Death Ride (Blue Bandits MC Book 5) (21 page)

“Ha, when have I ever not taken care of you, brat. Even if I did come first you know I would make up for it by making you come three times and then I would fuck you again for good measure.” Death sucked her nipple for a long moment, making her moan as her hands buried in his hair holding on for dear life as pleasure rippled through her. “Damn, you’re so fucking beautiful,” he muttered as his head lifted and he gazed down at her with such love and passion that her breath caught and she couldn’t look away from his dark eyes. Jamie was unable to stop the words that flowed from her mouth.

“I love you, Death,” she whispered.

“Baby, you’re everything I ever wanted wrapped up in a dream and I couldn’t survive without you for even a day. I almost died when I thought you’d leave me and nothing would stop me from coming with you if you did leave.” Death’s words were heated as he leaned down kissing her long and deep, while tears stung her eyes at the feeling she could hear in the words he had just spoken.

“Don’t say that. I would want you to live if I were gone,” Jamie whispered.

“Never going to happen, babe. You go and I will follow. It’s just the way it is now because two weeks with you lying still and quiet showed me how life was going to be from now on. You’re my world and that’s how it is now.” Death kissed her chin and then her eyelids before kissing her lips.

“It can’t be that way, Death. People need you and if we have children they would need you so you have to promise me that you’d stay and take care of them.” Jamie tugged on his hair to get him to look her in the eye.

“Fine, for our children, but not for any of these other fucks,” Death growled looking grim, and Jamie realized that was the best she was getting from him so she nodded. Death’s heavy-lidded gaze met hers and his mouth closed over her nipple again seconds later making her moan and arch into his caresses, content to be surrounded by the love she knew would last a lifetime.

Epilogue

Jamie cringed a little when she heard Death roar her name as she tried to hide inside the bathroom. She looked down at her hands and grimaced when she saw the way the backs of them were dirty and grass stains were on her arms.
Shit, if he saw her like this she was in trouble for sure.
She started scrubbing them vigorously. Looking at her face in the mirror, she moaned at the dirt on her face too.
Shit.
It had been worth it though even if she did get yelled at for going out with Sarah and Roz today. They had all enjoyed the outing and she’d felt free again for the first time in months.

She loved being here with Death and his motley crew of bikers but she’d felt a little homesick for the wild times she’d had with the girls at home. Not that she wanted to go back but she did miss the antics they got up to, like the outing today which Sarah had helped her set up with Roz and some of the sweetbutts who wanted to try it.

Still trying to wash off all the evidence, she jumped when the door to the bathroom was slammed open and an angry Death stood glaring at her from the doorway. She took in the way he stood with his hand resting on the door handle, his nostrils flaring and his eyes narrowed as he glared at her.

Uh-oh.

She smiled sweetly. “Hi honey.”

“Don’t you
‘hi honey’
me, you little brat!” he growled and she winced. “What the hell were you thinking? You’re pregnant!”

“I’m well aware I’m pregnant, Death,” she muttered rolling her eyes. “It’s why I only rode the bike for a short time where it was flat and I asked Lance before I did it. It’s fine.”

“You could have crashed!” Death roared taking a step forward, his hands grabbing her arms in a tight hold as he shook her slightly, looking tormented.

Damn, she hadn’t meant to upset him so much.

She’d known if he found out he’d be upset with her but she hadn’t realized he would be this upset. Death looked pale and his eyes were filled with a pain she knew wouldn’t go away for either of them because they were both still sad about losing the babies almost a year ago. Their life had been a rollercoaster for the last year but they’d been together and that was what had mattered.

The love between them sometimes shocked her. They both felt it deeply and it had only grown in the past eleven months they’d spent together. Although at the moment Death looked demented, Jamie knew that he didn’t like the idea of anything bad happening to her, not that he wanted to stifle her. Knowing that was the only thing that made his overprotective behavior bearable.

“I was careful and I’ve been riding dirt bikes for years, Death. I’m actually quite good at it,” Jamie muttered as she was jerked into his arms and he held her against his chest tightly. His body shook a little and she realized he must have been terrified. It made her feel bad that she’d worried him so much. If it hadn’t been for Iron—who caught them riding the bikes about two miles from the clubhouse when he’d returned this afternoon—he wouldn’t have even known about her riding them.

“I don’t care and did you even think about the fact that our club’s at war still and if they’d found you all out there they might have hurt you or worse?” Death growled, pulling back to gaze down at her with a dark glower.

“Yes, which is why Sarah arranged to have the prospects guarding the area. You already know that though because that’s how Iron found us today.” Jamie hadn’t been too happy with the idiot who’d sold them out to Iron either. Not that Sarah or Roz had been too keen on him either but she’d known that Death would react poorly. She rested her hands on his chest and stood on her tiptoes to kiss his mouth gently.

“Fine, but don’t pull any shit like that again. At least not till after the baby is born. You know it isn’t safe,” Death muttered when her lips pulled back from his. He rested his forehead against hers before he whispered softly, “I missed you.”

Death and most of the club had been gone for a little over four days to help Evert handle another raid on the previous Headhunters’ last group. Over the past year they’d slowly managed to eradicate the old group and begin to repair the Headhunter’s name. People didn’t cringe when they saw them coming and Evert had finally started to gain momentum on getting new recruits who weren’t assholes. Jamie was glad because she wanted her brother and the club to make it; even if she wasn’t with them, she still loved them all.

“I missed you too.”

Jamie allowed Death to kiss her again, this time more deeply and his hard hands moved on her hips, pulling her to him as he nipped at her lips and began to caress her. She moaned when his lips slipped down the side of her neck to a particularly sensitive spot she loved him to tease.

Death lifted his head. “You know I’m still going to spank you for worrying me, right?”

“Ha, we will see about that. Who knows, maybe I’ll spank you instead,” Jamie teased.

“Not likely,” Death snorted as he lifted her up and carried her towards their bed, tossing her down on the soft mattress before following. Jamie giggled as he took control of her and made love to her with all the passion she’d come to expect from her old man since he’d patched her, leaving her satisfied and content if a little pissed that her ass was sore when he was finished.
