“Yes, Daddy,” she teased him in the breathy tone he liked. “My pussy does want you, all of you. And I want your cock. You remember how much I love it, don’t you?” She cast a sultry glance over her shoulder, and leaned down to lick the head of his shaft. Ridge hissed between his teeth, but he didn’t allow her to get away with that move without matching it. He buried his head between her legs and swiped her dripping sex with his tongue. She caught her breath and shut her eyes. He went after her again. Ridge always was competitive in everything he did. He never liked to lose, and he would drive his point home until the other person surrendered in defeat.

Kiona liked to put up a good fight at first and give up to her man later. She didn’t mind submitting to him as long as she knew she had pleased him and he’d done the same for her. Ridge’s thick head slid between her lips, and she sucked him hard. She pushed him as far as he would go, and that wasn’t far enough, but she knew how to work him. She played with his balls, squeezing just enough while she licked his shaft. Precome spread onto her tongue, and she licked for more, tightening her hold all the while. With a pop, she let him go and explored farther down. She stuck her tongue out, savoring the flavor of the man she adored. She pinched the skin between her lips and tugged. Ridge keened and pushed his hips up. Good thing she didn’t have him in her mouth when he did that, but she knew him—better than any man.

Ridge allowed her time to taste him, but then he wrestled her attention away from his rod to focus on what he did with her nether lips. He took one into his mouth and shook his head side to side. The pinch and the pull sent an arrow of delight pinging through her core. He moved to the other lip and did the same thing. She paused in her ministrations, panting.

“That’s not fair, Ridge,” she moaned, not wanting him to stop. “You know how I like that.”

“Oh yes, you’re a bundle of sensitive nerves right here, aren’t you, baby? I forgot.”

“Liar.”

He punished her for calling him a liar by spreading her folds and delving his tongue into her center. He laved while moaning, so she felt the vibrations. Her pussy clenched and dripped even more. She couldn’t help herself. She rode his mouth, pumping into his tongue, but rather than satisfy her, it made her crave his dick. In two hands, she held his shaft and began pumping her head up and down, picking up speed as she went.

“Wait, baby,” he pleaded in a hoarse whisper. “I’m going to come. Oh hell. You naughty thing!” Ridge pulled her from his shaft and dumped her onto the bed. He slung an arm over his face, chest rising and falling with each breath he released. Kiona raised her eyebrows. Not once had she gotten the best of him, but here he was making her stop first.

“Ridge?” She dropped fingertips on his thigh, but he caught her hand up as if she burned him. She didn’t get it. “What’s wrong? You don’t want it?”

“Woman,” he growled and allowed his eyes to open to slits to peer at her. “I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never been this close to coming so early. You know me better than that.”

Relief flooded her, and she laughed. “It’s fine. I thought for a minute you were no longer attracted to me.” She fished for compliments, fighting hard to keep the grin off her face.
Who’s your daddy?

Ridge sat up, glaring at her. “You’re smirking.”

“Who me? I would never do such a thing.” She schooled her face the best she could, but from his expression, Ridge didn’t buy it.

“Now you’ve done it, Mrs. Kiona Foster.”

Kiona ignored the thrill that raced through her at his words. “We’re not married anymore.”

“You will always be my wife,” he affirmed. “Now come here.”

“No.”

She kept him guessing at whether she was angry, and just when he reached out to take her hand, she leaped from the bed. She’d made it to the door when Ridge came up behind and wrapped a hand around her waist. He hauled her off her feet and strode to a chair rather than the bed. “I see I’m going to have to teach you who you belong to.”

Kiona squirmed. She knew she could fight as hard as she could, and Ridge wouldn’t break a sweat. In fact he slung her over his lap and held her down with one hand. His strength sent her lust up a few notches. “Let me go, Ridge,” she demanded, trying to infuse seriousness into her tone.

He spread her legs. She squealed and tried to close them. The fact that she dripped with come gave away the act.
Traitorous body.

She licked her lips and thought of cutting a deal. “If you let me up, I won’t run again. Promise.”

He threaded a finger into her pussy. She whimpered. He put in another and began working the two together, in and out. “Who do you belong to, KeyKey?”

