Dirty Dancing (Audition With A Billionaire, #1) (Erotic Romance) (2 page)

The other two judges backed up slowly in their chairs, motioning for security. I kept my gaze on Michael, inching closer to his face waiting for him to look at me, but he didn’t.

“Answer me!” I demanded. “You think that just because you’re some rich snob who owns an entertainment company, you can just ignore people like that? What’s the matter, are you scared to say something to me? Can you even speak English?”

A crease line appeared at the side of his mouth. His head didn’t move but his eyes slowly moved up to mine. The whites of his teeth slowly exposed as he chortled. He had a dark brown quiff which was styled back. I was strangely drawn to his demeanor but still really pissed off.

I felt two strong hands pulling me away. Michael shook his head once again as he watched me get carried off.

CHAPTER FIVE
Chapter 5

The doors opened and Danny was waiting for me outside, he ran up and wrapped his arms around my tense body.

“I’m sorry,” he said, squeezing a little harder.

“No, no it’s fine.” I murmured, “I don’t even care. Congratulations, though.”

I held my tears back and put on a fake smile as I pulled myself away, “I knew this would happen anyways.”

“Let’s get out of here, I know a good breakfa—“

“Is it okay if you just drop me off at home? I’m not really hungry right now.”

“Yeah, no problem. I’m not that hungry either.”

The car ride back was silent, except for the wind blowing through my hair as I leaned against the passengers side window and Danny’s extremely loud grumbling stomach. I thought it was nice of him to pretend he wasn’t hungry just for me. He parked in my driveway and looked me in the eyes but I knew he didn’t know what to say and I couldn’t blame him for that at all.

“Hey, thanks for coming along.”

“Yeah.”

“Look, I—“

“I’m going in now. Thanks for the ride and congratulations again on making it.” I closed the door behind me, not looking back as I made my way to the steps of my front door.

Danny’s engine grumbled and I turned towards his car, faking another smile as I waved him goodbye.

I made my way into my house, walking straight to my bed and plopped down on my stomach. My eyes felt heavy and I was tired of it all. I could feel the emotion draining from my body, along with the tears flowing out of my closed eyelids.

Fuck Michael.

CHAPTER SIX
Chapter 6

I woke up around 7 PM to a knock on my door. It was dark and I didn’t want to get up but whoever was at the door kept knocking. I stood up, still half-asleep wanting to kill whoever it was at my door. As I slowly came around, memories of this morning started flooding my head.

“Crystal! I know you’re in there, open this damn door already, I’m freezing!”

I smiled a little when I realized who it was. I slowly made my way to the front of the door.

“Who is it?”

“Quit playing, girl, hurry up and open the door!”

Messing with Danny was one of my favorite things to do. His voice always changed to a higher pitch whenever he was irritated. It also happened whenever he’d shout at someone. His accent seemed to change as well, as if he was some rapper or someone from ‘the hood’. I never understood where his accent came from, it’s not like we grew up in a ghetto town or anything. It must be a dancer thing to talk that way.

I opened it slowly and he pushed his way in.

“Are you kidding me, girl?” he shivered over dramatically while glaring at me.

I chuckled, “What are you talking about?”

“You know damn well what I’m talking about! Do you
not
know how cold it was out there?”

I closed the door behind me, giggling at how angry he was.

“I swear, one of these days when you’re all scared and shit, I’m kicking you out my house and you’re walking back home all by yourself.”

“So you were scared out there, Danny?” I asked, looking doe-eyed.

“NO! It was cold, woman. Geez…” He made his way towards my kitchen. “I got you a little something to cheer you up.”

I followed behind him wondering what it could be. Suddenly, he spun around and began doing some weird dance move followed by multiple body rolls while holding up a bottle of vodka. As goofy as this was, the way he moved his body was evidence enough to tell that he’d be really good in bed. Some girl is going to be so lucky to fuck him, I’m almost a little jealous just thinking about it.

“Drink up! I’m taking you out,” he said, still dancing.

“I don’t even want to do anything, Danny.”

