Chapter Three: Yes Please
Nova sat in her father’s living room. Her neck was badly bruised and her head felt very funny. “You can’t go back to your apartment in this condition,” Henry demanded. Nova lived a few miles away from Henry and Lula’s with a couple friends from school. “You have to stay with us tonight,” he continued. Lula walked into the room with a tray filled with things to help Nova. “Here, honey,” Lula said as she handed Nova a cold towel. Nova smiled and thanked Lula as she handed her juice, cookies and some medicine. Nova was in shock, not to mention the pain she was in as well. She lay on the couch and slowly drifted to sleep.
Jeremy walked through the door to see her peacefully sleeping. A sense of relief went throughout his body. He discussed how she was doing with Henry and Lula. He had told them that he was out with some friends when he received the call from Lula. “She’s pretty sore, but is in good spirits. That asshole got what he deserved,” Henry angrily announced. Jeremy felt overwhelmed with power when he realized he had killed someone, who caused Nova so much pain.
The next morning, the police were at the house talking to Nova. She told them every detail that occurred the night before. It shocked the rest of the family, but Nova was remaining very strong the entire time. She discussed what she had seen with the bear and what she had done after. Once the police left, Henry and Lula left to get some things for the market. This left Nova and Jeremy alone.
He took care of whatever she needed and also gave her some pick me ups. Jeremy wanted to tell her everything; however he knew the implications of those actions. Either Nova would think he was entirely crazy or she’d freak out completely. He sat with her while she unloaded about the events that occurred. “Did they catch the bear,” Nova questioned Jeremy. He became pale, “The authorities haven’t said anything,” he hesitated.
The evening news flashed on the television screen, while Jeremy and Nova sat upstairs in the guest room. The two awaited the story regarding the bear. Henry and Lula made their market trip an all day trip and decided to stay out for most of the night. Of course, always checking on Nova throughout the night. She and Jeremy sat having a good time together. Nova was feeling much better with Jeremy around, of course Jeremy was always feeling great while he was around her.
She rested her head on his chest and complimented him on how awesome he was being to her. She thanked him for everything and told him how much she loved hanging out with him. Jeremy beamed with happiness. He loved being so close to her. She picked her head up and flashed a huge smile at Jeremy. Suddenly, he leaned in and kissed her plump lips. Nova didn't stop him. They began making out, touching each other's faces, chests and backs.
Nova pulled away, "I'm so sorry," she cried. Jeremy pulled her back and continued his actions. The two sat, passionately kissing and laughing in the process. Jeremy couldn't believe that he had the nerve to do what he did, and the fact that Nova was allowing it.
"Nova!" Henry's voiced echoed throughout the home. Jeremy practically jumped off of the couch when he heard Henry's voice. He immediately ran to see if the two needed help with anything. Nova sat with excitement and confusion building in her being. "What just happened," Nova mumbled to herself. She didn't know, but she kind of liked it.
She changed her focus to the news that was still on the TV when the story about her came on. The anchorwoman discussed the details of Nova's incident.
“It is confirmed that a bear is responsible for this murder, along with the man on 11
th
Street,” the anchorwoman explained. She went on to tell the audience to keep their eyes open and call authorities immediately, if the bear was seen.
For the next few weeks, things were odd between Nova and Jeremy. The two went back to their own homes and went about their normal lives. He texted her here and there, and they small talked each time. Nevertheless, the two continued to think about each other as the days passed. All Jeremy wanted to do was talk about the events that occurred, however he was terrified of what Nova would say. He wanted nothing more to be with her, however he understood how difficult that would be.
Jeremy made his way over to Nova’s apartment. He didn’t know if she was there or not, but he didn’t care. Sitting and thinking about what Nova was doing was too much for him. He climbed into his red Jeep Wrangler and sped off down the road. His mind was going much faster than the car. What was he going to say? How was Nova going to respond regardless of what he said? Jeremy pulled up to Nova’s apartment building and put his car in park. He didn’t get out of the car at first, rather he stared at the door that led to Nova’s apartment. “Just do it,” Jeremy egged himself on. His palms grew clammy and his legs began to shake. Just a few hundred feet away, Nova sat comfortably watching TV. He climbed out of his car, walked to the door and pressed the button that notified Nova that someone was there.
“Hello?” Nova’s voiced beamed through the intercom system.
