Caught in the Devil's Sheets (31 page)

Odin gently kisses my clit, making my body convulse. He takes amusement in this and does it again. My tits bounce upwards as I try to jerk away and my extremely sore nipples ache. Odin steps down from the table and frees them first. Then he makes his way down to my feet and pulls on the chain so that my legs slowly make their way back down to the table. My entire body is in a state of shock, my muscles refusing to take orders from my brain. I think I’m regaining feeling in my skin and things are a complete blur as opposed to just hazy.

“That was fucking amazing, Delilah.” Odin assures me I have done well.

I vaguely smile, too exhausted to move the muscles in my face.

“How do you feel?” he asks tentatively.

“That. Hurt.” I say each word between harsh breaths, as he rolls me on my side and lets my arms free.

“Was it too much?” Odin tries to have open communication, but my head isn’t thinking clearly enough to really reciprocate.

I’m quiet, which strikes concern in him. “I need you to talk to me, Lila.”

I want to talk to him, I just don’t know what to say. I feel confused. It’s probably whatever pill he gave me wearing off. “I don’t know.”

Odin seems amused at my vague answer.

“Did you enjoy it?”

I’m panting too hard to fully answer. It hurt, but it also brought me the most mind altering orgasm. I can’t even find the words to describe how it felt, or how I feel now.

“Yeah, it was just so intense. I’m sorry I’m just still really fuzzy.” I stumble over my own words.

Odin caresses my hair, looking down on me. “Fisting is pretty intense, I’m sorry if I breached a limit for you, but you didn’t say anything.”

Did he just say fisting?!?
I think I might pass out.

Odin moves down the table unshackling my ankles from the bar. He rubs each one tentatively. “I’ll go run you a hot bath,” he says, leaving me to rest on the table.

My head spins in circles. I hear the water running in the master bathroom. I’m still short of breath and my brain is just finally regaining its power over my body, bidding it to get up. Slowly I sit up on the table. I am so sore between my legs that I wince as I swing them around the side of the table. I debate trying to stand up as Odin comes back out of the bedroom.

“Coming?” he asks. I give him a wide-eyed look as I nod. I’m trying to anyways.

He smiles, quite full of himself for rendering me this way. He takes my arm and slings it over his shoulder, then tucks his other arm under my knees and picks me up off the table, carrying me into his room the way a groom would carry a bride.

Jaime was way too trashed to carry himself into our room the night we got married, let alone carry me. Odin brings me into the bathroom where a divine looking bubble bath is waiting for me. He lowers me down into the bath, and the first thing I feel is the burn when the hot water touches my bottom. Then the rest of my body is enveloped in its warmth and I finally relax. I lay my head back on a rolled up-towel that Odin has placed on the back of the large tub. Odin kisses my forehead and I let out a large gust of air from my lungs.

He takes a sponge, filling it with soap and warm water and begins washing my chest. He is kneeling on the side of the tub and still towers over, his blue eyes staring into me. He runs the sponge down my arm, bringing my hand up to his mouth he kisses it tenderly, then trails the sponge back across my chest to my other arm. I close my eyes, relaxing my body and enjoying the sensation of being bathed in a hot bubble bath. He washes my legs, and is very gentle when he reaches the top of my thighs. When he’s finished, he leaves the sponge on the side of the tub, then leans over me, kissing my cheek.

Odin gets up, leaving me alone in the bath. A few moments later he returns with a glass of ice water, kneeling at the side of the tub he brings it to my lips. I lean my head forward and drink back the entire glass.

“Would you like another?” he asks.

“No. Thank you.” I smile up at him. No one has ever doted on me like this before, it feels so foreign.

“What do you want for lunch? I will make, order, or go get anything you want and serve it to you in bed.”

Win me over with food, he knows me too well! “I want a grilled cheese sandwich on sour dough with Swiss cheese and a side of tomato soup.”

“And to drink?”

“A sugar free vanilla latte, over ice, with soy.” It sounds so good I can already taste it.

“As you wish,” he says with adoring eyes.

I try hard not to fall asleep in the tub, but fail.

I feel stronger but sorer when I wake up. Odin still isn’t back and I have no idea how long I dozed off for. I barely manage to pull myself out of the tub and wrap myself in the robe that Odin graciously hung on the back of the door. Then I take myself back to bed. I lay there starting to doze back off when I hear the door downstairs shut. I listen as footsteps make their way up the stairs.

Odin slowly comes in holding a tray and a large bag of delicious smelling food along with one venti iced latte. I sit up in bed and he places the tray in front of me. I chug back my coffee, still dying of thirst after this morning’s feat. On the side of the cup where the barista would normally put a name, someone has taken the liberty of writing “World’s Best Lover” with a heart. Odin pulls our food out of a bistro paper bag.

