NiKoh
threw back his head and laughed. “We may be older, but we’re certainly not dead
yet.” He cupped her face and
stroked her jawline.
“The only thing we can do is be there for them when OkVei returns to the
station. He will probably want to return every week, which is not going to
happen. They will be restricted to video calls until this final rotation of his
is up.

“GiNae
has no intention of joining him on the station. Heights scare her, so I predict
she’ll be more moody.” ViShe kissed him.

NiKoh
felt her arms slide around his body as his tongue slipped between her teeth. He
pressed her backward among the tangled b
lankets and
blindly reached beneath her skirt.

She
moaned and pushed his hand away.

I’m sore down there, ni’che’lo’vey

All right. I’m sorry I was so demanding
last night.

He
cupped her backside instead, pulling her toward his naked body.

Tonight?

Her
finge
rs gripped his cock.

How about an appetizer before breakfast?

NiKoh
smiled as she broke the kiss to kneel at his feet. Living with his Chosen
definitely had its perks.

The
decadent smell of
po’chi’fri
pancakes woke GiNae from a wonderful
dream.
Wait—there was another person in the bed with
her. With a start, she realized she was naked in bed with OkVei, his arm
clamped around her stomach.
My mother is already
awake!

She
tried to roll over, but his hand only slipped upward to cup her breast.

“OkVe
i,” she hissed, smacking his hand. “Wake up. Wake
up!

“Mmmm.”
The fingers around her breast stroked her nipple and she felt his lips tickle
her earlobe. “Morning. Aren’t you glad we did this?”

“You
were supposed to teleport to your room before my mother w
oke up.” Panicked, she tried to elbow him. “Will you stop
it?”

GiNae, enjoy your first morning. We will
talk later. There is no rush this morning.

Mortified
at hearing her mother’s words in her head, GiNae covered her eyes. “Oh no. She
knows.”

“See
there?
I told you everything would be fine.” She felt
OkVei’s hands leave her body as the mattress dipped.

GiNae
opened her eyes and rolled to her back as she watched his naked backside
disappear into her washroom. After he returned to the bed, she hopped up and
scurried inside, shaking. If her mother had spent the
night with NiKoh, then OkVei was right; no lecture would be forthcoming.
This was definitely a shift in the
entire household’s atmosphere. Would NiKoh still see her as his Domestic, or
would he elevate
her?
I
know there are childhood stories of Domestics becoming involved with their Head
of Households, but I’ve never heard of it actually happening! She told me to
enjoy this, and not to rush…does she mean…

After
washing her hands and scrubbing her teeth,
she
returned to her place beside him, grateful for his body heat.

“Hi.”
Suddenly shy, GiNae burrowed into the blankets while keeping her distance.

“Hi
yourself.” OkVei
scooted closer to her and pulled her
close, slanting his lips over hers.

GiNae
felt her
reservation slip away and pressed against
him, remembering the exquisite feel of his body next to hers.

One
of his hands cupped her backside while his legs tangled with hers. GiNae became
aware of his growing cock nudging the entrance to her womanhood and
broke the kiss.

“I’m
scared, OkVei. I’ve been told it will hurt.”

He
lifted one hand to smooth her hair behind her ear. “We’ll take it slow.” He
slid his tongue back into her mouth while his hand smoothed downwards over the
curve of her hip.

GiNae
felt
him raise her leg and settle it over his, then a
finger worked its way inside her body. She moaned and accepted it, remembering
the sensations from several hours before.

Oh yes…oh I like that…

He
pressed deeper, then rolled her to her back.

Oh my sweet GiN
ae…my
Ginaresh…I love the fact you’re so responsive and damp for me.

OkVei
rolled on top of her, then encouraged her to lift her hips. She felt his cock
poised at her entrance and tensed.

“OkVei?”

“Shhh…it’s
all right. Relax, and let me do this. You are my
Chosen, and I love you.” Placing her hand on his heart, he gripped it tight. “I
promise to never hurt you.” His whispered words of love caused tears to spring
to her eyes. “I love you.”

“Oh,
OkVei. I trust you.” She swallowed, looking into his dark eyes.
“I love you too.”

“Relax,
my
gi’che’lo’vey.
Breathe.”

GiNae
closed her eyes and willed her lower body to go limp, then felt OkVei’s cock
slip inside her entrance. At his sudden thrust, her eyes flew open as she felt
his movements deep inside, along with an
incredible
sense of closeness and desire for him. “Oh!”

