What else happened
today?” He loved that Steven had considered their frenzied coupling
as making love. It helped Aiden believe he was in this for more
than just the pleasure.

Lots of thinking on my
part.”

Any, um,
luck?”

Steven laughed more jovially this
time. “Luck? Maybe. I’m still upset, but I guess I understand.
Though I have to admit that I keep wondering if I really saw what I
saw. I hardly slept at all last night.”

Don’t be afraid of us,
please. We’re still ourselves inside when it happens.”

I could see that with
you. Patrick just worries me.” Steven paused, and Aiden let him
take his time. “That first night was totally unlike me. But I know
I would have done anything Patrick asked me to do. That worries me.
His influence, or whatever, is hard to ignore. Being near him is
intoxicating.”

I know it is. You’re
scared you won’t make the right decisions?”

Sort of.”

That’s understandable.”
Aiden cleared his throat. “Was it too much? Him fucking me in front
of you? You and I making each other come?”

I don’t know. I liked
touching you, loved you touching me. It was hot watching him take
you. I felt both honored and jealous.”

You wanted to be inside
me?” Aiden whispered.

Steven whispered back in an even
softer voice. “Yes.”

If he’s with us, you can
be. I don’t want this to be, well, lopsided. He and I are a package
deal. That sounds awful, I guess, but he’s my mate.”

Then why do you need
me?”

It’s the way wolves are.
We need more than two to balance our pack. Think of it like
politics. With a two party system, sometimes nothing gets done
because the two sides just keep butting heads. A third party helps
them work things out. With three or more, needs are met in a better
way. No, you aren’t a wolf, but your smell affects us both the same
way. We scent you or touch you, and the word
mine
rings out clear for both of
us.”

That sounds crazy but
wonderful. But I’m not like you. I need more than a feeling. I’m
nuts about you, Aiden.”

Spend some time with
Patrick, please. In public if you have to.”

Yes, in public. If we’re
alone, I know I’ll let him fuck me.”

Aiden’s mouth hung open. “Really? He
affects you that much?”

Yeah. I’m sure. He addles
me. As angry as I was last night, I’d probably only have fought him
off for a moment.”

Do you mean that?” Aiden
asked, his own need building as he imagined Patrick claiming
Steven.

Yes. There’s something
about him. And seeing him pin you down and speak to you like that
made it worse. The conflict, I mean. I wanted to defend you, and I
didn’t want him to be the kind of man who would hurt you.” Steven
sighed. “He’s the cool, popular guy, and I’m the geek. I really
thought he was making fun of me, Aiden. I think you two don’t quite
get that. It still sounds crazy now, but in that first moment it
was laughable.”

Aiden nodded, then snapped out of it
because he realized Steven couldn’t see him. “You’re right. I got
it, but I guess I wasn’t thinking about it the right way. Patrick
is intimidating. I should have thought of that.”

It’s something Patrick
needs to think about, too, please. He needs to tone down the alpha
thing and be patient with me.” He sighed yet again, Aiden loving
the sound. “I’m not opposed to the threesome thing. It turns me on.
I just need time to think about it as more than a few fun
nights.”

All right. I’ll talk to
him. Knowing I’ve already claimed you did a number on him. I think
it’s slowly humbling him in a way.”

How?” Steven sounded very
surprised. “I can’t imagine that guy humbled.”

Well, if he’d behaved, he
could have shared it with us. He sees that losing his temper cost
him something precious.” A thought occurred to him. “Hey, Steven,
if Patrick shifts to wolf form, will you go on a walk with us? I
want him to see us together and not be able to open his big
mouth.”

Yeah, that sounds nice.
Tonight?”

No. Let’s do tomorrow
after dinner. It’s kind of humid tonight, plus it’s getting
late.”

All right. We’ll plan on
it then.”

Good. I’m looking forward
to it.” He sighed and licked his bottom lip, smiling. He knew he’d
done that because Steven had a habit of doing both often as he
spoke. “Good night, Steven.”

Good night.”

Aiden ended the call and went to find
Patrick. He found his stubborn mate in the bathroom running a
bath.

That was him,” Aiden
said.

I know. I was trying not
to eavesdrop.” He began stripping his clothes off.

Aiden eyed the hard muscles but didn’t
move toward Patrick. “Tomorrow night, you’re going to shift so the
three of us can go for a little nature walk. If you can’t talk,
you’re far less likely to fuck up.”

Patrick sank into the tub and nodded
his agreement. Aiden didn’t like seeing his mate like this. He
stripped down and got into the large oval tub with Patrick and
began gently splashing water on Patrick to wash him. His mate
didn’t need words or sex right now; he needed to feel loved. Aiden
built up a good lather and cleansed Patrick’s chest. Patrick
relaxed and watched Aiden, his look contemplative.

Aiden continued washing Patrick. He
cleaned every inch of him very gently, only briefly touching his
semi-erect cock. Finally, as he finished, the right words came to
him. “I see you worrying, love. It’s all or nothing, Patrick. Don’t
look so scared.” He steeled himself for what he was about to say.
“And I promise I’ll give him up if he doesn’t want both of
us.”

You’ve claimed him.
You’ll ache for him if you let him go.” Patrick caressed his
cheek.

Aiden kissed his palm and smiled. “And
you would ease that ache, love me and fuck me until I
forgot.”

I love you, Aiden. I’m
going to make this happen.” The tone held a solemn promise. Patrick
hadn’t been this somber in a very long time.

Patrick, I’m glad you’re
being serious, but don’t be so down.” He touched Patrick’s neck and
looked into his eyes. “This is very fixable. Don’t beat yourself
up. I hate when you’re hot one day and cold the next. Angry one
minute and berating yourself the moment I turn around.”

