Ava nodded. Shane entwined their fingers and leaned in for a kiss that burned from the inside out.
When she could find her voice she whispered. “And since I am the owner of this establishment, drinks are on the house."
"Ah the perks of loving a bar owner.” He kissed her again, long and hard. Ava took his kiss, savored his taste, and knew she never wanted to be anywhere else, but with him.
"And I do love you, Ava. More than you'll ever know."
"I love you too, Darling."
"Caribbean Cosmo, right?"
"Shane, you remembered."
"What will it be, guys?” Elena broke in on their moment, a broad smile creasing her pretty face.
Shane replied but his eyes fixed on Ava. “My lady will have her usual."
Ava nodded and lifted trembling fingers to caress his handsome face.
He turned his head to kiss Ava's palm, smiled and winked. “A Caribbean Cosmo—with a twist."
Hey, I'm just a girl who loves to write ever since I read my first romance back in the Dark Ages; I'm 57 (the new 47, I'm told..lol...) overweight, and love to eat (hey I'm Italian!) And I love the feeling of a book in my hands, and to open the first page and know I am entering a fantasy world where I can lose myself within those pages. There is nothing like being in love with.....being in love. I collect children's versions of the timeless (and my favorite) fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast, to me the greatest love story ever told.
