W
alking down the long dark hallway of our school I grin widely as my pack falls in place behind me.

It consisted of my two best friends Harley Carter, and Ariel Whitaker.

They weren’t really my pack members but they were the closest thing I had to having a pack of my own other than the one that I had been born into under my father, the Alpha.

I too was an Alpha, but with the lack of new packs around I was unfortunately a lonely Alpha.

My friends and I practically owned the school so no one ever bothered us and as we walked down the hall everyone parted ways allowing us to pass without any issues.

My grin widens as every guy stared at us and every girl glared wanting to be us.

I was a goddess here and that was exactly how I liked it.

Flipping my long, pitch black, hair over my shoulder I stop dead in my tracks as my father steps into the hallway before me.

His dark grey eyes stare me down before two other men join him.

Raising my brow in question he only gives me a quick wink before turning to talk to the others.

“Hey, Parker, isn’t that your dad?” Ariel questions as she comes up to my side.

Glancing over at her I nod. “Yes, that’s my father.”

“Wonder what he’s doing here, you didn’t do anything wrong, did you?” Harley inquires curiously.

Shrugging, I turn the corner with my friends by my side continuing on our way towards our next destination. “I don’t think I did anything wrong.”

My father had a lot of rules for me, some that were at times hard to abide by, but I had been his good girl.

The no human boyfriend policy had gotten a little lax though.

I had hidden that from him pretty well.

At least I thought I had, I wasn’t so sure about that now.

Maybe I had messed up somewhere along the line.

“The way he looked at you was the same way my dad looks at me when I’ve done something bad.” Ariel laughs as we enter into our art class.

“You don’t think he found out about you and lover boy, do you?” Harley asks.

My friends knew all of my father’s rules, I hadn’t kept anything from them other than the fact that I could transform into a wolf at will.

That kind of secret was sacred to our kind.

If we broke it, it meant life or death.

Humans weren’t supposed to know about the creatures that went bump in the night.

If they did they would kill us out of fear.

We would be hunted down to near extinction just like our ancestors had been.

“We’ve been careful, but it’s possible he may have found out.” I sigh taking my seat across from Ariel and Harley.

Our conversation ends as our teacher, Mrs. Martin, walks in and sits down at her desk.

We were in an advanced art class so she really didn’t do much in the way of teaching, she just sat at her desk doodling some of her own work or grading work from other classes.

Pulling out my drawling pad I open it to the sketch I had been working on for the past few weeks.

It was an image I couldn’t get out of my head when I slept at night.

It was a pure white wolf.

That kind of wolf was just as rare as an onyx wolf.

My dreams had been so vivid that it felt as if the wolf had been right in the room with me, and it was almost as if he could feel everything that I could.

Placing my headphones over my ears I fall into my work, quickly getting sucked into my wolf’s deep eyes.

This was the one place where I was completely free to express myself and just get lost in my own world.

Halfway through the class Ariel leans over to tap my arm, which was very unlike her since she knew how much I enjoyed this time to myself and normally neither of my friends ever interrupted me.

“Parker, check out the new meat.” She whispers as I take my headphones and slide them around my neck.

Looking up towards Mrs. Martin’s desk I had no clue that I would be looking into the darkest green eyes and black hair that I had ever seen, next to my own.

My heart skips a beat as he lets out a low growl, which only a wolf like me could possibly hear.

And that was my answer as to why my father had been here with the other men.

His eyes stay locked on mine as another person walks in behind him with a wide friendly grin and the bluest eyes and soft brown hair that a girl could easily get lost in.

“Holy cow, can they get any hotter.” Harley fans herself breaking the connection between me and the first black haired guy.

As yet another guy joins the class I swear my friends were about to swoon.

The third was a blonde god that was just my type. If only his smell wasn’t that of a beta’s.

After a few moments Mrs. Martin stands before her desk demanding our attentions.

The class goes completely silent.

“It seems we have some newcomers to the class today.” She motions towards the three guys. “Please, join me in welcoming, Gage Massey, Dillon Savage, and Rowan Gray, to our class.”

I groan as my friends and the entire class falls into hushed whispers.

There was only so much I could take.

Rolling my eyes I place my headphones back over my ears to drown them all out.

But as I place my full attention back to my sketch a dark shadow falls over me stopping my progress.

My head swings up to look at Mrs. Martin with a friendly smile.

Pulling my headphones away I wait for her to speak.

“Parker, I hope you won’t mind, but until we get some more desks in here I’m going to have to ask you to share your desk with Gage, and Rowan.”

I answer her through gritted teeth. “I don’t mind at all, Mrs. Martin.”

She leaves with a smile and I close my eyes as I feel their presence behind me.

Ignoring them, I place my headphones back on but turn down the music just enough so if they were to talk I would hear them easily.

Thankfully they stay silent, but I could feel their eyes on me.

