You're My Little Secret 3 (11 page)

“Hell no,
I can’t believe you would even think that. I’m very happy being with you. Kyle
is the biggest dog I know, so nothing that he does surprises me. Honestly, it’s
not even about him. Nadia was my best
friend,
and she should have known better. I knew that something was wrong, but I’m
happy I know for sure now,” I replied honestly.

“Alright,
I was just asking. But you’re right Nadia shouldn’t have crossed that line. At
least you found out before it was too late. First it was Scott now Nadia is on
some foul shit. That word loyalty
do
n’t
mean nothing no more,” he said while shaking his head.

I hate to
admit it, but he was absolutely right. A lifetime of friendship was gone down
the drain all behind Kyle’s no good dog ass.

NADIA

I’ve never
felt so stupid in my life. I lost my best friend
over
a man that doesn’t give a damn about me. I’d spent three weeks
in jail hoping and praying that Kyle would come and bail me out. Shannon and I
were in the holding cell together for the first day, but we got separated after
that. I just assumed that she was still locked up as well, but I soon found out
that I was wrong. After talking to one of the male guards who kept flirting
with me, I found out that Shannon had been bailed out after only two days of
being in there. As stupid as it sounds, I thought it would be only a matter of
time before they came back for me. After the first week I gave up hope, but I
was too scared to call anybody. By week number three, I thought that I was
going to lose my
mind,
so I ended up
calling my mother. She was so upset, but she still came through for me just
like she always does. I hated for her to get Candace involved, but I was ready
to get the hell out of there. I’d lost so much weight because I refused most of
the meals that were offered to me. A few times I’d luck up and get something
decent to eat, but it wasn’t that often. I’m so thankful that my rent had been
paid up for a few
months,
or I’d probably
be evicted by now. I have a few thousand dollars saved up from before, but that
won’t last me too long. I still have to go to court and legal fees will
probably eat that up. Even though I’m a
first-time
offender, the dollar amount of the checks we cashed was so high. I pray that I
just get
probation,
and I don’t have to
do any time in jail. I’m bound to go crazy if I do.

I spent my
first night home soaking in a hot tub of water and nursing the bruises on my
face and body. Candace went into full beast mode and practically killed me with
her bare hands. I understand that she’s mad, but she took things a little too
far. Deep in my
heart,
I knew she didn’t help
Dominic and Brooklyn get together, but that was my only defense. I really don’t
have a reason as to why I started messing with
Kyle,
so I tried to turn everything around on her. She’s right about everything that
she said about him. He left me in jail and went on as if I never existed. I’ve
been calling his phone nonstop since I’ve been home. At first, he would send me
straight to voicemail. After a
while,
he
blocked me out altogether. I called Shannon’s phone, but she didn’t answer
either. She did send me a text telling me that she would call me later, but
that call never came. I’m giving him a few days to think it’s all good before I
show up at their house. There’s no doubt in my mind that we’re over, but he owes
me money that I want and need.

“I see you
finally decided to call me back,” I said when I answered the phone for Shannon.
I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m pissed with her too. Obviously, she didn’t care
enough to help me out of my situation either. I called her three days
ago,
and she’s just now returning my call.

“I had to
wait until Kevin wasn’t around to call you back,” she replied.

“So you
can’t talk to me in front of Kevin? When did that start?” I asked.

“I don’t
know. I guess he’s listening to Kyle. He’s been in a foul
mood,
and
I’m
not trying to do anything
to piss him off.”

“Oh, so
Kyle doesn’t want you talking to me? That bastard left me in jail even though
it was his fault that I was there. Then he tries to shut me out like it never
happened. He owes me thousands of
dollars
and I want it,” I yelled.

“I doubt
if you’ll ever see it. It’s been so crazy around here. Since we went to jail
the whole check scam thing is over with. The dude that was helping him doesn’t
even want to deal with him anymore. He won’t print up
anymore
checks for him either. Kyle claims that the money is
running low. He’s been talking about hitting up somebody’s stash that they know,”
Shannon said.

“How the
hell is money running low? We gave him all the money that we made not even a
month ago,” I yelled.

“That’s
the same thing I said. He’s been gambling like
crazy,
and Kevin said he owed somebody some money. He was even trying to get Kevin to
help him rob somebody outside the club a few days ago. Then he’s been having
that bitch Tiffany here every day like she lives here or something,” she
informed me.

“Are you
serious?”

“Dead ass,”
she replied.

Candace
had his ass right. I was locked
up,
and
he was laid up with the next bitch. I’m not going to tell Shannon, but she’ll
be seeing me sooner than she thinks. I’m about to pay Kyle’s ass a
much needed
visit.

****

It
had taken
me an entire week before I worked up
enough courage to finally pay Kyle a visit. I spoke with Shannon
earlier,
and she told me that Tiffany hadn’t
been there for the past two days. I didn’t tell her that I was coming because I’m
sure she would have told Kevin. I don’t know what I’m walking
into,
so I’m going prepared for a fight. I
pulled my hair up into a high ponytail and threw on some leggings with a long
spaghetti strap tank to match. I slipped on my Nikes and was out the door. The
drive to Kyle’s house took me about
forty-five
minutes,
and I had a lot of time to think
while I drove.

I’m so
ashamed of how I betrayed
Candace,
and I
want nothing more than to apologize. I can honestly say that she has always
been a great friend to me. Her family welcomed me in and never treated me like
an outsider. I tried calling her, but just like Kyle, she blocked my number
too. I could have gone to Bryce’s shop to talk to her, but I knew that I was
asking for another beat down if I did. I’m sure that she told Co-Co and
everybody else about what I’d done by now. I didn’t need any more
embarrassment.

