of my hand, closed it, and lay the thick volume on the other side of him. “You see your phone over there?”
I picked it up. “You mean this one, the one I’ll be using to call the cops in a few seconds?”
“Yes.” He had the nerve to lick his lips. “That phone is just one of the many things my parents make executive orders over.”
I considered that. “So your parents own AMD Tech?”
“No.” He shook his head. “They own the company that owns AMD. You probably never heard of them, but their—”
“Prism Corporation?” I leaned my head to the side.
His confidant expression faltered for a minute and then returned back as if he’d just adjusted a mask on his face. “So you’ve heard of Prism?”
“Yes, I think I’m going to practice Corporate Law after I graduate. Learning the top business guys in the world is something I’m interested in, sort of a hobby.”
“Sounds boring.” Max snapped a picture of Frederick and me.
I wagged my finger at him. “I didn’t give you permission to take that picture of me.”
“Ignore him,” Frederick said. “So you’re the type that never knows what you are going to do?”
“I have several things that I’m going to do right now.” I glared at him. “It may involve kidnapping. Let’s hope your rich mommy and daddy don’t mind you two missing.”
