She didn’t bother to answer his bluster. Instead she recovered the linen she’d set aside earlier, found a fresh spot, and used it to clean her dainty fingers. After she
finished, she cupped his face and brushed a kiss across his lips. Stepping back, she turned to Aegis, waiting for orders.

“You’ve done well, little one.” The demon nuzzled her. “You may play with him. I will watch. Take care not to bring him to completion.”

She bowed, smiling like she’d won some big prize. Then she crossed to Jaxon and traced the bunched muscles in his shoulders. Eventually she moved to his chest.

His ears burned at the memory of where
her fingers had been and how thoroughly she’d explored his back passage. Lucky for him, she was too busy torturing his nipples to notice his embarrassment. He relaxed, until the small nips and pinches tuned him up. His rod rose further and stayed stiff.

If he could keep it together long enough so his case of girlish nerves didn’t spoil everything, then he’d be a happy space jock.

“May I?” Cami’s cool fingers skimmed his abs.

He had no idea what she had in mind, but he grew braver by the second. “Anything you want,” he promised, hoping whatever she had planned involved lots more skin-to-skin contact.

She knelt between his legs and covered his cockhead with her silken mouth.

Hot damn. The sensation sent a stream of erotic shocks straight to his nads. His thoughts scattered like so much cosmic dust.

While
continuing to suck the crown, she wrapped a soft, damp hand around his primed rod.

H
e started breathing through his mouth. In and out, in and out, in and—
Please gods, don’t let me come yet
. After an endless session where Cami’s sensuous torture tactics brought him to the brink and then backed off too many times to count, he felt a climax rolling up from his balls, ready to shoot like a blaster stuck on max.

She let go of his cock.

Aegis bent over his bowed neck, nibbling the spot where it connected to his shoulder. The careful control of his power mixed with tenderness threatened to unman him. “Was she too rough on you, warrior?”

Jaxon bit back an urge to laugh hysterically at the serious question. Hysterical was still a whoppin’ jump up from skittish and scared. “I’m good.” The really funny part was that while he spoke, the words got a whole lot truer.

“Join us, little one?”

She beamed at the big guy’s invitation. “I’d love to.”

In a flash, without releasing his hold on Jaxon, he had her face down on the cushioned deck, her hips elevated by a sleeping wedge, and her legs splayed wide. Taking Jaxon with him, he knelt behind her.

Aegis traced her glistening, rosy folds with a knuckle. “Your breeding parts are
moist and beautiful.”

Fresh liquid coated her already glossy channel.

The demon got in close and flicked his long tongue through her slit.

Jaxon g
rew even hotter and as hard as if he hadn’t come in months while watching his bud in action.

“More please,” she begged.

Aegis eased away and cocked a brow at him. “Our woman needs more.”

This wasn’t what Jaxon
had expected to happen, but he was absolutely up for taking care of Cami. No one needed to beg him for sex. He scooted closer, positioned his erection at her entrance. She was slick and hot and better than anything he’d dreamed. He gripped her full hips carefully and pushed in nice and slow, giving her delicate muscles a chance to accept his invasion.

She whimpered, arching into him, wordlessly begging for more.

Her inner walls eased, and the fiery satin sheath surrounded his shaft. The intimate massage, about a thousand times finer than self-service, fit him better than his own skin. She felt so damn fine he was instantly right back on the edge of losing it. He closed his eyes, savoring the exquisite sensation, holding absolutely still, wanting the sweet ache of anticipation to last.

To keep from imploding, he concentrated on her pleasure. He
kneaded her plump ass until the cheeks were as rosy as her pussy while she wriggled and made sexy whimpering sounds. After admiring the marks he put on her butt, he traced the rim of where they connected until she bucked under him.

She moaned. “More, please, Jaxon. I need more of you.”

He followed her swollen inner lips to the hardened bud at the top of her sex. Carefully he skirted the border of the tiny rod until she whimpered and jerked against his fingers, crying her release.

Bringing her pleasure, watching her tighten and fly torqued him like he wouldn’t have believed if he hadn’t been feelin’ it up close and real personal.

Then things got better.

Aegis stroked his back with amazingly gentle knuckles. “I do not want to damage you
, my friend.”

“You won’t.”

Aegis snorted quietly. “You are not a breeder.”

“I belong to you,
same as Cami belongs to you and to me.” He thrust deep into her still-spasming slit, pushing his point in the best possible way.

She shot him a sloe-eyed glance over her shoulder, squeezing his rod
as if in clandestine agreement.

Aegis’s hips jerked
. His massive erection prodded Jaxon’s hip. The backsides of his lethal talons clicked down his spine. “That you are mine is truth.”