He paused, “Look, I know you’re sad and all that but you need to get over it. It’s not like this was your one and only chance of getting noticed. You’re still a great singer and dancer so stop moping around about what one guy
didn’t
say to you.”

“Yeah, you’re right, but I seriously hate that guy, who does he think he is?”

“Well, for one, he’s the CEO of MK Entertainment so he can do whatever he damn well pleases.”

I grabbed the bottle from his hand, “How do you open this thing?”

“Um, don’t you need a shot glass?”

“No,” I managed to pry it open and quickly poured around five gulps worth of vodka straight into my mouth. I felt the burn as it made its way down my throat. I held my nose trying hard not to taste it.

“Damn, girl!”

I slammed the bottle down on the table, my throat burning now as I exhaled.

“You?” I said, tilting the top of the bottle in Danny’s direction.

“I’m driving!”

“Oh yeah,” I burped, my face still cringing at the aftertaste.

“Now that you have a head start, go put something nicer on and let’s get out of here!”

“What do you mean ‘
nicer
’? What’s wrong with this?” I pulled my tank top up as if it were a skirt and spun around, exposing my torso.

“Just hurry up! You look like you just woke up from a 5 year nap!”

“Okay, that’s kind of true” I slurred. “F-Fine, I’ll go put on some
nicer
clothes, you asshole.”

I stumbled towards my bedroom, smiling. Maybe I should head back to the kitchen naked, holding two different outfits for him to choose from. No, he has to be gay. Drunken thoughts, Crystal, drunken thoughts. He’s definitely gay, he has to be.

CHAPTER SEVEN
Chapter 7

“Wait, stop!”

“Really?”

“Yes, put it back!”

Danny turned the radio back to the song I wanted to hear. It was an overplayed pop song that was really catchy and upbeat.

I sat up from the car seat and began dancing, slurring the lyrics as loud as I could.

“Okay, calm down! You’re gonna get me pulled over!”

I continued, singing into my imaginary microphone as Danny shook his head.

“Come on, have a little fun!”

He continued driving, completely focused on the road. Danny was silent all the way up to the chorus. That was when he smiled at me and suddenly started singing along. I was so happy, as if I had just received the greatest present ever.

We drove into the parking lot while singing at the top of our lungs. Quickly after entering, my body shot forward as Danny floored the breaks. The seatbelt dug into my chest, stinging me just a little. Some guy in an expensive black car cut us off and pulled up to the front of the entrance.

“What the fuck was that! I’m going to kill that asshole!” I was so angry that I fumbled with the car door’s handle and tried to open the window a few times, failing horribly and shouting at the passenger’s side window causing bursts of fog against the glass.

Danny turned the corner as I continued yelling at the car.

“Chill. Just forget about that douche.”

“But he almost killed us!”

“I know, but whatever, just let it go,” I could tell Danny was upset about it too but wanted me to calm down so I sat back and crossed my arms.

We found a spot not too far from the entrance and I got out and slammed the door hoping I could get a glimpse of whoever it was that almost killed us but the car was gone.

“Alright, act sober or they won’t let you in. You know this.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”

The bouncer did the usual: check our ID’s, made sure I wasn’t carrying any weapons and then they patted us down. They get a little too close sometimes when they feel you up.

We entered the dark pathway as the bass blared from the speakers, getting louder with each step. Danny’s mood suddenly shifted and he started dancing again, so I followed suit.

The place was dark with neon lights, loud music, and a huge crowd. We sifted through the people, each one either smiling as we passed by or too focused grinding on someone else.

“Where are we?” I screamed over the music.

“Don’t worry about it, just have fun!”

I let out a confused smile and started bobbing my head to the music while we continued our way through the crowd.

“You want something to drink?”

“Alright, my buzz is almost gone.” I was still a little drunk but I wasn’t drunk enough.

Danny and I went over to the bar and once one of bartenders acknowledged us, we were handed two drinks. We each grabbed a glass, and looked at each other confused.

The bartender smiled, “Compliments of the gentleman over there,” pointing across the bar to a man standing with a drink in his hands.

