Wicked Steps (26 page)

“It’s not that simple. Loving you was never the issue. It was trust. And I have forgiven you, for everything, but our relationship and your father’s name will follow us everywhere. None of that has changed. You can’t escape who you are.”

“Look at the painting, Elle. Look at the signature.”

I walked over and kneeled to see the name.
J. Martel.
“Who is hell is J. Martel?” I questioned in a hushed voice, turning back to him.

“Well, you could say it’s my pseudonym. I’m using my middle name and my mother’s maiden name. Preston pulled some strings, and Julian Martel is now my legal name. So no more excuses. You told me you wanted me to find happiness and contentment. It’s been almost two years, and I can do neither without you. You are both, and if you still love me, let’s paint our own happily ever after.”

I was too stunned to speak. He gave up everything. His life as Wicked, as well as his father’s name. I suddenly felt trapped inside myself, not knowing which way to go.

The moment his lips touched mine, I knew surrender and I no longer had doubts. Our fate was sealed the first night we met. He kissed me as though I were glass. Carefully and delicately, our lips melded as though we hadn’t been apart. His tongue felt like velvet as it probed the inside of my mouth. His fingers laced through mine as he held me tighter. We emerged from our embrace with a shuddered gasp.

His eyes looked at me in desperation. “The old me would just whip up your dress and have his way with you.”

Every part of my body was on fire. My panties became wet, something I hadn’t experienced in a long time. “I kind of liked the old you,” I murmured, my voice raspy with need. “My office is private.”

He raised an eyebrow and smiled. “If this is the new Elle, I like her very much.”

As I pulled him by his tie, I prayed we wouldn’t run into anyone on the way to our destination. I couldn’t wait. I hadn’t been with anyone since him, and every inch of me was screaming to be taken. He kicked the door closed as we went inside. It wasn’t that big, only a desk and a few chairs.

“This will do just fine,” he announced, as he cleared off the desk with both hands. “Take off that dress, Elle, before I tear it in two.”

I slipped my dress down and let it pool at my feet. I stood there in a black bra with panties and my shoes. He growled with approval as he began removing his clothes. My eyes reveled as every article came off and landed on the floor. It was like a
Magic Mike
moment, only up close and personal. As he removed his shirt, I noticed brightly colored ink. I had always loved his fully tattooed arms, but this was on his chest above his heart and close to his still pierced nipples.
Mon amour ma vie
. My hand grazed his chest as I traced the calligraphy lettering of the words.

“It means
my love, my life
. You are, you know. Both.”

Tears welled in my eyes as I watched him discard his pants. His thick cock sprang free and tipped upward. He hadn’t put the piercings back in. He reached for my bra and unsnapped it, then dropped to one knee and removed my panties.

“God, I’d forgotten how luscious you smell and how wet I make you,” he murmured as he used one finger to divide my folds. My arousal glistened on his fingertip as he popped it into his mouth. I watched as his eyes rolled back into his head. He stood, leaving us both naked except for my heels.

“My brain is turbo charged right now, and I would love nothing better than to go through the entire alphabet of carnal acts. But what I need right now is to fuck you, fill you to the brim, and mark you as mine”

He picked me up and sat me on the desk, pulling me close to the edge. He hoisted my legs across each shoulder, allowing his dick to be almost level with my pussy.

“Jesus Christ, you look hot… with darker hair and those fuck-me heels digging into my back. We better get this party started or there’s a good chance I’m only going to last for two minutes. It’s been too long, and I’ve missed being inside you.”

He positioned me with his hands under my ass as he slipped into me. It felt tight as he began to thrust.

I held on to muscled shoulders as his thrusts turned to faster strokes.

“I love you.” I heard him groan as his hands pulled me closer. The sensation was too much as he ground into me. I could see his arms start to quiver as I felt him swell. My muscles clamped down on his cock with fury as my back bowed and body began to spasm.

“I need to come. Holy hell—” I cried out as I unleased months of pent-up orgasm.

Kieran followed by shouting my name along with aspirations of love.

Once he set my legs back down on the floor, I could feel his release seeping down my thighs.

He smiled apologetically. “Sorry about the mess.”

I sat up and rubbed my neck. “We didn’t use a condom.”

“I know this is one for the history books, but I haven’t been with anyone since you. So if you’re worried—”

I waved my hand as I shook my head. “I know you wouldn’t jeopardize my health after everything, but I had my IUD removed last year. I didn’t see the point if I wasn’t having sex.”

His grin both devastated me and caused some suspicion. “Well, I don’t see a problem here. Are you worried you could get pregnant?”

“Of course, it’s our responsibility to keep accidents from happening.”

He laughed. I frowned. “What if this was my dastardly plot all along, to knock you up?”

“Didn’t you say you’ve changed?” I quipped as I picked up my wrinkled dress.

His perfect ass bent over as he grabbed his pants. “I have. That’s why I want to marry you,” he said while shrugging on his clothes.

My heart pounded from his proposal. Would this work? The age difference didn’t matter—not anymore. It had always been about the other drama. I wanted so much to be happy and loved. It would always be him. He would always be the one I loved. We both looked different and had new names. This could succeed.
Am I sure it’s him I want?

I was thinking out loud as my words penetrated the room. “Is he my forever?”

He took my hands in his and kissed them. “Yes, I am your forever as much as you are mine. So marry me and we can be a family… I want kids, lots of them. I’ve had so many dreams of you round and plump with my child. I want to know what it’s like to be an actual father.”

I giggled. “Um, you do realize I’m thirty-seven, right?”

“Then we need to get busy. That first fuck was practice. In order to get it perfected, I’m thinking three or four times a day. That should get you barefoot and pregnant quickly.”

“Why did you show up, Kieran? Why now?”

He had a solemn look as he put on his jacket. “I had to do some soul searching. I knew me loving you would never be enough. I needed to be a better man. I wanted to give you so much more. And Bo reached out to me through Preston because he knew I was the one thing missing from your life. I thought, if nothing else, I wanted you to have the painting. I worked on it painstakingly for a long time.”

“I would have thought you’d keep it as a remembrance of our time together.”

He snickered. “I kept the nudes for myself. You didn’t think I’d only sketch your face? You had too many attributes for me to ignore. I believe I have seven from every angle.”

I smacked his arm. “You do not.” Even as the words left my mouth, I had no doubt he was telling the truth. The man was still a pervert. “Surely, you wouldn’t display naked paintings of your wife.”

His eyes widened in surprise as he gripped me around the waist. I could feel his lips on my ear. “Is that a yes?”

“Was that an actual proposal?”

“You know it was. When? Where?”

“Calm down. Can we at least wait until tomorrow to discuss the details?” I asked, suppressing a yawn.

“I’m good with that. Want to come to my suite and see my etchings?”

I rolled my eyes, then gave him a smoldering look. “Really, is that how you get women to fall in your bed?”

“Only the ones I ask to be my wife.”

About the Author

I began writing music and poetry at an early age. My love of music became my sole focus and I spent quite a few years as the lead singer for local rock bands. In high school, I was fascinated with the macabre and started writing science fiction and horror stories so dark they earned me the nickname "Gory Cory."

After years of writing scary fiction, I never thought in a million years I would end up penning sensual tales of younger men/older women. I write strictly adult material.
