Blue Moon III: Call of the Alpha (17 page)

OmegA

Gods, it feels so good. I’m so tired.
Omega was resisting his natural tendency to be led. He hadn’t had to obey Alpha in almost two years, now he was supposed to take on another alpha to boss him around for the rest of his domesticated life. Yes, he was able to anticipate orders and execute them swiftly and accurately, but Alpha had been more than just his leader and mentor. He’d really been like a big brother. Had got him out of more trouble than Omega cared to mention… when he thought back, he remembered just how much trouble Alpha used to bail him out of. Even the few months Omega had run off on his own, he’d almost dug a hole he couldn’t get himself out of and Alpha had to come out of resting and guide him again. Maybe Alpha didn’t hold that last part against him, especially since it was how he met his commander.

If Omega went back to the Order to continue to fight for justice, he had to admit he was hesitant to go it all alone. He’d never had to do that. When the Elders saw how he responded to authority, how he excelled under their praise, they’d quickly paired him with the strongest assassin and let them make history together. Alpha and Omega’s names – but not their faces – were known and feared all around the world. He wanted that again, needed it, but Alpha was done fighting. Once they cleared out the rebellion in the Order, Alpha would come back to the Americas with his cherished and live happily ever after.

Heaven knew Lion was an amazing man. Omega couldn’t refute it. From the moment he saw him remove his hood, he’d been fighting his urge to climb the tall man. If the circumstances of their meeting had been different, then he wouldn’t have hesitated to take the man to the nearest hotel and let him fuck him for hours, but that wasn’t possible. He actually did respect the big assassin too much to lead him to think Omega wanted the same thing he did. He wouldn’t be anyone’s househusband. He had too much fight left in him for that.

He scoffed before he realized it, not meaning to voice his irritation.

“Is this uncomfortable?” Lion’s deep voice almost startled him he’d been so relaxed and deep in thought.

“What? Oh. No, I’m done soaking.” Omega moved to sit up, his aching muscles still screaming about how stupid he was to beat his body down like that. How the hell was he supposed to face all those men out there? Was he supposed to limp out of his room on Lion’s arm and let him lower him gently to the dinner table? Fuck! What had he done? His master had been right. Was always right. Omega would always need guidance. Truth of the matter was, he’d freaked out when he realized that Lion was bigger, stronger, and faster than him. Even though their identities were secret, it was no mystery amongst their kind that Alpha was the best and then Omega. No man, assassin, dictator, or criminal had ever bested him fighting. As soon as Lion showed his animal style, Omega felt inferior and did something stupid. Alpha had always made him feel like an equal, regardless that he’d heeded Alpha’s advice.

“Easy, Eriktor. I’m not done,” Lion said softer. His voice was so rough, and when he tried to talk gently, it made Omega’s skin sprout chill bumps all over.

“I don’t feel any better. But I do smell better, so thanks for that, but if you don’t mind—”
I think a BC powder is all that can help right now.
He wouldn’t dare admit that out loud, but he had a few over-the-counter meds inside his duffle in a special cut out compartment. As soon as Lion left, he’d take a double dose and it should be enough to get him standing and stretching out his too-tight muscles.

“Can I try one last thing, before you give up on me?” Lion asked.

Omega didn’t know why, but he didn’t like the way that sounded. He wasn’t giving up on anyone. He just… Damnit! What was it about that man that made him rethink everything he said? One thing he did know is it was slowly driving him insane. He needed space, he needed to think alone, he needed to stop explaining himself. “I’m not giving up. Shit, man. I just want to get out this fucking tub and from between your big ass legs.”

Lion chuckled deeply and stepped out of the tub, grabbing one of the huge towels and drying off his shins and feet. Omega really wished he could’ve moved faster, but the bath had only given him a minimum amount of improvement. He shakily got to his feet and secretly rejoiced that his legs didn’t cramp, but he still had to get out of the deep tub and not fall face first to the floor. Before he could think of how to do that, he was hefted up into solid arms and hugged close.

“For fuck’s sake!” Omega snapped. He didn’t want to be in Lion’s arms again, certainly not while he was so alert. “I can walk.”

“You got a filthy mouth, you know that?” Lion smiled down at him as he held on tight and took him back to his room. He sat him on the chair facing the television and brought a towel to him. “Must be from living in the States for so long. People really do curse a lot here. I’ve actually seen signs posted that prohibited swearing in certain areas. Now that must mean it’s a serious problem.”

“Sorry to offend your sensitive ears, pure one. But my mouth wasn’t too filthy for you to put your tongue in yesterday.”

Lion gave him a serious look. It was clear the man didn’t like Omega’s language or his attitude.

Good. Maybe he’ll leave me be.

“There’s nothing pure about me, Erik, I just think you can express yourself to me without the cursing.”

“If you leave, then you won’t hear my filthy mouth.”

“I will leave you to rest as soon as I’m done.” Lion brought his kit into the room. “You finished drying off?”

Omega sighed. He felt so damn out of control. He couldn’t even have his own room to himself. “Yeah.”

“Good. Lie down, I’m gonna rub your muscles.”

