Two Dude Ranchers for Dawn [Cowboy City 1] (Siren Publishing Ménage and More) (12 page)

Dawn clutched at Garrett’s massive thigh, digging her nails into it as he pushed into her. Ben reached around her hip to rub at her bud, making her shudder and open wider to allow Garrett in.

Garrett’s hand closed around the back of her neck, restraining her so she couldn’t pull away when he thrust into her again, deeper this time. He stretched her wide, wider than she thought possible, and she held her breath when he pulled out, almost to the tip. His cock filled her again almost instantly, and she felt his pelvis meet the back of her thighs and knew he was in to the hilt.

“Oh, God,” Ben grunted against her shoulder. “I can feel both of you.”

The attention on her clit intensified, and Dawn rocked against it, causing an eruption of noise from the two men. She did it again, coming forward to meet their thrusts as they fucked her in unison, the tempo increasing until Ben was jerking into her frantically, his motions erratic, and Garrett was pounding his cock in and out of her cunt.

Her muscles started to pulsate in a deep, undulating motion that robbed the last of her breath. She fell back against Ben, pulling Garrett with her, her fingers tearing at his hair.

He began to pant out broken words, his voice so hoarse he sounded as if he hurt to speak. “That’s it, Dawn. Come for us, baby. I can’t hold out much longer—I’m gonna—oh, fuck.”

His grip on her neck tightened, and he began to ram into her hard and fast, his gaze locked with hers. Ben started to moan loudly beneath her as his own orgasm hit, and Dawn lost the ability to think, hear, or breathe. She tumbled into a climax so powerful, Garrett almost got his wish and fucked her until she fainted.

Chapter Twelve

Garrett pulled out of Dawn and collapsed onto his back, his feet still tangled with hers and Ben’s.

His throat burned as he sucked in one painful, ragged breath after another. He yanked off the condom with a trembling hand and grimaced at how sensitive his cock still was.

The bed shook, and he heard Dawn’s gasp and knew Ben had just pulled out of her. It took every bit of strength he had left, but Garrett managed to roll onto his front and crawl up to lay beside Dawn as Ben lifted her off his body.

Dawn gave a weak smile but kept her eyes closed as Garrett pressed a kiss to her forehead and pulled her to his side, encouraging her to curl around him. Ben got rid of his condom and slid up behind her, kissing her on the shoulder as he wrapped an arm around her waist and lay his head down on the pillow beside her. She didn’t stir, and Garrett was pretty sure she was already asleep.

He closed his eyes, certain he would fall asleep straight away, but he couldn’t stop thinking. He’d heard Ben tell Dawn that he loved her.

The memory of those words made Garrett’s gut clench. It wasn’t jealousy or envy he felt, it was fear. What if he admitted he felt the same way, only for Ben to confess it was only something he’d said in the heat of the moment? Garrett didn’t even want to think about the fallout that would result from that. And if Ben
had
meant it, what the hell difference did it make anyway? Dawn lived on the other side of the damned country.

Garrett asked Ben if he meant what he’d said, staring deep into his eyes, watching carefully for his reaction to the question. Ben had never been able to lie to him, and this time was no exception, so he simply avoided the question.

Sleep came finally, and Garrett awoke many hours later to find Dawn still sleeping soundly and Ben’s side of the bed empty. He went to look for him, finding him in the kitchen, sitting on a hard backed chair in his boxers, sipping a cup of coffee.

Garrett mussed Ben’s hair, unable to resist the urge to touch him. Ben always fell out of bed looking good enough to drag right back into it. “Couldn’t sleep?”

“I got enough. I wanted to get up before the alarm woke Dawn. Is she still passed out in there?”

Garrett nodded, and then he grimaced as he took a swig out of Ben’s mug and remembered too late how god-awful his coffee always was. He got up to make his own, grabbing Ben’s cup and throwing the contents down the sink.

“Hey, I was enjoying that.”

“I doubt it. I’ll make you another.”

He sat down next to Ben a few minutes later and handed him a mug. He took a gulp and groaned in appreciation. “You’re right. Your coffee is better.”

Garrett smiled into his cup. “This I know.”

