That

s very exciting, I

m happy for you and you know we will all be there cheering you on, right?

Thanks
,
Lisa.

No problem, just win okay, you can

t embarrass us
,”
s
he
jokingly says
.

I

ll do my best not to disappoint.  Let

s get back to the party, shall we?

I retort
and wink at her.

I

ll meet you out by the pool as soon as I check on Marc.

I shift down the hall and just as I

m about t
o turn into the kitchen, I hear
Marc asking,

What will it be?

I peer around the corner and see a beautiful blond
e
woman;
she appears to be about thir
ty, thirty one years old.  She’
s in tight fitting faded jeans and a very low cut brilliant red silk
top.  As the music plays, she’
s moving her body to the beat.  She leans over the island Marc is working at and I see her top move up just enough that I can see her lower back.  Just what I thought, her crescent isn

t crimson.  She bends over more, trying to show Marc her cleavage.

What do you have to offer me?

I shake my head in disbelief as s
he continues moving her hips and flamboyantly shakes her long golden hair back.

Marc begins innocently.

I

ve made a lot of different drinks, so whatever you like, let me know and if you have a specific request I will see what I can do.

I raise my brow at that, but I stay right where I am, watching.  She gave a
seductive

Um-hum

with a mischievous giggle.  I peek again to see her walking around the island and lean next to Marc.  She runs her red polished fingertips up his white dress shirt and rests her hungry hand on his shoulder, whispering,

Well, I

d like to make a request…
you
.

Marc juggles the bottle of Aristocrat he has in his hands, trying desperately not to drop it.  He backs away from her and then shifts to the other side of the island.  Pursuing him, she shifts as well and places her hands on her hips, with a pouting expression,

What

s wrong?

she starts walking closer to him when Marc politely moves her back.

I have my
lifemate
.

She looks around the kitchen in a scanning way and then looks back at him suspiciously.

Well, who is she, where is she, I mean any
lifemate
that would have… someone like, you, would be close by.

Marc clears his throat and says,

Alyssa Worthington.

It is priceless to see her face turn three shades of red.

She replies in a completely different tone,

Oh
…w
ell yes of course, I think I

ll pass on the drink, thank you,

a
nd
she
shifts away.  I turn and walk out the back door laughing.  Outside I shift down by the pool area where everyone is.  Lisa is sitting in
Dawson

s lap in a patio chair.  Megan is sitting next to them, and David is down in the grass just across from us.  I walk up and pull a chair next to Megan,

Hey, guys!

Hey,

everyone replies back.

Turning to Megan and Lisa I say,

You should have seen the blond
e
seductress going after Marc with all she had.  Damn near flashed him to get his attention.

Really?

Megan piques
.

Really
?

David follows with,

Where is she?  The poor misguided soul, maybe I can help.

Rolling my eyes
and proudly say,

Marc handled it like a prince.

Megan

s laughing became over the top as I begin wondering if she will be able to stop.

First, Marc doesn

t even know what the internet is and now he doesn

t know when a woman is hitting on him.

Megan reaches over and pats my back and says with a smirk,

I worry about you Alyssa, I really do.

I
practically snort at her, countering,

Ah, don

t worry
you

re
pretty little head
Meg;
I think I can handle Marc.

She moves her hand from my back
and fumbles with her hair
.

Well if you find out that you need some help with
him, you know where to find me
,

Megan teases and
g
iv
es
me a bewitchingly smile.  I roll my eyes again ignoring her and glance over at David,
watch
ing
him as he holds a small sphere of fire between both han
ds and levitates it perfectly.

A young boy shifts next to him and asks
,

Hey, that

s pretty cool mister can you show me how to do that?

David looks up with interest at someone calling him mister and says,

Sure, have a seat.

What

s your name?

Samuel Levain,
what

s
yours?

David chuckles and
he
replies,

Names David Van Buren.

He reaches over to shake Samuel

s hand the
Worthington
coven shake, but Samuel appears like he is unfamiliar with it, so, David never misses a beat and shows the kid how it

s done.

Samuel laughs at himself as he is trying to learn it, but David is patien
t
with him and soon he has it down.  Samuel has a huge smile on his face when he says,

I should have gotten that shake down the first time, guess it

s true what they say about getting older,
and things
start slowing down.

Kid, how old are you?

Samuel sits up straight from his slumped over position,

I

m thirteen
, but
next month I

ll be fourteen.

  He flashes a pretentious smile
.

David nods his head in complete understanding.

It only goes down hill from here kid
,

He
declares matter-of-fact like and
grins playfully.  Samuel

s eyes grow wide
, but
soon re
alize David is pulling his leg.

Ok, David
can you show
me how to work the fire
?

David moves from his sitting position so that he can kneel beside Samuel, plac
ing his hands over the boy

s.

B
ring your fire to your hands slowly, concentrate only on centering it, and think of the shape you want.

David keeps his hands on Samuel

s
, but
moves his
own
away
slowly
.  I can see David using his telekinesis
,
helping Samuel move the fire in his palm shaping
it
and then finally
having
it hover into a small ball between his hands.  I watch David work with Samuel and I remember my dad telling me that he invited a new family over and I bet
Samuel is our new member.

It

s good seeing David work with him as he makes his own ball of fire and starts shifting it around on the tips of his fingers.  He spins and twirls it as if it were a basketball.  Samuel watches David in complete amazement,
and then
he tries
it himself.

The flames begin to dart around
,
madly moving out of control, and then smolders away.  David smiles at the kid,

Don

t worry, you

ll get the hang of it.

Contemplating, Samuel looks down for a moment and then back up at David,

Does it help getting girls, like that?

and he nods his head toward
us.  David looks up at me and answers,

Nah, not necessarily, but if you ever find the girl of your dreams don

t let her go.

I am grateful when Megan speaks up.

Ah, David is that all you

ve got to show the kid?

David stands up and strolls over to us, a wicked smile creep
s
around his lips.  Megan glances over to Lisa.

Come on
Lisa;
let

s show the kid
something better than some
petty
little
fireball
.

I heard that Megan, so what do you have? Give us a preview
, but
re
member it has to be rated PG 13,

Lisa says as she leans over to
whisper something to
Dawson
.

Megan laughs,

He

s old enough to look, just not
to
touch,

Lisa whispers something to
Dawson
and then she smiles at Megan.
Dawson
raises his hand out toward
the pool, and water starts rising
,
being pulled upward by an unseen force.
He moves
his hand like he is shaping clay.  A figure of a couple
,
dancing across the water
,
appears, and then suddenly sinks back into the
pool
.

Dawson
switches hands and pulls the water up again
, but
this time he makes a sphere, the water flows around until it looks like a shimmering globe of the earth.  Lisa is still sitting on his lap and raises her hand out
, then
blows air towards the water globe.  The globe starts spinning around and around.  Lisa stands up and moves the air carrying the globe o
ver to
Megan.  Megan lets it sit just a few inches above her palm and then she blows it back to the pool.

Megan and Lisa start turning the water globe around, faster and faster until a small waterspout spins across the full length of the pool.  By the time it reaches the edge Megan and Lisa drop their hands and the
mini
torn
ado falls back into the water.

Megan has her hands on her hips and grins at David.

There beat that.

David raises his hand at Megan and shoots out a small
fireball
at her
, she
immediately blows a kiss at the
fireball
and it splits in two and smolders awa
y.  I start laughing at them
both
, I
just can

t help myself.
