Bound to Her: Three Dates With a Billionaire (7 page)

Why had he been so wooden in the part?

I smiled, I stood in the shelter of his arm, and when he finally went back through the stage door, we went in hand in hand. He towed me away, down a narrow hallway. I barely had time to glance behind, to make sure Cindy had made it inside before he dragged me through a door and slammed it behind us.

He had me against that door, my panties down and his hand on my sex before I could gasp, “What are you doing?”

“I need you.”

That was all he said, but what could I do? I had a dressing gown at my back and above me was a row of coathooks. He hoisted me up, so my head grazed the bottom of the hooks, grabbed a condom from his pocket, unzipped and sheathed himself one-handed. I was still admiring his technique when he moved closer and drove into me, fastening his mouth on to mine at the same time.

My body slammed against the door with every stroke, but I was in heaven, as Troy pounded me into submission. Frantically he hammered deep, his strokes hard and insistent as he shoved his tongue into my mouth, his tongue thrusting into my mouth in time with his cock into my body. He drove me up and over by the sheer force of his fucking, and I screamed long and loud.

He swallowed my cries, then grunted as his climax began. Tearing his mouth away from mine he threw his head back and groaned out his orgasm, his shaft throbbing inside me with his release.

Then he drew me close and carried me the short distance to the chair before his dressing table. I wanted to cuddle up to him, to have some tenderness to make up for our wildness, but he plumped me down on the seat and walked off into the shower room.

We didn’t cuddle. He held me sometimes, but I didn’t hold him back. He wouldn’t let me.

I heard the shower running, but I was too dazed to go in and join him. Given his propensity for not touching, I doubted he’d want me there. We were still no nearer getting past that. I sat there, wondering if I’d hit a brick wall. Before tonight I thought we were getting somewhere, but now I wasn’t so sure. He still refused to let me touch him during sex, and it was getting old. I wanted so much to touch him.

He came out, naked except for a towel wrapped around his waist. Pausing at the door, he said, “Are you still here?”

All I’d done was pull up my clothes. I was decent, but that was all. “Where was I supposed to be?”

He raised a brow. “I paid for the date. Oh, wait, the tip.” He crossed the room and dialed in a combination on a small safe in the wall, pulling out his wallet. He turned around, smiling like I was a stranger and opened the wallet. “How much did you say your student loan was?”

I told him.

He didn’t flinch, although the sum made me wince every time I thought about it.

He turned around, took his phone out of the safe and switched it on. “If you give me the details of your bank account, we can call that your tip.”

He was paying me off.
I stood, my hands clenched at my sides. “Is that it?”

“It’s more than I usually pay Madame’s girls.”

“That’s not what I mean...” I got up, my head spinning. “What the fuck is this? You want me, you don’t want me, you’re desperate, oh, wait I can go now. I’m dismissed.” All I wanted to do was get out of here. I needed to think, to work out what this meant. “I can’t do this. No amount of apologies will get me coming back for more. Keep your money!” Fury rocked me.

I stood at the door, the scent of our lovemaking clinging to the black silk robe hanging on the back. It teased me worse than anything else I could think of.

White-faced, he watched me, but said nothing.

“I’ll let Witley take me out rather than let you near me again.” Tears clung to my throat but I refused to let him see me like this. If I got away fast, I could leave with my head held high.

I touched the door handle. Turned it.

“Cassie!”

I was throwing everything away again. Doing it because I couldn’t do anything else, couldn’t let her into my life. I didn’t deserve her, and I couldn’t work out how to send her away without tearing her heart out. Mine didn’t matter.

Thank fuck, she turned around. She was stricken, her face pale, tears glimmering in her eyes. She lifted her chin. “What?”

If I let her go now, the one good thing in my life would walk out that door and never come back. I admired her so much; the way I’d treated her I deserved that she kick me in the balls before she walked out for good. A perverse streak in me wanted that. I just wanted her to leave me alone in my misery, to wallow and maybe destroy my dressing room in a fit of petulance. I’d done that before.

But I couldn’t let her leave. I still wanted her so much. “I’m sorry.”

“You can’t keep apologizing to me,” she said. “Not without an explanation. I can’t keep letting you treat me like this, apologize and then think it’s okay, because it isn’t.” Her voice broke on the last word, but she still didn’t cry. If she cried, I’d break wide open. In the past I’d taken my bad temper out of others, and now, with the evidence before me, I knew I couldn’t do that any more.

“Everybody has to grow up sometime,” I said. “Maybe my time is now.”

She folded her arms. At least she’d let go of that door handle. “Prove it. Talk to me.”

In this, the first book in a thrilling new trilogy, a Hollywood star on the ropes meets a woman who only has eyes for archaeology. They burn down the night and want more, but they have many battles before they reach their happy ending...

Working as an unpaid intern at her dream job leaves Cassie little time for herself, since she has to work two other jobs to pay the rent and eat. But when Hollywood bad boy Troy Cooper walks into her gallery at the museum, all she can think about is his gorgeous blue eyes and his beautiful body.

Her roomie introduces her to Madame X, the owner of the most exclusive escort agency in New York. All Cassie has to do is take three dates and she can pay off her worst debts. But the first date is with a sleaze, and she knows she can’t go through with it. Not until Troy shows up. He takes over the date—and takes her to bed. There, Cassie discovers something else about the sexy Hollywood actor, a kink she reluctantly agrees to, and then finds thrilling.

Troy is in New York to act in a play that’s his last chance. Despite being the son of one of Hollywood’s top producers, he’s blotted his copybook one time too many. If he doesn’t make a success of this, he’s finished. But when he meets Cassie, he’s a goner. When he discovers she’s an escort, he knows she could destroy everything he was fighting for.

The hell of it is, he can’t forget her. He still wants her, so badly that giving up his career starts to look like a viable option.

With fans pushing her out of the way, and Troy anxious about the play, Cassie’s caught between her job and his hard body. When the play finishes its run, he’s going back to LA and his role as superhero Foxman. How can they ever make it work?

Maybe she should give up and enjoy what she has while she has it, then let him go with a smile. So why is that so hard?