OkVei’s
expression was one of bliss. “Oh GiNae…oh this feels even better than…oh yes…”
He drew back, and GiNae felt her body welcome him again.

“Oh
my…oh gods…OkVei…don’t stop…” She grabbed his shoul
ders
and held on as the knot of desire grew tighter.

His
moans grew with hers, and with a shout, he shuddered and collapsed against her.
GiNae felt her own legs shaking, and knew she’d experienced something
wonderful.

“Oh
OkVei…” She kissed his neck and sl
id her hands down
his sweaty back as she tried to catch her breath. “Gods, that was beautiful.”

I’m glad you enjoyed it. Your body feels
so good against mine. I love you so much.

Ok’che’lo’vey…

GiNae
wrapped both legs around the small of his back.

Oooh, sq
ueeze
me again like that.

You like that? Oh!

She
felt his cock rub the walls of her pussy, and rocked her pelvis against his.

OkVei
pushed himself up to look down on her, his eyes dark and intense.

“I
need a few minutes to recover, but if you keep that up
,
I’ll be hard again in no time.” His rough voice startled her. “Your body is so
tight, so willing, and so
mine.
” He closed his eyes.

GiNae
felt his lower body begin to move again, and this time a new sensation crashed
over her. “I can feel…you’re hitting
that spot
again…oh yes…don’t stop…” Several moments went by as she panted and sobbed as
the pressure built. She buried her head in OkVei’s damp chest and gripped his
arms, then let out a scream as she went limp.

“Ow.”
She opened her eyes to see him rubbin
g his bicep.
“Lesson number two learned. Don’t let you grab my arms as you’re climaxing. You
really love it when I rub your
chi
.”

“Did
I hurt you? I’m so sorry.” GiNae touched the spot where a bruise was forming,
and leaned up to kiss it.

“Here
I thought
I could take pain.” OkVei smiled and
withdrew from her body, flopping on his back beside her.

Feeling
a sudden loss in her lower body, GiNae curled up close to him. “I miss you
already.”

“I
know, but I don’t want you to get sore.” He cradled her in his arm
s just as a scratching noise sounded at the door. “What’s
that?”

Muffled
yelps sounded outside, then subsided.

“Mother
must have let SkiRee inside to feed him.” GiNae sighed. “I’d better get up. His
food is in here. I’d rather spend the day right here with
you.”

“I
have to leave.
Then we can talk by video and email
until my time on the station is up.”

“I
know. Did you mean it, a few minutes ago, when you said you loved me?”

“Of
course I did.” OkVei turned her face up to meet his. “Like I said before, I
think I’ve loved you since we were kids.” He kissed her in a tender fashion as
more scratching was heard at the door. “Now go take care of that
dogas
before he digs his way in
here.”

GiNae
pouted, then exited the bed and grabbed her robe, wrapping it around herself
before resetting the privacy control. Squinting in the sudden light, she bent
to pick up the wriggling ball of fur, feeling his warm tongue lapping her chin.

“I’m
sor
ry, GiNae.” Her mother paused beside the corner.
“I’ve tried to feed him, but he keeps returning to your door.”

“It’s
okay, Mother. I’ll feed him. Thank you for trying.” Avoiding ViShe’s eyes,
GiNae backed into the room and reactivated the privacy setting.
She turned up the lights and fed SkiRee, who growled at
the sight of OkVei, but then wagged his tail and trotted over to him.

SkiRee
returned when she had filled his bowl, then slurped his food.

“I
need to shower and dress, then get to the center.” GiNae
moved toward OkVei, who had pulled on his pants. “Will you
be here for dinner?”

“I
will see you tonight. I am headed over to my grandmother’s after breakfast, but
I will be back by the time your shift is ended.” He kissed her, gathered his
things, then pat
ted the
dogas
one more time. “I may even get used to
seeing him in the house.”

GiNae
smiled, reset the controls, and looked outside. “It’s clear.”

OkVei
kissed her once more, then teleported.

I’m upstairs, gi’che’lo’vey. See you
tonight.

GiNae
smiled, clos
ed her door, and went to take a shower.

Chapter Nine

Two
days later, NiKoh gripped ViShe’s hand as they teleported to his sister KiRah’s
house, where she lived with her Pre-Bond Mate, DaTil. He waited until OkVei and
GiNae arrived, then led the way
into the dwelling.

