The first brush of Mike's cockhead against his opening made
Connor's dick fill out. It had been so long since he'd been filled. Mike was
beautiful, his body well-built and his dick not huge, but big enough to get the
job done. Connor pushed back, spreading his legs more, coming up off the bed.
Mike's dick was insistent. The slick slide of precome dampened Connor's pucker.
He wanted Mike inside of him.

"Let me grab some lube."

Connor missed the contact almost immediately. He looked over
his shoulder at Mike, emotions slamming into him. He wanted to be free to love
this man but he didn't think he'd ever get over Riley.

Mike was back, his fingers sliding over Connor's crack to his
balls. The need to be filled had him straining against Mike's hand. The drip of
cool lube on his ass surprised him then Mike was rubbing his hot hands over the
slick, guiding it to Connor's hole. The first breach of his opening brought
forth a gasp from Connor. He needed the connection and the pain.

"Now—please."

"Are you sure?" Mike slid two fingers in, searching
for Connor's prostate. Mike hit the right spot and it felt like a thousand
fireworks went off at once. His hearing and vision narrowed then expanded.
Mike's fingers were gone, but his dick was pressing in. Connor forgot
everything and his mind shut down as Mike entered him. The delicious burn
spread through his body. Mike pushed in farther and the pain turned to
pleasure.

Mike rocked in and out, leaving Connor fully satisfied. His
dick pulsed and his balls were tight. Mike changed his angle, taking Connor's
breath away. The rush to come hit him so hard he was taken by surprise. He
gasped and arched his ass up, giving Mike more access. Fingers dug into his
flesh and sweat dripped down his face.

Connor realized he was going to come without touching himself
and that made him blow. He bit his lip and let the release flow. Mike gasped as
Connor's come shot out.

"Babe, so good," Mike groaned as he came, his dick
pulsing inside of Connor.

They'd not used a condom and Mike's hot sperm filled Connor.
He sighed, loving how good it felt. Mike jerked over the last of his orgasm and
sank down on Connor, pushing Connor to the mattress.

"Connor, damn, I love you."

Those words again. He sucked in a breath, wondering if he
could say it. Did he actually feel it? Could he love again or was he too
damaged? Mike kissed his neck, his tongue traced Connor's neck up to his ear.
Connor shivered as Mike's teeth sank into the fleshy lobe.

"Mike."

"Hmmm?"

"You make me so hot. I can't think when you kiss me like
that."

Mike moved his hips and pulled out of Connor, leaving him
wanting more. "We need to shower."

"Wait." Connor lifted and pushed Mike off his back.
He turned to face Mike, knowing he had to say something. "I'm not ready to
say that I love you. My head isn't right. I have feelings for you. It's almost
too much stuff in my head at times. I don't know which way to turn."

"There is no pressure for you to tell me anything,
Connor. I love you. That is given freely. I accept what you can give, but I don't
expect for anything more."

Connor's guts twisted. Mike was too good for him. He didn't
deserve a man who treated him so kindly. Riley had been great, and the sex
amazing, but there was always that part of Riley that loved Lane and no matter how
long they were together, he knew he'd never have all of Riley. With Mike, he'd
get everything and that scared the hell out of him.

*~*~*

Jamie turned off the shower and grabbed his towel from the
hook. He held the cloth up to his face and breathed into the thick material. Had
he and Kip really agreed to adopt a baby? It was insane. He wanted the baby but
he couldn’t shake the fear that rolled through him. What if he failed? The
shower room door opened and closed.

"Jamie you in here?" Kip called out.

"Yeah, second stall." The stall door opened. Jamie
pushed the curtain back, his fear still running high. Kip only wore a towel,
his body covered in a light sheen of sweat. Jamie gulped, his fear still
running high.

"Oh, babe, what's wrong?" Kip stepped close,
wrapping his arms around Jamie.

"I'm afraid."

"Of what?"

"What if we fail? What if I can't do this? What if the
baby grows up and hates us?"

"Sweetheart, we'll be good parents."

"You will be, but what if I'm not?" Maybe he should
call Liz and tell her he couldn’t do this.

