A Love for all Ages (Crockett County Trilogy Book 1) (18 page)

Stephanie moans while she
raises her hips from the
mattress, her body begging for more.
Sliding his hands under her
buttocks he lifts her up to meet his mouth, he continues to lick the
core of her essence tasting her wetness, Stephanie pushes up on her
elbows watching him.
Moving to find the spot he desires his teeth
begins to nibble her erotic button.
As feelings of fire explode
within her she flops back on the bed groaning loudly.
Chase
removes his hands from under her, using one hand he rubs the area
just above where his mouth is busy sucking, and with his other
hand, he slips two fingers deep inside her womanhood.
Feeling
her hot and wet, he sets the rhythm faster, concentrating all his
techniques he increases the pace.
Her hips are now meeting the
thrust of his fingers.
Continuing his magic with his hands, he raises
his head, “Come on Honey, you need to let go.”

Feeling as if her whole body is on fire, she moans, “Chase, I
want you inside me, I need you inside me.”
Her body is wet with
sweat, her desire for him growing deep inside her.

Smiling Chase feels her muscles tighten around his fingers;
he can tell she is almost ready.
Sliding his fingers out, Chase
stands up gazing down at Stephanie waiting for him; he sees her
eyes darken with passion.
Chase removes his boxer shorts then
sits on the side of the bed; he takes the box of condoms from the
night stand.

Stephanie scoots across the bed wondering what Chase is
doing, seeing him tearing open a package, she takes it from him,
looking down she see him erect and ready. Moving from the bed
Stephanie kneels in front of Chase, laying the open package on the
night stand, she looks up at him, “My turn.”

Stephanie wraps her hand around his erection then bending
forward slides her mouth down over his shaft.
He grabs her head
as she works her mouth up and down, hearing his throatily groan
she continues stroking his shaft with her mouth and hand.
Feeling
his erection getting harder, Stephanie uses her tongue sliding it up
and down the length.

Chase’s hands tighten into fist as he endures the sweet
torture she gives him.
Not sure how much longer he can hold out
before he explodes, he grabs Stephanie by her shoulders and moves
her away from him.
Breathing heavy Chase reaches for the
condom, Stephanie takes the packet from him as she slides the
protective sheath down over his shaft slowly he moans at her touch.

Clearing his throat he groans, “You have to hurry; I am going
to perish if you take any longer.”
Smiling up at him, Stephanie
raises standing in front of him, Chase glides her forward, and having
her straddle him as he glides her down over his shaft he feels her
wetness surround him.
Chase lifts Stephanie’s hips up then glides
her back down setting a fast rhythm.
Aware his release is coming,
Chase stands with him still buried deep inside her, turning he lays
her on the bed.
Bracing himself with his hands he stares into her
dark sapphire eyes, they are filled with her own desire; a yearning
matching his. Working his hips he thrusts deeper insider her,
giving her his full erect shaft.
Over and over he thrusts as her hips
match his movements.

Moving her hands to his shoulders Stephanie digs her
fingernails into his skin as her body trembles with her release,
experiencing Chase’s release simultaneously with her.
Lying under
him, Stephanie feels his muscles begin to relax.
Sliding her hand
from Chase’s shoulders she lightly rubs his chest.

Bending forward Chase kisses Stephanie lightly on her
voluptuous lips.
He knows he should move however he wasn’t
ready to break their connection.
Smiling down at her, Chase wraps
his arms around Stephanie’s back, holding her close he rolls over on
his back taking her with him.

Laughing Stephanie finger combs her hair away from her
face.
Repositioning so her elbows are on his chest, she rests her
chin in her hands watching him.
Chase opens one eye and sees
Stephanie staring at him.
Smiling he closes his eye, “You have
worn me out.”

Stephanie quietly laughs, “I feel like I have done three hours
of Zumba without a break.
You are definitely great for a work
out.”
Using her hands she pushes herself into a sitting position.
With his shaft still inside her, Stephanie pulls her legs up allowing
her feet to rest on the bed.
Folding her arms across her knees
Stephanie rests her chin on her arms.
Getting comfortable she
sees Chase smile.

