Trickle Down Tyranny (19 page)

I’m convinced we’re witnessing, for the first time in our history, a president of the United States take a page from the Nazi playbook as he tries desperately to consolidate his power.

The Tea Party is one of Obama’s prime targets. I am sure that the Tea Party has already been infiltrated by leftists who will pretend to be Tea Party members and speak out as if they are, saying racist and violent things in the name of the Tea Party to give the administration a reason to step in and shut the Tea Party down. Tea Party members—and other conservatives who see the dangers of this administration—must take extreme care not to react to the insults and challenges that are hurled at them by Obama and his leftist cohorts.

It’s one of the tactics developed by the godfather of the community organizing in America, Saul Alinsky. Barack Obama and many of his closest advisors—including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and presidential advisors David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel—are Alinsky disciples. Obama himself cut his teeth as a community organizer in Alinsky’s hometown.

I want to make you aware of what this background means for those of us Obama is trying to subjugate.

Rules for Radicals

The president and his advisors and labor union leaders are disciples of Chicago-born Saul Alinsky. Alinsky was a career leftist political agitator. He literally wrote the book on how to be an effective community organizer:
Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals.
The first thing you notice when you open the book is that it’s dedicated to the devil: “[T]he first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.”

Alinsky’s earned his nickname—the father of community organizing—during a nearly 40-year career going around the country and stirring up “the masses” against their capitalist oppressors. He was the ideological father of Barack Obama, the community organizer we elected president. Obama spent time in that role in Chicago on Alinsky initiatives like Project Vote and the Developing Communities Project.
29
Here’s what he said about the experience: It was “the best education I ever had, better than anything I got at Harvard.”
30

Obama isn’t the only one in his administration who cut his teeth on Alinsky’s radical teachings.

The key figure in the administration’s push to bring America under leftist rule is senior advisor David Axelrod. Axelrod was mentored by Alinsky disciple David S. Canter. Canter founded the Chicago-based leftist journal
Hyde Park Kenwood Voices
and “helped educate [Axelrod] politically.”
31
When leftists use the word “educate” they mean “indoctrinate.” A piece about Axelrod in the Chicago Tribune had this to say: “[I]n his early years as a political consultant, Axelrod, following in the footsteps of his mentor, the political strategist Don Rose, carved out a reputation for himself as a skillful specialist working for local progressive candidates.”
32
Rose was a member of a Communist Party front organization called the Alliance to End Repression.

Axelrod’s parents were leftists, too. His mother, Myril Axelrod, was a journalist who worked for the commie tabloid newspaper
PM
in the 1940s. The journal was aggressively pro-communist and boasted among its writers communist sympathizer I. F. Stone, as well as a former editor of the communist periodical
Daily Worker
and a leader of the Communist Youth League.

Axelrod never tried to hide his communist sympathies. In an interview in which he explained that it might be necessary to keep the Bush tax cuts for the rich in order to extend them to the poor and middle class, Axelrod said, “We have to deal with the world as we find it, the world of what it takes to get this done.”

Axelrod was quoting directly from
Rules for Radicals
.
33

Rules for Radicals
lays out Alinsky’s strategy for promoting class warfare—the same thing Obama did when he toured the country promoting his 2011 “jobs” bill and trying to sell his “tax the rich” strategy. Alinsky’s intention was nothing short of ending capitalism. In an interview he gave just before his death in 1972, Alinsky described our government as “American fascism.” What is the only alternative? “Radical social change.”
34

In his 2008 speech accepting the Democratic nomination for president, Obama put forward his version of this Alinsky mantra: “Change we can believe in.”

Alinsky and Obama both had the same outcomes in mind.

Obama and Axelrod aren’t the only Alinsky followers in the administration. Hillary Clinton’s senior honors thesis at Wellesley College was titled “THERE IS ONLY THE FIGHT—An Analysis of the Alinsky Model.” Clinton’s thesis was finally been made public against her wishes.

From the 1940s through the late ’60s, Alinsky traveled the country staging sit-ins and other types of demonstrations, as well as boycotts. He worked to organize urban neighborhoods by politicizing their residents and getting them to unite against the “enemy.” During that time, Alinsky carried a business card that said “Have trouble, will travel.”
35

Here’s the most important thing you need to know about Alinsky: He put the political philosophy of the Obama administration down on paper.

First, Alinsky likened leftist radicals like himself to the people who stood up against Hitler in World War II. The “haves” that he was trying to overthrow were the equivalent of the Nazis. The “haves” still are Nazis for the Obama administration.

Alinsky advocated using minorities to expand the power of the left. Like Obama, he didn’t care at all about making minorities’ lives better, only about gaining power. Like all leftists—Obama included—Alinsky saw people not as individuals but as members of racial or ethnic groups.

Alinsky defined his agenda based on two things: “power” and “compromise.” In his words, “Every organization known to man, from government down, has had only one reason for being—that is, organization for power in order to put into practice or promote its common purpose.”
36
Alinsky’s intent was “to organize for power: how to get it and how to use it.”
37

If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s exactly what Obama bases his political philosophy on. The ends justify the means if the ends are achieving power.

During the health-care “debate,” without a single Republican vote, against the will of the American people who protested in town hall meetings through the summer of 2009, and through a series of payoffs of hesitant Democrats in order to get even the Democratic votes needed for passage, the Obama administration defined itself as willing to engage in any behavior in order to achieve its ends.