"Hey." Kip took the towel away and hung it back up,
pushing Jamie up against the cold tile. He grabbed Jamie's hands and held them
over his head, sliding his knee between Jamie's legs, pressing in close with
his hips. Jamie was trapped and couldn't move. Kip's gaze searched his, the
intensity leaving him shaking. "Jamie, why are you doubting yourself like
this?"

"It's a huge responsibility."

"Yes it is. You can handle it."

"We'll have to move, but I'm foreman. What the hell am I
going to do about that?"

"We'll take it one day at a time."

Jamie leaned his forehead on Kip's shoulder. "I'm so
scared. It's a baby. We'll be parents of a baby. What if it's a girl? We're two
guys, what the hell will we do?"

Kip laughed then let go of Jamie's arms and tilted Jamie's
head up, kissing him hard. The small shower stall heated up as Kip touched and
teased Jamie's body, leaving him panting for more. Kip pulled out of the kiss
and stepped back. "I love you and I know you'll make a great dad. We both
have doubts."

"You have doubts."

"Please!" Kip blew out a breath and wiped his face
with his palm." I wonder if I'll end up boring the hell out of you after a
few years and you'll go back to women."

"What? I love you. That's crazy."

Kip placed his fingers on Jamie's mouth, cutting off his
ranting. "Yeah, but I still fear it. I think we need to be kept on our
toes. If you were all confident and not having doubts about the baby then I'd
worry."

"Do you have doubts?"

"Yeah, but I know that it's just nerves. I'm scared I'll
mess up. Nothing more. I want this baby. Funny, I didn't even know about it
before yesterday and now it's all I can think of. Last night, after we made
love and I was listening to you as you fell asleep, I thought about how wonderful
you've made my life. I mean, come on, I never expected to be a daddy and now
I'll be one." Kip bit his lip and glance away before turning back to
Jamie. "I cried."

Jamie cupped Kip's jaw. "You cried and I didn't wake
up?"

"No, but it was okay. I held you tight, loving how
perfectly you fit in my arms and I knew we could do it."

"How did I get this lucky?"

"I'm the lucky one."

They kissed, Jamie holding tightly to his man. Kip pushed him
up against the wall, breaking their kiss. He tossed his towel on the floor and
pinned Jamie with his gaze. "Wrap your legs around me."

Kip lifted him, helping Jamie to settle. Kip's dick was at
his hole. Jamie hung on tightly while Kip grabbed the tube of lube off the top
of the soap dispenser and spread it over his cock. He cupped Jamie's ass,
smearing some lube over his puckered hole.

Jamie lowered and Kip guided him. Kip breached his tight ring
and popped in. The position was different, leaving him gasping for breath as
Kip pumped him up and down. He shuddered, clenching his hole.

"Fuck," Kip cried out. His dick swelled inside of
Jamie.

They moved together, their breaths coming hard. Jamie tried
to hold off on his orgasm but he couldn’t. The next time Kip shoved in he came
fast and hard, his breath whooshing out of his lungs. Kip arched in hard,
gritting his teeth. Jamie loved the fierce look on his face as Kip's hot seed filled
him. They were both breathing hard, sweat slicking their skin. Jamie lifted and
Kip helped him off. They were both shaking as Kip turned on the water, the cold
spray hitting them both.

"Whoa, that's cold," Jamie yelped.

Kip just grinned and tweaked Jamie on the ass. "When are
we leaving for New York?"

"I was thinking about that. We can't leave while Lane
and Gresh are gone. We have to wait until they get back."

Kip narrowed his eyes. "You aren't trying to back out on
me?"

"Hell no, I'm the one that asked you to get
married."

"We'll do both, a fun traditional ceremony here and a
very legal one in New York. That way if the entire country ever recognizes our
marriage, we'll have the paperwork to back it up."

"I'm good with that." Jamie poured shampoo into his
hand and started washing Kip's hair. He enjoyed taking care of his guy. His
heart filled with love, giving him hope that he and Kip could make it.
"I'll talk to Lane and Gresh, find out when they are coming home. We'll
make arrangements to fly up to New York after they return."

"I like that, my husband. Damn, that sounds good."

Jamie stared up at Kip. "When we have the baby, I want
him to call you daddy."

Kip rinsed his hair and smoothed the water away from his
eyes. "What about you?"