Chase opens his eyes placing his hands behind his head.
Surveying her sitting on top on him, “You are very limber.
This
information may come in handy.”
He laughs at her expression of
shock.
Realizing he needs to take care of the condom, Chase
moves his hands, placing them under her arms; he lifts her up
allowing their connection to break.
Rolling Chase places her on the
bed. He plants a kiss on Stephanie’s belly as he rises walking to the
bathroom Chase asks over his shoulder, “How do you feel about
handcuffs?”
Hearing Stephanie laugh; Chase smiles as he
continues walking.

When he comes out of the bathroom Stephanie is asleep.
Curled up in a fetal position, she is facing his side of the bed.
Chase stands looking down at her, they are good together.
Does
she know he is in love with her?
Could she tell when he made love
to her?
He feels her love for him, has she admitted to herself her
feelings? Lifting the covers Chase slides onto bed; he cuddles her
close as he drifts off to sleep.

Opening her eyes, Stephanie hears the water running in the
shower.
Stephanie decides to join Chase, rising from the bed, she
walks to the bathroom, opening the door she sees Chase standing at
the sink shaving.
He turns watching as Stephanie moves to the tub
and steps into the shower.
“Since you are busy I will shower first.”
Stephanie yells above the sound of the running water.

Chase rinses the razor, after shaking off the excess water he
puts it in the cabinet.
Moving to the tub Chase pulls back the
shower curtain staring as Stephanie turns towards him.
Stephanie
is washing her hair she moves aside to give him room.
Chase steps
into the tub, pulling the curtain closed as the water streams down
his body.
Picking up his soap he kisses Stephanie, moving to allow
her access to the water so she can rinse her hair.

Their shower lasted longer than either had planned, with
mutual agreement, they had washed each other.
As they soaped
each other, the washing stopped and the foreplay had started.
When the water had started cooling down, they had called it quits.
Quickly toweling dry, they then dressed in casual clothes.
Both
wearing jeans and t-shirts, Stephanie choose a pale blue t-shirt and
Chase picked a hunter green color one.

Chase is putting on his jogging shoes when they hear the
doorbell. Looking up at Stephanie he tells her, “You do your hair.
I will go answer the door.”
Done with his shoes, Chase walks to
the door, turning he adds, “Come down when you are ready.”
Winking, he walks out the door.

Chase moves to the front door; he pulls the curtain aside to
check who is visiting.
Surprised when he sees a man in uniform; a
stranger.
A man he knows will upset Stephanie.
Taking a deep
breath he opens the door, “Hello, you must be Detective Rogers, I
am Sheriff Chase Peterson.”
He extends his hand; the Detective
gives a quick handshake.

Clearing his throat he says, “Call me Andy.”
Sensing he is
being sized up, he just waits.
While he waits Andy observes his
surroundings.
Deciding the Sheriff has had enough time, he clears
his throat again.
“May I come in?”

Stepping back Chase opens the door wider to allow the
Detective to enter the house.
As Andy steps inside the foyer,
Chase hears a gasp.
Turning he sees Stephanie standing on the
stairs.
Both men look up at her, waiting.

Stephanie stares at the new comer, he is almost as tall as
Chase and has similar built.
He has reddish brown hair.
From
where she is standing she can’t see the color of his eyes.
Realizing
she is staring, Stephanie starts slowly down the stairs.
She begins
forcing one foot at a time to step down; concentrating on this
simple task otherwise she knows she would run back upstairs.
Glancing at Chase she sees his concern, the stress he feels due to
her tenseness.
Knowing he will be there with her, Stephanie
straightens her shoulders as she finishes the descent with a slight
smile on her lips.
His strength will give her the willpower to get
through this situation.
Chapter 6

Both men sitting at the kitchen table are engaging in small
talk.
Stephanie is busy making coffee, as the coffee pot starts
peculating she decides to put some cookies on a plate.
She has a
box of chocolate chip in the pantry. Personally, she didn’t want
any, but the men may.
At this time, if Stephanie tried to eat her
stomach would not handle it well.
When the coffee finishes she
pours three cups, putting them on a tray with the cookies, sugar and
milk.
Having found the matching sugar and cream pitcher in the
cupboard she elects to use them, figuring her Mother would be
proud of her for full filling her hostess duties.

