Maya Vaughn, the hottest young pastry chef to emerge from the reality television machine, enjoys spending time with men and women alike. When she takes a turn as a judge on the very show that launched her career, she expects to find a nice change of scenery and a little diversion.

A late-bloomer at forty-two years old, Shannon Hayes is finally on the precipice of achieving her dreams. She has one shot to prove she can compete with chefs half her age with much more experience. Engaging in a fling with a judge fourteen years her junior would almost certainly kill that chance.

About the Author

Born and raised in Upstate New York, Erin Dutton moved to Nashville, Tennessee, eight years ago. No longer a Yankee, and yet not a true Southerner, she remains somewhere between the two, and is happy to claim both places as home. Her days are spent earning a living, while her nights and weekends are divided between several of her favorite things: writing, reading, golf, and her friends.

Designed for Love
is …rich in love, romance, and sex. Dutton gives her readers a roller coaster ride filled with sexual thrills and chills.
Designed for Love
is the perfect book to curl up with on a cold winter’s day.”—

Sequestered Hearts
is packed with raw emotion, but filled with tender moments too. The author writes with sophistication that one would expect from a veteran author. …A romance is about more than just plot and character development. It’s about passion, physical intimacy, and connection between the characters. The reader should have a visceral reaction to what is going on within the pages for the novel to succeed. Dutton’s words match perfectly with the emotion she has created.
Sequestered Hearts
is one book that cannot be overlooked. It is romance at its finest

Sequestered Hearts
by first time novelist, Erin Dutton, is everything a romance should be. It is teeming with longing, heartbreak, and of course, love. …As pure romances go, it is one of the best in print today.”—

“…Dutton’s studied evocation of the macho world of firefighting gives the story extra oomph—and happily ever after is what a good romance is all about, right?”—

Point of Ignition…
“Erin Dutton has given her fans another fast paced story of fire, with both buildings and emotions burning hotly. …Dutton has done an excellent job of portraying two women who are each fighting for their own dignity and learning to trust again. The delicate tug of war between the characters is well done as is the dichotomy of boredom and drama faced daily by the firefighters.
Point of Ignition
is a story told well that will touch its readers.”—

Acknowledgments

With every new book, I learn new things from my editor, Dr. Shelley Thrasher. Shelley, you make every book even better and you make me a stronger writer. Thanks also to everyone at Bold Strokes Books who does their part to produce a library that I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.

With this book, I also got the opportunity to explore another interest. I was honored to have Sheri include one of my photographs in her awesome cover design. Thanks to Marcia and Lana at Hermitage Bakery for your friendship and for allowing me to watch you work. And for your petit-fours. They are truly amazing.

Thanks to fellow BSB author Rebekah Weatherspoon for sharing your knowledge of reality television. Any errors or liberties I’ve taken are mine alone.

Thanks to D. Jackson Leigh, Donna K. Ford, Yolanda Wallace, and VK Powell for including me in the Southeast Pride Tour these past couple of years. Meeting up with these talented authors inspires me to work harder and write more. And to everyone who’s come out to visit our booths and chat with us about books. It’s so cool to talk to fellow readers and share the excitement.

As always, I’m grateful for my friends and family who love and support me in everything I do. I’m so blessed. This book wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my partner, Christina. She is always there when I need to talk about the story. And, when necessary, she takes care of everything else, so I have time to get the words on the page.

“You’re the most well-known openly bisexual chef on television today.”

Maya Vaughn canted her head and regarded Charlie Sutter with an expression she knew conveyed amusement. “Is that a question?”
