Chapter Nineteen

When they got home she went to change, and that’s where he found her, in her red underwear, sound asleep. He watched her breathe and touched her red hair. She was a beautiful woman; soft, feminine, and brilliant. He sometimes wanted to slap himself hoping this all wasn’t a dream, and he was going to wake up.

He undid the covers to the bed and picked her up.

“No, no, I’m okay. Please, Sir.”

“Shh, baby, you’re exhausted. Big day for you tomorrow, and me. Sleep.”

“But you’ll be away for five days. I’ll miss you.”

“In the morning, I promise.”

“Yes, in the morning,” she repeated and fell back to sleep.

He covered her, undressed, and then grabbed a flannel robe. He went into the kitchen for a can of beer and then off to his small office alcove. There, he sat drinking his beer and sorting out the next few days ahead of him.

He wanted to make sure Shauna would be okay. She’d be back at her own apartment for the next five days. He wanted her with him.  He wondered why it took him so long to realize that.

He opened his laptop and checked his email. He’d done a complete background check on Abuto and a physiological work up. Typical mob member, nothing outstanding. But what now bothered him was this Ahbeeb character. He knew this guy was sniffing around Shauna and wanted more than just to do business with her.

He opened up the various background check programs and was surprised when nothing out of the ordinary showed. There wasn’t much information on him, and what they had was benign.

He felt better. She was a smart woman, a brilliant business woman, and had pretty good instincts, which now brought him to Trey. From the first handshake, he surmised more was there … less flaming and far more cunning.

Again, after checking him out, nothing significant showed except a few misdemeanors, traffic violations, but nothing earth shattering. Satisfied with what he’d found out about the two men who might be a threat to Shauna, he sat back. His hand went to his cock. In spite of the workout last night, he was horny. Damn cock was already hard, and this was no morning wood.

He closed the laptop and rubbed his cock again. He did promise her in the morning. But this morning what he really wanted was to bury his cock deep inside of her and hold back for as long as he could.

He removed his robe and slid his naked body into the bed next to her. She snuggled up to him.

“You thought I was asleep, didn’t you?” she cooed.

“No matter,” he answered her. “I was going to wake you up. I’d never fuck you while you were sleeping. I want you fully awake.”

“Oh, Dominic, I am fully awake, and feel me, I’m already wet.”

His hand slid down her belly to her cunt, and he slipped a finger inside her. Oh, she was ready, and he didn’t want to waste a drop of her juices.

“On your back, little lady, and spread ‘em,” he growled.

“Oh, yes,” she squealed.

His head dipped to her breasts, and he sucked the tip of each mound to a firm bead. Then he let his tongue snake around them, over and over again, letting her squirm, knowing how sensitive her tits were.

He threw the covers off them and spread her thighs wide, enjoying the sight of her glistening pussy. He took his cock in his hand and slid into her. He let himself go as deep as he could then took her mouth and kissed her deeply.

Her hands came to his neck, touching the hair at the nape.  “Fuck me hard,” she said against his lips.

He answered her with a deep thrust then another and another. He labored hard, pulling his cock out and plunging himself back in. It was fucking maddening. Each time he buried himself he had to hold back, his mind screaming to cum.

As he pulled his cock from her he watched her face, and then he saw her bite her lip. She was ready. He gave her one last thrust grinding his cock into her mound, hoping he found her clit.

“Jesus Christ,” she screamed and took a deep breath. Her body ached, and he followed her as his cock jerked several times, pouring his hot seed into her.

He took a labored breath and let his body relax on top of hers.

“Oh, God,” she whispered. Dominic, it’s not fair. So many women crying, wanting orgasms, and here I am so damn satisfied.”

“Baby, you’re lucky. You let go, allowing yourself to have an orgasm. So many women don’t.”

She smiled at him. “Dominic, that wasn’t always the case. It’s you.”

“No, it’s us. Sure, I came plenty of times before with my ex-wife. It was a natural body function. Satisfying? Gratifying? Not always. Sometimes she made me feel she was doing me a huge fucking favor. I could tell she got nothing out of the act. That, baby, took the pleasure right out of any climax.”

He rolled onto his side, taking her body with his, allowing his cock to stay in her.

