Between a Rock and a Hard Place (9 page)

“Romance is all I think about when it comes to you, mi amor.”

Tommy hugged his knees to his chest while he gazed up at the pastel sky.  Soon it would be dawn and they would no longer be shielded in the haze of its colorful hues.  The sea breeze blew his hair across his eyes and obscured his view.

A cluster of blond tresses crossed Angel’s cheek.  He caught them between his teeth and gave them a playful yank.

Tommy offered Angel a naughty little smile.  “Don’t tease me with your hair pulling, A.  Just because we’re out in the open on this sandy beach, don’t think I won’t devour your body.”  A romp in the sand was exactly what Tommy had in mind when he grabbed the bottle of lube from the dresser on the way out the door, but the fast-rising sun threatened to turn their love making into a bout of exhibitionism.

Angel brushed Tommy’s tousled hair to the side and placed his lips on Tommy’s neck.  “I would love nothing more than to make love to you under this glorious plum sky with the waves batting at our feet.  But first, let’s go into the water.”

“It’s freezing!”

“It will be exhilarating.  The heat from our bodies will provide the warmth we need.”  Angel stood, dropped the blanket and held out his hand.  “Let’s run in the water together.”

Tommy watched the goose bumps rise on Angel’s outstretched arm.  He knew that going into the water wasn’t a wise decision, but there was always something about Angel that made him yearn to try the unexpected.  He took the blanket with him as he grabbed Angel’s hand and got to his feet.  They huddled under the blanket, sunk their bare toes in the cool sand and laughed as they raced to the shoreline.  A tiny wave crashed at their feet and rolled up the shoreline.  Tommy shuddered as the icy water hit his toes.  He hopped from foot to foot and laughed.  “I don’t know about this, Angel.”

“We’ll drop the blanket, run in and dive underwater.  It will awaken our senses.”

“I’m already awake.  Tommy looked inside the blanket at his deflating erection.  “At least I was before that freezing water covered my ankles.”

Angel slipped out of his briefs and kicked them aside.  “Your turn.”

“I don’t know how you talk me into these things.”  He wiggled his shorts down to the sand and stepped out of them.  “On three?”

Angel nodded and took Tommy’s hand.  “Three!”  The blanket flew into the air behind them as Angel pulled him toward the water.  He laughed so hard that he stumbled, but Angel kept pulling him toward the shore.  The first few jumps in the water were a shock to his nervous system, but by the time the water was up to his knees, he acclimated to the temperature and it was refreshing.  Angel nodded at him and they both dove under the glassy shell of the sea.  It was much warmer under the surface, but still chilly. He blew tiny bubbles out his nose while his hair languished in the salt water.  He came up for air only a few feet from Angel.  He pushed his hair back over his forehead only to be greeted by a face full of water from Angel’s playful splashing.

Angel laughed, floated on his back and swam away with a few backstrokes of his powerful arms.

Tommy swam toward him.  “I’m going to drown you for that!”  He caught up to Angel and pounced on him.  He held Angel’s face in his hands and planted a forceful kiss on his lips.  The both slipped under the water with their mouths firmly engaged.  The water enveloped them in a cocoon of weightless energy.  They floated for a few seconds under the buoyant undercurrent before they bolted upwards for air.  They were only chest high in the water, but sought its warmth by staying submerged up to their necks and in each other’s arms.

The water reflected on Angel’s handsome face, causing a flicker of light to bounce off his jet black hair and charcoal eyes.  His wet, black lashes clumped together and magnified their length.  The man was so beautiful and sexy that Tommy could barely concentrate sometimes.  Not even the cool temperature of the water affected him when he was this close to Angel’s countenance.  He wrapped his arms and legs around Angel and floated in his arms.

Angel’s strong hands held Tommy around the waist while they gazed at each other under the veil of the morning sky.  Angel put his nose to Tommy’s neck and inhaled.  “Your hair still exudes that delicious scent of almonds and mint.  It was etched into my memory from the first time we met.”  Angel’s face glazed over with a reminiscent smile.  “It lingers in the room sometimes after you leave.  It used to drive me crazy when we were in the car together, before we became a couple.  I had wanted to run my fingers through it and bury my face in your neck so your scent would envelope me.”  He fingered a chunk of Tommy’s wet hair. “Now it’s mine to touch whenever I please.  I’m so happy we have this time together.”

