Chapter 1

Marley

This was ridiculous. I was the victim of the most disorganized kidnapping ever. Not only had a mesh sack been thrown over my head, (Hello! It was mesh, idiots!) But my hands had been tied together with neon pink shoelaces.

“How the hell do those Knights get all the hot puntas?” the one with a red hat on asked.

“Not a fucking clue, hombre. All I know is I plan on having a taste of this punta before we get rid of her.” The one with a buzz cut said, as he licked his lips and puckered his lips at me.

Ew. I shivered in disgust and focused on how to get the hell out of here. I had gathered from what they had been saying that they thought I was Cyn. These morons had apparently never seen Cyn, because Cyn and I were complete opposites. You would have to be blind to confuse us. Or an Assassin apparently.

“I’m sure Big A will want the first crack at her,” Red Hat said.

OK, time to think. I didn’t want anyone getting first ‘crack’ at me. “Um, hi,” I said, getting their attention.

“Look, the punta muñequita speaks,” Buzz cut sneered.

“Um, I gather that you two think I’m Cyn,” I stated, getting straight to the point. “But I’m not.”

They both threw their heads back, laughing. “You
are
Cyn.”

Oy. These guys were idiots. “No, I’m actually not. I have no connection to the Knights.” I was not about to tell them I was Gravel’s daughter. They might let me go if they thought I had nothing to do with the Knights.

“Then what were you doing leaving the clubhouse? Are you one of their puntas?” Red Hat said, his eyes traveling up and down my body.

Ugh. Double ew. “I was just there for the party. I only met Rigid for a minute. He’s not going to care what happens to me.”

“We don’t believe you, punta. You will say anything for us to let you go,” Buzzcut said, advancing on me.

“I send you on a simple task of grabbing Cyn and instead you come back with some random punta?”

I look over my shoulder and see a short, Hispanic man enter the room, glaring at Buzz cut and red hat. I turned my gaze back to the two idiots and smirked at them. Ha!

“We did what you asked, jefe,” Red Hat said, taking his hat off and held it to his chest.

“I asked you to grab some random Punta?”

“Well, no. You asked for us to grab Rigid’s mujer. We saw her talking to him earlier in the night and figured she had to be Cyn,” Buzz cut explained, trying to dig himself out of the hole he was in.

“God help me,” Shorty said, as he walked over to me and crouched down. “You’re not Cyn, are you?” he asked me.

“Nope,” I said, popping the p. “I was trying to tell tweedle dee and tweedle dumb here that, but they didn’t believe me.”

He shook his head and stood up, turning his back to me. “Untie her and drop her off somewhere. She isn’t going to be any help to us.”

“We can’t just let her go!” Red hat yelled.

“She’s seen our faces, boss,” Buzz cut chimed in.

“I don’t care. I’m not going to hurt some niña because you fucking idiots grabbed the wrong girl. Do it now,” he ordered, turning around and walked out of the room.

“Ala chingada,” Red hat said, walking over to me and started untying my arms.

“You know who Cyn is?” Buzz cut asked me, getting in my face.

“No. That was my first time at the clubhouse. Now let me go. I can’t help you, asshole.”

“You sure are a punta. I ought to teach you a lesson.” He spit at me.

“Knock it off, Jose, and help me get her back in the van.”

“Oh, I’ll knock something off,” Buzz cut said, standing up and sneering down at me.

He reared back, winding up his fist. The last thing I remembered was his fist connecting with my face and thinking that was going to leave a mark.

Chapter 2

Troy

“If we don’t find her, I’m stringing you up by your balls and leaving you for dead,” Gravel threatened for the tenth time as he threw his leg over his bike and took off in a cloud of dust.

I took my hat off and ran my fingers through my hair. Big A from the Assassins had just called and told King that they were dropping Marley off somewhere. He didn’t tell King where, because Big A was under the impression that Marley was nobody to the Knights.

