He'd preferred it dim in his own bedroom because it had been morning when he'd found out that Mason was dead. Sunlight had poured through the windows in his parents' house as Malec had awakened to his mother's screams, and when he'd stood there staring at his brother's hanging body in the bathroom the fluorescent light combined with the sun had made it so blindingly bright he hadn't been able to avoid seeing the body, or that his brother was gone forever.

He closed his eyes to that thought right now, noticing the pain that normally cut through him like a knife had subsided substantially, as with each breath he inhaled the scent of her hair, and it filled his senses. The feel of her softness beneath him, the warm brush of her breaths across his bare chest, all covered him in a blanket of satisfaction. A feeling he'd never thought was possible to achieve.

There was a soft moan and the feel of her shifting slightly beside his gaze dropping down to her face. There was a small smile, even as her eyes remained closed. Channing was kissing the back of her shoulder, his eyes closed as his tongue slid over mocha-hued skin. The sight was erotic and intimate and had Malec's mouth instantly watering to do the same.

He ran his fingers through her hair, loving the softness of the loose curls and the way she arched her neck upward at his touch. Her lips were parted slightly as her eyes fluttered open to meet his gaze.

“Kiss me good morning, Malec,” she whispered to him.

There was no way in hell that Malec was not going to oblige her. Lowering his lips to hers, he touched them quickly in a light kiss, then went in deeper when her hands flattened on his chest. His tongue delved deeper, stroking over hers with languid movements that had his dick instantly hardening, his mind filling with thoughts of her and her pleasure.

“Good morning, beautiful.”

Caroline heard his voice seconds after she felt Channing's hands slipping between the crevice of her bottom. His tongue had been tracing lacy circles over her back, warming and arousing her with slow and undeniable precision. As she'd slept through the night she recalled the feeling of intense heat surrounding her. It should have been uncomfortable and annoying, but instead it was relaxing. She was safe here, in this bed, between them. Nowhere else and at no other time had she felt this way. That thought had roamed in and out of her head while she'd slept and dreamed of them touching her, kissing her, wanting her in the exact way they were now.

Her mind sighed a good morning in response to Channing, because her mouth was otherwise occupied by the sweet and intoxicating efforts of Malec's tongue. Channing's hand cupped her cheek before sliding down her thigh. His teeth nipped the tender skin at her spine as he lifted her leg, sliding it upward until Malec reached down grabbing the back of her knee and locking her leg to his side.

Channing continued to move lower as his fingers slipped between the already-moist folds of her vagina. Those clever fingers moved slowly but provided instant and potent jabs of desire that shot through Caroline's body like hot spikes. She gasped at the touch and moaned when Malec bit her bottom lip in response. With her back arched Caroline's blunt-tipped nails dug into Malec's chest. Channing continued his assault by pressing two fingers deep into her aching center. She bucked against him, wanting … no, definitely needing more.

And Channing gave it to her.

“So hot and wet for us,” he whispered. “You were dreaming about us taking you, weren't you, baby?”

His voice was so smooth and yet so sexy as he whispered, his breath fanning warmly over her bottom, where he kissed and licked insistently. Caroline was on fire, as Malec had released his hold on her leg—probably assured that she wasn't going to put it down for fear of severing the delicious torture that Channing had begun. Malec's hand was now cupping her breast, kneading the heavy mound before taking her piercing between his fingers and shaking until she gasped.

“Yes!” she moaned. “Yes! Both of you!”

It was true, she had been dreaming about them, ever since that first night at the bar. She'd seen Channing's alluring blue eyes and heard Malec's deep, sexy voice. She'd felt them surrounding her, enticing her, welcoming her. Her first instinct had been denial. Now, all Caroline could think about was the need, the desire that threatened to strangle her and the two gorgeous men that were intent on giving her everything she never knew she needed.

“Let's give her what she wants, Malec,” Channing whispered, just before he'd moved so low that his tongue could now slip into the moistened cove where his fingers had just stroked.

“Everything she wants,” Malec replied, moving his hot kisses down the line of her neck and then to finally, blessedly, cover her nipple.

As Malec's tongue worked over one nipple, his other hand squeezed her opposite breast. Channing's tongue thrust deep into her center while his thumb flattened over her clit, rubbing until Caroline was pumping fiercely against his ministrations. She couldn't open her eyes, couldn't say anything more than their names, over and over again as her head thrashed against the pillows.

She was on fire, her body and mind screaming in ecstasy as their mouths and hands worked on her. With a moan from each of them, almost orchestrated into a sort of erotic rhythm, Caroline felt sexier and more desired than she ever had before. These two men, these two lycans, wanted her. They were telling her with their mouths and their hands, and the sounds of their desire echoed throughout the room. They wanted her and—god help her, as her body tensed, ripples of pleasure soared through her as the most intense orgasm she'd ever experienced overtook her—she wanted them in return.

“Good morning,” Channing said as he'd slid his naked body along hers.

With a finger to her chin, he turned her face so that she could receive his kiss, his lips still wet with her sweet-as-honey cream.

She kissed him back, letting her tongue rub along his, her eyes still dark with the release she'd just experienced. It had been that way for him too; that's why he was able to see it so clearly in her eyes. The moment her body had tensed, her muscles contracting, Channing could do nothing but continue to stroke his tongue along tenderness. Her taste was beyond anything he could have ever imagined, sweet and thick and all for him to enjoy.

He'd loved holding on to her throughout the night, feeling the curve of her ass cradled against the hard length of his cock. It was exactly where he'd wanted to be. And when morning came he hadn't been able to resist. He'd wanted to taste her and he had, and now he knew without a shadow of a doubt that she was meant for him. And for Malec.

“Good morning,” she replied with a smile as she lay back on the bed.