“Me too.” The brisk morning air nipped at Tommy’s shoulders.  He propelled himself closer into Angel’s arms and sought his body heat.

“Are you cold? I just felt you shiver.”

It was amazing how Angel went from daydreaming with a faraway look in his eyes to one of immense concern in a split second.

Tommy sunk lower under the water, seeking its thermal insulation.  “It’s getting cold.  Let’s go back to the blanket.”

Angel took his hand and they glided to the shore.  Once they stood erect above the water, it no longer offered protection.  The cool morning breeze was sharp against their naked, wet bodies and goose bumps rose on their flesh.  Angel grabbed the discarded blanket and they huddled underneath it while they raced to the pile of bed linens sprawled on the beach.  Tommy fell onto the pillows first and Angel fell into his lap.

“I didn’t bring any towels.”  Angel piled the sheets and blankets on top of Tommy.  “You must be freezing with all that wet hair on your back.  Let’s go back to the room.”

“No.  The sun will be up in a few minutes.”  Tommy snuggled closer to Angel so their hips touched and adjusted the blanket so it enveloped the both of them and left only their faces uncovered.  The sun’s rays peeked out and touched them with its warmth.

Angel snuggled closer, eradicating any space that may have been left between them.  He rubbed Tommy’s thigh with a brisk urgency.  “Are you warmer now?”

“Yes.”  He was inclined to lie if it meant Angel would roughly massage his leg again.  The erection that the cold water robbed from him returned and it bounced between his legs.  He squinted in the direction of the water.  “We left our underwear by the shore.”

“No worries.  I’ll get them before we go back into the hotel.  I don’t want you to catch cold again.  Let’s stay here where it’s warm.”

Angel’s lips fell on Tommy’s shoulder and rested there.  His warm breath spread a layer of heat down Tommy’s chest.  The heavy blanket, the rising sun, and Angel’s mouth on his flesh, made it very warm under the blanket. Tommy pushed it from his head and let the sun bathe his face with its rays.

Angel glanced up to the sky.  “The rising sun glistens off your wet hair like a golden halo, and your eyes match the color of the awakening sky.  Tu eres tan bello como el sol subiendo en la mañana.”

“What does that mean?”  Tommy’s heart quickened at the sound of the beautiful, romantic Spanish words.  They transported him back in time to when they first met.  It wasn’t often that Angel spoke to him in Spanish anymore, but when he did, it made Tommy melt inside.

Angel brushed the back of his hand across Tommy’s cheek.  “It means you are more beautiful than the sunrise.”

Tommy sighed.  “I don’t know how I ever found you, A.  Or how someone can be so romantic.”

“If I remember correctly, I found you.  On the internet while searching for a new guitar player.  I searched for weeks, but no one caught my eye the way you did.  Actually, it was your gift that first captivated me.  I had my eyes closed while I listened to an amateur video of one of your performances.  I was spellbound by your talent.  When I opened my eyes and finally saw you for the first time,” Angel took a deep breath, “you stole my heart, Tommy Blade, like a thief in the night.”

“You never told me that story.”

“There’s so much I never told you about those days when I didn’t know if we would ever be together.  Like how I used to pine for you at night, never taking a lover because my heart was already married to you.  I used to hug my pillow to my chest to prevent it from breaking in two.  One night I cried into it for fear that a relationship with you was too absurd to work.  I was afraid that in the long run you would leave me, and I would perish.  You are my prince, my knight in shining armor.”

There were no words that could follow anything as sincere and heartfelt as Angel’s declaration of love and patience.  The blanket slipped from Tommy’s shoulder while he reached for Angel.  He placed the palm of his hand on Angel’s cheek and his lips on Angel’s waiting mouth.  The taste of salt water seasoned their kiss.  Tommy drew Angel’s tongue into his mouth and claimed possession.  He never wanted Angel more than he did at that moment, on the sandy shores of Hong Kong, under the dawning morning sun.  Without disturbing the unification of their mouths, Tommy crawled toward Angel and guided him down onto the blanket.  He lay lengthwise on top of Angel, securing the blanket so it shielded their naked lower half.  “The sky may not be plum colored anymore, but we’re still going to make love underneath it.”

“I would love nothing more, but it’s daylight.  Someone will see us.”

