A desire come true (The Never Changing Wish Book 1) (3 page)

“Brother, you know what you have to do, you know the power within. You must unleash it and win this fight. I'm counting on you.” He looks at me with a blank face and nods his head confirming what I said. I turn my sight at the opponents and stare them in the eyes.

         “Are you ready, Oliver?”

“I sure am, brother,” says with a low but determinate voice.

“Guys, let me explain the rules. We are playing in teams of course and the reps of the two will be combined for the end result. We are doing reps of 265. How many you can in one set. Okay?” I end my explanation and everybody seems to understand it.

“I am going to start so that you guys can watch me crush your hopes,” says Leon with a grin on his extra smug face. I return his grin with one of my own. He stares me in the eyes and after a couple of seconds he sits down and gets ready to do his set. He lifts the bar up and begins his reps. One, two, three ... six, seven … nine, and his done. Next is Zane. He seems more tired and I'm sure he can't do as many as Leon. He gets into positions and does only six reps. Okay, they got 15 in total. Pretty good but I think we can beat them.

“Lets see if you can do more, Noble,” says Zane looking down on us.

“Brother, you go first.” He gets ready and I start to count three, four, five, six and he barely makes it with the seventh. He gets up and I pad his shoulder. And now is my turn. I need to get at least nine reps to beat them. I look at Leon and I can see in his eyes that he starts to doubt his win on this. We got them now. I take my position, breathe deeply and go for it. Oliver is counting. One, two, three, four, five, six, I get the seventh, I struggle at the eight rep, I take a pause; I go for the ninth and amazingly I do ten reps. That’s 17 reps and of course we win. Zane is fucking pissed and Leon is disappointed. They look at us with a beat up face and admit their defeat.

“Good job guys, but don’t get to cocky, you will lose for sure the next one, I guarantee.”

“Yea, yea, we will see about that. Go and train some more, you sure are weak,” continues Oliver with a smile. After that, we end our workout, and head back home, tired as fuck, and in need of some good food. I drive this time and arrive home in 20 minutes. While parking the car I see another one, a grey Aston Martin, standing in the sun. It must be the twins, they are here. Damn, I hope that Zoe has made some cleaning, but I'm sure she didn’t do nothing, like usual. Damn. I get out of the car, open the front door and see one of the twins sitting on the couch, watching the news. It’s Gerald, chilling as ever, not giving a fuck about anything. Good to see him, but where is the sister? He turns his head and sees me. His face expression is almost invisible but I think it’s there.

“Gerald, good to see you, you look taller, but I must ask, where is your lovely sister?” He opens his mouth but before he says anything a voice echoes throughout the house.

“What is it with this house? Can't you manage to keep it clean! There will be some changes around here if I'm going to live in this place.”

“But of course my dear, all that you wish,” I say making a small bow. She looks at me and smiles. She walks toward me and give me a tight hug.

“Look at you, all dashing and handsome, I like your new style, it’s daring, but your sister is out of line, she can’t do nothing right. Well, not a surprise there, I always knew that you and your bigger brother are the pillars of this family. O look, the black sheep appears. Oliver, dear, how are you, still playing your little games?” She gives him a hug.

“Gloria, how nice of you to be so considerate, I already enjoy your presence here.” Oliver looks at me and his expression is one of a desperate man. I look back at him and explain that I can’t do anything. He admits defeat.

“Have you seen your room, my dear? I ask her with a smile on my face, hoping something, not sure what, to be honest.

“I have, and I must say that it is okay, better than the rest. But I will make some changes, yes?” she says looking at me with her blue eyes.

“But of course, you can do whatever you like with the room; it’s yours now, after all! Well, if you can make a list of the things you want to be changed, it would be great. Brother, make sure to make room for the twins car in the garage, okay? And now, I must take a shower, see you later, and make yourself at home, Gloria. I see your brother already did that!” I say with a loud voice and Gerald turns at me with a smile. After I leave the room, my brother catches up with me and says with a low voice.

“Why are you so indulgent with the twins, they are two arrogant bastards. Especially Gloria, and Gerald doesn't do anything to stop her.”

I check to see if anyone is around us and after I’m sure of it, I tell Oliver with the same low voice.

“They will stay here for a couple of mouths, so I can’t do anything about it. You know that in return they gave us the two million. We are dead without them, and you know that, don’t you?” I put my hand on my brothers’ shoulder and squeeze.

“It’s for the best, believe me. You must put up with them for a while, so brace yourself and don’t stay too much in the house!” He looks at me in disbelief but admits that I’m right. I leave him, and make my way to the bathroom. I take a shower and think about all the things that are on my head at the moment. After I’m done I remember the invite I made Alice accept. Invite to my brothers event, which is this Saturday. I shouldn’t have done that, damn. All kinds of people will be there, the ones you don’t like to involve yourself with. But I can’t tell her now not to come. In fact, I will go to her house and take her from there. Like a surprise. …my brother is right, I’m broken.

The twins have accommodated pretty well, but still it’s a lot of commotion and I need to go to Alice. It’s Friday morning. I know it’s a 1 hour drive but I don’t take anybody with me. I’m gonna do some meditating, listen to an audiobook. I get into my car, start my GPS and leave all the tension behind. 12 AM. Ten more minutes and I arrive at my destination. Well that was a boring drive. I wonder what she is doing at this hour. I finally get to her house. Nice house I must say. To big for one person. I knock at the door, and wait. Nothing. I knock again. Nothing. I knock a third time and after two fucking minutes someone opens. It’s not Alice. Well she’s hot anyway. Maybe she is her friend. She looks sleepy. Was she sleeping at this hour?