“Tomato bisque,” he says setting an additional Styrofoam container of soup on my tray.

We finish eating and Odin clears all the trash. He kneels down on the floor next me, gaining my full attention.

“Lila,” he is nervous and I stare into his anxious eyes. He pulls a black box from his pocket. Surely there’s no ring in this jewelry box. “Will you be my girlfriend?” He opens the box and there is a sliver necklace with a beautiful pendent. “And wear this all the time?”

I take the pendent in my fingers, examining it. It’s a silver shield, with Celtic knots and a black onyx in the center. I can feel a design on the back side so I flip it over to look. Odin, the mythological Norse God, is engraved in the back.

I look up to meet Odin’s gaze. He is hopeful, nervous, and for once in his life, not in control. As overwhelmed with happiness as I am, I can’t fight my own self-doubt.

“All these years without commitment and you want me to be your girlfriend, why?” What the hell makes me so special?

“I always felt the need to separate my personal life from the Club. There haven’t been many women in my life I trusted enough to let in. It’s like there has always been two separate sides of me, hiding from one another. You’re the first person to ever know both sides and, even more amazingly, accept them both. I never thought I’d get that lucky.” His words make perfect sense, and they put me at ease. “So, will you be my girlfriend?” he asks again, more confidently.

“Yes!” I say excitedly.

He throws his arms around me, and holds me tightly as a relieved gust of air leaves his chest. I can’t help but bare a ridiculous smile. I feel like a teenage girl again. I just agreed to be Odin’s first girlfriend!

Chapter 25
Bedding a Champion

I sit quietly, twirling my new silver necklace in between my fingers while Odin takes a shower. I try to remember how his rendition of
Hey There, Delilah
went. I wish Kelli could have heard it. She would have laughed hysterically. She hates that song about as much as I do. Speaking of Kelli, I have had two missed calls from her in the last few days and I’ve neglected to call her back. I make a mental note to do so when I get home which should be Sunday or Monday. I assume Odin has to work Monday.

“How do you feel about going to a BBQ at Cole’s house tonight?” he asks, looking down at his phone as he strolls out from the bathroom. I’m not sure what it would be like showing up to an event together, but my body winces at the thought of what else he might have planned for today. I did pack an outfit that is suitable for going out to a BBQ.

“You know, most people don’t even know Jaime and I are getting a divorce. If we show up together, people are going to think I’m a total whore.”

“Well, it would be a good place to start spreading the word that you are in fact getting a divorce and that you’re officially my girlfriend.”

“I thought we agreed to wait.”

“Okay, then we can stay home and I can tie you up doggy style and claim your ass this afternoon instead,” he says full of hope.

“BBQ it is!” I smile and agree.

Odin lets out a smile of his own.

“I still plan to lay claim on that ass, but it can wait for another day,” he says in a way that is so Odin. I have never been a fan of butt sex.

“Do you know if Cody and Kelli are invited?”

“It’s an open invitation if you’d like to invite them,” he offers.

“Should I make potato salad or something

“That’s a good idea.”

Odin is lying next to me, above the covers. I’m sitting up under the covers wrapped in a towel and we’re talking about what to bring to a BBQ. This is so normal. If I didn’t know better, I’d say we were two completely different people than the two who went at it on the pool table this morning with the shackles and the clothes pins and the duct tape. My nipples harden just thinking about it.

“What time is it?” I ask Odin who is still texting on his phone.

“One o’clock.”

Holy crap! I had no idea it was so late.

“I’d better get dressed and start boiling potatoes.”

“Are you asking permission to leave my bed?”

Actually, I hadn’t even thought about it. “That’s really a thing huh?”

“Yes. It’s a big thing for me.”

“Do you want me to make potato salad or not?” I don’t know what about this concept irritates me so much, but I can’t help being sarcastic about it.

“I think it’s a good idea. And yes, you may get up,” he says, holding up the covers for me.

When my back is turned I roll my eyes. I hold on my towel and head downstairs to where my duffel bag is. I pull out fresh panties and a purple stretch skirt. I don’t bother stepping into the bathroom to change. Then I return to the duffel to fish out a black bra and a black shirt that has two purple hand guns on the chest. It ties up the back showing off some skin. After the time in the hot tub yesterday and the shower and the bath, my hair is too frizzy to wear down. I take my makeup bag, some hairpins, and a big purple hair flower and head into the downstairs bathroom by the study to gussy up. I pull my hair into a large curly bun on the top of my head, letting long red tendrils fall here and there then use the flower to hide what mess I can’t pin down.

Odin is sitting at the breakfast bar when I come back out in the kitchen and directs me to the potatoes. Once I have them boiling I go to my purse and pull out my phone.

{Thursday 9:00am at the County Jail. Does this work for you?} - James Devine.

I text him back {Sure}- Lila.