“NiKoh!”
KiRah ran across the room to hug him tight, then squealed in his ear, causing
him to wince. “OkVei! When did you arrive?” She let go and rushed around him to
grab her nephew.

NiKoh
shook his head to clear the ringing in his ear
s, then
picked up ViShe’s hand again, and walked toward his mother. He felt ViShe’s
hesitance and squeezed her fingers.

Relax.

I’m trying.

“Mother,
there has been a strange turn of events in my household.” He noted ReNei’s
silvery eyebrows lifted. Drawing
ViShe close to his
side, he added, “May I present ViShe SoJae, whom I am hoping will soon become
my mate.”

ReNei
lifted her hand and placed it over their joined ones. “I knew my son would soon
choose another.” She smiled and rose to her feet. “Welcome to
the House of SiLah, ViShe. NiKoh, have you spoken to
KiRah?”

“Not
yet. There is another announcement we have to make tonight, and mine can wait
until another time.” NiKoh and ViShe stepped to the side as the other couple
joined them.

“Grandmother,
may I pr
esent my Chosen, GiNae SoJae.” OkVei’s voice
held a touch of pride.

ReNei’s
smile lit up her face as she greeted the couple. “NiKoh, this is a joyous
occasion. You may make the announcement before we dine. Go, speak to your
sister.”

Leaving
the younger cou
ple with his mother, NiKoh ignored the
surprised looks on the members of DaTil’s family and made his way to KiRah’s
side. “Are you ready for a shock, Kee-ree?” He teased.

KiRah
swatted him. “Don’t call me that. Isn’t that ViShe’s daughter with OkVei?”

“Yes
. They want to announce their intention to Pre-Bond before
the festivities.” NiKoh drew ViShe’s arm through his elbow. “But that wasn’t
the shock I was talking about.”

KiRah
sucked in her breath, looked from NiKoh to ViShe, then back to her brother.
“You a
lso? Oh, NiKoh…are you sure?” She shook her
head. “Forgive me, that was a stupid thing to say. I’m so happy you’ve found
another.” Smiling, KiRah embraced ViShe. “Are you positive you want to put up
with my workaholic brother? Congratulations.”

NiKoh
turne
d and accepted two goblets from a passing
servant, then handed one to ViShe when KiRah released her. “Yes,
Kirachi
, I did not expect to find my next mate
already living under my roof.” He held out his goblet and quietly
clinked
it against ViShe’s. “Here’s
to good things in the coming year.”

“Do
you want to announce yours as well, NiKoh?” KiRah hugged him again.

“No.
Tonight is for GiNae and OkVei, and for overindulging in your wonderful
cooking.” NiKoh inhaled the delicious scent wafting from the kitchen. “
Do I detect the smell of Mother’s honey pastries?”

KiRah
nodded. “I’ve practiced nearly every recipe of Mother’s and Cook’s, so I hope
DaTil will forgive me in the coming months, when our meals aren’t so grand. Did
you hear about SaLie? She’s been assigned
a three
month deployment to the space station.”

NiKoh
blinked. “I thought she was staying on Xaxa with DuKah and her son.”

“No.”
KiRah lowered her voice. “DuKah has been promoted, and his duties are to
oversee the Xaxa side of the space station. He wants
SaLie
with him, but could only arrange a temporary position. There aren’t too many
uses for a full Medical team just yet.”

“I
hope she’s happy.”

“Me
too. I still can’t believe she’s willing to give up her child that way. I hope
to have many children after
our Bond is formalized.”

“You
will make a wonderful mother,
kirachi.
” NiKoh kissed her forehead. “Don’t you
think so, ViShe?”

“Yes
I do. KiRah spent many hours with me in the kitchen, and has turned into a fine
chef.”

KiRah’s
face flushed light blue. “You
were so good to me. Not
every Domestic would have tolerated a member of the household underfoot. Oh,
look, there is my friend TaMai and her parents. Excuse me.” She turned to greet
more arrivals.

“NiKoh,
there are some who think I am not welcome.” ViShe’s
forehead
wrinkled with anxiety.

“Don’t
worry. This is my sister’s dwelling, and she says you are welcome.” NiKoh
sipped his wine. “See? I told you my family would accept our pending Bond.
Come, let us greet everyone formally. If DaTil’s family is so close-
minded, then it is their loss, not ours.” NiKoh lifted her
hand to his lips, then led her around the room. “Did GiNae tell you about the
feud we uncovered?”