She shut her eyes and let her head fall. Ridge began pumping harder and faster. She whimpered, sticking her ass in the air. Ridge pulled out, smacked her ass, and drove his fingers in again. This time he added a third, and she rode him as hard as she could. Her clit pulsated with a need to come. She clawed at the chair and rocked her hips. “Yes, yes,” she shouted.

Right on the very cusp of her orgasm, Ridge stopped, and she nearly cursed him. She tried twisting her hips to keep the friction going somehow, but he held her in a steel grip.

A sob escaped her. “Damn you, Ridge.”

“Who, my love?” He said it next to her ear in a rumbling, pussy wetting tone. She had no choice. He was the master of their games, and she hadn’t beaten him yet. Not when he cheated by using brute force and fingering her the way he did.

“You,” she said in defeat. “I belong to you, Ridge, always you.”

“That’s my good girl.” He sat her up and turned her to face him. “Hold onto my shoulders.”

She did, and he raised her up and brought her down on his erection. Kiona’s jaw grew slack as her husband’s thick length slid into her, stretching her walls until she wanted to cry mercy. She collapsed against his chest, and he began to rock them together as one. With her head on his shoulder, and her eyes closed, she floated on the pleasure Ridge gave her, and when the movements of their bodies joined and apart became too much for her, she reached her climax and came tumbling down with Ridge right beside her.

Chapter Five

“This one, Daddy,” Alex chirped, and Kiona looked to see which tree her son had selected. Ridge crossed to Alex and placed his hands on Alex’s shoulders. They were so cute together, she wondered how the two of them stood being apart when she and Alex were in Baltimore. Of course, her baby had cried initially for his daddy, and Kiona did the best she could to comfort him, but she hadn’t told Ridge. Watching him with their son, she realized it would have broken Ridge to know.

“What do you think, Mommie?” Ridge called to her. “Big enough?”

Kiona wrinkled her nose at the giant tree. “Uh, yeah. I’m wondering how you two think you’re getting that in the car let alone the house.”

Ridge winked. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I’ll make arrangements.”

She hadn’t seen him smile so much or laugh as he did now that she was here. She could admit to herself that he missed them. Guilt wouldn’t change the past. They’d both made mistakes, and had to go from here. Kiona approached her family, and Ridge held out his hand to hold hers. She took it and nuzzled close to his side, loving him so much.

After Ridge secured someone to deliver the tree—because that’s how he did things—they headed over to Pike Place Market. Kiona exclaimed over the handmade products, especially the hand-blown glass items. She purchased a small glass pumpkin for her studio, and Ridge bought several more to add to her collection. She shook her head and laughed. “You didn’t have to buy me those. The little one I got was forty bucks by itself.”

Ridge raised his eyebrow. She chuckled again.

“Well thank you.”

He tapped his lips, and she stretched up to kiss him. Ridge took the opportunity to crush her to him and take the kiss deeper, but she managed to fight him off. “Sheesh, man, didn’t you get enough last night?”

“Not nearly. More tonight.”

Kiona rolled her eyes at him and took Alex’s hand, but inside she thrilled at being desirable to a man like him. She’d heard him make an appointment with the lawyer for that afternoon, and he’d told her she and Alex were going with him. He would wrap up things quickly, and the rest of their time would be spent together.

They came to the end of the outdoor stalls, and Kiona glanced up to the apartments across the street. She wondered if any were available. The view to the market and the water beyond, with glimpses of the ferries coming and going would make for inspiring scenery while she worked.

“Ridge, do you think any of those are available and affordable?” she asked.

Her husband turned to look, and he frowned. “Why?”

She grinned. “Don’t be so grumpy. I could use it for a studio slash playroom for Alex and me, and um, maybe you don’t have to sell the house. We could live here in Seattle.”

His fingers spasmed on her hand, and then he released the tight hold right away. “Are you serious, Kiona? Don’t tease me, honey.”

“I’m not.” She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest. Alex stood close to them, unwrapping a piece of chocolate Ridge had bought for him. Kiona drew him to her side and squeezed them both in a tight hug. “I think we can be great again, and I want to give us a chance, a
real
chance.”

“In that case, I will buy you the entire building, and you can paint in whichever apartment you feel like each day.”