Malec continued to toy with her breasts while Channing stared down into her face.

“Thank you for staying,” she said to him, lifting a hand up to cup his cheek.

Her touch was warm and genuine, and Channing turned his face into her palm to kiss her there.

“You are so very welcome,” he replied.

“We won't leave you again,” Malec said. “You know who and what we are now, and as long as you are okay with that, we want to stay with you.”

The words were different and sounded strange to Channing's ears, but they were also true. She belonged with them, and Channing wasn't about to let her go.

“Come back to the lodge with us,” Channing said to her as he watched her look from him to Malec and then back to him again.

“You'll be safer there,” Malec added.

“We'll take care of you there,” Channing continued, this time touching his hand to her face, letting his fingers slide slowly along the line of her jaw. “We want to take care of you, Caroline. To give you all the pleasure you desire and to make you happy.”

There was no doubt that Caroline would be safer at the lodge with the entire pack there to protect her, even though the threat of the Solo was now over. But after hearing her speak about what she'd endured throughout her childhood and into early adulthood, Channing wasn't positive that telling her to pack up and move out there with them was going to go over very well. Malec, of course, would not have thought of it that way, which was why Channing was the seducer.

She stared up at him, blinking for a few silent seconds before replying, “What if I say no? What if I would rather stay here in my own house and continue going to work at the clinic that I believe is just beginning to get used to me being here?”

Channing could hear the immediate thumping of Malec's heartbeat only seconds before his reply came.

“Then I'll just have to move in here,” Malec told her. “Me and Channing.”

Her eyes grew a little wider as she looked at both of them once more. “Are you serious? You
and
Channing would move in with me?”

Channing nodded as he had been considering his response carefully. The bottom line was he had no intention of letting her out of his sight from this point on—even without the threat of some maniac lycan trying to make her a pawn in his game. He simply did not want to be away from her, but he wasn't sure that was going to be reason enough for her to pack up and move with them.

“We're dead serious,” Channing told her. “Last night with you was wonderful, more gratifying than I know either Malec or I have ever experienced, and we're not about to walk away from you or from what we can have together.”

“I … I don't know,” she said, shifting so that she could sit up in the bed.

Channing moved over, as did Malec, but they both still stayed on the bed with her. Caroline pulled the sheet high up on her chest as she used both hands to push her hair back from her face and attempted to smooth it down.

“I've never considered anything like this before. What if it doesn't work? What will people say?”

Channing took her hand then, lacing his fingers through hers. “This is just about us, baby,” he told her. “It's about us taking care of you and pleasuring you.”

“Is that all it's about?” she asked as she looked over to Channing.

He opened his mouth to speak and then, for the first time that he could ever remember, he closed it, unable to reply. What did he say to that question? How did he tell her that he felt deep down in his soul that she was their mate, that he'd felt that the moment he first saw her? Would she believe him, or would the doubt already clouding her eyes continue to bloom?

“This is new to us,” Malec intervened. “There are no rules and no expectations. But we want you with us.”

She'd looked to Malec as he moved off the bed. He didn't know what to say to her either, and Channing knew that meant they were in big trouble.

“Caroline,” Channing started to say, but she held up a hand, effectively silencing him once again.

She grabbed the sheet, wrapping it around her as she moved off the bed.

“Before either of you says another word, just listen to me for a moment. I want you both to know that it's not just been since I met you that I've been trying to fight this. I've always known,” she said with a sigh. “Not that I would end up in bed with two men, but I've always known that my needs and desires were not like other women's. I thought I was dealing with that in the best way that I knew how. Then the two of you came along.”

Channing rubbed a hand down the back of his head as he continued to watch her. He wanted to touch her, to reach out and take her into his arms, but he knew that this was something she had to do on her own. He couldn't decide this for her, and neither could Malec, although Channing was sure the other lycan was quickly trying to come up with a way that he could change that.

“Do you believe in fate?” Caroline asked Malec, who shrugged in response.

When she looked to Channing, he nodded, because he absolutely believed in fate. Or rather, he'd known, as the lycan being that should not have been on this earth in the first place, to accept what the Moirai, or the Fates, had planned for him.

“I do too,” Caroline continued. “I think that everything in my life happened to lead me to this point, and possibly to you. Max, my mother, she believed in fate, saying that whatever was meant to be for your life, would be.” She shrugged. “I don't know how else to explain it, just that I wanted you both immediately, and I think you felt the same about me. Last night was different, but it felt right. It felt good. Still, in the light of day, I just don't know about this other thing … this ménage. I don't know how to even consider something like that. What would people say? How would we go about doing this? Would both of you take me out to dinner? And how about our sleeping arrangements? Do we all climb into your king-sized bed? We could never fit into that small car of yours, Malec, as gorgeous as it is. And, Channing, I don't even know what type of car you drive.”

She was exasperated now, her fingers scraping along her scalp as she thrust them into her hair. They were pushing her, and it wasn't fair. Channing and Malec had known for years that this was what they wanted in their lives. They'd only given Caroline days to figure it out.

With that in mind, Channing moved from the bed and went to Caroline. He kissed her on the forehead and smiled down at her.

“Why don't you get a shower and get dressed for work. Your entire life does not have to change because we came into it,” he told her sincerely.

“I'll drive you to the clinic, in my small car,” Malec said with a wry chuckle. “'Cause I'm betting that this guy rode his superbike here, and I know you're not getting on the back of that.”

Caroline smiled over at him and then gave Channing a questioning look.

“It's a Kawasaki Ninja, and she'd be welcome to ride on the back anytime she wanted,” he told her.

“That's a pretty sweet ride,” she told him. “What color is it?”

“Candy-apple red,” he replied, a little surprised that she knew the type of bike he'd been referring to.