I’m the alpha, the
provider. There’s no room for mistakes.”

Everyone makes mistakes.”
Aiden put the cloth down and sat in front of Patrick, pressing his
back to Patrick’s chest. “We’ll right this one. Steven is sweet and
kind. He was angry because he felt defensive of me, exactly as you
would have if someone had pinned me down and reprimanded me. He was
also upset because he likes you. He didn’t want to think you were
the kind of man who would hurt me.”

That’s nice of you to
say, but I’m not so sure.”

I am,” Aiden said,
wiggling against his lover. “His exact words not ten minutes
ago.”

Patrick’s cock hardened against
Aiden’s ass. “His words?”

Yes, love, his
words.”

Patrick wrapped his arms around Aiden.
“I like that, knowing he’d protect you if I weren’t
around.”

Aiden laughed. “I don’t need
protection.”

What else did he
say?”

He obviously likes me as
much as I like him, and you really get him going. He wanted me to
make sure you get that he thought you were teasing him in a cruel
way, like you were making fun of him.”

I’d never do
that.”

And how could he know
that after being around you twice? He wants you to see that his
reaction was justified.”

Okay, I get it. I’ll work
on thinking before acting.”

Good.”

Patrick kissed the top of his head. “I
do love you, baby. So much. I’ll do my best for you.”

Aiden rubbed Patrick’s arm. “Love you,
too.” He shifted against the hard shaft pressing close. “Now,
enough talk. Fuck me, my love.”

Patrick ran his hand down Aiden’s
stomach. “If you insist.”

Aiden cried out as Patrick stroked
him, not caring about the water that splashed everywhere as they
made love.

Chapter Six

Patrick had never “tagged along” in
his life, but he definitely felt like he was doing so now as he
trotted along in wolf form between Aiden and Steven. However, the
view of Aiden’s and Steven’s asses helped make it bearable. He sped
up a little to feel more like he was part of the ongoing
conversation.

It’s boring. We have a
list of clients we check on. When someone is having a problem
making a payment, they’re supposed to call us and try to work
something out. That’s the ‘counseling’ part of being a Financial
Counselor.” Steven sighed. “I’m just a really nice collections
person. The CEO prefers to keep the collections within the mortgage
company so they can control how the customers are treated, which is
nice in a way.”

It sounds like a good
system to me,” Aiden said. “I’d be more willing to work with a
company that cared enough to even consider it. Most companies don’t
give a damn what happens after they turn an account over to
collections.”

True.” Steven looked down
at Patrick. “What does Patrick do?”

He’s in IT, too, like me,
but he’s a cubicle dweller. I got lucky and snagged a job that can
be done remotely. He’s in the PR department at Brunson Marketing.
He helps design internal and external elements.”

Steven frowned. “Internal and
external?”

Internal is for
employees, while external is for customers. So he does the intranet
for employees to enter their bank info, do HR training, and all
that, plus the websites for potential and existing clients on the
Internet.”

Oh. Your job sounds more
fun, actually.”

Aiden shrugged. “At least he gets to
be creative. I just update and modify websites for the clients of
my company as requested. I don’t get to make suggestions or be
inventive. I just give people what they ask for.”

Steven looked off into the trees. “Are
we on my land or yours now?”

Just crossed over to
yours. Your parcel is actually half an acre bigger than ours,”
Aiden said.

It’s so peaceful out
here. Do strangers come out here?” Steven asked.

Not on our land. The
river is just a little too rough for people to get across. And the
hill is the only way to drive up here from the highway. We’re nice
and secluded.”

What about the kids? You
said the other neighbors had some.”

Aiden nodded. “Yeah, the Davenports
have three: Luke, Michael, and Emily. All under five, so they don’t
go far alone.”

They must be in bed by
now.”

Probably.”

Patrick thought he knew where Steven
was going with this, but he wasn’t sure just yet.

Steven stopped and pulled Aiden close.
“So we’re probably not going to be disturbed?”

Patrick looked up at Steven as Aiden
said, “No, I’d say we’re safe.”

Patrick could tell Aiden was getting
aroused. Steven leaned in and asked, “Does this count as Patrick
being with us?”

Aiden’s eyes went wide, and Patrick
could smell the desire coming off of Steven now. Patrick sat down
and wagged his tail, ready to watch the show. He couldn’t imagine
Aiden saying no to the man he’d already claimed and marked as
his.

Aiden laughed as he looked into
Patrick’s eyes. “I think Patrick is saying ‘yes’, but that’s
probably his dick talking. He wants to claim you so bad he’ll do
anything to see you naked again.”

Patrick nipped at Aiden’s knee
playfully, then nuzzled against him.

Steven watched them closely. “I see.
So, is claiming permanent?”

Yes. It doesn’t affect
you, but I’ll always want you. When wolves are young, it’s
different. We can have sex without causing that to happen. But once
we mature, coming inside someone is a big deal.”

Steven wrapped his arms around Aiden.
“I’d never have let anyone I’d only known two days come inside me,
but I couldn’t resist you.” Steven kissed Aiden tenderly. “I want
to taste you again, then fuck you.”

Patrick’s skin tingled as he watched.
He’d sworn he wouldn’t change back, but he wanted to jerk off as he
watched. He wiggled around, lying on his side. Steven and Aiden
were kissing now, Steven slowly undressing Aiden. Patrick tried not
to blink. He was always stunned by how beautiful his Aiden was, and
he enjoyed seeing Steven touch him so lovingly. Once Aiden was
naked, Steven got down on his knees and licked Aiden’s cock.
Watching Aiden throw his head back and moan had Patrick ready to
howl. Steven took all of Aiden’s cock, gagging just a bit, which
Patrick found very hot.
