He sneered at them and added.
“I
have no wish to hear you two
wh
impering
back there
. U
nless you want your mouths taped, I suggest you keep them shut.”

Honey pulled Sheila back into her seat and shook her head fiercely
,
i
ndicating for her not to say anything else. The last thin
g
they needed was to be tied up or have tape over their mouths. Sheila grudgingly settled back in the seat as the
aircraft
rose up into the air and took off
.

Within minutes they were headed to where
,
they did not know.
Honey had slipped her cell into her pocket
. S
he knew it would not work in the air but
when
they landed
,
she hoped to be able to use it. The men had
not searched them and as long as she had
the phone,
there was a chance.

It was late and though both were weary, they were not able to sleep. It was still dark when they landed on what seemed to be the side of a mountain. The
strange aircraft landed in the same manner as it had taken off
. It h
over
ed
over the landing spot and slowly descend
ed
.
When it was still,
the door opened and
the  same
men pulled them off
and the
others
followed.

Both Sheila and Honey were wide eyed as they watched a wall close in around the whole landing spot
. They found themselves
inside something they could not even imagine.

“Did you see that?” Sheila hissed in Honey’s ear.

“Yes, but I am not believing it. Where could we be?”

Honey was looking around in amazement at their surroundings. The floor was vast and it took several minutes to walk across it. A button pushed, open
ing
a door which appeared in the rock
wall
. Once inside
,
the door closed and they were in a room half the size of a football field.
It
was busy with people streaming everywhere, coming and going from many different openings. One
,
they were led to
.
Garrett signaled for them to continue as he and the man with him, turned to go
in
another
direction
.

“Wait! Garrett, what are you going to do with us?” Sheila
spoke
, trying not to
show her fear.

The man turned back around. “For starters, do not ever call me by that name again. You may refer to me as
Asa
, if there is a need. What I am going to do with you, you will find out soon
enough
.
But first I have another to add to your little group. I am sure both you will be happy to know that Jacks will join us before too long.” He spoke to the men. “
Get them out of my sight!”

The two looked at each other in bewilderment
,
as t
he men shoved them through the opening and down a hall that was more like a tunnel.
Why would Garrett want them to call him
Asa
?
They were both thinking the same thing.

There was something eerily familiar about
the place
.
Honey thought it was because it reminded her of the stone house
. Here was
much
more light
.

She kept touching her cell, praying it would hold a charge until she had an opportunity to use it. Looking at the massive amount of rock and stone that surrounded them she doubted if it would work anyway. She had noticed that in the large room there were all kind of monitors and equipment
and
thinking there had to be communication to somewhere.

She and
Sheila did not speak
as they were prompted on
. E
ventually
they came
to a
nother
door which was opened and they were thrust forward into it
. T
he door
was shut
clos
ing
them in
a room
furnished with
any
necessities
they might need
. Three beds lined the walls and as many chairs scattered around. Alone
,
the women hugged each other for comfort, both close to tears.

“What do you suppose they are going to do to us? Honey, I am terrified! I feel like I am back with Morgan
.
I do
not
think I can handle this. What are we going to do?”
Sheila’s eyes were brimming with her unshed tears.

Honey composed her own self
,
for she was feeling distressed
too
. But, she was the older of the two and she was going to keep Sheila calm and as unafraid as she could.

“Darling, please d
on’t
cry. I know it looks bad but maybe they just want to scare us….and it is working
.
W
e must not show fear. That
is
what they want. That….that man! Who does he think he is anyway? Kidnapping is a federal offense and he will surely pay when he get
s
caught.”

Her words were meant for
comfort
,
instead they brought a new horror to both of them. Sheila threw herself on the bed and wailed, “That’s just it! He won’t ever let us go
,
because if he did he would get caught. Don’t you understand? They are going to kill us!”

Honey followed her and sat on the bed stroking Sheila’s long hair that had lost the pins
which
had held it up.

“No
. N
o Sheila
,
you have to be brave
.
W
e
have to be brave
and not think like that. Come on
.
I am going to see if that
door
over
there
goes to
a washroom
.
I will
get you something to wipe your face.

