“Yes, please. I’m starving.”

“You look like you are. You’re very thin, Alexa. Do you eat anymore?”

“Of course I eat, not as much as I used to, I admit.”

“That will change.” He strokes some hair from her face. “I hope you’ll let me take care of you like I used to.”

“That’s something we have to deal with. We still have the problem of location.”

Scott lifts his finger to her lips to stop her. “Let’s eat first and then talk.”

Alexa watches Scott walk over to the bedside table and call room service. He orders a ton of food and a bottle of wine. “Make sure you bring some dessert too, chocolate cake?” He hangs up and turns back to her. “I hope you’ll stay with me tonight. I’ll get you home early enough for work.”

“I’ll stay.”

“Good. Waking up next to you is heaven to me.”

She cocks her head in disbelief.
Where is dominant master Scott Patrick hiding
? It’s almost like he’s a completely different man. She isn’t sure how to react to this new man and definitely isn’t sure how to react to her screamed out declaration of love for him.

She walks naked to the bathroom to freshen up and hears Scott let Room Service in. She peeks out the door as they set the food up in the bedroom and laughs to herself watching Scott wrapped in just a towel while he tips the attendant.

“Are you coming out of there, Alexa?”

“Of course,” she giggles as she opens the door. “I didn’t want him to see me naked.”

“No, that wouldn’t be good. I’d have to get jealous again. I never want anyone but me and the doctor that delivers our babies to see you naked.”

She stands frozen in her tracks. “Our babies?” she asks softly.

Scott frowns as though he wishes he didn’t say that out loud. Then softly he asks, “Have you ever thought about that? With me?

“Scotty…I…”

“It’s okay, baby girl. You don’t have to answer. I’m throwing all this shit at you that I’ve had a fucking year to think about. You’ve had a couple of days. Come over here and eat. I won’t ask you anymore hard questions tonight.” He smiles and pats the bed next to him.

Crap, he wants babies?
She walks over to him and climbs back in the bed, looking over the impressive selection of food he ordered. She picks up a cheeseburger and sinks her teeth into it, stuffing several french fries in her mouth as well.

“I like seeing you eat. It’s sexy.”

Alexa laughs. “Glad you think so.”

They both turn and look at the dresser as Scott’s phone rings loudly. He looks back at Alexa, deciding to ignore it.

“Aren’t you going to answer it?” Alexa asks.

“Whoever it is, it isn’t important.”

“Are you hiding something?” She asks, suspiciously.

He raises his eyebrows. “No. I told you that you are the only woman in my life.”

“Does everybody else you fuck know that?”

“I don’t fuck anyone else anymore.”

She chews on her burger, challenging him with her eyes to answer the phone.

“Fine. I’ll answer it, on speaker.” He grabs his phone right before it stops ringing for good. “Scott,” he answers coldly.

“Hi, Scott! It’s Janelle. Where ya been? I haven’t seen you in ages.”

Alexa’s eyes open wide.
It’s one of his bitches calling.

“I’m in London, Janelle, and I have to go.”

“Wait!” she says, trying to keep him on the line. “Can I see you when you get back? I need you so bad. It’s been soooo long,” she giggles. “Please, master.”

Master?
Alexa shoves a french fry in her mouth, watching Scott handle this call like she’s at a blockbuster movie.

“I won’t be seeing you when I return, Janelle.”

“Why not?” Her pout can be heard through the phone and Alexa imagines her to be some young and dumb blond bimbo.

“Because I’m seeing someone and it’s serious. I don’t have room in my life for anyone else,” he says, his eyes locked on Alexa the entire time.

“Well I can do both of you. You know I like that too. Please, master? I’m so bored without you.”

“Do both of us?” Alexa mouths the words to Scott as he waves his hands at her.

“No, Janelle. It’s not like that. It’s a real relationship.”

“But you said that was only Alexa and she’s gone now. Wait! She’s in London! Oh my God, Scott! Are you with Alexa?”

Alexa grabs the phone before Scott has a chance to stop her. Hitting the button to turn the speaker off, she says, “Yes, Janelle. He’s with Alexa. I’m Alexa.”

Scott stares at her, a look of pure horror on his face. Alexa nods her head, listening to the bubbly girl on the other end. Finally she speaks, “I appreciate that, Janelle. You take care.” She clicks the button to hang up the call, and eats another fry. Scott stares anxiously waiting for her to speak.

“Well?” he asks.

“You won’t be hearing from her anymore. Sweet girl.”

“That’s it? What did she say?”

“She said, and I quote, ‘oh my God, you’re THE Alexa. Oh my God, Scott loves you, like loves you! Like all he did was talk about you and how much he wanted you back. Like I couldn’t even get him to like, do me, you know? Oh my God, I hope that totally doesn’t piss you off that I just said that. I’m just telling you. Anyway, he loves you and I’m so happy you took him back! I’ll never call him again, I swear, okay?’ End quote.”

