It was sprin
g and not too cold so Ethan just had his jeans on with a few necklaces and he wore bare feet. Elisabeth had some jeans on that were ripped, Ethan laughed as they exited the house.

“You’re looking really young.”

“Thanks,” she playfully pushed him.

They walke
d down the bank onto the sand to the beach and Elisabeth had some clothing she had wrapped around her, like a scarf and they used it to sit on. Elisabeth poured their coffees.

“Man thi
s is bliss mom.”

The sun shi
ned on their faces and the small waves rolled in, it was such a beautiful, perfect day. Elisabeth asked about the party and Ethan told her about the evening, purposely avoiding the topic of Christian.

Eventually Ethan went into the water. It was always such a
spiritual cleanse for him to go into the sea. It cleansed his aura and his emotions. The water did that for him and when he entered into the water for the first time, he always said a prayer or asked a question when he jumped in. He was waist deep when he asked the question, just a moment before diving in. He didn’t really need to ask as he already knew. He knew Kali was the one, he knew she was his soul mate, the one he would have chosen before he came down to this earth. So he didn’t really ask, but it was more of a thank you to the universe for bringing her into his life. Ethan knew it was God who had allowed them to come together, and it was both him and Kali that had been ready to meet.

He dived in and felt
the coldness hit his body, the cleanse came immediately and as he surfaced he felt the words of,
‘Yes she’s the one.’

Ethan laughed, he felt so good. His mother was watching him swim. When she looked at hi
m it was often like watching him as a young boy. The boy she knew, would always remain with Ethan, she adored him.

Ethan got out
of the water and went back to his mom. Elisabeth asked what he was up to tonight and he told her he was heading to Kali’s. Elisabeth told him she was having a small dinner party tonight and suggested that he attend and bring Kali over. They both decided that would be a perfect idea. Ethan couldn’t wait.

W
ith that event not too far away, Elisabeth next to him and the sea feeling almost like part of him he had to verbalize the beauty and with a sip of his coffee he turned to his mom and told her.

“You know
, mom you could never have given me a more joyous, beautiful life.”

When
Ethan said it, Elisabeth saw the glow in his eyes, the gorgeous boy she always knew. She smiled, giggled. She loved him with all her heart and it gave her joy to love him so deeply.

Thanks, sweet heart,” she said.

In that moment she felt a piece of sadness at the beauty that bestowed her, everything was perfect and that too would change, it always changed, that was life, nothing stayed the same, always evolving, never still, the beauty changing form, but right now she had all her dreams. They got up from the beach and walked up the bank and returned to their home.

Ethan called Christian to see how he was. They didn’t say too much,
just being careful with what they said. Christian was always cautious towards information being given over the phone. He knew most likely it would be fine but he never wanted to give any proof to anyone, where it could be listened to. The main thing was Christian was okay so Ethan was cool with that.

Ethan
dialed Kali and she picked up the phone.

“Angel,” h
e said.

“Angel boy,” s
he said back and took a sharp intake of breath, it was a joy to hear his voice.

“My m
om is having dinner tonight with a few friends, she asked if you would like you to come over. What do you reckon?”

“Gosh o
kay, I’m little nervous though.”

“You’ll be fine
,” Ethan laughed. “My mom will just love you.”

They jumped off the phone and Kali knew she had a few hours to get ready. She was still a little tired from the night before. I
t seemed so long ago now.
What was happening to time?
She decided to stay in her bedroom and just read a book until it got closer to dinner.

Two hou
rs flew by as she read her book. Halo came in a couple of times and asked about Ethan and her sister Amy came in also to make sure she was alright.

“I’m fine
thanks,” Kali said, “I’m just getting some rest before I catch up with Ethan again tonight.”

Kali was fine, she just needed some time by herself to reflect and relax. She was nervous about the evening but excited too. She just wanted to love Ethan, but she also had that nagging feeling that she had to bring up the subject about her husband. It was ge
tting harder to bring the two together, they were so separate, but it had to be spoken about. When she was with Ethan she just closed that door like it didn’t exist. One thing for sure was Ethan had made it easy to move on, to move on from Jason. The old life and the newness that had entered felt almost like a tornado. So much had happened in a short space of time, wave after wave. Ethan was like a tornado, one of fun, love and warmth. He had come in with such an impact.

As she sat there thinking about the night
, she no longer felt trepidation. This was part of life and she was going to love tonight and deal with that past when it was ready to be looked at. When that happened she would deal with it then and be strong. Love conquered all, she knew that, and with that feeling she slipped into bed to have a quick doze before the night ahead.

Kali arrived at the door of Ethan’s. She rung the bell and three seconds later Ethan was before her. He opened the door quickly, dramatically.

“Com’on in. You’
re invited.”

She walked in, he was
so confident, he always kept her on her toes. She kissed him on the mouth and they walked down the hallway and she could sense the love in the home. It radiated and exuded warmth. Ethan turned to her.

“Before we go in I just want
to quickly say you look divinely hot.”

“Thanks.”

“Are you ready?” He could feel that Kali was a little nervous. “Aww” he said, “you look so cute. It’s pretty low key and my mom is pretty easy going, I know it will be super fine.”

“You’re super fine.”

“Yeah,” Ethan said nodding his head, and a smile broke out and they had to kiss and they both leaned in and their lips touched. It then became more passionate than what they were expecting and around the corner Elisabeth turned up.

“Hi,
” Elisabeth said.

