DISCOGRAPHY

NOTE: On albums originally released from 1965 to 1986, these listings are configured as per their original two-sided vinyl lineup. From 1987 forward, the album listings are configured as per one-sided CD release. Configuration and record company listed is as per original American release, unless otherwise noted. The songwriters’ names appear as they appeared on the original releases. First names have been added when available, or whenever provided.

The playing time of each of these cuts is provided whenever possible. Occasionally the song lengths will differ from album to album. This is especially true in songs like “Take Me Home,” which was originally over six minutes long. Some of the “Greatest Hits” albums are comprised only of shorter single versions of songs. Original album times may differ from the later CD versions.

This discography is compiled of the original American albums, release dates, and original label. Also included are the most successful and most readily available import albums from around the world. Some of the album titles are identical, although their contents are completely different. For example, there are three separate albums entitled
Cher
, one in the 1960s, one in the 1970s, and one in the 1980s.

There is also a discrepancy in the way the word “Gypsys” is spelled in “Gypsys, Tramps and Thieves.” The original album and single was spelled “Gypsys,” while later albums spelled it as “Gypsies.” For the sake of continuity, it is spelled throughout as “Gypsys.”
