“As long as you don’t believe your worth has to come in the eyes of another.”

Kilan laughed. Markis raised an eyebrow. Oh, so that was what bothered his brother. “I love him, Markis. It’s not everything. It wouldn’t be enough by itself. I’m not whole because of him. I’m whole with him.”

Kilan heard Antal let out a breath that he’d obviously been holding. A moment later, Antal slipped an arm around his waist. “I love you too,” Antal told him, probably for the benefit of everyone, but as far as Kilan was concerned, they might as well have been alone. He knew the truth of Antal’s words. He felt it in every touch, saw it in every look, heard it in every sigh. The collar wasn’t a symbol of what they did but of what Antal meant to him, what he had given him, what he did for him, of his love. Kilan trusted Antal with more than his life; he trusted him with everything that he was.

Behind Markis, Uly and Ryanac stood grinning. Markis smiled down at him, and in that smile gave them both his blessing; Kilan didn’t need it, but it was nice. He leaned against Antal as he returned the smile.

A writer from the UK, Sharon simply refers to her work as diverse. She’s written both fact and fiction; however, she prefers to call herself simply a storyteller. Her articles, poetry, short stories and longer works have appeared in a variety of print and online publications both in the UK and in the USA. She’s received fan mail all the way from South Africa. Her work often crosses genres, thus, crime, horror, fantasy, action, adventure, fairy tales, gothic, erotica, romance, and slipstream, are themes she uses in any combination. She gave her website the title of “Aonia” for in Greek myth that is where the mused lived and with numerous small publishing credits, praise for her novels, and several books now available, the muses have definitely found a home at Aonia.