Scott laughs at the giggly tone in which Alexa restated the conversation. “Are you angry with me, Lexi?”

“Why? Because a girl called you? I expect many more will.”

He shrugs. “Until they know I got you back.”

“It’s actually very sweet to know you talked about me to another girl.”

“Every girl. I told you, I was ruined after you left.”

Alexa leans across the bed and puts a fry in Scott’s mouth. “Feed me some cake, then let’s make love again before we sleep.”

“That sounds great. Lexi?” he says her name so tenderly. “I just need to tell you again. I love you.”

Alexa smiles and takes a bite of cake, wishing she could say it back without being in the throes of passion.

Alexa crawls into Scott’s arms, her skin glistening from the love making session they just had. She watches him as his eyes close and reaches up to stroke his cheek. Her hand rests on his chest; rising and falling with his breathing.
God, he’s a beautiful man and he loves me. I love him too. It must be true. Only love could feel like this.

“I love you too, Scotty,” she whispers softly as she nestles her head in the crook of his arm. She wonders for a moment if he heard her, then knows he did as his arm tightens around her.

“We can do this, baby girl,” he whispers as they both drift off to sleep.

“I don’t know why I can be so strong away from you

and so weak around
you.”

~ Alexa

“Alexa? Wake up, sweet girl.” She hears his words break through the silence of morning. Turning over on her side, Alexa sees Scott’s face smiling back at her, and smiles back.

“We need to get up, Lexi. For work.”

Alexa groans and sits up on her elbow. “I know. Morning always comes too soon in the winter. It’s so dark and cold outside.”

“It is, gorgeous, but I’ve got coffee waiting for you,” he says, as he lifts the tray from the nightstand and sets it down on the bed between them.

“You do know the way to my heart, don’t you?” She laughs softly.

Scott leans over and kisses her forehead. “Your laugh is amazing, it’s one of the most beautiful sounds in the world to me and I never hear it enough. Also my fault.”

“Scotty, it’s not your fault I don’t laugh much. I didn’t laugh much before I met you either, remember? You know it’s hard for me to let loose.”

“I know,” he strokes her hand, “it’s my goal to get you to laugh more.”

She smiles and sips her coffee. “I’m surprised you know how I like my coffee. We’ve never talked about it.”

“I pay attention to everything you do and want and say. I always have.”

“You must have,” she says, offering a genuine smile. “I guess we should get up and shower.”

“You’re showering alone today, my sweet. I know if I go in there again, I will attack you and we’ll be late again.”

She nods. “Good point. So, I just have to ask,” she pushes her hair off her face. “How long are you going to be in London?”

“I already answered that. How long do you want me here?”

She rolls her eyes and sits up completely, carefully balancing her coffee cup. “Come on, Scotty. You have to go to work at some point, in New York.”

“No, what I have to do is love you and keep you close to me. I’ll stay here as long as that takes.”

“You’ve already succeeded with your goal. I’m back, remember?”

He grins. “Oh yeah, I remember. I’m just not ready to leave yet. I have an assistant that is keeping everything under control right now. We have a video call every day. Don’t worry about me getting work done.”

“Okay then, why don’t you let the hotel room go and come stay at my place with me?”

“You want me to stay with you?” he asks as he climbs out of bed and walks towards her. “You think you could stand being with me nonstop?” He wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her to him, kissing her neck sweetly.

“I’ve spent time with you before. Then if you still want, we can go to the castle this weekend.”

“I would like that. All of it. We can stay here too, as long as we’re together.”

Alexa smiles and walks into the bathroom to shower. She looks around briefly realizing suddenly she has no clean clothes, a torn blouse, shredded stockings, and nothing else. She walks back out to the bedroom but Scott is already in the living room. She grabs his t shirt from the previous day and throws it on, then walks out to find him. She notices immediately his tense demeanor, her phone held to his ear.
He answered my phone!

She marches towards him trying to take the phone but he shoots her a look that suggests she should not.

“Did you really think I was going to be okay with that?” he says to the person on the phone, clearly pissed off. “Why didn’t you run this by me first?”

Alexa stands staring at Scott, wondering who he could be talking to like that on her phone. Then it dawns on her–it must be Brett.

“Just business? Come on, do you expect me to believe that?” Scott says. “She’s not going to Spain, Brett. No fucking way.” Scott snaps the phone shut and turns to glare at Alexa.

What did I do?
“Scotty, I don’t know if that was called for.”

“You know what, Lexi? It was called for. If he was being honest with me about his intentions then he would have talked to me first or he would have called your fucking office. He called your personal line at seven o clock in the goddamn morning.”

“I think you’re being unreasonable. This is still my career here and I can handle my own affairs. You had no right to answer my phone.”

He narrows his eyes at her. “You’re mine, remember that. I can answer your phone if I want to.”

“Oh really? You’re taking this ownership thing a little too far I think.” She crosses her arms and stares at him in defiance.