Glancing over at Ariel and Harley for some sort of distraction I let out a little snort of laughter when I see them fawning all over Dillon.

“Ah, she can speak and she can laugh.” A voice cuts in behind me.

I can’t help the low growl that bubbles from my lips.

“And…I pissed her off.” The voice then laughs.

Turning back to my sketch pad I ignore them as much as possible even though the blonde one just keeps on talking.

“Geez, man, this is going to be one tough cookie to crack.” He states.

“You’re going to end up getting yourself punched, Rowan.” A deep voice warns sending shivers through my body.

“Nah, she wouldn’t punch me, would you girlie?” His hand lands on my shoulder and in an instant my head turns to glare at him.

“Okay, maybe she would punch me.” He states pulling his hand away from me quickly.

Another low growl falls from my lips.

“Just leave her alone, Rowan. She doesn’t want anything to do with us.” Gage orders before turning to face the front of the class.

Instead of leaving me alone Rowan blocks my view of Gage with a wide grin on his face. “Please, don’t kill me. I just wanted to make friends.”

He holds out his hand to me. “I’m Rowan, and this guy behind me is Gage.”

Lowering my headphones I nod choosing not to shake his hand.

It wasn’t our way of saying hello.

Instead, I tilt my head to the left and brush my hair over my shoulder to expose my neck.

He grins even wider. “So, you are friendly.”

I force a grin. “It’s rare for me to be friendly to strange guys I don’t know anything about.”

Rowan’s eyes glance down to my sketch and then back to my eyes with question.

“It’s something I keep dreaming about.” I answer his unspoken question.

He nods before pulling out two sketch books, placing one in front of Gage before taking the other and opening it to a fresh page for himself.

I watch them both for a few moments as they begin working.

Both of them seem to get lost in their sketches much like I did.

Placing my headphones back over my ears I turn my music up loud enough that Rowan begins tapping his foot against the floor to the beat.

His knee brushes against mine until I see Gage grab hold of his other leg with a strong grip.

I swear Rowan gulps with fear.

Just as I’m about to defend him the door to the classroom opens and in comes yet another stranger.

This time I take my headphones off completely.

I was never going to get any work done.

Both Gage and Rowan curse beside me and I look to them in question.

“You’ve got to be kidding me, why is Brock here?” Rowan questions Gage.

“He’s here for the same reason we are.” Gage answers with a rough sigh.

I lean to look past Rowan to Gage. “And why exactly are all of you here?”

Instead of answering he pins me with a glare.

Rowan sighs looking between the two of us before closing his eyes. “We’re here because of you. I’m sure you’ve had to have figured that out by now, right?”

“No one ever warned me that a bunch of new guys were going to show up in my school today.” I sigh slouching down in my seat as the newcomer’s eyes lock onto mine.

Thankfully, the bell rings minutes later ending the class and sparing me from having to deal with another stranger.

Waiting for Ariel and Harley by the door I pretend to be searching for something in my bag as Rowan, Gage, and Dillon walk by.

“See you at home, Parker.” Rowan calls out.

I stop and look up at him as my jaw drops.

“Crap.” I mutter to myself.

My father wouldn’t do that to me, would he?

“Oh, my god, they’re too hot, Parker. That Gage guy couldn’t take his eyes off of you.” Ariel swoons as we walk together down the hallway towards our lockers.

“Yeah right, he was glaring at me the whole time.” I scoff.

“No, he was looking at you like he wanted to eat you up, Parker.” Harley disagrees.

I sigh as I reach my locker and begin turning the dial.

It clicks open and I shove my books inside before pulling out the ones I needed out.

Pulling out my jacket I slip it on before slipping my bag over my shoulders, and then I pull out my helmet before shutting my locker.

“Are we still getting together tonight for movie night?” Harley asks as she slips on her brown suede jacket.

I shrug. “I have no idea, it seems my dad has a few things to explain to me when I get home, but I’ll call you and let you know if I’ll be able to come over.”

She nods before walking away with Ariel following behind with a small wave in my direction.

I grin as familiar arms reach around my waist pulling me back.

“Did you miss me today?” Andy kisses my cheek.

I smile and turn in his arms wrapping my own arms around his neck. “Of course I missed you.”

Swiping his blonde hair from his eyes I press my lips to his.

Pulling back he smiles. “Are we still going out tonight after movie night?”

“I don’t know, I’ve got a lot of things going on at home today but I’ll text you and let you know what’s going on when I sort it all out.” I reply.

“Alright, Babe, I’ll be waiting for it.” He kisses me quickly one last time as a group of football players walk past. “I’ve got to go practice.”

I nod and pull him in for one more kiss before letting him go.

Watching as he turns the corner I don’t notice the presence behind me until his voice rings out. “Seems you’ve been keeping secrets from daddy, huh?”

I turn to face Gage. “What’s it matter to you?”