Omega rolled his eyes. Even though he was ready to be alone. He needed the rub, or his muscles did. He’d planned to rub them himself when Lion left, but he guessed that wasn’t going to happen until the man was good and damn ready, but the least he could do… “Can you at least put your goddam—” Omega stopped suddenly when Lion’s head whipped around so fast his long blond hair flew over his shoulder and Omega quickly backpedaled. “Can you at least put your shirt back on?”

Omega wasn’t too pleased with the amused smirk Lion wore while he pulled out several travel bottles of lotions, but at least he put his shirt back on. “I apologize. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”

“You didn’t.”

“Mmm hmm,” Lion said distractedly as Omega watched him survey each bottle carefully.

He turned his head back, was looking out the window when he felt a side of the bed dip drastically. “Turn over on your back for now. I’ll start there.”

Omega was barely able to turn his body but he was glad that Lion let him do it on his own. No sooner had he got settled, than Lion’s large hands were on his strained abs, rubbing on one of the lotions in a relaxed circle.

Oh, goddamn! Oh, shit it felt good. Lion’s big hands covered his torso so perfectly, almost like they were designed to fit him. Omega sealed his lips tight together. Hell no. He wasn’t about to start moaning and whimpering. Then he felt a huge weight on his thighs – not realizing he’d closed his eyes – and slowly cracked his lids open only to look up into bold golden eyes and a startling, defenseless smile. Like Omega completely unarmed Lion and he was open to let him see the real him. What was it like to be so unguarded? So trusting. He feared he’d never know. Drop his defenses… no way. He’d never let someone rule his mind, body, and soul.

Lion looked so pleased with himself and Omega fought even harder not to make a sound. He soon realized he was going to fail that self-test too.

“You can tell me how good it feels. It’s just me and you here. I’ve had this type of massage before. I know what it feels like, especially on worn muscle.”

“Oh yeah? Have a lot of men straddled you and rubbed their hands all over your body and claimed they were doing it to heal you?”

Lion laughed loudly and Omega refused to acknowledge how sexy it sounded. He could listen to that genuine laugh for the rest of… fuck! Lion was digging his knuckles on either side of his obliques, working his body like a professional. He paused for a second and Omega heard the click of a bottle cap and had to close his eyes at the hiss wanting to escape him. He was sure Lion was getting oil for his massage but the sound made a vision flash in front of him. A vision of Lion letting the fragrant liquid drip down his crease into Omega’s waiting hole. Then the erotic sound of his fingers breeching and stretching him. Shit. Now he was hard. So hard that his cock twitched and pulsed on its own. The image was just too vivid… too wonderful.

His breathing stopped and he gasped for air when Lion’s hands smoothed down over his aching ribs and slid under his back, fanning over Omega’s spine. His eyes rolled. Lion flipped him easily. His oily stomach now flat against the cool cotton sheets. Lion gripped his hips and slowly lifted his bottom up in small degrees until a series of pops rang out in the quiet room. “Ugghh. Mmmm, fuck,” Omega whispered painfully. But it sure felt good now. Lion eased his stomach back down to the bed, those talented hands moving back up his back. Lion’s fingers were tracing each vertebrae, like he was making sure they were all there. Then, when he got midway, he palpitated around a particularly sensitive muscle and took the heel of his hand and snapped down quick and hard, a loud crack causing Omega to curse and clench the bedding.

“Fuck, man?!” Omega wanted to turn over and kick Lion off of him, but when he turned back to look at his torturer, he noticed that tight pain that’d prevented him from bending felt non-existent.
What did he do to me?

“It only hurts a split second. I know what I’m doing. I’d never harm you, Erik.” Lion looked so serious. “Trust me… please.”

Omega kept watching Lion’s face, his neck cramping painfully as he made sure he didn’t turn and miss a single sign, any sign of deceit or dishonesty. He was good at that, he knew the signs. But Lion gave him none. There was nothing in those gorgeous eyes but sincere care. Maybe he does… Shit. He berated himself for hoping, even for just a second. This meant nothing really. Lion could probably control his reactions and manipulate just as well as he could… well actually, better than him.

Pop, pop, crack. Was the man a chiropractor? Ugh. Damnit. Lion moved over Omega’s whole body, snapping vertebrae, cracking joints, stretching tendons. When he got down to the calves, Omega couldn’t hold it in anymore, he moaned his relief out loud when Lion gripped his foot and began to knead in the arch, his toes curling on their own.

“I know that feels good,” Lion said easily, his legs spread wide while he pounded the tough muscle in Omega’s calf with the side of his meaty fist.

“Yeah,” Omega crooned, his eyes closed, his body fully embracing the treatment. He got used to the sharp popping rather quickly, the stretching was harder, but he took it. It was his atonement for being so reckless. He wanted to blame Lion for everything, but it wasn’t his fault that Omega had freaked and lost his shit. Beating his body to a pulp out in the wild for hours upon hours wasn’t going to make him bigger, stronger, or faster enough to ever best Lion. It was a hard pill to swallow and an excruciatingly painful lesson learned.

“Turn over.” Lion’s voice had gone several octaves lower and Omega froze. His mind finally caught up to his semi-sated body and he realized he was about to flip over and damn near slap Lion in the chin with his hard dick. He’d been hard the whole time, very discreetly grinding his erection into the firm mattress. He hoped Lion was so engrossed in his task that he hadn’t noticed.
