Star didn't go for any of the bait, she held out, everyone that had been to the house had been sworn to secrecy – and because they'd all been hired, they all held out too, everyone that was involved had put in far too much effort and were way too excited about the party to spoil it by letting the media in on it, ruining the night before it had even happened.

And so the media silence held. The anticipation grew and grew. Ladies and Gentlemen of the rich and famous ordered their ball gowns and costumes of splendour from the elaborate boutiques and fashion houses dotted all over the world, Masks were ordered from Venice, no expense was spared.

Star had commissioned one of her good friends, Monsieur Jean Paul Gaultier, seeing as she had the heads up on the event and had her pick of designers before anyone else even had chance. She contacted Ms Vivienne Westwood to design Blue's outfit, Jayne chose the now late dear Alexander McQueen, Cleo went for a Chanel original and Eliza was fitted by the house of Dior. Star paid them all an absolute fortune. The colour scheme – Black and Orange. Amazing is not the word – unbelievable is the word, breathtaking even. Dresses of art, Haute Couture, clothes fit for Queen Cleopatra herself.

The shoes were a whole other ball game, Christian Louboutin, Irregular Choice, T.U.K, Red or Dead, Miu Miu, KG. Star spoke to all of these asking for exclusive shoes that they could launch later. Exclusive Shoes! Blue picked out the Irregular Choice one’s complete with Spiders and webs between the heel and the main shoe. They were amazing, her little eyes lit up when she first saw them.

Halloween Day came, bright sunshine in a beautiful blue cloudless sky, the autumnal leaves were just starting to gently fall to the ground. The girls had all been awoken around nine in the morning, invited to breakfast in the main dining room. Star must have been up hours already, if she had even been to sleep at all. She had been organising the staff and getting the house polished to perfection.

'Right then girls, the plan for today is that you four lovely ladies are going to the Spa next door to relax. I will be joining you later, however at the moment I have far too much finalising to do before I leave it all in the capable hands of my darling No.1 whom will be in charge this evening. So I will be able to actually enjoy this creation with you lovely ladies of mine!'

The evening started a little before seven, Star had gathered Blue, Cleo, Jayne and Eliza up to greet the guests. There were celebrities and up and coming new faces that were this minutes hottest young things. They all looked beautiful, everyone had gone that extra mile to look extra special, even though they had masks that covered most of their faces (although most women had opted for the masks that were held up to the face, rather than attached).

Blue's favourite celebrities had been invited, she was really in awe of Star's capability to fill a venue. They had all RSVP'd quickly and had attended, Johnny Depp and his beloved Vanessa, Kyle, Angelina and Brad, Quentin Tarrentino, there were celebrity designers, presenters, comedians, chat show hosts, radio D.J.s and the powerful unseen. The P. R.s, editors, photographers, make-up artists, everyone it seemed was welcome. It was the who's who and the people who actually made everything happen. Star really did know how to invite the real money to her events.

There was only one photographer taking pictures, any other form of camera had been banished from the party, (even cell phones) they were all locked in lovely secure lockers before they got to the house. The keys given to the guests. The photographer took pictures of the guests as they entered the mansion, and the rest of the night he took flattering shots, good shots, he made everyone look as good as they could, no horrific pap shots to ruin careers. All of the guests were to be captured in an album of the wonderful night, priced at a ridiculously inflated price. The profit from the albums would go to several charities and the guests would be able to purchase the albums a week or so after the event.

There were a few guys that caught Blue's eye on their way past the entrance, their blood smelled clean to her, free of any additional toxic chemicals, tasty potentials for her everlasting life source. The drug free blood tasted better to Blue, even alcohol made the host's blood taste a bit stale and nasty.

The girls were still in the welcoming queue shaking hands and air kissing the guests, Blue thought it was a complete load of pompous nonsense, but then Star suddenly grabbed hold of her arm, pulling Blue close to her, it surprised Blue,

'Ow!' Blue lied,

'Blue, Blue!'

'What's up?' She quietly shrieked back, with a frown.

'Look over there, that guy, the middle eastern guy, LOOK, LOOK!' Blue looked over in his direction.

'Look What?!? Who is he? Why are you so bothered?'

Star looked at her as if she has just joined planet Earth,

'You are so out of touch!' Then added, 'He is only the Crown Prince of Dubai! He's so rich he could buy me thrice over!'

'And!?!' Blue probably shouldn't have said that, she regretted it as soon as the sarcastic words exited her mouth. She gave her a look of disdain, quickly checking herself as he closed in, she whispered to Blue,

'I didn't think he would be so hot in person!'

As he shook their hands he didn't seem to look at Star at all, his eyes were burning into Blue's, Star was gushing, Blue frowned at him – he smelt funny, ancient, an impossible smell, the smell you would smell if you were to visit the mummified corpses at the British Museum, only fresher, sweeter, like the elixir of life. This prince smelt like a thousand summers to Blue. But she was unsure of him, she didn’t find him physically attractive and with that thought in her head, it was as if he were reading her mind he turned his entire attention to Star. Star hadn't noticed the swift change of focus, Blue did, Star certainly appreciated it though. The prince kissed Star's hand and told her he would see her later. Blue didn't know what to make of him, this brief moment was certainly weird to her. Blue was happy that he was one of the last guests to arrive. The girls were allowed to move off into the party and join the other guests in the main hall. Despite the Cypriot wedding like welcome queue the party had well and truly started.

Chapter Five.