Picking up the tray Stephanie carries it to the table.
Chase
rises taking the tray from her placing it in the center of table, then
he pulls Stephanie’s chair out for her to be seated.
She passes a
cup to each man then takes the remaining one for herself.
Each
fixes their own coffee to their taste.

Stephanie feels her nerves getting tenser; not able to
continue with the pretense of this visit she turns to the Detective.
“What do you need to ask me Detective Rogers?”
Stirring her
coffee, Stephanie sits quietly waiting for him to answer.

While Stephanie waits she observes the Detective is older
than Chase, not much maybe four or five years.
His eyes are pale
green and his brows are thick over his eyes.
His jaw is firm and
square, his nose has evidence of being broken several time is
crooked.
Thinking he wasn’t bad looking, he just looked hard.
As
if he had seen too much harshness and has forgotten how to live.
Realizing she is comparing the Detective to Chase she glances across
the table at Chase, seeing him watching her, Stephanie smiles then
turns her attention back to Detective Rogers.

Detective Rogers retrieves a small notebook and pen from
his pocket, looking up he responds, “Please call me Andy.”
Flipping
open the book he becomes totally profession. “Miss Tuney, Sheriff
Peterson informed you the circumstances concerning your brother’s
death.”
Seeing her square her shoulders he adds, “I am sorry to do
this, however I need your help.
I need to find the person or
persons responsible for his death.” Breaking eye contact he
glances over at Chase.
Chase nods his head, a signal for him to
continue.
“I do realize this is difficult for you, but I need to ask you
some questions.”

Still stirring her coffee, Stephanie nods her head.
“I will do
my best to help you, Detective….I mean Andy.
And you can call me
Stephanie.” Releasing the spoon, she reaches for Chase’s hand.
Chase takes her hand in his, giving it a light squeeze.
The contact
with Chase gives her the strength and courage to face the questions.

Watching Stephanie, Andy starts speaking, “After the phone
call from Sheriff Peterson, I checked with the coroner about Mitch.
I had her run another blood screen panel and requested a hair test.
His blood from evidence showed no long time drug usage, his hair
sample also showed no drug usage. After reviewing the scene
photos I concluded your brother’s death was staged to look like an
accident.”
Glancing quickly at Chase and then back to Stephanie
he continues, “When the facts of your “accident” came to light, my
Captain and I knew then I was investigating a murder not a fatal
drug induced over dose.”
Seeing the pain in her eyes he stops
talking, allowing her to absorb this information.
He realizes he has
given her a lot to consider.

Clearing his throat Andy begins speaking again, “I did some
research on your Great Aunt Della Cain’s will.
Did you know that
this property was left to Mitch?”
At her intake of breath, he adds,
“You were named the beneficiary for Mitch’s will, so this property
was added to your inheritance.”
He stops to allow her to process
this.

Chase informs the Detective, “You are mistaken, Della’s
estate attorney told me, told the whole town the property was
coming to Stephanie, he had been searching for her for three
years.”
Giving Stephanie’s hand another squeeze, he continues,
“Brett Miller told us there was only one person listed as heir to the
will.”

Confused Stephanie looks from Chase to Andy, “When Mr.
Miller came to visit he said he had a difficult time locating me, due
to my last name.”
This didn’t feel right, she was missing
something.
“What is going on?
I don’t like this, don’t like it at
all.”
Turning to Chase she adds, “Why is this happening?”

“I have a copy of the will.
I can prove what I saying is true.”
As he speaks Andy flips through the files in his brief case.
Pulling
the papers out, he slides them across the table to Chase.
Andy
leans back in his chair allowing Chase to read the will.
Picking up
his cup he takes a drink of the coffee, watching as Stephanie leans
over to read with Chase.
He observed them unnoticed.
They are
involved, may already be lovers. His police instinct told him
Stephanie was innocent in this mess.
He trusted his instincts; they
had saved his life on several occasions.
Not sure of the complete
situation here, he is concerned for her safety.
Andy watches as
they lean closer to each other, do they know yet they are in love, or
is it just easy for him to see.