“I guess we both had meaningless relationships before. What we have now is far more intense, deeper. I have never felt this close to any man, or to anyone.”

He scanned her beautiful face. How she looked in the glow of the aftermath of her orgasm was breathtaking. So complete, so natural, so fulfilled, as a woman should be after lovemaking. It awed him to think that he put that glow on her face.

He kissed her lips softly, knowing he had to get up and get ready.

“Baby, I have to pack. It’s killing me that I have to be away from you for five days. But this was the lesser of two evils, at least I’m not far.”

‘Oh, and if you’re close, does that mean you’re still here in NY?”

He grinned. “Can’t say.”

“Of course not. Okay, up and at ‘em. Let me help you pack.  I know the routine.” She said then kissed his cheek.

Chapter Twenty

“You know, Nick, you were a ballbuster when we were younger. Now you’re an even bigger one. What the fuck is wrong with you?”

“What, you going soft on me now?” Abuto said.

“When I read your fucking bio and arrest records, are you kidding me? You’ve been credited with seventeen kills. Christ.”

“That’s hearsay,” Abuto said, eating his piece of pizza.

Collins, his partner on this case, spit his Coke. “Hearsay, fucking hearsay. I suppose the bodies that turned up were hearsay too.”

“There is no proof that I had anything to do with those kills. But I do have some very incriminating information concerning a wide range of other kills.”

“Nick, you better have plenty of proof, and I’m hoping you’re going to give us some big names.” Dominic said.

Abuto sat back, and Dominic could see he was unexpectantly thoughtful.

“What’s making those wheels turn? Did I say something that may have clicked?” Dominic asked.

“No,” Abuto said. “But I did see something, a meeting. You know we do business now all over the world.”

“Yeah, how fucking wonderful,” Dominic said.

“Well, that started with the drug dealing in the seventies, us reaching out to other countries, especially Columbia. Recently, and over the last few years, there’s a new business hitting the states.”

“Are going to make us guess or are you going to share?” Dominic said, eating an apple.

“I’ll say this. I have kids, one of them is a daughter. I’m on her ass all the time to be careful, lock her car doors, keep mace in her pocketbook, and be watchful when she walks around campus late at night.”

Dominic didn’t like the sound of what Abuto was referring to.

“You think your friends will hurt your family? That is a possibility and why the department relocated them. It’s our job to protect them also.” Dominic said, leaning back on a large couch in the suite where they were keeping Nicholas Abuto.

“I know that, but even in bum fuck USA there are nasty entities preying on pretty young women. Come on, Dom, you know the Middle East and its different way of living. Those rich sheiks still have harems, and they have the money to pay the price for a healthy young American woman. Once taken, they don’t have a prayer in hell of ever seeing their families again.”

“You’re talking about human slave trading. Funny you should bring that up. Are you and your gumbas involved in a little skin trading? I’ve seen lows by your kind, but this would be an all-time one.” Dominic could feel the heat rising. His cheeks were warm. He was getting angry. Really angry.  “If that’s the case, I need to know who and what family.”

“Hey, prostitution’s one thing, but we’re not involved in that shit. We have pride and some code of ethics.”

Collins burst out laughing. “You’re fucking kidding, right? A code of ethics. You guys scare the shit out of me. Code of ethics my ass. I need a cigarette.”

Dominic sat there thinking. “Tell me what have you heard, Nick.”

“About the skin trading?”

“Yes, my girlfriend has a dress shop, only deals in designer clothing, and she’s doing quite well. A few weeks ago a new business associate showed up, some Arab named Ahbeeb Saheeb Dinar. I checked him out. Nothing. Ever hear of him?”

Dominic watched Nicholas Abuto’s face. He didn’t like the way he averted his eyes from Dominic. He’d definitely heard the name before.

“Spill it, Nick. What have you heard?”

“Your girlfriend, she a looker?”

“Yeah, un-fucking-believable. Let’s say she’d never give you a second look, or any of us. How she wound up with me …”

“I get your meaning. This guy likes ‘em seasoned, and exotic or unusual; you know, the natural redhead or true blonde, and the sexy raven haired ones …”

“Ah, fuck,” Dominic said, getting up and pacing the floor.