Daen was angry at himself to think he could dupe Blue so easily. He was quite annoyed that she hadn't gone for the multi billionaire he'd disguised himself as. But on reflection he was also relieved that she wasn't so shallow as to be attracted to him for those reasons. He wanted her to see him in his true form.
'Fuck looking like Pierre'
H
e thought, he wasn't going to lower himself this time.

He had read both Star and Blue's minds and heard what they had said to each other, he could hear every heartbeat, everyone except the one he did want to hear, the one like him that could never again have a heartbeat.

Star was going to be a problem now, he would have to deal with her and the situation that had obviously developed, he had told her he would see her later and had given her that knowing smile, that would at least buy him a couple of days before she would contact him. He knew she would definitely be contacting him.

Recklessness overthrew him, after all he had been waiting two millennia to meet this woman face to face. This queen of the damned he had been destined to meet since the dawn of his existence. He had been waiting and waiting for her to come from the stars, to be finally able to have the queen he so desperately needed, wanted and deserved.

He had gone to the gentlemen's changing rooms, at the back of the house near the south stairs, well out of the way of the party goers. Surprisingly there was already a gentleman in the room, Daen waited, fiddled with his tie in the mirror, the other man left. He locked the door behind him, he didn’t want anyone else walking in. Any possible witnesses to Daen’s change, him morphing back into his own true image would be unimaginable. He changed back into himself.

He looked at himself in the full length mirror,
'Damn I look good.'
I
f he did think so himself. Daen had far more regal presence and majesty than the crowned prince of oil. He walked to the sink, taking a hand cloth from the marble side, the clean cloths were carefully rolled into a pyramid, and then he paused staring at the pyramid. There was always something everyday that reminded him of his beloved, she was long gone, buried in the sands of time. He dipped the cloth into an ice bucket filled with lime, orange and lemon as well as the ice water, letting the water drip off before squeezing the excess, pressing the cold refreshing fabric to his face, breathing in the citrus aroma, calming him.

He looked at himself again, steadying his butterfly stomach. Blue was so much like Isis it scared him. A phantom beating heart in his chest, a tight feeling in his throat, he unlocked the door, breathed in confidence and walked out into the party, into Blue's world.

Waiters were zipping about Blue this way 'Would you care for a glass of champagne Madame?' and that 'Caviare Madame?'

The beautiful shoes were taking their toll on Blue, apart from that the evening was a wondrous success. She had talked and laughed with Mr Depp and his lovely wife Vanessa. She had gotten a dance from Brad and talked saving the world from itself with Angelina as well as comparing ink, they both have quite a lot of tattoos.
'God Damn' s
he thought to herself
'I have to sit down'
, she remembered that there was a wonderfully delightful chaise long perched in a secluded corner beneath the south stairs, Blue was under the impression that not many people were aware the spot existed, so it was doubtful that anyone would have beaten her to that little piece of heaven.

She loved that little corner, there were double glass doors that were bright green in an art nouveau style, they led outside to a secret garden. Star had made it a secluded paradise, a safe place to go to get away from the guests if they couldn't take it any longer and needed five minutes or half an hour to re-cooperate. Star had made sure there was luxury seating, as well as an outside bed. Cushions spilling over onto the floor and a luxurious canopy overhead, of course there were fairy lights and heaters to keep them warm and lanterns with candles to give the illusion of warmth. From where Blue sat on the chaise long it looked beautiful, an idealistic idea of paradise, like a perfect cake, almost edible...

'It is beautiful.'

A voice so familiar to Blue, so masculine, so deep it purred, golden, smooth and seductive. Blue turned to the owner of such a perfect voice. Her loins immediately ached, she was suddenly aware of her breasts, hot flushes began at the sight of this perfect man with the face of an angel. An angel with a rugged and dangerous edge. Blue was aware of the strange effect this perfect stranger was having on her. She thought about the prince earlier, this perfect stranger smelt like him, she presumed they must have been close to one another or that the prince was close by. This stranger smelt better than that though, ancient, musky, sexy, it seemed impossible, but this stranger stirred her soul and made her ache for him.

'I know a perfect way to stop your feet hurting.'

Blue had forgotten her feet even existed for a minute there, she was intrigued,

'Be my guest.' She theatrically invited him with her arms to touch her.

Thinking about guests, she certainly hadn't seen this magnificent creature pass her by,
'So has he crashed our party?'
she thought to herself,
'Or has he just come in entirely late and slipped in unnoticed?'

All six feet six of him dropped to his knees before her, he looked up into her eyes, staring with his yellowy amber iris's, they swallowed her in, she was suddenly and completely at ease.

He soothingly removed her shoes one by one, he put them gently to one side, then lifted both of her feet and placed them on his thighs where he knelt. One by one he touched, caressed and massaged her feet, all whilst looking into her eyes and all the while talking to her with that smooth seductive voice.
'Oh my god it feels so good'
she thought to herself, she thought it was the most
sensual experience she had ever had without taking her underwear off. Her breathing deepened, she was in sheer ecstasy. He asked Blue about the night she was having and commented on how lovely everything looked. He told her what a great success it had been and to be able to make hundreds of the rich and famous feel so at ease and let them enjoy themselves without fear of surprise photos appearing in the papers the following weeks was surely the greatest gift to those with everything.

He asked her to wait a few moments, then he walked off towards the gentleman’s wash room, he told her he was going to fetch something and he returned with iced citrus hand cloths. Again he knelt at Blue's feet, this time washing or rather wiping her feet with the refreshingly cool fragrant cloths. He put her shoes to one side and stood up, motioning for her to hold his hands, but instead of just pulling her up like she expected, he swept her up into his arms. So close up he smelt divine to Blue, she closed her eyes and breathed him in.
