Warrior (Twisted Sister #2) (15 page)

Chapter Eleven

The sirens hurt my ears. I watch Jordi fold onto the table in pain and hate it. All these large men moving fast to cover me scared the living daylights out of me. And what the fuck was I thinking jumping into Philli’s arms the way I did? I am not that kind of girl. The one who has sex once and suddenly becomes clingy.

“Can someone please tell me, what the fuck is going on?” I scream over the blaring noise.

“Madison, do you curse a lot?” Philli asks with a lopsided grin.

“All the time, so you better get used to it.”

“All right fuckers. Which one of you knocked up my baby sister?” Jay screams striding into the room carrying Alison limp in his arms.

“Your, what?” One of the men calls out running in with a stunning woman with long blonde hair.

Her hair is twisted into a complex braid that wraps around her head and down her neck. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. This must be the Sophie they were talking about.

“What did you do to her, you fucking jerk?” I scream, running to Alison. “Lay her on the table and step away right now,” I screech glaring at Jay.

Jay looks around the room with murder in his eyes. He looks every male up and down. The men look between one another, no one moves, no one speaks. Jay slowly and with great care, lays Alison down on the table. I’ve only just found out she was my little sister, I can’t lose her now. My hands shake as I check for a pulse.

“You’re lucky,” I glare at Jay.

“Please, let me help,” a soft feminine voice calls from my left, startling me. “My name is Sophie and I’m a healer. Let me help your sister, please.”

Hearing Alison referred to as my sister has a mix of emotions flowing through my body. I’m not even sure if it’s true or not.

“Of course, it’s true,” Sophie tells me, as if able to read my mind.

“Sophie, get out of her head,” Philli growls, confirming my suspicions.

Philli comes up behind me, wrapping his hands around my waist. He leans down and kisses the side of my neck, pulling my back to his front.

“I meant no disrespect, my Prince. I… um…” she stumbles. Her eyes transfixed on his arms that are securely wrapped around my waist.

“Don’t fool yourself, Sophie, you wanted to read her and make sure she was indeed my mate. And if I’m not mistaken, how it happened. Don’t read her again. Do you hear me?” Philli growls. “Madison is my mate and let me make this extremely clear, Sophie. As my mate, Madison will govern alongside me. Her word will be carried out, and be law. Trust me when I say, I will punish anyone who does not follow her orders.”

A grin spreads out over my face, as I stare at the girl in front of me and wink. Sophie clenches her fists at her sides and scowls at me with contempt. She’s annoying me, doubting my role already, and I don’t like it. I’d never allow anyone from the hospital to do that to me. What makes her thinks she can try to challenge me here?

I feel bold and proud being on Philli’s arm. It feels like I’ve known him my whole life. Hearing his words just now gives me strength. My grin widens, as the perfect idea takes root in my mind. I pucker my lips and blow her a kiss. Jordi snorts seeing my power play and winks.

“Yes, my Prince, sorry my Prince,” Sophie stammers. She bows low, walks over and places her hands gently on Alison’s chest. “She will be fine, my Prince,” she says, looking over her shoulder and smiling directly at me.

Oh, bitch wants to play that hand does she?

“She’s a weak species and couldn’t handle the travel. In simple terms, she’s out cold.”

“Oh, come on Philli, let me bite her head off. She shows disrespect to our Maddie. And what was with the
‘my’
bit? We don’t belong to her.” The deep rumble of a voice vibrates through my mind, causing goosebumps to rise on my skin.

I softly moan as the voice purrs. I feel the vibration right through my body and swear I feel a soft touch along my skin like someone is running a finger lightly down my body.

“I’ll let you do it, besides you don’t know how glad I am to hear you say that,” I moan, trying to keep still under the phantom touch that caresses my skin.

“Would you and Dragon like a room, ma petite?” Philli laughs, his hot breath blows along my ear.

“I can hear your Dragon?” I ask perplexed, as I begin to realize there is two different forms inside of Philli. I heard both Jay and Jordi tell me that he was a Dragon, but I thought he was just in one form.

“I’m glad you can hear me, my beautiful Maddie. I will teach you to speak to me, the way I am able to speak to you,” Dragon purrs.

Philli drops his arms from my waist and walks around to face me. He gently reaches out and takes hold of my chin raising my gaze to his. “Ma petite, yes you can hear Dragon. We are two different beings.”

With that, a huge smile breaks out over my face. I’m not sure why I’m so happy about it, but it feels like it’s a really big deal to be able to hear Philli’s Dragon.

Philli rubs his thumb along the edge of my jaw, his eyes growing darker. He leans forward pressing his lips to mine softly. He rubs his lips over mine tenderly, then he pulls back sighing. “As much as it makes me very happy you can hear him, I have a feeling you won’t find it so good when he doesn’t shut up.” He chuckles.

“Wait… wait a goddamn minute. She…” Sophie places her left hand on her hip, pointing her right hand out at me sneering, “…that… God, I don’t even know what to call it. But… she can hear your Dragon?” Sophie asks, rolling her eyes and looking unimpressed.

When no one answers her, she stares at me with a smirk on her face. Walking over, she places her hand on the back of Philli’s shoulder and slowly runs her tongue over her bottom lip. I stop breathing, fire and rage builds in my mind. The air stills around us, the room becomes deathly silent as everyone waits to see what’s going to happen next?

I can’t believe she would have to nerve to put her hands on my man…
my man
.

I start to see red, all I can’t think of is that I don’t like anyone touching him. My complete focus is on that one tiny spot she’s touching on Philli. I want nothing more than to rip her throat out. To teach her a lesson for putting her hands on what is
mine.

