Epilogue

Xavier sat in the stands of Madison Square Garden watching
his wife, Cassandra, come in off the bench for the New York Liberty to drill
home four consecutive three-point shots. The crowd was on their feet, screaming
in approval as the fearless point guard weaved and dribbled the ball between defenders
and made impressive shots from deep within the court. Even their three-year-old
son, Xander, was on his feet, screaming his head off. Cameron, now in his last
year of college, was also on his feet screaming encouragement.

Xavier grinned with pride.

After four years of marriage, two children—their son, Xander,
and their baby, Zoey, who was sleeping blissfully in his lap—he had given up
trying to understand her skills with a basketball. She was truly amazing. Their
daughter was only five months old, and Cassandra wasn’t supposed to play
tonight, but yet again, she’d proved the doctors and the coaches wrong.

She and her teammates walked off the court hours later amid
cheers of their appreciative fans for the unexpected victory against the Los
Angeles Sparks. Candace Parker, the star from the Sparks, also gave Cassandra a
fist pump in respect of her skill but promised retribution in their next game
at the Staples Center.

Later that night, after both children were sleeping peacefully,
Xavier was yet again impressed with his wife’s skill in another arena. High
above the New York skyline, their penthouse apartment was only one of the homes
they now owned. He still worked for the DEA but had been performing some
contract work with Neo and his team. Those numerous extractions from some of
the world’s most dangerous places had proved very lucrative. One client in
particular had been so grateful for the return of his petulant son from capture
by a dictatorship regime that he had gifted Xavier the penthouse in New York.
Now, in addition to the penthouse, they maintained a home in Miami and in the
Bahamas. However, it was their house in the Bahamas that they often retreated
to for solace.

His body heated in response to her personal performance for his
eyes only. Her body was adorned in a sexy white leather teddy, and she proceeded
to treat him to a pole dance. She climbed, spun, gyrated, and inverted her body
to the music of Zane Malik’s, “Pillow Talk.”

It was impossible to look away from her. “You said that we were
going to wait awhile to get pregnant again,” Xavier reminded her. They both
remembered the night that Zoey was conceived.  It was the first time he’d seen
her on a pole. That night, and the times since, she had never gotten to finish
her dance, and tonight was going to be no exception.

She laughed huskily as he lifted her off the pole, held her up
with brute strength right there in the middle of the room, and stroked up into
her.

“There is such a thing as birth control, ya know,” she said
breathlessly as his fingers dug into her round bottom, holding her steady as he
drilled into her heat.

“With the way I’m feeling, I don’t think any damn birth control
is going to stop my boys from impregnating your ass,” Xavier growled.

She tightened her legs around his waist and clamped her muscles
around his cock, holding him like a vise. His hips stilled, and he hissed.

“I love you, X. But if I get pregnant after this, you’re
quitting your damn job and staying home.”

“Baby, consider this my resignation.” He drove into her hard
and deep.

“God, I love you,” she whimpered.

“I love you,” he roared and exploded inside of her.
