Chapter Nine

Cami tentatively stroked the hot velvet skin covering Aegis’s vibrating rod, the flesh so different from his scales. Firm, silken tentacles brushing her palm fascinated her, to say nothing of the pulsing rings and the addictive moisture slicking her fingers. The differences between his equipment and Jaxon’s were both daunting and shockingly erotic. The big warrior’s breeding parts awed her with their alien beauty and inspired a healthy fear at the same time. Truly he had a huge shaft. There was no getting around the obvious challenge. Even in the midst of mating euphoria, she worried about accommodating his enormous rod.

She would’ve slit her own neck before allowing a trace of
her doubts to show. Instinctively she knew rejecting this intimate part of him would hurt Aegis far more seriously than any temporary discomfort she might suffer.

She took a
nother deep breath, letting the males’ delicious scents calm her, and then let it out slowly.

Jaxon was almost as big, and her body had, by the
Goddess’s grace, stretched to embrace his shaft. After all, if she could stretch enough to birth a babe—and she had it on good authority this was possible—an extra-large stalk shouldn’t be a problem.

The challenge of c
onvincing Aegis remained. The big male had backed away from her until he seemed to be trying to press himself into the cabin wall.

“Do not touch me.”
His voice grated with a painful combination of stark fear and raw hunger even as his hips jerked, thrusting him against her hands.

She inhaled more of his heady fragrance and licked
her parched lips. She met his gaze, letting him see her empathy for his fear as well as her need. “I have to. I’m so sorry.” She took extra care peeling back the flap of his protective pocket, before freeing his thick stalk with its fringe of silky tentacles and then the heavy sac hanging below his impressive erection.

He bowed
his powerful neck in mute surrender, making her heart pinch with empathy for the proud male.

Unable to resist the
compelling desire to breed, she took the demon by the horns, literally and pulled herself up his body until she was within kissing range. His scent intoxicated her. Tasting him had the same effect, ramped up to the tenth power. She teased his lips with hers until he parted for her, and then sucked on his silky, long, forked tongue, swallowing his chocolate essence.

Although
she was almost as terrified as Aegis, every cell of her being demanded his seed in her womb. She had to obey the compulsion to breed. A dark and fiery passion flooded through her body, settling in pools of liquid heat. Her breasts swelled, her nipples tightened, and her sex rippled with excitement. The channel between her legs, already slick with Jaxon’s seed, grew damper with fresh evidence of her need to mate. Desire pulsed in her core like a second heartbeat.

Aegis braced against the cabin, his claws anchored in the metal wall, as hard and immobile as rock. If it hadn’t been for the shallow movement of his massive chest and the steady thud of his heart, he could’ve passed for a sculpture. A warm, aroused, and desperately frightened statue.

“Help me,” she pled with Aegis.

T
he scent of his arousal drove her wild, but the Tethysian warrior didn’t respond. She wasn’t sure he’d even heard her plea.

Jaxon answered her cry. “What do you need?”

His generous offer touched her all the more because she understood he yearned for intimacy with Aegis every bit as much as she did. “Can you lower me to his shaft?”

“No problem.” Jaxon gripped her full hips
with sure hands, taking her weight.

She sighed with relief. “Thank you.”

A hoarse chuckle huffed across the sensitive skin behind her ear. “You’ve gotta let go of those horns, sweetheart.”

Although he
supported most of her seventy-five kilograms and her arms trembled with fatigue, she still couldn’t release Aegis’s knobby horns. The velvety texture needed clutching, and her fingers refused to end the sensual massage. “I can’t.”

“’Kay.”
Jaxon paused, holding her with one hand as if she weighed nothing. “How about we try this?” He carefully wedged the head of Aegis’s mighty shaft against her sensitized channel.

A primal instinct had her
widening her plump thighs. She instantly lost the precious contact with his thick vibrating rope of arousal. An inadvertent whimper of frustration escaped.

“Hang on, sweetheart.” Jaxon propped her against one hip and tugged Aegis
tighter against her. He snagged a sleeping wedge off the deck and shoved it behind his friend, keeping him in place.

Jaxon carefully moved her closer
still. Holding her steady with one arm around her waist, he guided her, hooking her legs over the big warrior’s narrow hips.

Once more he positioned Aegis’s arousal against her wet channel. In this new and improved position, the length of his shaft rubbed her aching sex. She clung to him like green fruit on its vine as unbearable
need shook every fiber of her being. At last the desperate tension shattered, plunging her into a free fall of mindless ecstasy.

When she’d recovered enough to notice her surroundings, the pulsing rings vibrating
between her swollen folds made her shift to ease the sensory overload. The slight repositioning brought a sigh of relief.

Now the slippery tentacles of his crown nudged her sex. Dear
Goddess, the feeling was wonderful. A different set of nerve endings sparked with sheer sensual bliss. She wriggled, trying for more of the magic rapture.

Only the whites of Aegis’s mesmerizing green eyes were visible. His powerful body shivered, locked in the grip of unrelieved sexual need. Jaxon’s breath brushed her neck in short, hot pants. His erection angled between her
thighs, rubbing the underside of Aegis’s rock-hard shaft.

She squirmed, and the
Tethysian’s mighty staff slid another millimeter deeper into her core. Something thick and wet soothed her stretched tissues. Fresh moisture heated, searing through her slit, making her frantic all over again—wild with need for greater penetration and more of the exquisite friction.

Cami flexed her hips
, acting on instinct as her sheath flooded with cream, easing the worst of the hot, achy soreness.