Jaxon ground his cock into Cami’s tight, wet heat, which caused the backs of his hairy legs to rub against Aegis’s thighs. “Fuck me while I fuck Cami. It’s what I want.”
What I crave.

Aegis’s fierce answering groan sent a jolt of excitement from Jaxon’s scalp to his soles. Holding Cami’s hips as he stroked slowly, carefully, he hungered with an intensity that rode the edge between pleasure and pain.
He angled his head back and arched into Aegis—a wordless plea.

Hey, it had worked for Cami. He wasn’t too proud to use it.

The smooth scales of Aegis’s knuckles trailed down the seam of Jaxon’s ass, following the same route to his balls.
Thank the gods.

“You are beautiful to me.”

Even if it was a lie, he didn’t care. Aegis got to him in a big way. His breath caught, and more of his precum leaked into Cami. She tightened around his excited shaft and let out a hungry whimper of feminine need that tugged on his erection and his heart.

Finally the slippery tentacles of Aegis’s cockhead teased Jaxon’s
dark passage, spreading more of the excitement. The fiery liquid heated his back door, revving his arousal. But no amount of wanting stopped his sphincter muscles from clamping shut.

Aegis groaned again. “You are so tight. I do not want to hurt you.”

Tight is good, right?

Damn,
the sweet burn clogged his throat until Jaxon couldn’t speak. The amazing tentacles licked at his rear passage more gently than Cami’s fingers. At last desire won the battle of nerves as the tight ring of muscles eased and the thick rod plunged through, stretching his ass beyond full. Reaming, burning, widening until the sensation moved past pain, bringing him out the other side into pure pleasure.

Aegis kept coming, his slick cockhead probing deeper. The crown’s slippery tentacles writhed against a sweet spot
that lit Jaxon up like a supernova ready to explode. On the verge of climax, teeth clenched, every muscle straining, he arched.

D
eep inside his dark channel, Aegis’s cock rings pulsed to life. Jaxon pushed back. Not to expel, but to massage.

Once p
ast the initial shock of invasion, each powerful stroke from Aegis’s thick shaft edged Jaxon closer to paradise. Soon he found the right rhythm and plunged into Cami’s heat with long, hard strokes, matching the big guy’s tempo.

“Jaxon.”
His name spilling from her lips was an erotic invitation to plunder the wet clasp of her channel.

“I will not last,” Aegis growled.

Not ready for the ecstasy to end, Jaxon reached back through his legs, grasped Aegis’s balls, and tugged.

A startled chuckle rumbled from behind him. “You remembered.”

“I remember everything when it comes to you.” The admission slipped out before he clamped his big mouth shut. The truth was much too revealing. He mentally shrugged and decided to quit worrying about making a fool of himself. “I’m wild for you—always have been.”

Aegis’s next smooth withdrawal and even smoother plunge to the root lifted him and Cami, which made Jaxon the most girlie man ever, but he didn’t give a flying fuck ’cause it was Aegis—his mate—boring his ass. He felt the sweet burn of possession
, the bliss of absolute surrender, and the love.

Aegis cried out in ecstasy, and fiery liquid flooded Jaxon’s channel.

His own climax shot out in long, thick blasts, filling Cami. Her silken sheath clenched around his cock as she joined them in the rush of rapture. When the last shudders eased and his thoughts cleared, he lay sprawled between his lovers, boneless and forever changed.

Chapter
Eleven

New Eden Space Sector G,

Next day, 4402 SG

The console shimmered, vibrant with its multicolored status lights twinkling. Aegis flicked a glance over the display,
checking each measurement read within its normal range. He knew his mates lived. His embrace sheltered them.

Yet something
had changed. He scowled as he probed the cabin for clues. His rest cycle had been disturbed, ending before usual. He tested the air, inhaling as quietly as possible. Cami’s special fragrance carried new notes and made the corners of his mouth quirk into a grin. Nothing would have stopped his joyful reaction to her scent. Primal satisfaction sang in his blood. “You carry our young.”

She lifted
her nose from the other warrior’s neck, peeking at him through her thick blonde lashes. “We only…You can tell so soon?”

Yes.” His smile grew.

Her eyes widened.

He covered his too-sharp teeth behind his hand. The last thing she needed was a reminder she cuddled a monster. He killed the feral grin, cringing inside for frightening his mate.

She continued to stare.

Goddess take him, his talons were as frightening as his fangs. He clasped his arms behind his back and stiffened, waiting for her rejection.

“You don’t need to hide yourself from me,” Cami said. “Your teeth and
claws are impressive weapons. I can tell the difference between when you’re scary and when you’re happy.”

He met her eyes, newly impressed. “You read my
mind?”

“Some are easier to read than others.” She
tenderly smoothed the unruly tentacles from his forehead.

He leaned into her, craving
more of her soft touch.

