This novel is a work of fiction. Any references to historical events; to real people, living or dead; or to real locales are intended only to give the fiction a sense of reality and authenticity. Names, characters, places and incidents either are products of the author’s imagination or are

used fictitiously and their resemblance, if any, to real-life counterparts is entirely coincidental.

Prologue – from Zoey Rogue

Zoey was both hopeful and devastated...not to mention cold, wet and homeless. The pounding rain made her want to curl up and weep, anything would be better than sitting here and feeling the pain that attacked her very core and the overpowering ache in her heart caused by Declan’s betrayal.

But thinking about him was the last thing she would allow herself to do. She would focus on tomorrow, on the Cambion-killing team that was going to show the security forces of both the Incubatti and Sucubatti societies how to deal with this mess they’ve created.

As much as she wanted to erase the last three days...those days in which his sex magic made her fall in love with him...she couldn’t deny that it was indeed magical. Tears blurred her vision. Was it possible to fall in love with an Incubus in just three days? Or did she want to kill him?

Zoey had no idea what to think or feel. She almost believed the bullshit about belonging with him. It was real. She could hear his whisper, trying to calm her. It tore through her, along with need and fury.

Zoey rested her head in her hands, both soothed and tormented by the reminder that she was bound to someone who betrayed her. But she was going to change that, with the help of her team.

Chapter One: Zoey

T
WO MONTHS LATER

Shit. Not again.

Zoey Alexander opened her eyes, her head throbbing. The night sky stretched overhead. It sparkled with tiny stars, while the ground beneath her was cold. Grass tickled one ear. The half-succubus leader of Team Rogue lay on her back for a moment to gather her senses. Wherever she was, she wasn’t where she’d fallen asleep, on a cot in the office of a warehouse that acted as her base of operations.