Chapter Four: Quick Run
Jeremy sat on Nova’s red couch. She was fixing some tea for the two of them. She went on about her day. “I’ve started a new painting, I can’t wait for you to see it,” Nova beamed. Jeremy loved hearing about her works of art. He always believed that she had the most beautiful paintings he’d ever seen. She used such beautiful paintings to express how she felt and Jeremy loved that about her. In the beginning, that’s how Jeremy started falling for her. At Camp Kensington, where the two met, Nova showed him one of the first paintings she ever did. He was immediately inspired by Nova and wanted to paint and draw just like she. Jeremy, however, went down the tattoo road and start putting sketches together and studying the art of tattooing. He always thanked Nova for his motivation and success with art.
She handed him a green and white striped coffee mug, which was filled with chai tea. It was always one of Jeremy’s favorites and Nova obviously knew that. They had small chit chat. Jeremy asked her how she was doing and Nova told him much better she was doing. “I’m glad he’s gone,” Nova revealed to Jeremy. Her eyes filled with tears. She was referring to her ex-boyfriend who had harassed her. “I thought he was going to kill me,” Nova began to cry. Jeremy could tell they were tears of relief. Nova wasn’t scared, nor did she look like she was sad in anyway. She was finally rid of a person that she feared every day. She could go on peacefully, thanks to Jeremy.
He leaned forward and wiped away the tears that fell down Nova’s face. She smiled and thanked him. Jeremy scooted himself closer to Nova and wrapped his arms around her. He felt her entire body relax and she fell into him. Their hug gave Jeremy all the confidence in the world. He lifted Nova’s body and laid a huge kiss upon her lips. In no time, Nova’s legs were wrapped around Jeremy’s wasted. He laid on top of her and grinded himself into Nova. They both began breathing heavily and undressing one another. Jeremy almost tore Nova’s blouse right off and pulled her breasts out of her bra. He squeezed and massaged them, making Nova moaned and beg for more.
He pressed his lips against her nipple and began sucking, passionately. Nova pulled his hair and kissed his forehead. Jeremy worked on taking Nova’s and his own pants off, while going to town on Nova’s books. He licked every itch on her chest. Nova’s boobs were kissed, bitten and even smacked a few times by Jeremy. Nova giggled and continuously begged him not to stop. Once Jeremy ridded Nova of her pants, he rubbed the head of his penis repeatedly on Nova’s legs. He teased her, while she panted with pleasure. Jeremy picked Nova up and sat her right onto his huge erection. Nova bounced over and over on Jeremy, while they both were practically screaming.
Jeremy tossed her around, giving their experience several different angles. He flipped her around, put her on her back and even straddled her over the back of the couch. Nova loved every minute of it. She moaned, begged for him to keep going and even let him cum all over her stomach and chest. Jeremy never had sex that was that good and Nova could, pretty much, say the same thing. They finished and Jeremy collapsed his body onto the couch. Nova ran off to the bathroom to clean herself off.
Jeremy sat, naked, shining with happiness. He couldn’t believe what had just happened, he couldn’t’ help but smile. However, something didn’t sit right with him. With what happened to Nova and what she had seen, Jeremy started to feel horrible for killing Cole in front of her. He wanted to tell Nova about his ability to change form, however he didn’t know how she’d take it. He let out and large sigh and began putting his clothes back on. His mind raced, as he tried to compile what he wanted to say to Nova. She entered the room, still dressed in absolutely nothing. Jeremy picked his head up and admired the beautiful body she was blessed with. He got a little excited again, however he needed to get something off of his chest.
Nova walked towards him with a sensual smirk on her face. She wrapped her arms around Jeremy’s neck and began kissing his neck. Suddenly, Jeremy became overwhelmed and began groping her entire body. Nova wasn’t complaining however, she always like the rough type. Jeremy began pleasuring her once again, he slide his finger into Nova and began fingering her. Nova laughed with pleasure and told Jeremy not to stop. He grew with excitement, he pleasured her harder and harder until she came. Just as Nova went to repay him, he stopped her. “We need to talk,” Jeremy said to her. Nova seemed concerned. She walked down to her room and grabbed a robe to wear.
They sat on the couch that she had violated a few moments prior. Nova didn’t say anything, she was too scared. What was he going to tell her? Nova’s embarrassment grew, as well as her anxiety. Jeremy grabbed Nova’s hands and tightly held them as he looked into her eyes. “This isn’t going to be easy,” Jeremy began. “I’m not like other guys, Nova,” he confessed. Nova sat silent, just listening to what he had to say. Jeremy let go on her hands and paced around the room. “Please don’t freak out Nova, but-,” Jeremy was interrupted by the sound of two gunshots beings fired. Suddenly, the hair on the back of his neck stood, a shiver down his spine occurred and his vision became sharper. Before saying anything, Jeremy ran out of Nova’s apartment and to the scene of the shooting.