Jaxon s
tirred between them. “Hey, don’t start without me.”

A strident chirp, an incoming communication signal on Cami’s com,
cut off the rest of whatever the warrior might have said. Since he was closest, Aegis stood and snagged the device, handing it to her.

“Yes, Ambassador?”
Cami’s breasts, neck, and face flushed a soft pink.

His keen
hearing registered both sides of the conversation.

The little breeder
left the video off, but switched to full audio mode, including Jaxon and him in the communication. As the sorority’s ambassador spoke, Cami untangled her limbs from theirs and dressed, covering her flawless skin and dampening his lust.

The ambassador
’s crisp tone related facts in rapid fire. “Our ship arrived at the New Eden space station. Due to extremely low levels of duranium, they’ve docked in bay twenty-three. The Baldoreans vaporize all approaching New Eden ships, even those flying under the blue light of truce. Currently our vessel is protected by a veil of illusion. Is your craft capable of a stealth approach and rescue for our disciples?”

“A coordinated squad action would be preferable.” Aegis tugged on his one-piece and boots.

“Agreed. Unfortunately Camille’s comlink is the only working communication with the Space Corps available. The enemy is in control of the station, and they are jamming every band. Unless you have another way to signal other warriors in your sector…”

“I do not.”

“Then may we rely upon your assistance extraditing the trapped sisters?”

He glanced at Cami and Jaxon for confirmation of his decision.
They nodded.

Exposing Cami to danger grated against his instinct
s. Nevertheless, with their fighter already low on fuel, she would be safer aboard the sorority’s ship. More so if they were refueled and left for Earth.

The thought of separation squeezed his heart.

“Of course we will fight the Baldoreans, retake the space station, and protect your people. In return the women must follow our orders explicitly during this operation.”

“Negotiating, Lieutenant?”

“Outlining terms, Ambassador.”

“I will explain your requirements to Captain Winifred. Please stand by.”

Within seconds she returned. “Winifred agreed. She has a squad of qualified warriors aboard, eager for field experience.”

Earth women.
Untried soldiers who have never seen a blaster
. He hoped Cami’s Goddess would save them. “Jaxon and I are the only crew available, Ambassador.”

“And Cami,” she corrected him.

“Yes,” he agreed reluctantly. His mate’s courage and resourcefulness had been proven, however neither of those strengths would keep her safe.

A grim foreboding tightened his features as
he reflected on how much bonding had already changed him. Breeding with Cami and Jaxon kept mating mania at bay. Instead of living in a berserk frenzy, now he lived in a clearheaded state of fear—terrified he would fail to protect his mates.

“The sorority is grateful for
all assistance and effort from your crew, Lieutenant Trykol. I’ll give Cami’s comlink coordinates to Captain Winifred so she may communicate directly. May the Goddess keep and protect you.”

“And you, Ambassador.” Cami ended the call.

Aegis clamped his jaw. Protecting Cami and Jaxon was his responsibility. Not a casual obligation he would leave to the whim of a fickle immortal.

“How in the seven hells are we going to dock undetected by the Baldoreans?” Jaxon fastened the neck of his uniform with a snap.

Aegis answered slowly as he considered the challenges. “We will use subspace to bounce to the gate above the station.”

“Hold on, bud. You’re gonna
jump a fighter into subspace without charts?”

“I have done it before.”

“’Kay, humor me. Where was I while this was going down?” Jaxon’s lazy smile tightened at the edges.

“You were in sleep cycle,” Aegis said.

Jaxon scowled. “That makes me feel so much better.”

“There is no cause for concern. I
made a series of jumps for the trip from Hakan to Baldor, and I refresh my skills periodically.”

“We don’t even have
nav capacity or even a damn chart. This is crazy.”

Tools are not necessary.” Aegis adjusted their course. “My memory is excellent.”

“Right.”
Jaxon did not appear reassured.

“Once through the gate, we drop the Cub straight down. Then anchor the fighter to the station’s roof with clamps.”

“Manual clamps?” Jaxon snorted. “Maybe we should get out some rope too. Hold on, I’ve got it, sticky gum. Great stuff. You can hold anything with a couple of wads.”

Are you finished?” Aegis asked with leashed courtesy.

Jaxon drawled, “Just getting’ warmed up, bud. Say we bounce through this mythical subspace gate and say your manual clamps do the trick
—how in the seven hells are we getting from the fighter to the Earth women?”

“We walk over to their dock.”

Cami shivered. Aegis flicked his gaze, directing Jaxon to comfort her.

“Space walk, the three of us?”
Jaxon goggled at him, ignoring his silent directive to reassure their woman.

Aegis
cuddled her. “Of course the three of us.”

“We’ve only got two suits, bud.”