“Feud?
Between whom?”

“One
of the farmers complained about someone destroying his traps. Turned ou
t GiNae’s employer, RaKel, had sprung some of them near the
animal shelter, and set up a camera to find out who was setting them, not
realizing she was on JaHbo’s property. When we looked at the picture, it was
his neighbor, who wasn’t happy about a disput
e
settlement, and who decided to sabotage the traps. RaKel set the camera closer,
and we took the better picture to the authorities.”

“Men.”
ViShe pursed her lips and shook her head. “I can’t believe someone would try to
take away another man’s livelihood.

“Greed
only hurts the person who allows it to infiltrate their life.” NiKoh dipped his
head in greeting toward another couple. “Another thing I can’t stand is
hypocrisy. See that couple who avoided us? He’s fathered a child with a woman
on the other side
of town, but refuses to acknowledge
the woman in public.”

“His
mate doesn’t know?”

“Oh,
she knows all right. She’s made it clear if he goes near the woman or the girl,
she’ll take their three children to the other side of the planet and refuse to
let him
see them again, plus she’ll burn down his
shop in the Trade District.”

ViShe
gasped. “Can she do that?”

“She
has a temper, and he’s afraid of losing his family. I only know this because he
asked BeHah for advice, not knowing I was in the next room.” NiKoh
drained his goblet and motioned to a waiter for another.

“That
isn’t all.” ViShe waited until the waiter had moved on. “The wife is carrying
on with the bartender at one of the nightclubs. I’m friends with their
Domestic, and she caught RaNor kissing him i
n one of
the cafés. I thought she looked familiar.”

NiKoh
shook his head. “I promise to be faithful.”

ViShe’s
eyes watered. “NiKoh, you were faithful to BeSai all during her illness. Not
many men would not have sought comfort elsewhere in your situation.”
She placed her hand on his cheek. “You have been a fine
role model for your son.”

After
wiping away her tears with his thumb, NiKoh pressed a brief, gentle kiss to her
lips.

I hope
Kirachi
doesn’t mind if we leave the party early. OkVei doesn’t return to t
he station for three more days, but I am an impatient,
horny man at the moment.
He ended the kiss and watched a faint blush consume her
face.

When
KiRah signaled him, he led ViShe to his sister’s side, then cleared his throat
before clinking a spoon agains
t his goblet. “OkVei,
GiNae, could you join us please?” When the couple joined them, NiKoh continued.
“As we gather on this festive day, to celebrate the day Mother AnDoh created
our ancestors, I present my son OkVei and his Chosen, GiNae SoJae, who have a
sked to be Pre-Bonded.” He turned to the Elder who stood
beside KiRah. “RiKar, as Head of SiLah house, I ask your blessing on this young
couple as they begin their journey toward adulthood.”

RiKar
stepped forward after handing his goblet to KiRah and took
each of their hands in his. “OkVei, GiNae, I have had the
pleasure of watching you both grow up in NiKoh’s household, and therefore I
trust his judgment.” He raised his hand over their heads. “May this Pre-Bond
bring you happiness and joy, as you forsake a
ll
others in your journey toward a lifetime of togetherness. May Mother AnDoh
bless you on this day.” He dropped their hands and turned back toward everyone
else. “I have given my blessing for OkVei and GiNae to be Pre-Bonded. Please
join me in saluting th
e happy couple.” KiRah handed
his goblet back. “ViShe, NiKoh, does this Pre-Bond meet with your approval?”

“It
does.”

“GiNae,
OkVei, do you promise to work together as you enter this period of your
adulthood?”

GiNae
smiled as they answered together. “We do
.”

RiKar
raised his goblet. “We salute you.” He
clinked
his goblet against the young couple’s,
then against NiKoh and ViShe’s. “Welcome to the House of SiLah, GiNae.” He
smiled and stepped back to allow KiRah to greet the couple.

NiKoh
watched as ViShe wip
ed a tear from her eye. “Happy?”
he whispered in her ear.

She
nodded. “Very happy. I was afraid this would never happen.” She leaned against
NiKoh as he placed an arm around her waist.

KiRah
clapped her hands. “Let’s eat!” She and DaTil led everyone toward
the dining room.

“Shall
we?”
NiKoh offered his arm. “Joyous AnDoh
Festivas.”

ViShe
repeated it back to him. “With many more to follow.”