“No they won’t.”  Tommy pulled the large blanket over their heads so they were completely covered.  He would have opted for the lightweight sheet, but its transparency would offer a silhouette of their bodies to probing eyes.  Tommy moved his lips to Angel’s neck and pressed his pelvis into Angel.  He rotated his hips clockwise while Angel rotated his hips in the opposite direction.  Their cocks tangled together in a twisted frenzy of pleasure.  Their bodies fit together perfectly.  They were made for one another.  Their movements were in sync, offering each other stimulation without the use of their hands.

Tommy ran his tongue down Angel’s neck and across one flawless pectoral muscle.  He found Angel’s erect pink nipple and held it between his teeth while he teased it with his tongue.  He licked his way down Angel’s torso, lapping up the sea’s residue on Angel’s spectacular abs.  They were tiny mountains sprinkled across Angel’s belly, each a conquest for Tommy’s adventurous tongue.

He took Angel’s cock in his hand.  The rich, salt water had nourished it, and it grew larger than before in both length and circumference.  Tommy used his hand and his tongue to stroke it and was rewarded with a drop of tangy dew from its tip.  Angel pulled his knees to his chest and tilted his pelvis upward for easy access to his perfectly-shaped ass.  His legs raised the blanket, creating a tent above them.  Tommy lowered his mouth and tasted the inside of Angel’s thigh.  His tongue navigated down to the hot round hole that he hungered for.  Angel’s body smoldered from within and the heat poured out, drenching Tommy’s tongue with fiery warmth that consumed his mouth.

Angel panted and moaned and his breath heated the space under the blanket like a furnace.  “Stop,” Angel whispered “I can’t hold out much longer.  You touch me and ignite my body on fire with your teasing tongue and those succulent lips.”

“Sweet talk me all you want,” Tommy purred against Angel’s inner thigh.  “I’m not done down here.”  He returned his lips to Angel’s bottom and then teased it with his finger.  He searched for the bottle of lube and found it in the folds of the sheets.  He added a generous amount to his fingers and prodded Angel’s body.  Only the tip of his finger passed the entrance.  The inside of Angel’s body was an inferno.  It was a sweltering tunnel of clenching muscle.  Angel bucked and grunted as Tommy’s finger disappeared down to the knuckle. Angel lifted the blanket from his head to let in a gust of cool air and the salted breeze filtered into Tommy’s nostrils.  He worked his finger into Angel’s bottom, searching and twisting until he found the hard knot that was about to send Angel into a spasm.  Tommy put gentle pressure on it and circled it with his finger.  Angel moaned and his body convulsed in tune to the movement of Tommy’s hand.  He wanted to add another finger, but he didn’t think it would be a smooth entry and he didn’t want to hurt Angel.  Plus, by the sounds and heavy breaths coming out of Angel, he couldn’t last much longer.

Angel grabbed a chunk of Tommy’s hair and tried to pull him up.  “I can’t take any more.  I need to make love to you.”

Tommy slipped his finger out, wiped it on the sheet and lay down next to Angel.  He lifted the blanket so the brisk air allowed them to cool off, otherwise there was a good chance he would succumb to heat exhaustion under the cover that shielded their lovemaking.

Angel rolled toward Tommy and reclaimed his position on top.  They became entangled in the linens and the blanket slipped from over their heads.  Angel quickly pulled the blanket back in place.  The last thing they needed was to get caught making love on the beach.

Angel’s lips brought the heat back to Tommy’s neck.  He leaned his head to the side to give Angel’s mouth better access.  Teeth grazed Tommy’s flesh.  He waited for them to strike, holding his breath anticipating the sharp pain.  He braced himself, but Angel’s thick tongue moved lower as it graced his body.  It covered his chest and sucked on a nipple.  Tommy’s nerve endings were alive and announced their presence with a tingle that danced around his lower half.

Angel’s lips and tongue tickled Tommy’s abs.  He tightened his muscles and held his breath, but couldn’t control the small laugh that bubbled from his throat.  Sharp teeth sunk into his belly and captured a chunk of his flesh.  It took Tommy by surprise and his shoulders jumped off the sheet.  Angel clamped down harder, squeezing the sensitive flesh and sucked it with gentle pressure.  Tommy cried out from the pain, but it was mixed with a hot rush of adrenaline that made the blood rush to his head.  Angel released his hold and examined his handy work with a satisfied smile.  Tommy didn’t have to look to know that it was a beautiful mess of purple dots.  It was a badge that he would wear with pride.  Whenever he would look down at it, he would be reminded of this glorious day on the beach.  When it faded, he would miss it.
