Blue Moon III: Call of the Alpha (18 page)

Lion

Lion sure as heck noticed that hard cock. Omega had it the entire time Lion was working him over. Strained and leaking into the sheets beneath them. He’d first felt it when he reached beneath Omega and pulled up on his stomach, the tip just barely touched Lion’s hand but he knew what it was and he wanted to rejoice. Attraction may not seem like an important quality when considering a partner, but Lion had always believed it was. He was so beyond attracted to Omega that it bordered on painful.

Omega was able to turn over a lot faster than he had forty minutes ago, before the massage started. There was a fine sheen of perspiration across Lion’s brow and tiny beads of moisture had built up on his upper lip and nose from barely controlling his lust. He was getting himself worked up rubbing Omega’s fine body like he was. He stayed extra conscious of what he was doing – spinal adjustments required concentration – not wanting to cause more injury, but it was easy to lose himself in so much flawless skin. Damn, then that long cock was right there, pointing straight at him. Teasing him. Lion blinked slowly and drew in a long, slow breath, releasing it the same way. Then did it again. Finally, when he felt he could touch Omega without pouncing, he poured some more lotion in his hands and rubbed them briskly, warming his touch before he gently placed them back on Omega’s clenching abs.

What was worse was the fact that Omega didn’t look the least bit fazed by his situation. His dick was blushed and leaking, but those cold gray eyes were emotionless. Could this man feel anything? How did he not see how compatible they were? Both were fighters for a good cause, they had animal styles that complimented each other, and both were meticulously trained killers. Like he thought – absolutely perfect for each other.

He was almost done and Omega had lost a little of his hardness when Lion was manipulating his ribs, the pain too much to ignore. Each grunt of discomfort made him grit his own teeth. He should only be pleasuring him, caring for him, not causing him more pain. This was not in his plan, but if there was one thing he knew how to do, it was adapt and adjust. Meet any situation head on. That’s why his master had chosen the tiger style for him, it fit his personality.

So he was going to do just that. He got off Omega and stretched his own legs, letting him get a little breathing room before he did the cool down. “I’ll be right back.” Lion went in the bathroom and washed his hands, taking a second to lean on the vanity and gather himself. He wanted the man in the next room so bad his teeth ached. He wanted to kiss him, lick him, hold him and cherish him. It’s what they were encouraged to do. The Order never demanded a life of complete solitude for its assassins. There were monks that served the Order, but Lion was not a monk, neither was Omega. The Elders celebrated a partnership, a pairing. It was believed you were personally blessed by fate if you were granted real love. Was Omega the one man he’d ever encountered in all his travels who truly wanted to be alone forever? Lion stood up to his full height. Well, he wasn’t going to let him. Omega was his. Period. But he was going to need an ally to advocate for him, someone on his side, someone Omega trusted. And as far as Lion knew, there were only two men on earth that fit that bill. Omega’s master, who was not accessible to Lion at this time… and then Alpha.

When Lion came back into the bedroom, he was met with soft snores and an ethereal view as the early afternoon sun filtered through the large bay window and beamed directly on Omega’s relaxed body. He looked his fill. Lion’s possessive eyes bored over every single inch of bronze skin. He could watch him sleep for hours, just like Lion had the night before. By the time Lion had got back to Hawk’s home Omega was in a deep sleep stage, because Lion had put him there. No sooner had he entered the clearing, Lion looked up and saw Alpha watching him from the balcony with Call by his side. Watched Lion walk right past him with his brother in his arms.

Instead of going through the front door, he went around and came in through the side entrance and quietly eased into Omega’s room and closed them off from the outside world. While he was getting Omega undressed to put him to bed, he’d heard a light tap on the door that he ignored. He had only one duty until they went back over the vast ocean to Iran… Omega. Lion hadn’t moved the entire night. He’d stayed right there just in case he was needed.