They unlocked lips and Kali felt a little embarrassed.

“I wasn’t creeping up on you, Ethan,” she said trying not to laugh, “and this must be Kali.”

“Hi,
” Kali said.

She looked cute and shy
and Elisabeth really wanted to make her feel relaxed. She gave her a kiss on the check and hugged her.

“It’s so lovely to meet you,
” Elisabeth said, “you look gorgeous by the way.” She motioned them to follow her, then she stopped walking, looked at Kali and said, “but I just knew you would, I just knew.”

A little bit quirky like Ethan
,
nice,
she liked that. They walked into the open kitchen that joined to the Lounge and there were about eight guests. Elisabeth grabbed a red wine for Kali, and Ethan walked Kali to the balcony.

“Your house is
so wondrous,” Kali said to Ethan, “and what a beautiful energy. You’re right there is nothing to be nervous about with your mom, she is gorgeous! She is very attractive, but I’m not surprised, no wonder you’re so perfect.”

Ethan was a
little unsure what to say. A lot of compliments there, he was flattered. They faced the view, arms around each other and felt the energy between them, the energy of the moment and the stillness of the night, it flowed. It was amazing Ethan thought how beautiful life could be, how love could radiate so much and how pain could eventually dissipate and become depth, and find that love within that was already there waiting to be born, to be noticed.

The night went by like a sea breeze
, nothing too intense just like a late night summers wind. It was chilled and mellow, that was the theme tonight. The energy felt so relaxed and calm.

Carl and
Christian made a fleeting visit which made the evening even better. They were off to a small party and decided to pop in for a few beers.

They all
hung out on the balcony having their drinks. It felt good for Ethan to have quality time with Christian and Carl with Kali with him. The mix was cool. Carl charmingly told Kali she was a cool professor. He said it in such a way that she felt deeply flattered. He really meant it, and looked so cute and young when he said it. Kali found the combinations with her relationships so different now since she had met Ethan. She felt young around Ethan, like she was 16 again, but as she spoke to Carl she was both the 16 year old and the older woman, his teacher, and then there was Elisabeth, Ethan’s mom who was only 11 years older than her.

Kali loved
Ethan’s mom, she could see she was truly special. Ethan was the most beautiful man she had ever met and Elisabeth in the short time she had known her, was probably the most divine (and special) woman she had ever known. That was why she was nervous, Elisabeth was just so in tune, like she could read you immediately. It was beautiful but it made her nervous and a little shy with how Elisabeth could see her so easily.

Kali got to talk a lot to
Elisabeth through the evening, and near the end when everyone had gone, she found herself on the balcony with just herself and Elisabeth. They connected and spoke for a while. It was surprising for Kali to find Elisabeth single, only because she was so beautiful and gorgeous and full of quirks and heart, but life always had surprises, Ethan was single only a week or so ago.

Kali asked
Elisabeth how long they had lived there. It had been seven years and Elisabeth told her how they used to live in Noe Valley, San Francisco before then.

Elisabeth
liked abundance and the good life, though she had always remained down to earth. She knew what it was like to struggle, she had been there when she had brought up Ethan on her own. She knew how hard it could be to get out of those hard times. It was a long time ago now but those difficult times did give her the depth and understanding, especially towards others. She was a very compassionate woman. How the universe and the angels viewed compassion and with how humans did, were two different things. That she knew.

It was time for bed and Ethan and Kali said goodnight to Elisabeth and they headed upstairs to Ethan’s bedroom. Ethan went up the staircase that had the curve as it went up. He got to the top and they walked to his bedroom and they entered.

So this is me,” Ethan said as they both walked in and he closed the door.

Hmm…lovely,” she said looking at the black and white pictures on his wall and the door to his balcony. The room felt warm to her, it felt like Ethan, it had Ethan’s presence all in it. Ethan sat on his bed.

I sleep on this side,” he said.

Sure, though if I decide I like your side, I might just roll you over.”

They sat on his bed, just lying there cuddled up. The night had been gentle and Kali felt that peace in her heart and the joy from just being in Ethan’s bedroom and feeling so much love. A little later they decided it was time to jump into bed.

“You know, I can’t take all my clothes off,” she said.

I know.”

When she said that it made Ethan
feel that sexual pull. He heard the words but he also felt the feeling of Kali Taking her clothes off. Just hearing those words with the image he received made him take a deep breath. It was only a night ago that they had their first kiss so it made sense to go slow. Ethan felt perfectly fine to go slow, but as much as they tried to go slow, something was speeding up. They were getting to know one another really fast. They were going slow, while their emotions were speeding up, they were evolving fast.

Kali got undressed and too
k her clothes off. She got down to her underwear and jumped into bed. Ethan did the same, taking his clothes off until he was wearing just his boxers. As he stripped down he did watch Kali and he saw her half naked. She looked delicious, her skin looked so soft. Kali rolled into Ethan and their bodies came together. It felt so enlightened and right for them both. They started kissing with their bodies intertwined and they felt that desire of wanting more. Kali pulled herself away for a moment and giggled. She could feel all the passion in Ethan. It also felt good to go slow, to savor this moment and for this time to be unknown, not expected, like two teenagers just finding their way. They lay there and as they did, peace just overflowed them both and made them feel sleepy. Their eyes closed nearly. Then Kali opened her eyes gently and looked at Ethan. She loved him and realized she had to bring it up, the subject of her husband.
