Chapter 6

After the confrontation with Milo, the rest of the week was business as usual. Jacob attended a cocktail event one afternoon, but it was just a briefing on some new industry regulations. There was no need to bring a date; Vivienne would have been bored anyway.

But after the meeting, Jacob gave her a call. He missed her, and the week seemed unusually long. “Hi, baby. How was lunch with my mother?”

“It’s good to hear from you,” Vivienne said. “Lunch was very enjoyable. I adore Sophia, and I’m glad I was able to spend some time with her.”

“I know she feels the same about you.”

“She’s looking forward to Sardinia, and she bought a couple of things to take on the trip,” Vivienne said. “It’s too bad we won’t see your parents on Thanksgiving.”

“Maybe it will work out for Christmas.” Jacob included Vivienne in his life, and it seemed the natural thing to do. He couldn’t envision being apart over the holidays.

“Yes, maybe. Although your mother says it’s hard to get everyone together. So, we’ll see.”

If Sophia had spoken of anything more personal with Vivienne, she didn’t mention it. His mother knew everything—well, almost everything—about him. And he trusted her. Jacob knew she was pleased to see him with Vivienne, since she’d told him several times.

“I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,” Vivienne said.

“Me too, baby.” Jacob was anxious for the weekend to arrive.

*****

As relaxed as the previous weekend together had been, this weekend was the opposite. It was filled with activity. Vivienne wanted to go dancing on Friday night, so Jacob took her out. One thing about New York was that if Jacob was bored then he was doing something wrong, because there was an array of choices in the city’s nightlife. An evening on the town only required picking a place to go, from one of the many clubs in Manhattan.

Jacob decided to give Marquee a try. He’d read that the current owners had torn off the roof of a former garage, and custom-designed the interior. The place had been around for years, and accommodated hundreds of guests. But it was still a hot spot, and they had trouble getting past the velvet rope.

Inside, there was a vaulted ceiling, a glass-beaded chandelier, and a spectacular double-sided staircase leading to a mezzanine overlooking the scene. Jacob and Vivienne sipped cocktails while watching the action below. Then they went down to the dance floor.

There were disco lights of all kinds, a huge LCD screen behind the DJ booth, and plenty of open space to dance. Vivienne seemed to like the razzle-dazzle of the place, and they danced until after eleven. Then Jacob took her to a restaurant to grab a late night snack before heading back to the penthouse.

The next afternoon, they had tickets for the Big Apple Circus in Lincoln Plaza Center, to the left of the Metropolitan Opera House. As Vivienne said, “The circus is not just for kids.” She was right. They had box seats that were comfortably cushioned. The two-hour show was a sort of circus extravaganza set in the 1920s. It featured acts from the four corners of the globe.

The climate-controlled tent was packed. There were ships, trains, automobiles, and airplanes that served as the backdrop for breathtaking acts of wonder. The Big Apple Circus Band played live, and the performers included clowns, jugglers, acrobats, and aerialists. The audience was rowdy, and cheered after each act.

By the time they left, Vivienne was grinning and laughing. Jacob had wanted to do something different and exciting. It seemed the circus had been a good choice. He enjoyed it more than he’d thought he would, and it had taken him back to some happy moments of his childhood.

Dinner reservations were at The Peacock, a renovated townhouse just off Fifth, which was a part of Williams Hotel. The establishment offered a taste of Britain. Jacob had been there before, and the restaurant definitely had the feel of the fine dining he’d experienced in London.

Vivienne commented on the stuffed peacock in front of the old wood-burning fireplace, as they were guided to their table in a lush paneled parlor. Jacob had chosen an elegant dining experience, his attempt at romance.

He had something for Vivienne, and thought the classic restaurant would be a good setting for giving it to her. “It’s so charming here,” Vivienne said, looking around at the dark wood paneling, and the artwork above the ornate fireplace.

“It’s a lot like being in Britain.”

