Insistently she placed her hands on his shoulders and urged him onto his back. With sweet deliberation, she knelt to cover his chest with hot kisses. His fingers tangled in her hair as he whispered in the darkness, “Elizabeth, I love you. I love you. My heart is yours, now and for always.”

 

At long last, she knew it was true.