There is also another missed call from Kelli and I click on the call back button.

“Hello?”

“Hey Kelli.”

“Jesus! Did you fall off the earth or something? I have been trying to get a hold of you for days!”

“Sorry, I’ve been busy.”

“With what? I thought you were in Wyoming?”

“No, I’m home. I’ve been staying at Odin’s house.”

“I was really worried about you. You could have at least sent me a text,” she scolds.

“Well, I’m calling you now aren’t I?” she sighs in defeat.

“How’s Odin’s house?”

“Way better than being home alone.” I don’t want Odin to have to hear my half of this conversation. I whisper for him to watch the potatoes and excuse myself, stepping out the sliding glass door and taking a seat by the pool.

“Are you guys like a thing now or..?” she pops the big question and I worry about her reaction.

“He asked me to be his girlfriend this morning.” I try to hide the over giddy excitement in my voice.

“You’re still married.”

“Jaime and I are meeting up Thursday with a lawyer to get the paperwork going. It could be months before we’re legally divorced though.”

“So what did you say to Odin?”

“I said yes.”

“Delilah! Oh my God! You guys are moving way too fast.”

Kelli, you have no idea.
“I know, but I really like him.”

“Still though, you’re already boyfriend and girlfriend? That’s going to turn some heads.”

“Whatever. I don’t care,” I say truthfully. If my best friend can accept it, everyone else will have to fall in line.

“You never do,” she says again in defeat. Kelli never wins an argument. Even when she’s right, she’s wrong. I always win! “Does Jaime know?”

“Know what?”

“About you and Odin.”

“I don’t know, but I think he’ll figure it out. Odin wants to go to the meeting on Thursday with me.”

“That’s a terrible fucking idea.”

“That’s what I said. But he’s pretty insistent.”

“Well, he can insist all he wants but in the end it’s up to you. Do you really want Jaime to find out that way? He’s going to freak out! Not to mention when he gets out he’s probably going to try and make your life a living hell!”

“Honestly, Kelli, Jaime has made my life hell for the last year anyways. At this point all he can do is be bitter about the fact that I left. At least I can say I’m happy now.”

“Yeah, but we all still have to hang out together.”

She’s right, this isn’t an average breakup where the friends divide themselves accordingly and a few stay mutual. This is the club we’re talking about. There is no dividing a brotherhood.

I sigh in my own defeat. “I know. But what are we supposed to do? Not date each other because it might upset Jaime?”

“I’m not saying don’t date him, I’m just saying tread lightly and
don’t
bring Odin to the divorce meeting.” She’s right, but she doesn’t know how ugly it got the last time I went to see Jaime alone. A part of me is deathly afraid to face him without the glass, even with a lawyer. I know why Odin doesn’t want me to go alone, he’s being protective. It’s strange that I love it even though it’s aggravating.

“We’re headed over to a BBQ at Cole’s house tonight. Are you and Cody free?” I change the subject.

“I am. Cody’s being a super douche lately.”

“Well, maybe Odin and I can pick you up and you can come to the BBQ with us. We can get shitty together. It’s better than sitting at home and stewing about Cody!” I offer.

“True. It just really irritates me that we never spend quality time together because we’re always working and doing shit, and then when we get a minute that we can spend together, he always finds something else to do with his time. And he says I’m selfish with his time ’cause he spends every night with me. But he doesn’t get the difference between being together in the same house and spending quality time together.”

“I know exactly what you’re saying. All boys are like that though.”

“’Cause there fucking stupid assholes!”

“I’m telling you, you should just come out with us tonight.” I pry.

“What time?”

“I dunno. I’ll ask Odin and get the details worked out and then I’ll text you.”

“Okay sounds good. I’m gonna hop through the shower. What should I bring?”

“Whatever you want.”

“I’ll probably whip up some pasta salad.”

“Sounds good. I’ll see you later?”

“Yeah. See you later.” I hang up and sit, staring at the woods behind Odin’s house. It’s so beautiful out here. I dip my feet into the pool and it’s freezing. But in the heat of the afternoon today it feels good.

“Potatoes are boiling,” Odin leans his head out the sliding glass door and calls over to me.

I stand up and stroll into the house. As I drain the potatoes and start adding ingredients into a bowl I ask him if we can pick up Kelli.

He doesn’t mind. “How does Kelli feel about us?” he asks as I’m chopping celery.

“She’s curious to see how it all goes over with the club when Jaime gets out. As am I.”

“Does she think you’re doing the right thing?”

I’m kind of shocked that Odin cares about Kelli’s opinion of me right now. “I don’t know!” I say shortly. “I don’t think she really cares, but then she doesn’t know a lot of the details. She just thinks we’re doing it and now you want me to be your girlfriend.” I decide not to tell Odin exactly what Kelli said, because I want him to like her.