“Hi there, handsome, you got lost? Do you want me to help you? I can do that,” says the girl in front of me, looking into my soul with her electric green eyes. Her hair is black and straight. She's pretty tall as well. Perfect tan and big boobs. Perfect trophy girlfriend, I must admit.

“In fact, I’m looking for Alice. Can you tell her Levi is here?” I say this trying in the same time to dominate her in our eye fight.

“Look at that, you here for Alice? Funny, Levi. Levi, what a nice name! Liz! Come here, someone is here to see you!” she shouts.

“What, Liz? I’m here for Alice and you know that,” I say with a smile on my face. She tries to play me. Not gonna work. In a moment, another black hair girl comes at the door, but with eyes black as her hair.

“Hi,” she says with a shy smile. She gazes at me for a couple of second and then asks me where I meet her.

“Actually, I’m here for Alice.” I try to say it as nice as I can.

“What? Lola, you are a bitch as always,” says Liz while turning and leaving me with the devil.

“Sorry about that, my sister is not that smart, so who are you looking for again, I forgot.” She grins at me and puts a hand on my chest.

“I think she is smarter than you, and I’m tired of your games.”

“What, you don’t want to know me better? A innocent little girl in need of a tall, handsome and fit man.” I look at her and I know she is bullshiting. I take her hand of my chest and ask her one more time if I can see Alice. She acts sad and calls for her. Finally at last the one I was looking for comes at the door. She looks messy, but still very hot. When she sees me, her eyes get big and her mouth drops. She looks at Lola for a second and then turns to me with a smile.

“Levi, what are you doing here? And how do you know where I live?” she asks me examining every inch of my face.

“Have you forgot, tomorrow is my brothers event,” I say watching her every little move.

“What event, OMG, Alice, and you didn’t tell me? How could you! Where is at, Levi?” Lola asks with a big smile on her face, clearly more exited than Alice.

“Well, as I’ve already said to Alice, the event is tomorrow but I’ve come today because, and I forgot to mention this, the event moved to London.”

The two couldn’t have more different of a reaction. One is happy like it’s her birthday and the other is depressed. Not good, damn.

“Can I come inside, the sun is killing me,” I ask.

“Sure, please, come in. This is our lovely house, where the four of us live,” says Lola with beaming eyes and waving hands. It is a normal house, nothing special but it has a nice feeling to it, a nice vibration. I think it’s normal when four girls live under its roof. Wait, four? I’ve seen only three, so where is the fourth.

“You said four, but I’ve seen only three of you guys. Where is the fourth?” I ask looking straight at Alice but as always, Lola answers the question. Apparently she is not here at the moment, so that’s that.

“Sit, sit, and let me get you a drink, some whiskey, yes?” she says leaving me and Alice alone in the room. I think to myself, isn't it too early for alcohol. Anyway, I can talk with Alice now.

“Hey, nice to see you again,” I tell her with a shy smile. She looks at me through her long lashes, trying to hold my gaze, which she easily does. I move in my seat and wait for her response.

“So do I, but how did you know where to come?” she says breaking the eye contact.

“Actually, it was easy, I just asked Mr.Adams, like a favor, you know, and he happily oblige. I wink at her and she rolls her eyes.

“I found some vodka, sorry, but it’s good anyway. Here take a glass, Levi, and Alice, you want one, no, ok, but I still will be drinking from the bottle,” says Lola with a loud voice. She sits right next to me on the couch, and starts cuddling like I was a huge bear or something.

“What are you doing, Lola, don’t you have no shame?” says Liz entering the room, changed and looking fresh. She is beautiful, like her sister. But I think she is younger. One year I suppose, can’t be more.

“OMG, what is the problem, stop telling me what to do, besides, Levi, tell me, you don’t like it? Don’t tell me you are gay. Well, as good as you are, it is a possibility. I’ve always thought that gay guys look better than straight, I’m I right?”

I move my eyes from Liz to Alice and I can see that this is normal when it comes to Lola, but I imagine that they don’t want me to think of her in this way. Too late for that and in fact I don’t dislike her. I find it pretty entertaining and mood lifting.

“Alice, what do you think, will you come with me to London? Of course the flight and all will be on me,” I tell her trying to convince her with my face expressions.

“I don’t know, it’s to far away, and me all alone just with you, I can’t,” says Alice with a low voice. She looks at me with a sad face, apologizing for her answer.

“Don’t say that, girl. Levi, this is how it will be. If I and the rest of us can go with Alice, then she will accept, ok? And you will pay for it, you seem a rich guy, actually I'm pretty sure you are one, am I right?”

“I am,” I admin without thinking about the fact that now I need to take all of them with me on this trip. “If that is what it takes to make you come with me, then I accept this agreement. Alice, yes?” I ask trying to catch her eyes. She turns at Lola and then to Liz, that is quite excited, maybe she likes the UK, I don’t know. After a couple of seconds of silence, she opens her mouth and says: no. It takes me a second to realize what she said. This is stupid. The girls gloom instantly.

“Joking, joking, I will go, if my ladies come with me, of course.”

“That’s my girl,” says Lola with a big smile on her face, clearly happy for the decision she took.

“Perfect, the flight is tomorrow morning; I will come with my brother to take you to the airport.”

After this, Lola asked something about my brother, I said goodbye, got a couple of compliments for my new car, and then took off, heading home. In the car, I call my brother.

“Three more tickets, Oliver, first class. I expected this to happen but I wasn't completely sure, as I told you. See you at home.”

Chapter III

“Can you believe what just happened?” I ask the girls while I walk

to the kitchen to take a glass of water.

“I sure do, and I think it’s a good thing. Besides, what have you have done this weekend anyway? Going to London, free, is the best thing to do, if you ask me,” says Lola putting the bottle of alcohol on the table and taking a sit on a comfortable looking chair.