“I do not require one.”

“Right, silly me. You don’t need a suit ’cause you’re super demon or ’cause you lost your damn mind?”

“It is a short trip.”

“Five hundred meters is not short. Not even in a puffy suit and megaton boots. Plus you’ll have us packin’ a damn arsenal.”

Cami wriggled free of his hold, dashed across the cabin, and beamed back at them. “Problem solved. The replicator is producing a space suit for me. Yours are so big that me wearing one would qualify as a safety hazard anyway, not to mention a complete fashion disaster.”

Aegis bit back a chuckle as he
caught her teasing tone. “You are clever as well as beautiful, little one.”

“Damn, you stole my words,” Jaxon grumbled.

She made them an exaggerated bow. “Thank you, sirs.”

The replicator chimed. She retrieved a small bio-suit.

Aegis held out a hand. “Allow me to check it.”

She handed the garment over without a murmur, watching him intently as he examined
every millimeter of the suit, assuring himself it met his standards.

Once satisfied with the garment’s quality, he stowed it with the others. “Check our fuel level. We need to rescue disciples.”

Jaxon pulled up the sector map. “There’s half a load of duranium, should take us to the party.”

“Good.”

“Can we pull this off?” Jaxon spoke quietly.

Cami edged nearer, waiting for
the answer.

“The odds of success are long, our resources limited, and the time frame short. Nevertheless, the mission is not impossible.
If Cami’s Goddess smiles on us, then yes.” Aegis made an effort to answer with rough patience. Though suicidal was a fairer assessment of their chances. Their grim odds for surviving warred with his need to protect his mates.

Cami smiled at him, which was even better than her
Goddess’s favor.

“More questions?”

“What would improve our chances?” Cami asked, seemingly undeterred by his bad manners and worse mood.

“Subspace navigation and jump experience in this sector would be a plus.”

She frowned. “Sorry, all my experience has been as a passenger.”

“Would you recognize the gateway to the space station?”

After a brief hesitation, she said, “I think so.”

Pleased by her careful response, he softened his tone. “A distraction at the time of our landing would help.”

“I’ll talk to Captain Winifred. She should be able to arrange something.”

“Excellent. Inform her we need the Baldorean’s attention focused away from the station’s core at four hundred hours exactly.”

“I’ll ask for her help and suggestions.”

“Th
at is satisfactory. When you have completed the call, please begin replicating cable.” He turned to Jaxon. “Locate the specifications for Cami. We need at least five hundred meters preferably more.”

“Gonna drain our resources.”

“Then find a way to move us to the women using less,” Aegis growled.

Jaxon tossed him a sharp salute. “Sir, I’m on it.”

“Good. Now all that remains is a subspace jump, an unassisted drop landing, and of course, the rescue.”

“Standard Space Corps op, a.k.a. mission impossible,” the
other warrior quipped.

Aegis did not hide his feral grin.

* * * * *

Cami coiled the last of the cable, secured the end clips, and blew on her sore hands.

Ribbons of brightly colored energy arced and swirled across the viewer. The light show surrounding the fighter made her gape in awe. Subspace was more magical than she remembered. Space sickness tinged her previous flight memories green. Strange, she hadn’t suffered a moment of queasiness with the warriors.

E
ven the beauty surrounding the small craft didn’t compare to the mating mark Aegis had scored on Jaxon’s impressive chest. He hadn’t chosen to give her the same tangible brand. He’d called her mate. Still the lack of scarring prickled and her uncertainty rankled.
Am
I equally bonded?

Plainly Jaxon and Aegis were closer to each other.
Understandable, since they’d been together for years. Perhaps someday she would merit marking.

“Gloves, damn it.
Why didn’t you replicate a pair first?” Jaxon fussed as he worked the cellular stimulator over her abused palms.

I failed to think of doing so,” she admitted. Speed seemed important. She’d given no thought to coddling her hands.

A flash of something close to lightning jerked her attention. “There’s the gate!”

Jaxon nodded. “Yeah, we’re right on schedule.”

“Strap in,” Aegis said.

Jaxon shoved the stimulator into one of his thigh pockets, hauled her onto his lap, fastened the harness over both of them, and pulled the straps taut. Tongues of energy arced and danced over their vessel. The console went black. Cami rolled into a tight ball and consigned her soul to the Goddess’s keeping.

Her eyes
snapped open when the ship plummeted in a free fall that left her stomach lurching to catch up.

Seconds ticked by while Aegis keyed commands into the inert console.

Jaxon’s hold tightened around her.

She patted his arm. “Let me breathe.”

The grip squeezing her middle immediately loosened. “Sorry, sweetheart.”

“I’m fine,” she lied, tapping a calming count sequence with her fingers, so scared her toes were cramping.