King had let him believe that she was just some club pussy they had accidently kidnapped. As soon as everyone had heard that they were turning Marley loose, they had all taken off looking for her.

“You riding with me?” Meg asked, walking out of the clubhouse.

“King is actually letting you go look for Marley?” I asked, surprised.

“Phff. I do what I want,” Meg said, swinging her door open.

“I find that hard to believe,” I said, opening the passenger door and sliding in next to her.

“OK, OK I begged and pleaded and promised him you would go with me,” she confessed, backing out of her parking spot. She shifted into drive, and we rocketed out of the parking lot.

“Do you even know where we are going?” I asked, as I reached over my shoulder and grabbed the seat belt.

“Around.”

“Around? Really? Do you think we are just going to stumble upon her?” I asked, snapping the buckle in place.

“I have a couple of ideas, but my main plan is to drive around and look in places where it would be good to dump a body.”

“Dump a body? Really, Meg? I think it’s safe to say that Marley is fine. We just need an idea where they are dropping her off.”

“That’s what I meant, dropping her off,” she replied, whipping around a back alley and rolled her window down.

“Do you think you could drive without giving me whiplash?” I asked, rubbing my neck.

“Toughen up cupcake,” Meg said, careening out of the alley and back on the street.

I looked up and down every alley and driveway we passed but didn’t see anything.

“Did you actually sleep with Marley last night?”

“Uh, well, we really didn’t do a lot of sleeping,” I smirked.

“You’re such a pig.” Meg rolled her eyes.

“Hey, you asked.”

“So, do you like her?” She asked, looking over at me.

Do I like Marley? That was an understatement. On top of her being drop dead gorgeous, she had one hell of a wicked sense of humor. It was hard to find a girl who had the same laid-back personality as I had and also be funny. The few hours I had spent with Marley had been fantastic.

“She’s a cool chick,” I replied, not wanting to give too much away. I knew how Meg was. She and I had been friends for years, and I knew how she worked. She was pumping me for information right now, and I knew she was plotting in her head.

“Really, just a cool chick?”

“Yup,” I shook my head and continued staring out the window, hoping to see something that would distract Meg from her interrogation.

“So do you plan on seeing her again?”

“Guess that all depends on if we find her or not.”

“We will. I’m going to head to the gas station and fill up. King drove my truck and didn’t fill it up,” Meg griped, whipping a shitty and heading back the way we came.

“Was that Gravel that just drove by?” I asked, watching a motorcycle whiz by us.

Meg glanced in her side mirror and smiled at me. “You mean your future father-in-law?” She laughed.

“You’re such a bitch sometimes, you know that?”

“I know. You tell me at least two times a day at work,” she smirked, turning into the gas station and pulling up to a pump.

“I’ll pump if you just want to swipe your card,” I said, opening my door.

“Hell yeah. You know I hate pumping gas,” she said, getting out and walked over to the pump. She swiped her card and headed into the gas station. I could only imagine what she was buying.

I started pumping the gas and leaned against the truck, watching the numbers go up. The numbers whizzed by as I thought about Marley and what the hell was going to happen once we found her.

I had initially thought of calling her, but after I found out she was Gravel’s daughter, that kind of stopped me in my tracks. I know Meg was fully immersed in the MC world, but I don’t know if that is something I want. I had helped out when the whole thing with asshat and Cyn had gone down, but I only did it because of Cyn.

Last night with Marley had definitely been awesome, but was it better to be left as a one-night thing now that I knew more about her? Gravel was convinced I was trying to get with Meg. I absolutely, under no doubt, did not like Meg more than friends. She was like a freaking sister to me. I treated her like one of the guys. Half the fucking time I forgot she even was a chick.

“Dude, you are not going to believe what I just bought. They had deep fried cheese that is covered in crushed-up nacho cheese Doritos. I fucking
love
Wisconsin,” Meg said, handing me a small cardboard box. I peeked through the window on top and saw four neon orange triangles.

“Are you sure these are edible?” I asked, opening the box and sniffing them.
