Chapter Twelve

Dominic despised the mafia. It made decent Italian-Americans look bad. Times had changed drastically over the last twenty years where organized crime was concerned. Organized crime was big business now, but they still did all their business the very same way they’d been doing it for two hundred years; illegally.

The city had been quiet for years, and then war ensued. The NYPD would have loved to let them kill each other off, but they needed to do their job.  Eight bodies had turned up in the last two weeks with bullet holes in the back of their heads. The assassinations were straight out of Gangland. In a case like this, law enforcement was always looking for the one who would turn state’s evidence. There was always one with a great deal to lose.

It never failed. One of them always came forward, and Nicholas Abuto did, throwing his syndicated family under the bus. He was ready to blow the whistle on a few big names they’d been trying to put out of commission. Nicholas Abuto said he knew him.

His cell phone rang. “Dominic,” said his inspector. “I have a witness asking for you, says he knows you.”

“Abuto, yeah I know the scum bag. We both grew up in Hell’s Kitchen. So? What the fuck does he want?”

“He’s turning state’s evidence, and he needs protection until the trial.”

“Christ, he asked for me? Goddammit, I really don’t want this assignment.”

“You don’t have to do this. I just thought I’d run it past you. We’ve plenty of other men who we can get to protect his ass.”

The door to Dominic’s office opened. It was Williams. He clicked his phone off. “Thought it was easier if I just came down to see you. Glad I did. You look pensive.”

Dominic thought it over. If he didn’t take this assignment, it was possible he’d be given one as far away as California. This one was closer to home, and it would let him stay in New York with Shauna.” Ah, fuck. I’ll take the assignment. We have a number of safe houses in the tri-state area. Are we keeping him here in New York?”

“No, in Jersey. Here is far too dangerous. We need him close, and we have a place in the Palisades we can keep secure.” Williams said, taking off his tie. “Damn things drive me crazy,” he mumbled.

“I’ll do it. I want to stay in the area. There’s a certain lovely redhead that has me by the balls, and I rather like it,” Dominic said, grinning broadly.

“I’ve seen her. She could have mine too. Lucky man,” Williams said.

“You’re a married man. Your balls are already in a vice,” Dominic said, patting him on the back.

“Yeah, but my vice looks nothing like yours,” Williams said, hitting the speed dial on his phone. “I’ll call this in and get that pussy, Abuto, moved. We’ll have six men with him at all times. You’ll take turns. There are different ways in and out. It will all be programmed into your phones and tablets. You’ll each have a password to access the directions daily. ”

“How long are we going to babysit this piece of shit?”

“Two weeks. He was smart. He waited to come forward. He’s divorced with two older kids. He’s not what I’d call father of the year, and he doesn’t give a shit about his ex-wife. We have offered protection for them, and he’s refused. Said it’s been too long and most know he doesn’t care. Nice guy, right? Pisses me off this one came forward. He’s a fucking heartless killer. He’s probably one of the ones we should be putting away for good and not protecting.”

Dominic heard him. But that was always the way. The killers were the biggest sissies of them all, the ones who were afraid of being the next hit. Most of them had dozens of kills under their belts, cowardly kills, always done when the victim least expected it and with a bullet to the back of the head.

Dominic would have to tell Shauna. She hated being away from him for a few days. They were becoming very close. Their relationship was on a new level. She loved him, and he loved her. The realization had hit him hard when she said the words first. But it was more. He wanted to consume her, own her, be the only man she’d ever be with from now on. He enjoyed the power he had over her.

She was making him see his feelings of domination weren’t wrong or odd, they were part of who he was. And she needed the domination. She craved it. Together, they were exploring a lifestyle he had once considered taboo and abusive.  She was making him see what he desired wasn’t against everything he believed in.

Even as a cop, the calls for domestic violence never came from a true BDSM couple. A few short years ago he wouldn’t have known the difference anyway. He looked back on those calls, and realized they weren’t even close to the practices he was now learning. With Shauna, the domination had a sexual context, and an emotional one. He’d never felt this close to anyone. The intimacy was incredible. Her body belonged to him, every inch of it, and he surprised himself with his open sexual attitude.