Blinking out of his thoughts, and after watching Omega sleep for a few more minutes, he got his last bottle – his own blend of lavender, geranium, bergamot, jasmine, palmarosa, and a touch of Melissa oil for Omega’s confidence – to rub over his neck, chest, and shoulders. He didn’t climb over top of Omega this time, not wanting to be on the receiving end of a startled snake. Lion smirked. He liked the sound of that.

Dropping a nice size dollop in his hand, he sat on the side of the bed and carefully placed both palms over Omega’s pecs. He’d massaged enough, now he simply lavished Omega’s compliant body with soothing touches, so soothing that Omega began to mumble nonsense, but Lion did pick up a few of the French words. Like, good and home. Lion heard it. He’d made Omega feel good, made him feel like going home. Yes. Lion closed his eyes and kept rubbing.

“You’re still here,” Omega said tiredly, sounding inebriated.

I can always be with you if you let me.
Lion wanted to say just that but he held his tongue. While he was used to storming headfirst into a problem, Omega was a retreater, his animal style relayed that he was the type to let things roll off him. Better yet, make the problem become someone else’s problem. He didn’t want to generalize Omega, but those qualities were known to be prevalent in that particular style. “Yeah, I’m right here. Almost done. Just breathe in the scents and try to get back to sleep. Let your body rest and heal.”

“I already feel better. You said trust you and it worked,” Omega said it so low, almost disbelievingly. Like he was trying to convince himself.

Lion looked up. Omega’s eyes were wide and dead center on him. “I’m glad,” Lion said sincerely. “I’ll leave and let you have that peace and quiet now.”

When Lion went to stand, Omega’s hand shot out and grabbed Lion’s wrist, holding him in place. They only stared at each other, no words needed to be spoken to understand what Omega needed next. Lion’s body betrayed his mind in two seconds flat because his nipples peaked from the chill of Omega’s eyes and his dick tented his comfortable pants.
Please give me strength.
Lion breathed hard through his nostrils, his heart pumping hard to keep oxygen circulating above his waist, but he still felt like he’d faint. Omega was offering himself to him and it was something Lion had been waiting for from the moment he heard Omega’s voice on the phone. He already knew that voice belonged to a man he could listen to talk for days. But this wasn’t it. It wasn’t right. Omega was only offering his body, nothing else, and that wasn’t acceptable. Call him a greedy bastard, call him whatever. But he’d have all of Omega or nothing.

Omega let go of Lion’s wrist and he watched with rapt fascination as Omega pumped his hips a couple times before gripping his cock and tugging the foreskin up and over the head. Lion groaned down in his gut. Oh, this was so hard. About as hard as his dick was right then.

“You wanna fuck me, Firuz. I can feel it. Smell it.” Omega’s tone dripped sex as he ran his other hand down his oily chest, over his abs, those long talented fingers slowly combing through the dark pubic hair at the base of his cock.

Lion gritted his teeth. How many tests did he have to be put through? Now he was going to have to turn Omega down and he wasn’t sure how well that would play out. He had a sneaking suspicion that Omega didn’t take rejection lightly. If he wasn’t careful, Lion would be stuck massaging and cracking more joints in a couple days, if he didn’t help get Omega under his control.

“If you want it… take it,” Omega all but purred.

Lion made a show of reaching into his own pants and adjusting his aching dick, needing Omega to know he was most certainly interested. When Omega licked his plump bottom lip, Lion thought briefly about throwing caution to the wind and taking his passion, but he knew he’d be unfulfilled after his release. His balls would be empty, but so would his heart.

Lion bent and turned off the lamp on the nightstand, then pulled the blinds closed, hopefully making the room dark enough that Omega could go back to sleep. The handsome man must’ve thought Lion was setting the mood because Erik’s grin was damn near predatory, but Lion had no room for error in his plan. Simply fucking Omega would ruin the little trust he’d established. So, instead of climbing in that inviting bed next to the man he was probably already falling for, he gripped the soft cotton sheet at the footboard and very slowly pulled it up over Omega’s tall erection and settled the material in the center of his chest.

