I rolled my eyes as he talked. I’ve heard the same damn speech over and over. Alec Worthington is a nice guy. He may be perfect in some ways, but he was so boring and not really the man that I wanted. But my father wants me to be just like him, follow in his footsteps, so that’s the man that he picked out.

“I haven’t talked to him that much. Then again, I have been studying a lot on my own,” I replied.

“True. Well, I’m glad you’re doing good, Sweetie. I have a meeting here in just a second. I’ll call you later,” he stated.

“Thanks, Dad. I’ll talk to you later,” I replied. The phone clicked and I immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Sometimes it was hard talking to my dad.

I got dressed and texted Alec to tell him I was meeting up with him at the study group. We started to study, but my mind was too distracted. I had to stay focused, though, to do well on the test. My mind continued to flicker toward Chase. I needed to keep a calm head about myself and stay on a professional pathway since that was the best thing that I could possibly do. As much as I wanted to, thinking about other things wouldn’t help me when it came to schoolwork. I had to continue being my Dad’s
good little girl
.

Chase

I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Lila was gorgeous. I definitely wanted her like no other woman I’d met. Everything about her was perfect, from those gorgeous green eyes to her long hair that fell perfectly down her back. Even her voice entranced me. I tried to get my mind off her, but it was no use.

After I was denied that day, for the first time since Ava, I was pissed. I went back to my room and started to play guitar. That didn’t really help. I ended up falling asleep. I needed a release. The next morning, I called Heather. I was leaving sometime soon, but I didn’t know when. I had a lot of time to kill between shows. That’s where she came in.

I pushed her up against the wall and kissed her hard as I started to lightly push my hand under her tiny skirt. She was wearing a g-string, and I could feel the folds of her pussy starting to come out of it. She cried out as I continued to tease and caress her body. Moaning in pleasure at what I was doing, she placed her palms against the wall.

Heather was a groupie who left me her number the night I left Lila. I forgot to throw it away. She was good when it came to getting rid of some steam. One thing led to another and now she was in my bedroom.

I was fingering her pussy. It felt nice and I had a boner just from touching her. As I looked at her, I was reminded of Lila. Heather had beautiful brown hair and brown eyes. I continued to play with her, but I couldn’t stop thinking of Lila. It was super weird. I didn’t know what to do. I still continued to have some fun with her. It would at least help me relax for now.

I started to pull down her panties, pushing her shirt up at the same time. She wasn’t wearing a bra either. That was common of the groupie whores. They all seemed to think underwear in some shape or form was bad or that bras were stupid. Then again, Heather didn’t have the boobs that Lila did. Heather didn’t really need a bra. I started to suck on her tits while I moved my hand between her legs, scissoring my fingers inside her. Finally, she moaned and started to speak with ragged breaths.

“Stop playing around…fuck me,” she begged.

That got me hard even though I didn’t want to really do anything with her. I unfastened my pants and pulled them down along with my boxers. I pushed her up against the wall and spread her legs, letting them rest on me. I slowly moved in and out of her at first. My thrusts grew faster and faster. I just wanted this to be over. I wanted Lila, but I tried to focus on Heather.

I thrust harder and harder. Heather wore a crazed look. A string of moans escaped her when I hit her sweet spot, and I could feel the sweat coming off her skin. She was going nuts, and after a couple more thrusts, I finally felt my release coming. Of course, the only thing that finally helped me come was thinking of Lila.

I let out a low moan as my cock repeatedly jerked. She moaned, and her pussy walls contracted before she let out the loudest moan she had let out yet. After she finished pulsing around my cock, I pulled out of her. She moved to the bed and I sat next to her. I started to lightly stroke her hair, pretending it was Lila’s.

“Oh, that was good, Baby,” she said in a very soft voice.

“I’m glad.” It was such a fake response though.

I didn’t really care about her like that. I wanted Lila, who was different from Heather. Lila wasn’t like the groupies that walked around looking for a quick fuck. She was a refined and beautiful woman. I wanted her so badly, but I didn’t know if I could have her. I wanted something different from what these groupies could give me. Something that was love, that was caring for the other person; most of these women only wanted a dick inside of them. I had grown to hate that.

I had always been considered a bad boy. That’s how I got my image. Now that I looked back, I kind of regret everything I’d done. I didn’t want to be a bad boy anymore. I wanted to be with a real woman who loved me. Was that too much to ask?

I looked at my phone and realized that I had two weeks left until I had to leave for the next city on our tour schedule. I had two weeks to do this, to persuade Lila. I was damn sure I wasn’t going to fuck up at all.

I was going to make Lila mine no matter what it took.

Lila

The next day, I got up and headed out to school for my Natural History class study session. Even though I knew a lot about it, I had to go because I didn’t want to screw up on the test. Plus, Alec would be there and it would make my dad happy if I joined him for a study session.

When I got there, I was immediately stopped by something that I never expected. I almost turned away, but remembered hearing Natalie’s voice urging me last night about living a little. I stood my ground and looked at Chase, who was sitting on one of the benches that were around campus. He was wearing shades, but I could recognize that hair from a mile away. When he saw me, he gave me a small grin. I sauntered over to him, determined to find out why he continued to come to my school.

“What are you doing here?” I asked in a slightly defensive tone. I didn’t mean to act weird; I just didn’t like him trying to intrude on my space.

“I just wanted to see you. I wanted to ask you out. Maybe we can head downtown?” He didn’t look like he had any ulterior motives, so I didn’t think he was trying to make me just another notch on his pathetic rock-star bedpost. He seemed legit. I decided to humor him. Maybe Natalie was getting to me. Either way, I thought that it might be best if I at least try out a date with him.