“Isn’t that what you want?”

Why is he suddenly so insecure? “Yeah… I’m just worried that when Jaime gets out…” I’m not sure what it is I’m trying to say exactly and I can feel Odin’s anxious eyes on me as I try to figure it out. “You and I are bound to cause some conflict in the club and I really hate to be that girl. But yes, I want to be with you.” I say trying to put the words together right.

“I’m glad to hear that.” Odin looks strange. His eyes seem distant like this is news to him or something.

“It’s not exactly a secret.” I remind him. For Christ sake, I let him truss me up and shove an entire fist in me this morning. Obviously I want to be with him! What more does he need? For the first time, I realize that Odin has an insecure side.

I give up on the potato salad a minute and walk over to where he’s sitting.

“I want to be your girlfriend.” I say honestly, then kiss him on the lips before returning to my salad. “I need to let Kelli know what time we’ll be picking her up.

“Four.” I glance over at the clock and it’s already almost three. Knowing how Kelli lags, I text her before wrapping the salad bowl in saran wrap.

When Odin and I pull up to Kelli’s apartment, I warn him it will probably take a while to get her out the door. He doesn’t seem to mind waiting. Jaime used to get so impatient.

Kelli invites me in for a bowl, as she is still putting her makeup on. “I got you a pair of heels at the thrift store. They’re a size 10 and they were just too cool to pass up.” she says, heading into her bedroom.

Kelli and I share a love for shoes but I have giant feet and unfortunately we can’t share. She comes out baring a pair of closed toe heels that have a purple snake winding up the heels. They look new, even the insides aren’t worn in yet.

“They’re perfect for this outfit!” I say, slipping off my flats and trading them in for the new heels.

“What happened to your wrists?” she exclaims as I take the shoes from her. Then she notices my ankles as well.

“Just a little kinky fuckery.” I blush, not getting into detail.

“Jesus! That looks brutal!” She has no idea. “You’re into that?” She seems surprised.

“Odin is, and yeah, I’m definitely coming around to it.” I say with a big smile as I finish shoving my second foot into the heel. There not terribly comfortable, but no heel really is. I just have to get my drink on, then I won’t notice the feeling in my feet so much. Every party girl’s secret to wearing high heels! Kelli rolls her eyes and heads back into the bathroom to finish up.

“I hope you’re not falling into a trap. People can get seriously hurt messing around like that,” she says. Kelli has always been overcautious.

I don’t answer her. About 15 minutes later she’s finally ready to head out the door, pasta salad in hand. Odin greets her nicely and she is polite in turn. It means a lot to me that she’s supportive, or at least tolerant. I hate when Kelli and I disagree on my life decisions. Odin doesn’t seem peeved in the slightest that he had to wait in the car and he gets us rolling toward Cole’s house, to which neither Kelli or I have ever been before. He stops at the liquor store.

“You ladies want anything special?”

“Cazadores!” Kelli and I answer simultaneously, then laugh at each other’s good taste.

Cole lives off Rodeo Drive in a really nice loft-style house. The inside is more compact, but the yard is huge. The living, kitchen and dining are all combined and then there is an upstairs and a guest house. Keila gives Kelli and me the official tour of the common areas. Outside there is a large pool and Jacuzzi combo that both steam in the cooling evening air. Kelli and I notice a large octagon ring, like the one used in UFC fighting, set up on the lawn in the backyard.

“Cole’s into boxing?” I ask her.

“Oh, yeah! The whole family is big into cage fighting. Matches always break out at our parties!” she says like it’s the usual.

I look at Kelli who’s looking back at me with an excited face. Maybe we’ll get to see some action tonight! In the pool house there is a foosball table and an air hockey table, and out by the pool there is a beer pong table, as well as a fully stocked bar, that Odin adds his crate too.

“Want me to make you a margarita out of this?” he asks, holding up a bottle of Cazadores.

“Yes, please.”

“Kelli?” he offers to make her one as well.

“Sure! Thanks.”

So far, they’re hitting it off well, which makes me feel a little better. We’re not the first to show up. Keila introduces us to Cole’s brother in law Sean, who works with the rest of the guys at Harting Brothers Construction. Sean is married to Cole’s sister Cassy. He isn’t a member and I have never met him before. He’s small, but his body shows he swings a hammer for a living. He’s lean and tan and can’t keep his hands off Cassy, which I find adorable.

Micah and his wife, Shannon, show up just after us. Shannon gives me a big hug. Strange, since she’s always come off as a huge bitch to me. She’s a tall blonde. And although she’s well into her 50’s now, she is dressed in tight blue jeans, a tank top with the word bitch bedazzled on it, and a pair of black high heeled boots. She looks like she just climbed off of the back of a bike for the millionth time, which she probably did.