It’s classic Alinsky.

Another Alinsky principle: If you lose power, as Democrats did in the 2010 elections, compromise: “[T]o the organizer, compromise is a key and beautiful word. . . . If you start with nothing, demand 100 per cent, then compromise for 30 per cent, you’re 30 per cent ahead.”
38

Radical Islamists have been paying attention to the Alinsky playbook, too. To them Americans’ sense of right and wrong is a sign of weakness. Taking advantage of the West’s sense of “fairness,” Islamists in the Netherlands have managed to get the government to require that the name of Christ be spelled with a lowercase
c
because Christianity is offensive to Muslims. In Britain, images of Winnie the Pooh have been banned so that Muslims don’t have to deal with pictures of a pig, which would be offensive to their sensibilities.
39
The practice of demanding that democracies bow to the will of the true enemies of freedom is an Alinsky tactic that every antidemocratic group from radical Islamists to the ACLU to the Obama administration takes advantage of at every turn.

Alinsky used personal attacks as another powerful weapon. The last of the 13 rules he laid down in
Rules for Radicals
is this: “Pick the target. Freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” He explained that “[r]idicule is man’s most potent weapon.” The leftist media’s vicious attack on Sarah Palin and their attempts to blame the murderous Tucson rampage by madman Jared Loughner on conservative hate speech represent Alinsky’s tactics at their ugliest and lowest.

I should know. Chris Matthews, the leftist host of MSNBC’s
Hardball
, blamed me for creating a climate of hate that led to Loughner’s shooting spree, saying, “People like Michael Savage, for instance, who every time you listen to them are furious, furious at the left, with anger that just builds and builds in their voice . . . every night with ugly talk, ugly sounding talk.”
40

Alinsky’s tactics are so much a part of leftist thinking that they’ve become second nature. Alinsky defined and put into practice every one of the principles and tactics that are in use by the Obama administration in America today. In his days as a “community organizer” Obama absorbed much of Alinsky’s teachings. He’s said so himself. As president, he’s putting Alinsky’s tactics into practice.

We’re living under a government headed and run by vermin who see America as the enemy.

Don’t believe me?

Here’s how Alinsky’s son explained how the Obama team put his father’s teachings into practice at the 2008 Democratic National Convention:

All the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situation and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people. . . . The Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style. . . . Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness.
41

It was Alinsky who taught his followers to “never let a serious crisis go to waste.” Those were the same words used by Obama’s then Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

The Obama administration takes his advice.

They used the underwear bomber crisis to make every airline passenger submit to invasive and dangerous X-rays or pat-downs every time they fly. It’s another incursion on our rights and our privacy that marks a further step toward this administration’s using a crisis, even a manufactured one, in order to advance its agenda of total control.

The United States is fast becoming Alinsky’s America, with labor unions and crony capitalists and race- and agenda-based groups of thugs of every sort vying for a piece of the action.

The Obama administration exists for one purpose only: to amass the power to push through its dictatorial agenda and gain control for a group of blue-collar union bosses and white-collar financial industry cohorts who have ingratiated themselves with the president. And he owes it all to Saul Alinsky and the new generation of subversive community organizers and activists and radical leftist Democrats.

Rules for Beating Radicals

Here’s some advice for you as you watch this battle unfold.

Never believe a word that comes out of a Democrat’s mouth.
Lying is their standard mode of operation, and they’re not about to change now. They can’t let us hear what they really believe, because most Americans would immediately call for their arrest on the grounds that what they say constitutes criminal activity.

Never negotiate with a leftist Democrat.
There’s no such thing as “good faith” where leftist liberals are concerned. I know. I’ve been there. I’m banned from entering Britain for being a passionate nationalist by corrupt British leftists of the same type as now preside in America. We’ve seen during the first two years of the Obama administration how the left operates when they have control over both houses of Congress and the executive branch. When we take back the presidency and the Senate in 2012, we’ve got to remember that our first job is not to work with Democrats and give them a chance to continue to influence America’s future, but to do anything we must to begin to undo the damage they’ve caused.

Never compromise with a Democrat.
As I’ve explained, for those on the left, any compromise is a victory. For real Americans, any compromise with the left is a loss. To allow even the smallest component of the leftist agenda to be considered legitimate is to grant a foothold that you may never be able to recover. When Democrats uses the word
compromise
, they mean that their enemies have given in.

Attack Democrats before they attack you.
Democrats like our president have no core principles except the lust for power. Following Alinsky, they say, “Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules.” Because those on the left are unprincipled but will nonetheless attack you if you violate one of
your
own principles, it is important to call them out based on your principles and demand that they act in a principled manner.

Obstruct Democrats at every opportunity.
If a Democrat calls you an obstructionist, take it as a compliment. It’s the Democrats who are the true obstructionists; they’re the ones who stand in the way of individual Americans exercising their right to take care of themselves. They’re the ones who want to make every decision for us, to obstruct our right to live our lives as we see fit. They’re the ones who confiscate our money and squander it on an educational system that is nothing more than an excuse for teachers’ union members to live off the public while undermining through negligence and self-interest the lives of the very students they’re charged with educating.