She told him they’d go to a reputable club soon, one she trusted, but even there she couldn’t find a Dom to her liking. Now she’d show him off. He kept an open mind even though he wasn’t sure he wanted to share what they had with anyone. His possessive nature flourished with Shauna, but she embraced it and needed it. He believed he’d found the perfect partner. But he wanted to explore the lifestyle further. He needed to see other couples living it and melding into everyday society.

He was curious about marriage and a family. He knew many lived somewhat normal lives, at least it looked that way to the vanilla world. How did that work? Shauna assured him they’d explore every aspect of the lifestyle. He trusted her, and trust was an integral part of their relationship, and any BDSM partnership. He was sinking deeper. He was loving her more than he imagined he could love anyone. The time to tell her was close.

His job over the last few years had become his haven, his protection against emotions. There, he delved into other’s minds, leaving all he was behind. Now life had taken a twist.

“So I’ll be in Jersey for two weeks?” he asked Williams.

“Dominic, you sound hesitant. You don’t have to take this assignment.” Williams eyed him carefully. Dominic could almost see what he was thinking.

“Well, this one is close. I could end up across the country, and then I’d be screwed.”

“This is the first time I’ve seen you concerned with location. You were always the first one to get on a plane.”

“That was before. You know things have changed.”

“I see. Okay then, take this one. Maybe you can get inside this asshole’s head while you’re at it. He knows more than he’s willing to spill. I’d love to get more out of him. I think you’re the man who can do it.” Williams stood and put his phone back in his pocket. “Oh, and by the way, excellent job with Forsberg.”

“Thanks. That was a pleasure.”

Williams left, and Dominic sat back in his chair. He needed a vacation. He hadn’t taken one in four years. He’d put everything he had into his job after his divorce. Now Shauna was in his life, and she was an unexpected pleasure.

Thinking about pleasure, his mind turned to her. He checked the clock in his office. It was time to pack up.

Chapter Thirteen

He never thought life could get any better with Shauna, but it did.  When he got home, she was waiting for him in a long, black, satin robe. She’d cooked dinner and had it waiting for him. Her red hair was pinned up with wavy tendrils adorning her beautiful face. He’d never seen a woman so beautiful. His mind and body reacted to her. Then that hard thud deep inside his chest happened again. For the first time in his life, he found himself deeply in love. He was also vulnerable as all hell. She could destroy him if she wanted to.

When he entered his apartment she was at the dining table folding napkins, her lovely face turned to him, and she smiled. “Hey, baby,” she said softly.

He walked over and took her into his arms. He kissed her lightly. “Hey baby, yourself,” he answered.

She hugged him tightly, holding on to him longer than usual. Something was wrong. “Hey, what’s going on? You’re trembling,” he said, holding onto her.

“Nothing, I’m just glad to see you. I’m glad you’re home.”

He knew her better. She was tough, strong, and resilient. Something had spooked her.

“Shauna, I know you better than you think; what the hell is going on? You do know I’m a U.S. Marshal and if anyone is bothering you, I want to know.”

“That’s it, Dominic. You are the law, and I don’t want to jump to conclusions.”

“About what?” he demanded.

“It’s nothing, really, just that I have a very affluent new customer. He is buying some high-end designer clothing for his wives. Not sure how he found me, but he is charming and has taken a fancy to me. I think he’s kidding, but he said he’s never seen a redhead like me and would love it if I’d come to a party that he’s giving. I told him thank you and would be coming with a guest. He made a face then smiled.”

“Did he?”  Dominic pulled her gently off of him and held her out in front so he could examine her face. “Babe, this guy really spooked you. Do you need to me to talk to him?”

“No, no, I can handle him. Besides, I’ll make thousands, and that’s what I need to do to get my business on the map.”

“Okay, baby, but you need to tell me if he’s doing anything shady.” Dominic stopped, and then raised an eyebrow. “Wait, did you say
wives
?”

She smiled faintly. “Yes. He’s from the United Arab Emirates. His name is Ahbeeb Saheeb Dinar, and he’s quite charming.”

“Is he? Should I be jealous?”

She took his face in her hands. “Never. If he saw you he’d understand why I want no part of him. I love you, need you, and must be with you.”

“You did say Arab, right?”

“Yes, why?”

“I’m pretty good with names, and that name sounds more Indian to me, not Arabic,” he said, kissing her forehead.

“I often wonder how you can tell.”