She found that it was
a bath
and it was
amply
supplied. Wetting a cloth, she took it and put it in Sheila’s hands
,
watch
ing
as she wiped her face.
Sheila,
feeling shame,
stopped suddenly and looked at Honey with a troubled face.

“I am so sorry, Honey. I will stop acting like a child
. I know
we will figure out how to get out of here.”

“I d
on’t
blame you one bit
.
I feel like crying myself but….hey!
My cell
.
I still have it!”

She reached into her pocket and pulled out the little cell phone
. T
hey both looked anxiously while she turned it on to see if there was any service.

“There is a bar!” Honey excitedly punched at the numbers 911 and held the phone as it started to ring and was devastated when it suddenly went blank.

“NO
! N
o, no!” Honey screamed at the phone. “You can

t
do this!” She kept trying to get it to come back on without any luck. It was dead. She put her head in her hands covering her face
but uncovered it when Sheila
said
,

What did Garrett mean when he said we could call him
Asa
?”

Honey
looked up
. “I am not sure. Why would he want to be called
Asa
? W
here is
Asa
anyway?
Maybe Dwight was right and he died that night with a heart attack.
I do
n’t
feel one bit guilty hoping he did!

“That
is
what I’m saying. Something really weird is going on
.
Garrett was acting totally strange.
I was around him enough to know his personality and
i
t was like he….”

Honey finished her sentence. “….Like he was
not Garrett but
actually
like
Asa
. You
are
right
.
I never met Garrett but I felt like I knew him when I first saw him tonight.”

Sheila added, “And I never met
Asa
but I knew Garrett pretty well when I was with Morgan
.
I am telling you he acted nothing like
himself.”

“So, what do you think is going on?” Honey asked.

“Honey, I know this is crazy
,
but do you think that night on the roof….no, it couldn’t be.”

“Could
not
be what? Sheila
,
what do you think happened that night? Tell me!”

“It was some sort of ritual
. W
e know that but just what was going on? Think! When we got there Jacks was about to do something
.
Asa
told him to come into the circle with him, right?” She didn’t stop for Honey to comment but went on, getting to her feet. “When Jacks was distracted by you and stopped turning towards you, it was Garrett
who
threw himself into th
at
circle with
Asa
.
R
emember Dwight said that
Asa
collapsed
,
  he
seemed
sure he was dead. Garrett stood up and ordered Jacks killed.
You see
? N
o one would have obeyed Garrett! He was a wimp
. T
hey would have laughed at him….don’t you get it? Garrett became
Asa
,
that very night! Or, whatever evil was in
Asa
,
went into Garrett
.
I am sure of this. Why haven’t we thought about this before?”

“Is such a thing possible?” Honey was doubtful.

“I kn
o
w there
is
evil involved with all that has happened, all that I went through with Morgan
.
I now believe it was even more than I thought. Honey,
Asa
was
….
is evidently the leader of
them all. He is what I heard them refer to as ‘master,’ and he was old
. T
he evil that existed in him needed a new body.”

“And he wanted Jacks!

Sheila, if you are right and my mind cannot absorb such a thing. I mean, I know there is evil
,
but this is something that I find hard to believe could happen. Wouldn’t God stop such a thing?”

Sheila sighed
, “Honey, there are so many questions I have myself
.
I think God has to let this evil that exist play out to the end. I know that my parents used to say that a person could open themselves up to be possessed by an evil spirit and I believe it. Oh, I wish Dwight was here!”

Honey agreed,
“At least we have each other and they did
not
separate us. We can thank God for that. Now we have to come up with a plan to get out of this place. Where do you think we are
? These mountains are humongous! I would
not
be surprised if there is a whole city in here. Did you see how that plane just eased down?”

“Yeah, it was like a helicopter only
it sure
didn’t look like one. It hovered
. C
an you believe
the whole side of the mountain
just
closed up
?
How in the world can something like this exist
,
without people knowing about it?”

“I d
on’t
know that either
.
I did notice the men who escorted us were odd. Didn’t you find them so?”

“You mean because they never spoke?”