It was him. Michael Krinsen. The asshole CEO.

He put two extended fingers to his eyebrows and pushed them forward, saluting us, then he took a sip and turned around, walking off into the crowd.

“Was that who I think it was?”

“Uh, yeah. I didn’t think he would be here.”

“What do you mean? Where are we
really
, Danny?”

“Okay, I wasn’t going to tell you but since you already saw him I might as well: we’re at the celebration event for the contestants that made the cut.”

“You’re joking, right? Of all the places, why would you think I’d want to be here?”

“I’m sorry but I wasn’t expecting Michael to actually be here! It’s not like you would have known if he didn’t show up! Plus, you’re my best buddy,” he put an arm around me, “I’d rather celebrate this night with you, not with all of these random people that I don’t even know!”

He seemed genuinely sorry and I was still upset about it all, but this was his night. I want him to have as much fun as possible so I shouldn’t cause a scene.

“You owe me big time, buddy.”

“I know, I know. Let’s go dance!”

CHAPTER EIGHT
Chapter 8

After sifting through the crowd while holding our glass in the air, we managed to find a spot near the middle to dance. Lots of good looking people surrounded us, dancing together as if they were having sex on the dance floor. Many of them were hot, not just your average cutie next door hot, but possible-celebrity hot. I noticed a few familiar faces from the auditions and wondered how their performances could have been better than mine while I bobbed my head to the music.

“Hey!” Danny lifted his glass towards me, “Cheers!”

I smacked my glass against his, “Cheers!”

We danced in place, keeping a safe distance from each other while slowly sipping on our drinks. I could tell Danny was getting tipsy by the way he kept staring into my eyes. This familiar stare, where he gazed back and fourth into my eyes, down to my lips, only happened after he’s had a few drinks. Whatever Michael got us must have been strong.

Danny lifted his glass and as I looked up at it, I felt his palm gently hold my waist. He scooted in closer, pulling my body against his. He did this thing with his hips as he danced, similar to those belly dancers who have amazing control of their bodies. It gyrated to the beat and I felt like I was in a trance. He smiled as I moved myself closer, trying to match his movement but unable to keep up.

“Bottoms up!”

We clanked our glasses and downed the rest of the drink. My buzz was back now in full effect, and I felt on top of the world. At that moment, it felt like nothing mattered except Danny. The entire room became a blur and all that I could see was Danny’s face, glowing in the light creating shadows in all the right places. He put his other hand around my waist, pulling me a little closer. I closed my eyes as we began grinding on each other.

I placed my legs between his and felt the top of his thigh rubbing against the outside of my panties. It felt like every spot was being hit with precision to the beat. Danny’s strong hands guided me now and we began moving in unison. I closed my eyes and imagined that this is how sex with Danny would feel like. My breathing got heavier each second, trying hard not to moan.

He turned me around and I opened my eyes slightly, looking at people in front of me dancing to the beat. The neon lights were flashing in the dark and I closed my lids again as Danny placed himself against my ass.

He kept one hand on my waist and pulled me in closer to his body.

“Having fun?” he whispered.

I nodded, rubbing my ass against him as his hand slid down my waist towards my legs. Each touch from Danny felt like a vibration. We motioned to the music as if we were one.

I felt a soft trace of his finger go slowly down my arm and into my hand. He squeezed it tightly and let go. My eye’s opened when I realized there was now a piece of folded paper in my palms.

I quickly turned around and saw Danny grinding with some girl with blonde hair. He smiled, giving me a thumbs up.

I collected my thoughts and glanced around the dance floor but it was too crowded and I couldn’t really see anything. I unfolded the paper, trying hard to focus on what was written on it.

“469.”

I looked up at everyone dancing then back to Danny. Our eyes met and I pointed at the paper. He continued dancing with the girl and gave me a shrug.

“I’ll be right back!” I yelled. Danny nodded and I made my way through the crowd towards the restroom.

The lights in the restroom were bright, almost blinding. I examined the paper, flipping it over and over as if something else would appear but all it said was ‘469’.
