Dalton ran his hands over her back and slowly thrust up inside her. Her slick folds wrapped around his throbbing cock, creating sensations destined to send him over the edge. Soon Dalton had his arms wrapped tight around Tara while he pushed into her. The slap of their bare skin punctuated Dalton’s heavy breath as he neared the point of no return.

His orgasm began and he plunged himself inside Tara. Wave after wave of climax washed over him. Dalton’s body tensed one last time before the pair collapsed together and caressed each other gently while they shared light kisses. Their ardor cooled and Tara lifted herself and smiled at Dalton.

“I think we should clean up. I’d just as soon Cole didn’t walk in on us.”

Dalton chuckled. “He’d want to have another round.”

With a final kiss between them, they crawled out of the chair. A few minutes later they were back, clothes in place as they enjoyed their time together. Dalton enjoyed a closeness he’d never had before with Tara.

Wrapped in each other’s arms, they were drifting happily when the front door sprang open.

“Hey! Where’s everyone?” yelled Cole.

A tired chuckle emerged from Dalton as he waved. “We’re over here. What’s going on?”

Cole’s face beamed like the sun as he looked at the two. “We’re celebrating tonight. I got my job!”

Dalton’s stomach churned violently as his darkest fear came true. He fought to bring himself upright as he and Tara unwound from each other. “That’s great, Cole. We’re happy for you. I’m sure you’ll be great at it.”

Tara wiped her eyes and forced a smile. “Yeah, Cole. That’s great. Whatever you want to do to celebrate.”

“First some wine. I think we need some to celebrate.”

“Sure. Of course we do.” Dalton managed to stammer out.

Cole practically skipped to the kitchen and fished out the corkscrew. He grinned at the pair as he twisted the metal into the cork. When neither of them moved, Cole motioned them into action. “Come on! Get the wine glasses. We need to party.”

The melancholy lifted for Dalton. You had to be happy when you were around Cole.
If I love Cole, then I should be able to celebrate his new job. I’ll throw a hell of a pity party for myself later
. He walked into the kitchen and retrieved their three mismatched wine glasses that had appeared over the past year.

Coming back to Cole’s side, he held them out just as Tara joined them. A huge grin covered Cole’s face as he filled the glasses. He set the bottle on the counter and then handed one glass to each of them. Tara lifted hers with a slight sparkle in her smile. It looked like she’d came to the same conclusion he had—neither of them wanted to tarnish Cole’s achievement. A person ddidn’t get his dream job every day.

Cole grabbed the remaining glass and held it out. He beamed at the other two. “Here’s to the new job!”

Dalton and Tara muttered agreement and took a sip from their glasses. Tara put hers on the table and with forced cheer said, “I think you’ll really enjoy Oregon.”

Cole’s eyebrows knitted together and his mouth twisted. “Why would I enjoy Oregon?”

Dalton turned to his love, his mind a whirl of confusion. “Your new job is in Oregon, isn’t it?”

“No. It’s here in town—how else could we stay together?”

“Wait, wait. You interviewed for a job in Oregon, and all these other places, too,” Dalton said.

“Yeah, it would be great, too. Maybe when you two graduate. Portland is super liberal, so they wouldn’t have any problem with our family.’

The term
family
brought a smile to both Tara and Dalton. “So where are you working?” asked Tara.

“Minneapolis Parks and Rec. They offered me the job today. You didn’t think I was going to Oregon, did you?”

“Yes we did, you dumb ass! You flew out for an interview and said you’d take the job if they offered it,” Dalton said.

Cole froze, looking at them with shock. “No way! I can’t lose either of you. Much less both of you. That would just be stupid.”

The conversation dissolved into hugs and tears with little articulate conversation. It was several minutes before Dalton and Tara were clear on everything. By then the tears of sadness were long gone, and tears of joy burst from all three of them.

“Damn, I can’t believe you thought I was leaving you behind,” Cole said.

“Words, you big lug. Whole words next time, so we know what’s going on,” chided Dalton.

Tara sighed in relief. “Damn, I’m so happy, too. We’re going to have a huge celebration now. Whatever you want, Cole.”

“How about another weekend trip to the Dells?”

“Sounds like a great plan,” agreed Dalton.

Chapter Sixteen

Cole walked in buttoning up his regulation tan shirt. Even though he’d been at the job for a couple of months now, he was still proud of his ranger uniform. Dalton looked up from the architectural drawing he was working on for class to give a wolf whistle. A faint voice called out from the bedroom. “I knew I was looking good, but even through the walls? That’s impressive,” Tara said.

Cole chuckled as he retrieved his broad-brimmed hat and settled it on his head. He managed to get it situated perfectly in time for Tara to walk past and flip up the back of the hat. “Hey, knock it off.”

“That’s what I was trying to do, but the ranger caught me.”

Cole chuckled while he adjusted the hat again before giving Tara a soft chuckle. “I didn’t catch anybody. I hope the two horny guys who were gettin’ hot and heavy in the wildflower garden learned their lesson.”

“They were doing it in the middle of the garden?”

“Well, they were kind of hiding it. But I swear one guy had his hand down the other’s pants.”

Dalton chuckled and winked at Cole. “Sounds kind of like us.”

Tara giggled and nodded in agreement. “Yeah, when did you turn into mister goodie-two-shoes?”

“Hey, it’s serious shit when you get caught doing that stuff.”

Dalton and Tara converged on Cole, running their hands over him and making out until Cole’s hard cock was clearly visible through his pants. And stopped.

Dalton groped Cole’s dick and smiled. “Now you have something to look forward to when you get home tonight.”

Cole’s cock twitched and he glared at his lovers. “You two are so gonna pay. I’ll think up something we’ve never done before, and you’re doin’ it.”

“Yeah, the big man makes all kinds of threats. We’ll see how long studly holds out,” Dalton said.

Cole looked from one to the other and then his eyebrows shot up. “Just wait ‘til we have kids. Then you’ll see who can do what.”

Dalton and Tara’s jaws dropped. A grin covered Cole’s face as he closed the door to head to work.

About the Author

Jon Keys’ earliest memories revolve around books; with the first ones he can recall reading himself being “The Warlord of Mars” and anything with Tarzan. (The local library wasn’t particularly up to date.) But as puberty set in he started sneaking his mother’s romance magazines and added the world of romance and erotica to his mix of science fiction, fantasy, and comic books.

A voracious reader for almost half a century, Jon has only recently begun creating his own flights of fiction for the entertainment of others. Born in the Southwest and now living in the Midwest, Jon has worked as a ranch hand, teacher, computer tech, roughneck, designer, retail clerk, welder, artist, and, yes, pool boy; with interests ranging from kayaking and hunting to painting and cooking, he draws from a wide range of life experiences to create written works that draw the reader in and wrap them in a good story.