As soon as
I pulled up to Kyle’s house, I saw his truck parked out front. I parked on the
side of the building and turned my car off. Before I got out, I spotted Kevin’s
truck pulling up right behind Kyle’s. I rushed out of my car and met up with him
just as he unlocked the door.

“Where is
Shannon at Kevin?” I asked startling him. He looked me up and down lustfully
before he answered my question.

“I just
dropped her off at the hair salon. What are you doing here?” He asked.

“I’m here
to get my money from your brother.
Y’all
just said fuck me and left me in jail to rot. He’s damn sure not keeping the
money that I got locked up for,” I snapped.

“Don’t say
y’all
. I didn’t have shit to do with
that. He could have bailed you out when I went to get Shannon, so don’t blame me
for that. And I really don’t think this is a good time for you to be here right
now. You need to call him before you just show up.”

“Maybe I
would have called if he hadn’t blocked my number. I’m already
here,
and I want to talk to him now,” I yelled
as I pushed passed him and went inside.

“Aye girl,
don’t be busting your ass up in here like you running shit,” Kevin yelled as he
came after me.

By then I
was already halfway upstairs heading towards Kyle’s room. I heard the radio
playing and the red light illuminated from underneath his bedroom door. I
twisted the knob on the unlocked door right as Kevin grabbed my arm.

“Let me
go!” I yelled as I busted into the bedroom. Aside from the glow of the light, I
saw
red as I witnessed Kyle and Tiffany
lying in bed butt ass naked. He was on top of
her,
and they were actually having sex. Hearing about it is one thing, but to catch
them in the act is something totally different. They broke their connection and
reached for the covers when I burst through the door.

“What the
fuck are you doing here Nadia?” Kyle yelled at me. Tiffany was still trying to
cover herself up, but it was too late for all of that. I already saw everything
that I needed to see.

“I hate
you!” I screamed as I ran towards Kyle. I used all the energy I had and punched
him right in his mouth. I found a little more confidence when I saw that his
lip had started bleeding. I kept swinging, trying to hurt him just as much as
he’d hurt me over the past few weeks. Tiffany used this as an opportunity to
get out of bed and get dressed. I wanted a piece of her ass too, but I was more
focused on him for now. Of course, he didn’t sit there and let me win for long.
As soon as he was able to stand up he reached back and slapped the shit out of
me. He hit me so hard that I went flying to the floor from the impact.

“Man, get
this bitch out of here before I hurt her,” Kyle yelled to Kevin as he started
to get dressed. I rubbed my stinging face and stood to my feet once again. I
wasn’t done, but this time I wasn’t after Kyle. I’m like a crazy woman and all
common sense is gone at this point. I ran over to Tiffany and started swinging
on her next. She tried to cover her face, but she never did try to swing back.
I had her cowering in the corner while I gave her an ass whipping that she
would never forget. Some of my anger was reserved for her cousin, but she got
it all since she’s the only one here. I felt my ponytail being forcefully
pulled,
and I was being hauled across the
carpet like a rag doll. Kyle had come to her rescue and pulled me off of her.

“Get off
of me! You left me in jail so you can play house with this hoe. Nigga, where is
the money that I got locked up for?” I screamed.

“Bitch, I
don’t owe you anything
. Thanks to you getting caught
I lost my fucking hook up,” Kyle replied angrily. He stood in front of Tiffany
like he was her bodyguard or something. She was trying hard to fix herself up,
but she was still a mess.

“Take me
home Kyle,” she cried like a scared little girl. He grabbed her hand and
started leading her out of the room. I tried to get at them again, but Kevin held
me back.

“Bitch you
better not be here when I get back,” Kyle spat before leaving out of the room.

“Fuck you!”
I yelled while trying to break free from Kevin’s hold. I kicked and screamed
trying to get to him again, but it was of no use. He and Tiffany walked down
the stairs and straight out the front door.

“Calm down
girl,” Kevin instructed while still holding me. He had me in a bear hug as he
guided me out of Kyle’s room and closed the door.

“Just let
me go Kevin,” I begged as the tears started falling from my eyes. He released
his hold on me and allowed me to fall to the floor and cry. This just can’t be
my life. How could I lose not one, but two men to two cousins? This shit sounds
just like a lifetime movie.

“Come on girl,
get up. Don’t let nobody have you acting outside of your character like this,”
Kevin said.

I allowed
him to help me up from the floor and stand me up straight. He put his hand
underneath my chin and lifted my head. We made eye contact, but I turned my
head away in shame. I hated for him to see me act this way, but I couldn’t help
it. He used his thumb to wipe away my
tears,
and I was very surprised by his gesture. I’ve never seen him be this
affectionate with Shannon. Before I knew what was happening, he leaned in and
planted a kiss on my lips. His lips were so soft that I just had to do it
again. This time when I kissed him, he stuck his tongue in my mouth. As wrong
as it was I opened my mouth and willingly accepted it. We stood in the hallway
kissing for a few minutes before I finally broke away from him.

“I’m sorry,”
I mumbled as I tried to walk away from him.

“I’m not
complaining,” he replied as he pulled me back.

When he
kissed me this time, he started fumbling with the buckle
of
his belt. If I wanted to stop him, now would
have been the time. He dropped his pants and boxers to the floor in a matter of
seconds. I didn’t protest when he pushed me down on my knees and guided his
rock hard erection into my warm mouth. He gripped the back of my head as I took
all of what he offered to the back of my throat. I looked up and smiled when I
saw his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Since Kyle had done me wrong,
sleeping with Kevin was ultimate payback. Shannon didn’t do anything to deserve
it. She’s just a casualty of the war that Kyle started.
