Wanted By The Cowboy Tiger (Heroes of Shifter Creek 3) (9 page)

“The insurance adjuster?” Danny asked. “I don’t know about that, but if you come over here, I’ll do any adjusting you need done.”

Janelle bounced onto the bed.  “That sounds like a great idea, but don’t we have to go down and give our statements? I don’t want the police busting in on us this morning.”

Danny smiled. “I think Jorge will make sure that doesn’t happen.”

“You think he knows?” Janelle asked, shocked. She cocked her head. “Really?”

“I think he guessed. Or hoped, for my sake,” Danny said with a grin. “Because you are a truly beautiful woman.”

Janelle kissed him. “What did I tell you about flattery?”

“And look! It worked!” Danny said. He started kissing the side of Janelle’s neck. “I’m sure we have enough time for this.”

“All right,” Janelle said, “but this time, I get to be on top.”

Danny grinned from ear to ear. “Yes, Ma’am.”

Janelle swung her caramel colored thigh over Danny and settled herself atop his shaft. “Now this is nice,” she said. Her hands were very dark against his white shoulders, Danny couldn’t stop himself from reaching for her large, pendulous breasts.

They moved together easily. After a few strokes, Janelle shifted position, sitting more upright with her arms up over her head. She rocked her hips forward and back quickly; the motion set her breasts bouncing against her belly, up and down, faster and faster.

“Oh, god almighty,” Danny said. He grabbed Janelle’s hips and thrust himself upward as hard as he could, trying to push every last inch of himself into her wetness. “I can’t…”

“It’s good, baby, it’s good,” Janelle said. She pulled Danny up into a seated position, crushing his head against her breasts. “We’re all right.”

They rocked back and forth together for quite a while, before parting with a kiss.

“That,” Danny said, after a moment had passed, “that is how every morning should start.”

“Well, we’ll see about that,” Janelle said.

Danny raised an eyebrow.

“Sometimes I like to sleep in!” Janelle protested. “There’s nothing wrong with starting the afternoon that way, either.”

“Fair point.” Danny said. He scooted out of bed, and said, “Care to join me in the shower?”

“You know what is going to happen if I join you in that shower,” Janelle said. “And we really don’t have time for that. There is a bunch of business I need to take care of today. And I want to get out to that cave site as soon as possible.”

“Showering together means we’d be on the road that much faster,” Danny pointed out.

“No!” Janelle said with a grin. “It’s not the shower that will take the time. It’s everything we’re going to do instead of shower.”

“I promise I’ll be a perfect gentleman,”  Danny lied.

“I can’t promise you I’ll be any kind of lady if we’re getting all up in the shower together,” Janelle said. “So let’s not even go there.”

Danny laughed. “All right. I’ll take a rain check on the shower.”  He went three steps toward the bathroom and then paused. “You’re sure?”

“Oh, all right,” Janelle said, with a playful sigh. “Since we’re going to save so much time this way.”

Danny took Janelle in his arms and pressed his lips against hers. “We’re going to save tons of time. Minutes. Hours.”

Janelle kissed Danny back, a long, lingering connection of lips and tongue and breath that brought their heartbeats into time. “Hours,” she agreed. “Days. Weeks.”

They moved together, not toward the shower but instead back to bed. The pillows and blankets fluffed off as they tumbled down onto the sheets, kissing the whole while.  “We’re never going to make it anywhere on time,” Janelle murmured.

“I don’t care,” Danny said. He moved gently against her, sliding back into her warmth with ease. “I can’t stop wanting you.” He bent his head for a quick kiss, tracing his fingertips over Janelle’s cheek. Then he smiled. “You are the silver lining,” he said. “It’s all you.”

“It’s you,” Janelle countered back. They were moving faster now, building their pleasure with every motion. “You’re the silver lining.” All of a sudden, her body stiffened, and she pulled Danny close. Her body shook with the force of her orgasm. She closed her eyes and bit her bottom lip. “It’s you, it’s you, it’s you.”

“There you go. There you go,” Danny said with a smile. He held Janelle until she stopped shaking, and then kissed her forehead. “I don’t know about you,” he said, “but I’m definitely ready for that shower now.”

Janelle laughed. “Lead the way.” She stood up and rubbed her palms against her thighs. “After that, I’ll probably be able to control myself long enough for us to get clean.” Danny walked in front of her to the bathroom, giving Janelle a great opportunity to ogle his ass. “Maybe.  I’ll do my best. No promises.”

“I wouldn’t want you to make any promises like that,” Danny said, looking back over his shoulder with a grin.  “So we should be all right.”