“What’s this?” Omega asked, sounding annoyed and looking put off over technically being tucked in for an afternoon nap.

Lion’s voice was strong when he spoke, regardless that he felt so conflicted. “My will and determination are far stronger than my flesh. I won’t take you. Just give me a few days before this mission officially starts, and I will make you mine.” Lion left his bag in the room and turned and walked out the door. He needed to talk with Alpha and maybe meditate for a few hours.

When Lion left Omega’s room, he hadn’t realized how long he’d been in there, it was already after noon and his rumbling stomach let him know that he’d skipped a very important meal. He didn’t see any of the guys in the spacious home so he went to the kitchen and grabbed several pieces of fruit and some mixed nuts out of the pantry, deciding he’d just snack now so he could eat later with Omega.

Time was winding down. This Viper was supposed to be there at the end of the week and they were leaving the following afternoon. That gave him three more days. Long enough and not so much. After he ate his quick brunch in his room, he did his morning regimen he’d missed and cleaned himself well to prepare to meditate. Since it was already quite late, he limited his meditation time to two hours. Unfortunately, it calmed his body but not his spirit. That was a first. Maybe he just wasn’t able to center himself in the short amount of time with his mind so consumed.

He changed into another set of tan, light zubons and a comfortable thigh-length tunic with hand-sewn embroidery. It was made especially for him by one of the women in his village. None of them knew who Lion truly was, but they figured him someone important, so he was received with respect at home. His cherished would be received the same way. Not everywhere in their country accepted male pairings, but his home and the Order were safe for them.

When he walked up to Alpha’s door, it opened before he had a chance to knock. Hawk held the doorknob and with the other hand gestured for him to come in. Lion didn’t think he’d ever get used to the seer. It was like everywhere he looked, even in the night, he felt eyes of fire on him. He couldn’t say he fully blamed the ex-SEAL. If he was home with his partner, he’d be wary of a stranger – a killer – around him, too.

“Thank you,” Lion said to his host, ducking his head slightly as he walked past. He was significantly taller than Hawk and he couldn’t help but wonder what other talents the man possessed. Meaning, could he best him? Would he be able to anticipate all of Lion’s moves before he executed them? It was the assassin in him, he was trained to size up anyone in his company.

Alpha and Call’s room was nicer than his, and that was saying a lot, because his room was very accommodating. At first glance all he saw was the huge four-post king-sized bed in front of a decked-out cherry oak entertainment center, but around the corner, the room divided into a separate sitting area, and that’s where he found Alpha sitting on Call’s lap, a serene smile lighting up his dark features. A lump formed in his throat at what his own soul was missing. He was tempted to turn his head and give them some privacy, however when Hawk bumped his arm walking past him and dropped down in the other chair he took that as invitation.

“Is there something we can help you with?” Call asked.

Lion and Call had a rocky start at their first introduction, too many domineering presences in one room… like now. “I would like to request a moment of Alpha’s time, alone.”

“No,” Call threw back too fast.

Lion wanted to growl, flex his hand and give Call a few more scars on the other side of his superior face but he was far from stupid. Violence only begat more of it, so he’d be as respectful as possible. He needed Alpha and that meant he had to acknowledge his life partner. “Then a moment of both your time, please.”

Hawk rose to his feet, and Lion noticed he wore a simple pair of frayed jeans that looked quite constricting and uncomfortable and an army-green t-shirt. “I’ll leave you to it.” Hawk turned and gave Call a long stare before simply adding, “Hear ’em out, John.”

Hmm. Lion might have another ally. Could the seer really see his intentions? Could he see his future? Was Omega there? Was he on the right path? Stop! He refused to entertain that line of questioning, believing no one could tell him his fate. He waited for Hawk to leave before turning his full attention back on the happy couple. At least Alpha had climbed off Call’s wide lap, he couldn’t afford his thoughts to stray to his own wants. He came to Alpha in need of his assistance.