They drank in silence, and each time Garrett cast a glance at Ben, he was staring into his mug, lost in his own thoughts.

“So, are we gonna let her to sleep?” Ben’s voice cut through the silence unexpectedly.

“I guess. The bus usually leaves just before eleven, doesn’t it? We can set the alarm for nine so she doesn’t oversleep.”

Ben put his cup down hard. “If we don’t wake her up, we won’t see her before she leaves.”

“What choice do we have? The other guys have the day off and it’s our turn to feed the horses and turn them out.”

Garrett thought about reminding his lover that Dawn might not take kindly to seeing them, but he decided against it.

“How about we go in early and get them fed, then head back? We can turn them out later.”

Ben drained his cup and got to his feet, his mind obviously made up. Garrett doubted an extra half hour would make any difference, but he knew they had to at least try. He took another mouthful of coffee and stood up. Whether Dawn liked it or not, she was damn well gonna say good-bye to them.

Garrett walked out of the kitchen and turned around to find Ben still standing in the middle of the room, looking slightly confused.

“What are you waiting for?” Garrett asked, remembering too late that he hadn’t actually bothered to answer Ben’s question. “Don’t just stand there addle-headed, get dressed.”

Ben grunted as the bale of hay he hadn’t seen coming slammed into him. “Garrett! What the fuck?”

The other man stopped mid-swing, about to toss another bale in Ben’s direction. “What’s wrong now?”

“You damn near took my head off, that’s what. Look, we’re both in a hurry to get through here, but we’ll be even later if you knock me out.”

Garrett tossed the next bale, harder than was really necessary. “Then I guess you’d better start paying attention.”

“You’ve sure changed your tune in the last couple of hours. If I remember right, it was me who had to convince you it was a good idea to start early.”

Garrett grunted but said nothing more and threw some more hay at him. Ben dumped the bale and spun around, about to tell Garrett to go fuck himself, but then he remembered there might be a reason why his lover was so out of sorts. After Dawn had damn near killed them by fucking them both senseless, she’d fallen asleep, probably too exhausted to do anything else. That’s when Garrett had asked Ben if he’d meant it when he’d shouted out that he loved her.

“I guess that would be crazy, huh?” Ben had said, ducking the question. He remembered thinking it, over and over again, as he’d exploded into her when his body had surrendered to hers.

“Yeah. I guess so,” Garrett had said, looking down at the sleeping woman curled into his chest. He let out a ragged sigh that said more than words ever could, and Ben knew he wasn’t the only one who had fallen for her. When Garrett closed his eyes to sleep without saying anything else, Ben just didn’t have the courage to push him on it. Maybe Garrett had decided to ignore what he felt for the woman sleeping between them, but Ben wasn’t so sure he could do the same.

Another bale of hay caught Ben unawares, but when he cast an angry look across the barn, he found Garrett smiling back at him, so he let it go. They worked in silence for the next hour, and Ben’s tired muscles began to protest but he didn’t slow down. The desire to see her one last time before she left them forever kept him working. He’d rest up tomorrow.

“Let’s go,” Garrett said, looking at his watch. “It’s just after ten, and the bus leaves in half an hour.

If we head out now we should get a few minutes to say good-bye.”

Ben followed him out of the barn, jogging to catch up to Garrett as he ran for the truck. Garrett floored the pickup, spraying the air with gravel as he tore out of the barnyard. He’d just turned the corner to follow the dirt track up to the stretch of asphalt that lead back to the ranch when they spotted Old Man Hoyt up ahead, leading a bunch of small children along the track on horseback.

“Shit!” Garrett slapped his hand against the steering wheel. “Why did he have to choose today of all days to take his grandbabies out for a ride?”

Ben looked to his left and right, knowing the high fences on either side of the narrow track would still be there, but hoping for a spark of inspiration. All he saw was mile after mile of white pickets keeping them trapped. He tore his hat off in frustration, and whipped it against his kneecap.

“You may as well give it up, buddy. There’s no way we can get around them.”

“Don’t count us out yet.” Garrett put the truck in reverse and turned to look out of the back window, resting his arm on the top of the seat as he pressed down on the gas.

“Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure we’re going the wrong way,” Ben said.

“Ah, that depends on how you look at it.”

They reached the yard in less time than it had taken them to drive out of it. Garrett parked the pickup and leapt out, shouting for Ben to follow him.

Ben broke into a run as he tried to catch up. “Are you gonna tell me what in the hell you’re doing?”

Garrett raced into the stable and stopped in front of Dutch’s stall. “Those fences might stop a truck, but they won’t stop a horse.”

“We’ll never make it in time.”

“Now how can you know that unless we at least try?”

Ben caught the blanket Garrett tossed at him and walked over to Blue’s stall, patting the bay roan on the neck as he slid on a bridle and led him out. “And what if we hurt one of Old Man Hoyt’s horses in the process?”

Garrett cast Ben a look that left him in no doubt the other man thought he was crazy. “I’ve never injured a horse in my life, and neither have you. Now stop bitching and saddle the hell up.”

Chapter Thirteen

“What the fuck?”

Dawn raised her head to look at the bus driver, blinking away the tears misting in her eyes, wondering what had made him curse. She saw him jerk forward in his seat and throw a glance over his shoulder to look through the side window of the bus, and then he put his foot on the brake.

She turned to see for herself what he’d been looking at. There was nothing behind them but a cloud of dust. Then she saw a flash of blue out of the corner of her eye as a cowboy, slung low over the back of a horse, sped past the windows at the side of the bus. The driver cursed again and jammed on the brakes, bringing the vehicle to a shuddering halt.

Dawn stood on tiptoe, straining to see over the heads of the other passengers who were craning their necks to see what was going on.

“Dawn?”

She heard Garrett’s voice and caught a glimpse of him striding along the verge, his face turned upward so he could see in through the window.

“Garrett!” Dawn yelled his name at the top of her lungs and scrambled into the aisle. Four pairs of eyes turned to look at her, but she didn’t have the time to explain what was going on to her friends right then.

She started to work her way down toward the door, ducking around the bodies of the other passengers blocking her path and keeping her from getting to Ben and Garrett.

Finally, she was clear and she jumped down the steps of the bus just as Ben raised his foot to climb aboard. He grabbed her by the waist and lifted her from the step, placing her on the ground only for as long as it took to adjust his grip on her and hug her tight.

Another hand closed around her forearm, and she felt a tug, then found herself being spun into Garrett’s embrace. He lifted her from the ground, his arms locked around her waist, and carried her to the back of the bus where the luggage was stored, and nobody would be able to see them. His hand went to her hair and he kissed her long and deep, sending the butterflies in her stomach into a frenzy.

“What’s going on?”

Garrett broke the embrace when they heard the bus driver shout from just out of view. Ben stepped clear of the back of the bus to speak to him.

“Give us a minute, okay? She’ll be right with you.”

Dawn heard the man grumbling to he walked away, and she turned to smile up at Ben as he approached. He pushed Garrett out of the way none-too-gently and stepped closer, pressing her up against the vehicle with his body. His hands cupped her face and he brushed his thumbs over her cheekbones as his mouth descended to meet hers. His kiss was gentle, almost reverent, but no less powerful than the one she’d had from Garrett. Ben let her go and stepped back, his jaw clenched.

“We didn’t want to let you leave without saying good-bye.”

She stared into Ben’s hazel eyes and then into Garrett’s green ones, not knowing what to say.

Dawn couldn’t find the words to tell them how much it meant to her that they’d come, so she uttered the first thing that came into her head.

“Where’s the truck?”

Garrett grinned and gestured to the horses waiting patiently on the verge. “This was the only way we could get here in time.”

Dawn laughed. “Well, if you were trying to sweep me off my feet, it worked.”

The guys didn’t return her laughter. Ben turned to Garrett and slapped him on the shoulder. “It’s up to you what you do, but I’m gonna tell her.”

Garrett stared back at him but didn’t reply.

“Tell me what?”

Ben leaned in to kiss her again and pulled her into his arms. “Dawn, honey. I know it’s crazy ’coz we only just met but—but I love you. I truly do.”