She burst out laughing. “Idiot, calm down. Just one…and thanks. I…I love you, Ridge.”

He crushed her in his embrace until even Alex protested that he couldn’t breathe. Her husband held on a little longer, and then released the two of them. He caressed Kiona’s cheek and kissed her lips, this time restraining the lust, and they continued their shopping.

After Ridge bought every bobble Alex begged for, and their arms were loaded down with bags, they returned to the car. Somehow he managed to pack it all in the trunk of his car. When he slid behind the steering wheel, Kiona commented, “Be looking out for the horde of thank you cards from Hawaii or some other vacation spot.”

Ridge frowned in confusion. “What do you mean?”

“You bought Alex so much stuff he didn’t need, you probably funded the store owner’s next trip.”

“Bah, I want him to have a great Christmas, and you too.” He ran a thumb across her lips. “I have my family back, and I’ll be damned if I fuck up and lose you again.”

“Ridge, watch your mouth.”

“Sorry.” He didn’t appear sorry in the least, but his attitude only served to strengthen her conviction that she did the right thing letting him back into her life. They belonged together, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Christmas Day

Kiona sat on the living room floor with Ridge at her side and Alex scouring the area beneath the tree for more presents. She couldn’t believe how fast they’d gotten the house furnished, but she was pleased with the results. The place looked amazing with contemporary pieces for the kitchen, living room, and dining room, accent tables, a media center, and even bookcases, soon to be filled with Kiona’s extensive book collection back home. The walls remained bare at the moment because she had more than enough canvases to cover the larger spots, and where she needed smaller paintings, well, that was all the more reason to get her studio up and running.

“Hey, you with us?” Ridge tugged lightly on a lock of her hair.

“I’m with you.” She met his gaze, and they stared at each other for a long time. The flutters that invaded her belly made it feel as if they had just fallen in love, with all its accompanying nervous excitement.

Alex grabbed a few trucks in his short little arms and stacked them in the space between the couch and the loveseat. He came back to the tree for more, and steadily grew his stockpile.

“Now that he’s unwrapped everything, he’s decided it’s time to take inventory,” Ridge commented.

Kiona shook her head. “I guess so. The boy’s a nut.”

Ridge nabbed one last package from beneath the tree and sat back. He patted the space between his legs. “Come sit here, baby.”

Kiona settled where he wanted her and leaned on his chest. Ridge brought his arms around her and held up the tiny package, wrapped in red shimmery paper and gold ribbon. “This is for you.”

She glanced back at him. “I thought I’d opened everything.”

“This one I hid until we laid all the rest out. I wanted to surprise you.”

Moisture gathered in her eyes. “Ridge, you didn’t have to get me anything else. After you actually followed through with selling your business, even though I tried to stop you—you bought me so many gifts, I can’t use them all. Well, except for the paints and brushes. You know I’ll rip into those quick. But, baby, that’s enough.”

“It’s never enough.” He lifted her hand and placed the small box in her palm. “Take it, and open it.”

Trembling for some reason, she did as he asked and gasped when she saw the diamond ring. Emotions choked her, and the tears flowed down her cheeks. Last year, she’d yanked the rings he gave her off her fingers and threw them at his head. Ridge hadn’t moved a muscle. He didn’t flinch or duck, and as far as she knew he’d left the rings on the ground because he never mentioned them again. She had turned on her heel and walked away from him.

“This is my engagement ring,” she whispered when she could get words out. “You kept it.”

“Of course. I have the other one too.” He raised her chin and captured her in the heat of his gaze. “Kiona Foster, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

A sob escaped her, and she covered her mouth. She nodded over and over, and when she got a grip, answered, “Yes, I will—without a doubt in my mind—yes, Ridge Foster, I will marry you.”

Ridge took the ring from her and slipped it onto her finger. A perfect fit, she stared at it and touched the huge diamond. Ridge always was one for going all out. He turned her head from the ring and raised her chin toward him then slanted his mouth over hers and pushed his tongue between her lips. Kiona arched into him. She twisted to face him and ran her hands over his chest. When her fingertips skimmed his nipples, she paused to tease them, pinching and circling the flat buds until he moaned.