"I don't care, I just want our child to call you daddy.
I can be papa or something else, but you're daddy."

Kip hugged Jamie tightly, his lips on Jamie's shoulder. He
may still have issues and doubts, but he could make it through anything with
Kip.

*~*~*

Gresh zipped his suitcase and slowly turned around, searching
the room for anything they might have left behind. The break in the Bahamas had
been amazing, giving them both time to relax. Of course he'd relaxed a bit more
than Lane had.

"Hey, big guy, you ready to go?" Lane bounded into
the room, the smile on his face contagious.

"No, let's move here and just lie on the beach all
day."

Lane's laugh filled the room. "You would hate it after a
while. You're too active and so am I. We'll come back next year when we have
the baby."

"I like that idea. We'll do a family trip."

"Let's go." Lane ran his hands over Gresh's back. "I'm
ready to talk to the adoption agency."

"It's cool that Kip and Jamie are getting married next
week. I'm glad they called us."

"I can't believe that they are going to adopt a
baby."

"Yeah, there will be a few kids on the ranch. Nice that
our kid will have someone to play with."

A knock sounded at their door and Gresh answered, admitting
the bellhop. "I hope your stay on the island was wonderful."

Gresh moved to Lane and wrapped his arms around his husband.
"Better than wonderful. We'll be back for sure."

"Excellent." The bellhop gathered their bags and
loaded them onto the cart.

Gresh took Lane's hand and led him out to the cart, sitting
next to him in the second seat. He looked back longingly at the bungalow as
they drove away. He would miss their little hideaway. They'd grown closer if
that was even possible.

The flight back to Texas was painless but when they arrived
home Gresh was ready for bed, a headache throbbing between his temples. Lane
said he was going to stay up, but Gresh still suffered from the effects of the
accident and knew not to push himself. He wanted to be well, but he didn't have
the energy and that worried him a bit. Lane was understanding, but he feared
when they finally had a child living with them, he may not be able to keep up.

Chapter Fourteen

Lane moved to the common room and began filling out the
adoption paperwork that had arrived while they were away. He hoped the process
went quickly. They were looking at doing a private adoption, which would cost
more but would take less time.

Gresh had been asleep about an hour when Lane heard him
scream. Lane rushed in, terror filling him. He flipped on the light and found
Gresh sitting up, his eyes wide and his mouth open.

"What's wrong? Babe, talk to me." Gresh clutched
the sheets and his head turned to where Lane was but the look in Gresh's eyes was
off. Lane rushed to the bed, taking Gresh's hand in his. "Gresh?"

"I-I can't see."

"What?"

"I know the lights are on, but there's something
wrong."

"Okay. Give me a second." Lane stood up then sat
back down next to Gresh. "I'm going to get you some clothes and then I'll
get one of the guys to help me get you out of the house. I'll drive you to the
hospital and we'll get this figured out."

"Lane."

"Yeah baby."

Gresh reached out, his hands fumbling over Lane's legs.

Lane grasped Gresh's hand, holding tightly.

"I'm so afraid," Gresh whispered.

Lane hugged Gresh close, kissing his forehead. "Babe,
we'll get this taken care of. I know it's tough but we can do this. I'm going
to get those clothes and call Michael."

"I love you." Gresh's brows were bunched, his lips
turned down in a frown.

"I love you too. Stay here, don't move. I promise I'll
take care of you."

Lane moved over to the small closet and pulled out a pair of
sweats for Gresh and a T-shirt. He picked up his phone to call Michael when a
knock sounded on his door.

"Who is it?" Gresh asked.

Lane pulled the door open, seeing Kip. "It's Kip."

"Hey, what's wrong?" Kip asked.

"Gresh can't see. We need to run to the hospital."

Kip accessed his full height. "I'll drive."

"Okay, I was going to get Michael," Lane said.

"Don't bother, I'll go with you and stay with you."

"Kip?" Gresh turned his head and Lane's heart broke
all over again. Lane didn't like how helpless Gresh looked.

"Hey Gresh, I'm right here." Kip went to the bed
and sat down next to Gresh, reaching for his hand. "We're going to help
you out to the truck and get you settled. I won't leave your side either until
we know what's up."