Chapter Five: The Park
Nova sat, shocked. She knew Jeremy wanted to help the person in trouble, however she feared for his safety. She threw some clothes on and ran downstairs to see if she could see Jeremy. After running down a few flights of stairs, Nova busted through the main door and peered down the street in both directions. There was no sight of Jeremy anywhere. She ran to her car and decided to call the police because of the gunshots. Frantically, Nova drove trying to find Jeremy. She drove into the park that was a mile or so away from her home. Desperate, she got out of her car and walked throughout the large deserted park. It was dark, however there was some light from the bright moon. In the distance, Nova heard muffled voices and what sounded like people having a scuffle. She quickly walked towards the sound, keeping her distance. A group of seven people stood a few yards away from where Nova crouched. They were fighting. The group was separated into two groups, the group that consisted of bigger men harassed the three other men that stood there. The big men had already killed another, which was where the gunshot sound came from. This fight has digressed into an all physical fight, however the bigger men were slowly killing the others.
Suddenly, the large grizzly bear ran from the wooded area behind the large men. He pounced on them, making all three of the men fall to the ground. One by one, the bear tore the men to pieces. Allowing the victims to run to safety. Nova sat watching their entire situation. She was frozen, she didn’t run or even grow with fear. While watching what the bear did, she realized the bear was merely helping victims that were being hurt. Of course, killing the people that caused the hurt in the first place. She watched as the bear dragged the three bodies in with the trees. After the third body was placed, Nova was shocked to see what emerged from the forest. Instead of the large grizzly bear, a man came from the forest. He whipped his face from blood, rubbed his hands together and exited the park. Nova knew that man, she knew that man all too well. This being, of course, because she just had sex with him.
Nova didn’t speak to Jeremy for days. Either she hallucinated seeing Jeremy or he had a lot of explaining to do. Nevertheless, Nova didn’t want to get to the bottom of it. Quite frankly, Nova wanted to forget about the whole thing. She did so by finally being able to apply to the school of her dreams that was located in New York. Nova dreamt of going almost every day and couldn’t wait until the day she could apply. Luckily, that day arrived when it did. She needed her mind off of what she had just witnessed. Of course, she didn’t want to go to the authorities. Obviously, Jeremy was doing a good thing right? Nevertheless, that didn’t explain his ability to change into a huge grizzly bear. Nova shuddered at the thought of the bear mauling those men. She had never seen anything so graphic.
Jeremy sat in his living room, completely having a panic attack over Nova. He had no idea what she had seen and what she already knew. Simply, he feared that she was upset over his departure. Little did he know it was much worse than that. After all the texts and calls he sent her, Jeremy finally gave up. He figured she needed her space and he wanted to respect that. He texted her one final time, letting her know he was there for her when she wanted to talk. Jeremy felt horrible, he didn’t want to make her feel that way. All he wanted was for her to be happy, and he feared he had done the exact opposite.
Nova sat in her living room as her two roommates watched soap operas. Her head was stuck on the incident that had occurred. Although a week had passed, she still didn’t contact Jeremy. However, she started feeling guilty for it. Now that she knew what Jeremy truly was, she started thinking about her debacle with Cole. Jeremy had saved her life. She started feeling worse and worse about ignoring him so much. In her eyes, Jeremy had done nothing wrong. Quite frankly, he was a hero to her.
Over at Jeremy’s apartment, there wasn’t much activity. Several pieces of crumbled paper surrounded him, as though he couldn’t sketch exactly what he wanted. He hadn’t left his apartment in a few days, heartbroken over Nova. He felt almost insane for feeling this way about his new step-sister, however he couldn’t help how he felt. He loved that girl more than anything, and he had wished she knew.
Suddenly, Jeremy’s intercom buzzed. With confusion, Jeremy walked over to the machine and asked hello. He wasn’t expecting anyone, so he wasn’t sure who sat on the other side of the intercom. Just then, a sweet voice said hello back. Nova stood at the apartment building’s main door, crying as she waited for Jeremy. With much relief, Jeremy buzzed her in and she made her way to his door.
Jeremy stood, waiting for her. He smiled and gave her a hug, and to his surprise, she hugged him back. The two walked in and Nova began kissing him. Of course he didn’t stop, however he was shocked at her actions. She pulled away, “Thank you,” cried Nova. In Nova’s head, she was thanking him for a couple things. One, for killing the man that tried hurting her. Two, for allowing her to love. For once, Nova loved and felt loved by a man. She hugged Jeremy, almost until the guy popped. While hugging him, Nova picked her head up and smiled. “I know, Jeremy,” Nova revealed.