“Sure. What do you have in mind?”

“You’ll see,” he said with a small smirk.

After I said yes, he grabbed my hand and we made our way downtown. It was only a few minutes away. He had a limo waiting for him and following him around. It annoyed me a little bit. After a second, I asked “Why is there a limo following us?”

“It’s my manager and bodyguards. He wants to make sure I don’t screw shit up and that I’m okay. I can tell him to go away if you want me to,” he replied.

“That would be appreciated,” I said.

He smiled and walked over to the limo. After a small encounter with the man, the car drove away and he looked back at me with a grin.

“You ready to hit the town?” he asked.

“Sure,” I replied. I thought it was weird, ditching my study session for this, but I didn’t give a damn. I really needed to live a little. I believed I would finally get to have fun with this man. Besides, it wasn’t the end of the universe if I missed a study session or two.

Chase

I couldn’t believe she said yes. I knew the third time was the charm. I walked with her downtown and we took the train over to the lakefront. We walked around there for a bit, then I took her over to The Bean. When we got there, she looked at her reflection and chuckled a little.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“Nothing. We just look so funny,” she replied.

I smiled at her reaction to the reflection in the mirror coating on the sculpture. I took out my phone and snapped a picture of it. This one wasn’t going up on my social media pages.

“Are you planning on putting that online?” Lila asked.

I flashed a warm smile. “Hell no. Unlike my bandmates, I try to live my personal life on the down low.”

Lila looked at me like I had two heads. I’m pretty sure she never expected me to say something like that.

“Wow, I can’t believe it. You’re definitely different than what I expected,” she said.

“Well, I try to. I mean my life wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows and a rock star career, so I do know how to behave myself,” I replied. I did have a very rich brother and my parents were well off as well, but I never tried to act like something I wasn’t just to impress the ladies.

She smiled and we continued to walk. We went to one of the science museums right up the road and looked around. It was kind of romantic, definitely different than the “dates” I went on with other chicks. After that, we went to another little restaurant where we ate and talked about our life. She seemed like a very grounded person, and it felt like the complete opposite of my lives. After that, I walked her back to campus since it was getting late. When we got there, she turned to me and smiled. “I have a question I want to ask you.”

“What is it?” I asked.

Lila

I couldn’t believe how real this guy was. I never thought I would actually go on a date with a rock star and not feel like beating the shit out of him. However, there was one question burning in my mind. I blurted out, “Why me? Why did you have an interest in me?”

Chase grew quiet, and I had trouble keeping calm. The suspense was killing me.

“Because you’re beautiful, real, and don’t try to throw yourself at me. I love that. It’s hard to find and very attractive. And you’re very down-to-earth, which is cool.” He looked completely sincere.

I never thought I would live to hear that a man liked me because I didn’t try to impress him. I don’t want them fawning over me.

“Thanks, Chase,” I said and moved closer to him. I could tell that he expected a kiss on the lips. Instead, I placed a chaste kiss on his cheek. I pulled away and smiled.

“You tease.”

“I know,” I replied with a smirk.

“So…will I see you again?” he asked with a pleading glance.

I gave him a sultry stare, loving the anticipation in his expression.

“Maybe.”

I walked away, leaving him hanging. Sometimes, playing hard to get was fun. I could tell that I left him wanting more. When I got back to my apartment, my roommate was smiling with excitement.

“So? I saw you two. What happened?” she asked.

“Well, we went all over Chicago and had a great day. He’s a really cool guy, and very down-to-earth. Like, holy shit, I don’t know what to feel,” I admitted. I did like him. After thinking about it, I had to wonder where the music industry found guys that looked like underwear models and turned them into rock stars.

“Well, good. I’m happy you gave him a chance,” she replied.

I smiled at Natalie and went back to my room. I immediately texted him and told him I wanted to go on a date Friday night. It seemed like a great idea, but I didn’t know just what I was getting into the minute I pressed

Chapter Four

Lila

That night came quickly and I was ready to party. I decided to try some things out and really live a little. After all, it’s not every day that a girl like me gets to have fun and go out with a rock star. I got a cute strapless red dress that didn’t hang very low. It showed off my toned legs. I straightened my hair and let it cascade down my back like usual. I put on some makeup, which was something I wasn’t that great at but I didn’t give a damn. I wanted to have some fun tonight. When I walked out, Natalie nearly spat out her mouthful of water.

“Holy crap,” she said.

I did a little twirl like a princess and flashed a fun, cheeky grin. “You like?”

“Sweetie, you’re going to knock him dead with that getup,” she replied.

I smiled, knowing full well that it was a compliment from her. She was happy to see me having some fun. I wasn’t going to go get drunk and end up naked at the end of the night, but I was going to be a sexy woman…for a change.

“Thanks,” I said.

I walked out the door and saw that the limo had already arrived. I got in it and smiled nervously at Chase.

“Hey there,” I said.

“Hey. You ready to have some fun?” he asked.

“Sure am,” I confidently said. The driver took us to one of the fanciest restaurants in Chicago. I was shocked that I would get to eat there with a guy. It felt surreal, like a dream come true. I was so excited. They seated us in the back so nobody bothered us. The waiter brought us our food immediately.

“This place is fast,” I said.

“I made sure that they didn’t linger around and leave us hanging. Besides, I wanted to make sure we had time to have fun at the other place I have planned for tonight,” he said.