A hazy connection between this new urgency and her earlier intoxicating reaction to Aegis
danced in her memory. Apparently all his body’s secretions were aphrodisiacs, each more powerful than the last. Or perhaps the effect of his fluids was cumulative. None of that mattered. She needed his seed bathing her womb.

What a pity
neither she nor Jaxon knew how to bring about Aegis’s ejaculation. If Aegis held the key to achieving his own release, he wasn’t sharing. Nothing she’d said or done so far had reassured him enough for him to relax his death grip on the wall. Despair trembled through her tired limbs, but she refused to even consider quitting.

Without any conscious plan,
she rubbed his horns in rhythm with Jaxon’s slow, steady strokes.

After several moments, s
he opened heavy lids and met Aegis’s gaze.

His green eyes darkened to unreadable
dark pools as he stared at her. His silken lips parted. “Jaxon, wrap your palm around the base of my shaft. Do not let go.”

Jaxon
moved them back far enough to maneuver. He held her with only one arm, giving no sign her full body taxed his strength. His free hand reached under her thighs, grasping the root of the throbbing green erection nudging her entrance.

Cami stared down,
mesmerized by Jaxon’s rough fingers wrapped Aegis’s rod, diming the pulsing rings’ light show.

“Cannot hold
—” Aegis’s jaw snapped closed, cutting off the rest of the warning. His hips flexed, and he slammed most of his thick erection into her aching sheath.

The burning entry made her eyes sting and her feminine walls convulse until her breeding chamber stretched and damped, easing his invasion.

Jaxon’s fist ground against her folds. His knuckles rasped across a swollen bundle of nerve endings at the top of her slit. Spasms reverberated through the clenched bud until she splintered into a thousand bit of pure delight. She lost all awareness, caught in an almost painful erotic bliss.

Her limbs
remained limp as overdone pasta when she woke cuddled next to Aegis. His warm, smooth scales were better than any bedding. Naked, she stretched cautiously, finding several spots of decadent soreness and tender friction burns in places that had never seen the light of day.

Jaxon was nowhere in sight.

She knew Aegis was awake, although his eyes stayed closed and his breathing slow and even. “Are you all right?”

“I am well.”

While she worked up the courage to ask him what she wanted to know, her gaze fell on the golden marks decorating his brawny forearms. She traced the nearest design, marveling at the beauty. “This is new.”

“Yes.”

“The scrollwork almost matches my tattoo.”

“Your design proclaims you are our mate.”

“Is that so?” she murmured, admiring the intricate swirls with fresh interest. “These weren’t there yesterday.”

“No.”

She swallowed a sigh of frustration. The warriors’ code must prevent volunteering personal information. She continued to probe. “They’re natural?”

“Yes.”

“Do they have a special significance?” she persisted, curious about the markings.

“Mating sign.”

As a sign he was mated? Or that he needed to mate? “Do they itch?”

His mouth quirked in an almost smile. “No.”

“You have two, but I only have one.”

“You and Jaxon are
both mine to protect.”

Resigned to need
ing to pry every detail out of him, she rolled to her side and gathered her courage to ask what she most wanted to know—whether or not he’d released his seed deep inside her channel. Her words failed when she met his dark gaze. Helpless heat raced though her body and up her neck to color her cheeks and burn away all thought.

One scaly hand molded her breast. He was careful to keep
his dangerous talons, curved inward from her skin. She found all that lethal power touching her with such care most arousing, or maybe the dark spice in his chocolate fragrance excited her.

She inhaled his scent
with eager appreciation. Her stomach growled, breaking the sensual mood. The noisy hunger pangs startled a rich chuckle out of the demon. Cami made a silent promise to make him laugh more often.

“You need nourishment
.” His hand continued to cup her swollen breast, which plumped closer, overflowing his palm.

Her taut nipple poked him shamelessly. She stretched
, arching into him— encouraging him to continue the intimate caress.

H
e removed his arm to cover his eyes.

Silly her.
Warriors only wanted to mate. Needed to seemed a more accurate assessment. Although she didn’t feel any different, judging by his lack of interest she must have conceived. She waited for another heartbeat for him to touch her.

When he
r hopes weren’t rewarded, she dropped her gaze and sighed. “I suppose you’re right. I’m a little sore.”

His arm fell, and he rolled toward her. A stricken expression of regret rearranged his already
dear features. He smoothed her arms with gentle strokes. “You should have told me.”

“It’s nothing,” she reassured him, still wishing he hadn’t abandoned her breasts quite so
soon.

The big warrior leaned in slowly, giving her plenty of time to move away.

She was already exactly where she wanted to be.

His lips feathered across hers as if she were infinitely precious.

She parted for him eagerly. The luscious taste of him made her mouth water and her optimistic channel gush with fresh moisture. By the time Aegis ended the kiss, she was intoxicated with his magic and once again wild to couple.

Cami revised her earlier conclusion. S
he must not have conceived. They would have to breed again. This cheered her more than it should have. She wanted more from these warriors than their seed. Had she been less excited, she might’ve worried about how much she cared for these incomprehensible male with their guarded hearts.

He ignored her moans and writhing, placing nibbling kisses from the base of her neck down to her sternum. The teasing
touch of his lips left fiery trails to her rigid nipples.

She gasped with pleasure when he pinched
the needy peaks between his knuckles.

“I
want to make love with you in a moonlit pool on my home world.”

“Would
that be so much better?”

“For
one such as I, yes.”

She slipped her hand inside the fleshy pocket protecting his breeding equipment and caressed the rigid shaft. The rings under the baby-soft skin pulsed to life. She eyed his horns, wishing she had more hands. “
You’re a water demon, a Tethysian?”