“It’s my business, baby. It’s what I do. I’m a profiler.” He smiled, watching her puzzled face. “You look confused?”

“I am, actually. He specifically said The United Arab Emirates but spoke pretty damned good English. I mean with an American accent, yet he definitely looked foreign.”

“So many of them are schooled here, even at a young age. Sent to American boarding schools. Amazing, right? Then one blows up something in the free world.”

“He looks rather harmless but horny,” she giggled.

“Okay. I should be getting jealous here.”

She turned in his arms. “You will never have anything to be jealous of with me.”

The thought of her with another man did not sit well with him. It heated him up, churned angrily inside of him. Perhaps now was the right time to tell her exactly how he felt. “Shauna,” he hesitated. This was the first time he’d ever bared his soul to anyone. “The thought of you with another man gets me angry. I’d never hurt you, but I’d probably hurt him. I need you.” He stopped and scanned her face.

“I know,” she answered.

“It’s more, baby. I must be with you Shauna …” he stopped and ran a hand softly over her face then pulled her closer. “Shauna, I love you.”

He watched the tears form in the corners of her eyes. Her hands came up to his cheeks. “I know you do. I’ve been waiting for you to be brave enough to tell me. I’ve been waiting for you to be able to commit yourself to me. I want more, and I know you do too.”

“Yes, I’m not afraid to tell you that I want to own you. Another woman might take offense to my needs, but I realize now it’s your need too.”

“Yes, oh, yes.” She kissed his lips.

“Now I want to hear you say it, to hear you call me Sir.”

She let the corners of her lips rise slightly. She lowered her eyelids sexily. “My Sir, I am yours.”

He broke into a large grin. “Damn that’s sexy, Shauna. So you’re saying you’re mine and I get to play with you how and when I want?”

She leaned into him. “Oh, God yes, Sir.”

He kissed her forehead. “Christ, I love you more each minute that we’re together.”

“Make love to me, please?”

“I love when you beg, baby.” He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.

“Dinner,” she reminded him.

“Is the oven off?” he asked.

She nodded.

“Then it can wait. I’m hungry for you at the moment. Tonight I’m going to make love to you,” he said as his lips touched hers. “Hot shit, at my age finding love for the first time.”

“They say there is a first time for everything.” Her smile dazzled him and revved up his emotions.

He had little time to undress but did, faster than he’d ever done before. His clothing gone and her black satin robe on the floor, they entwined their bodies together, their lips locked and tongues snaked together. He was by far the stronger of the two and he had her pinned to the bed, ensuring complete submission on her part. As not to overwhelm her, he rolled over onto his back taking her with him.

“Mmm, my little girl is on top. I think you might be the one in control now.”

Coral tipped breasts stared him in the face, beckoning his mouth. So not to disappoint either tasty mound, he sucked one then the other. She moaned her delight at his actions. He held her by the waist above him, his cock hard and ready.

“You’re so ready” she cooed. Let me put you inside of me. We can fuck hard and long, baby, until we both need to cum,” she said, holding his mouth to her breasts.

He was more than ready and loved how she slowly took all of him into her. She moved from his mouth and put her lips to his, kissing him deeply. His hands wound themselves into her full head of hair.

“Now, baby! Ride me hard. Shauna, fuck me hard.”

He didn’t have to ask her further as she put her hands on his shoulders and moved her hips up and down. Then she let loose and rode him hard. She took his cock deep and then moved up on him, almost letting him go but then pushed her body back down on him.

Fine beads of sweat broke out on their bodies as she slammed down on him. Soon his balls tightened, and his cock ached. He was ready.

“Baby, ah, fuck. It’s here,”

“Yes, oh, yes,” she screamed, picking up her pace. He couldn’t hold back any longer and he let his cock explode inside of her. She kept her momentum up then he saw her face and felt how her body stopped− she held him tight. The small ripples of her orgasm gripped him, and he swore his cock pumped one last time. She collapsed on him and his arms took hold of her body. Her head lay in the crook of his neck, her lips close to his ear.

“I love you,” she said breathlessly.

“And I love you, Shauna.” He moved his lips closer to her. “I’ve never loved anyone before like this. You are mine. You belong to me.”

“Yes, my Master.” She said then added, “You are the master of my heart and soul.”

For the first time in his life, he believed there were no words to describe what he was feeling. Dominic Esposito was speechless.