A red haze works its way slowly into my vision, my hands start to burn and I hiss in pain. Gritting my teeth together so hard that my jaw starts to hurt, I can feel something moving within my mind. A twinge of memory, like a book being opened. The feeling gets stronger, the touch increases with every passing second. At first, I think it’s Dragon pushing into my mind, but the touch is feminine and soft. When Dragon is in my mind it isn’t a gentle touch, it’s overpowering and dominating.

“Maddie,” Alison whispers, grabbing her head and gingerly sitting up. “Maddie, I think I’m going to be sick.”

“You will keep. But trust me when I say, if you do not remove your hand from Philli this minute, I will kill you,” I growl at Sophie.

Walking past her, I make my way to Alison and glance over my shoulder, just to make sure she listened to my warning. Sophie has stepped back, her head lowered in deference. Philli has his fists clenched tightly at his side and is talking heatedly to her. From the sick look on her face, he isn’t telling her a fairy tale.

Alison’s wiggles to sit up on the table, the bottom of her shirt catches on the edge, rising up slightly and exposing her small bump.

“What the fuck?” comes a voice from behind me.

“I knew it was her,” whispers another.

I snap. “For fuck’s sake, what is it with you men and a pregnant woman? She’s having a baby. Surely, I don’t need to explain to you all how
that
happens.”

“Call on me, if you need me my sweet,” Dragon growls.

“It’s not that, ma petite,” Philli says.

Jordi runs over to Alison side and takes hold of her hand. “Do you need some air, little one? You’re pretty green, right now.”

“I don’t feel so good, Jordi.” She groans, leaning into his open arms.

Someone growls from the other side of the room, the growl is low and threatening. It takes me off guard, scaring me. I never knew men growled like beasts before.

“Fuck off, it can’t be you. I would have preferred that fucker over there…” Jay says throwing his hand out and pointing to a blond guy who’s deliriously laughing in the corner, “…over you.” He growls throwing his hands up in the air and runs toward the large male who’s standing at the end of the table, staring at Alison.

Jordi blocks Jay midstride and yells, “Now would be a perfect time, Philli.”

“I suggest everyone take a seat at the table. Don’t make me control the action. Now is not the time for such matters,” Philli says, staring at every male in the room.

“Like fuck, it isn’t the time, Philli. This fucker here knocked up my baby sister. And don’t think for one minute that I haven’t forgotten the fact you mated my other one. I love you, Brother, but you do see how weird this is, yeah?” Jay growls.

He walks over, reaching out his hand to Alison, helps her off the table, and into the seat at his side. He sits down and pulls Alison’s seat close to his own. Keeping her as far away as he can, from the other men at the table.

I walk over to the seat on the other side of Jay, pulling it out. Philli stops me, grabbing my arm steering me to the other end of the large table.

“What?” I ask.

“I can’t have you sitting near any other male, ma petite,” Philli whispers as he pulls on my arm.

“And I need to sit with, Alison,” I grumble.

Philli grunts, taking hold of my hand, he walks back over to the seat I was originally going to sit in. Philli notices Jay smirk and barks, “Shut up.”

“Dude, I’m thinking that I won’t have to protect this sister, she’s feisty.” Jay chuckles causing the table of men to erupt into laughter.

“Shut up, come on… order,” Philli bangs on the table, causing the room to fall into complete silence. “McKinley, you want to lead us in the meeting here?”

The man that I have learned to be McKinley runs a hand through his reddish brown curls. He takes a step forward. Jay jumps up from his seat and roars, “Stay where you are fucker, haven’t you done enough?”

“I…I…” McKinley sighs, “…forget it.”

His eyes run over Alison carefully. She sits at the table staring at her hands. I’ve been so caught up with what’s been going on, that I never took too much notice of the men in the room with us. My breath hitches when I finally get a good look at McKinley.

“Holy shit, no way,” I mumble under my breath, leaning behind Jay I whisper to Alison, “Ally is that—” Seeing the distress on her face, I stop mid sentence and start thinking the one sentence over and over in my mind, hoping to get Dragon’s attention. “Dragon, tell them to let us out.” I was just about to give up when Dragon finally answers me.

“I can’t let you out of my sight, little one.”

“Please, Dragon. Ally cannot take much more of this stress. It isn’t fair on her. Please, Dragon,” I beg.

I hope I can get him on my side.

“I would love to allow you to do this because it means so much to you. But, you see, that male at the head of this large table?”

I glance up through my eyelashes at the man in question. He looks at Alison with so much passion and longing. “Yes, I see him, Dragon.”

“Well, my beautiful girl, Alison belongs to him as much as you belong to me. And do you see that man at the other end of the table? The one with the blond hair.”

I turn my head to the other end of the table and see the other man Dragon is talking about. I get confused when I notice two blond men at the table.

“Which one, Dragon, there are two?”

“The one who looks like he’s been sucking on lemons.” He chuckles.

I start laughing aloud at Dragon’s description about the man. “Oh him, so what about him?” I ask.

“Well, Alison belongs to him as well.”

“What the fuck?” I snap aloud, startling everyone at the table. I shake my head and apologize. “Sorry.”

Philli shakes his head and tells the men at the table, “She’s talking with Dragon. Please go on, McKinley.”

Philli runs his hand up and down my arm in a soothing motion. God, I never knew such a simple touch could make me react this way. My skin tingles, my pulse quickens, and I have to clench my thighs together. I bite the inside of my mouth, stopping a moan from rising. When the feeling doubles and runs from the inside of my thigh up the side of my ribs, I glance up at Philli and notice his hands haven’t moved. One is around my shoulder and the other is resting on the table in front of him.