“And the menu is interesting,” Vivienne said. “There are so many unique things. I’ll have to consult with the waiter about what to order.”

The restaurant dishes were sophisticated, but were thought of as
unfussy fare,
including a lot of
traditional British cuisine. They started with a British cheese board of sourdough bread with Stilton, cheddar, biscuits, honey, and grape chutney.

It was paired with a glass of port that balanced out the pungent Stilton, a good combination. “I thought port was for drinking after dinner,” Vivienne said.

“It can be, but in some parts of the world it’s served all the way through the meal.” Jacob savored the salty cheese and the sweetness of the port. “It’s versatile, and can be served as an aperitif.”

For the main meal, Jacob ordered the mussels, cooked with beer, bacon, celery, and served with garlic bread. Vivienne chose the fish and chips with a side of mushy peas. The fish was beer battered and the dish came with triple chips.

“I’ve heard that fish and chips are popular in Britain, so what better place to try them than here? And the waiter did say they are a favorite at this restaurant,” Vivienne said. “But you’ll have to help me eat the chips. I’m sure it’s a generous portion.”

Jacob selected a crisp, zingy Chablis to drink with the meal. He delayed his surprise for Vivienne, taking the time to appreciate the food. Jacob took pleasure in seeing her enjoy her perfectly prepared fish and chips. After the plates were cleared, and the dessert menus were brought to the table, it seemed like the right time.

“I have something for you,” Jacob said.

Vivienne looked up, her green eyes sparkling. “What is it?”

Jacob withdrew a slim velvet box from his jacket pocket. “It’s not for any special occasion,” he said. “It’s just because I want you to have it.” It was a sign of how he felt about her. It was his attempt at romance, without being sappy.

Before she even opened it, Vivienne’s eyes were teary. Then she opened the box and lifted out the lovely white gold necklace. The pendant was a brilliant-cut diamond that shined under the low light.

“Jacob, this is too beautiful.” Vivienne held it up, watching the diamond sparkle as she turned it in her hand.

“It will go with your diamond bracelet.” Jacob went over and clasped the jewelry around her neck, then kissed her cheek. At least she hadn’t rejected it. There was a time when she resisted him buying her anything. But lately, his gifts brought her only delight.

Vivienne fingered the diamond pendant, then reached across the table to take Jacob’s hand. “It’s just so…romantic.”

Jacob looked into Vivienne’s eyes, admiring her beauty; the necklace looked good on her. “I’m not as cold-hearted as you might imagine.”

“I never thought that about you.”

Vivienne’s reply surprised him, but it really shouldn’t have. She’d made a vow of love. Jacob doubted she would have such feelings about a man she thought lacked warmth. If only he could see himself as she did…but he was making an effort.

*****

When they got to the penthouse, Jacob took Vivienne’s hand to lead her upstairs. His moment of romanticism had passed, replaced with fierier urges. She had looked so beautiful in the dim restaurant lighting, and Jacob had imagined her wearing only the gleaming necklace.

The door closed behind them, and Jacob turned on the recessed lighting. “Go and stand by the bed.” Vivienne complied. He watched the sway of her hips as she walked across the room, with her high heels clicking on the polished floor. Then he followed.

Jacob dug his hands into her long hair and pulled her close for a kiss. She tasted sweet and feminine. He dipped his tongue into her hot mouth, making her moan. Then he grabbed a fistful of her hair and pulled her head back.

Holding her tightly, Jacob began to undress her. First he slowly undid the buttons down the front of her shimmery blouse and pulled it open. Vivienne’s breasts swelled above the lace of her bra, luscious and tempting.

Jacob yanked down the lacy cups to reveal her rosy nipples. He grabbed her hair harder, pulling her head back a little more, before leaning down to lavish her breasts with attention. He licked over the creamy swell of her breasts, then flicked his tongue over her nipples.

Vivienne whimpered when he bit lightly at her pink nipples. “Does it hurt, baby?”

“In a good way, sir.”