“Whoa, I’m not sure if he’s part of this skin thing. I do know he has a few wives, and they’re top notch. The guy’s got money coming out of his ass. These women aren’t stupid. They fuck him maybe twice a month and live like friggin’ queens.”

“Then how the hell do you know of him?”

“Funny thing …”

Dominic was at his throat. “Nothing you have to say is funny. Now tell me how the hell you know of him.”

“He needed to launder some money here in the states. You know, one inquiry leads to another then another, and it wound up in Tolino’s hands. Tony helped him out. Got his wife some amazing clothes. That’s all. I don’t think the guy’s bad.”

“Launder money? Where the hell did he get the money he needed laundering in the first place?”

“How the fuck do I know!” yelled Abuto.

Dominic tightened his hold on the gangster. “Drop the,
I’m stupid act.
If Shauna is in any danger I need to know, and now. If you lie to me, I don’t give a shit about anything but her safety right now, everything is shit, you got it. So if you know you better spill your fucking guts.”

Abuto leered at Dominic. “Funny, you don’t like it one bit when it affects you personally, do you?”

“Goddammit, Nick, I’ll kill you. I swear I will but not before you tell me what you know.”

“Like I said, I’m not sure what he’s into, maybe acquiring new wives. I heard he has a ten inch dick.”

“That’s it,” Dominic said and punched him in the face, knocking him to the floor.

Collins, who was in the bathroom smoking, ran over, throwing his cigarette in the bathroom sink. “Hey, Dom, stop. Stop it, man, he’s just pushing you. We’ve been cooped up too long together. Christ, man, stop.” Collins yelled, holding Dominic back.

“I gotta get out of here,” Dominic yelled.

“Dom, Dom …” Collins said, holding him against the wall by the shoulders. “I’ve never seen you lose it. I’m sure Shauna’s okay.”

Abuto was up on his knees trying to stop the flow of blood from his split lip. “Fuck. I’ll make sure you get punished for this. You’re supposed to be protecting me. What the fuck is this?”

“Tell me what you know, shithead. Now.” Dominic was free of Collins and helping Abuto to his feet. “Mmm, I hit you pretty hard.” Dominic said, rubbing his knuckles. Two other deputies walked into the room. “We heard you two. What’s going on?” One said, grinning, looking from Abuto to Dominic.

“Nothing,” Abuto said within seconds of their inquiry. Abuto smiled. “Fell.”

“Yup,” said the other deputy. He turned toward Dominic. “We’ll be inside if you need our help. Carney’s at the hotel door just in case.”

“Sure, but I think it will be fine.” Dominic said, already feeling the heat lower inside of him.

Collins handed Abuto a wet hand towel. “Now talk,” Dominic said.

“Here’s what I heard. The guy has an obsession with beautiful women. He has the money to buy what he can’t have. So far he’s only bought two slaves, a blonde and an auburn beauty. I hear they’re young but over eighteen. He says he’s not into children.” Abuto held the towel to his lip, checked for blood then put it back. “Sick mother fucker.  They’re over the age of eighteen, so he thinks what he’s done is okay.” Abuto stopped then looked up at Dominic. “Your girlfriend a redhead?”

“Yeah …”

“Natural?”

“Yeah.”

“Fuck that must be something, nice red snatch …”

“Do you need me to punch the other side of your lip?”

“No, fuck, Esposito, this girl must be important. I’d make sure she’s never with that mother fucker alone.”

“He’s in Saudi Arabia. Won’t be back until my time with you is over.”

“Saudi Arabia? I heard he was in L.A. at some celebrity party.”

Dominic had experienced physical pain before, but this, the rending in his chest was like nothing he’d ever suffered. The thought of anything happening to Shauna drove him crazy. Somehow, he had to get in touch with her. He checked his watch. 12:30 p.m. Thursday. He had two more days left of torture this week then he was off for two days. He wondered if it would be easier to have her meet him in Jersey or get her out of New York for a few days. That also meant her leaving the shop in one of her employee’s hands, and she hated to do that.

Dominic felt like his hands were tied.

“Hey, Dom,” Abuto said. “You look like you’re going to jump out of your skin.”

Dominic didn’t want to hit him again. He had one more night and day to get through then he’d take Shauna to a safe place until this god damn assignment was over.