Jacob bit harder, then held one nipple in his teeth, tugging lustfully. “Did that hurt more?”

“Yes, sir.” Vivienne’s ragged breathing was satisfying. He loved seeing her in such a state.

He released her hair, and unclasped her bra, letting it fall to the floor. He held Vivienne’s waist and tapped his shoe against her high heel. Taking the cue, she stepped out of her shoes. Jacob undid the zipper of her skirt and it slid to her ankles.

“Turn around,” Jacob said. “Bend over and pull down your panties. I want to see your bare ass.”

Slowly Vivienne turned, then she hooked her thumbs in the elastic band and shoved her panties down. Jacob drank in the sight of her firm ass. “That’s good, baby. Now drop them all the way down.”

Vivienne did so, but remained bent over, waiting for his next command. Jacob palmed her ass cheeks, feeling her silky skin, then he whacked his palm against her butt. “You think I’ve been nice?”

At first, she didn’t respond.

“Have I, Vivienne?”

“Yes, sir.”

Jacob grabbed her arms and turned her to face him. The tinge of anxiety in her eyes was a turn-on. “But I’m not
nice
…not nice at all.”

Vivienne looked into his eyes.

“Get up on the bed. Now.”

She shimmied up onto the satin sheets and stretched out, wearing only the diamond necklace. Jacob quickly stripped off his clothes, liking how Vivienne’s eyes widened at the sight of his naked cock.

“That necklace does look beautiful on you,” Jacob said, his gaze traveling over her satin skin. The diamond glittered around her neck. “You better hand it to me for now.” When she took it off and handed it to him, Jacob put it on the side table.

Then he opened a drawer, finding what he sought. Standing beside the bed, he said, “Sit up, Vivienne.”

When she did, Jacob held up the white leather collar so she could see it better. He’d purchased the collar for sex play with her, preferring the white for its symbol of purity. And it did look good contrasted with Vivienne’s emerald-green eyes.

It was to be worn while
in scene
, and would be a powerful part of the ritual. The collar made the physical control Jacob had over Vivienne starkly clear. Putting it around her neck was an excellent way to start, as he knew wearing it was a signal that would ignite submissive desires.

“Come to the edge of the bed, and get up on your knees.” When Vivienne was close enough, he put the leather collar around her neck and buckled it in back. It looked damn good. He rather liked seeing her in it. Jacob opened his palm to reveal a tiny gold padlock.

Vivienne swallowed, and stared at the lock.

“This is to make it clear that the collar does not come off until I decide to take it off.” Jacob reached behind and slipped the lock into the silver buckle, then clipped it shut. The snapping sound it made as it locked into place added to the mood.

Jacob retrieved the long leather leash and attached it to the bondage collar. “Get down on the floor on all fours, Vivienne.” She crawled to the edge of the bed and dropped to the floor, with her eyes cast down. She didn’t look up, or challenge him in any way, keeping her posture submissive.

Her demeanor pleased him. Jacob tugged on the leash to give Vivienne the idea of control. “You will do as I say, won’t you?”

“Yes, sir.”

Seeing Vivienne on the floor in front of him, with the tantalizing collar around her slender neck, sent molten heat to Jacob’s loins. Dominant urges welled up, and he felt deliciously high. He sat on the edge of the bed, with his cock hard as a rock.

“Crawl over to me.”

When Vivienne crawled over, her movements were like a sleek cat, fluid and beautiful. Jacob had never felt more deeply for her than in that split second of time. Her face hovered near his cock. His wide knob was purple, and his balls ached.

She would do whatever he wanted, and that was an indescribable feeling. Jacob moved his hand down the leash so it was closer to the collar, giving him more control. He pulled it taut, then opened his thighs.

“Suck my dick. And do it right, Vivienne. It’s your job to pleasure me.”

Jacob could have bound her hands, but he wanted her to use them. Vivienne put her palms on his thighs and licked up his cock like it was a treat. Then she flicked the tip of her tongue along his bulging veins.
