He pulled me to his chest, and I felt his cock still pumping the last of his cum deep in my pussy. He held me there still buried within me as our haggard breathing began to slow. As his erection waned, I felt him soften within me. Carefully, I climbed off Ryan and out of bed.

“Whoa, that’s cold,” Ryan squealed, as the cold air of the room hit the moisture that coated his flaccid dick.

“Hold on one sec, I am going to go grab a washcloth.” I hurried to the en suite without bothering to dress, ran the water, cleaned myself before getting another clean washcloth, and returning to Ryan. I wiped him down with the lukewarm cloth and he grabbed it from me, threw it on the floor, and pulled me toward him by my hips.

“What did you do that for? I’m was going to go finish cleaning myself up.”

“Allow me,” he growled as lust filled his eyes once more. He pulled me by the hips to his face, grabbed one leg and pulled my pussy to his face and ate me like a starving man, bringing me to orgasm over and over until he’d had his fill. I don’t know when we finally passed out, but I lost track of all sense and time as blissful exhaustion dragged me under and I fell asleep in Ryan’s arms.

Beep Beep Beep Beep
. The shrill sound of a back-up alarm roused me from sleep as the sun peeked through the curtains.

Oh shit, someone is here
. I carefully tried to extricate myself from Ryan’s death grip and find my clothes but he pulled my tighter as one eye opened to a thin slit.

“Where you going, sunshine?” he grumbled.

“I have to get dressed. Someone is here. It’s probably your nurse,” I said, frantically trying to wiggle out of his grasp.

“It’s just the plow, babe. There is no nurse coming.” He said lazily as he planted a kiss on my forehead.

I looked at my watch and it was after 10:00, “It has to be the nurse, he probably followed the plow all the way here. He is late.”

Ryan opened his eyes, took my face in his hands, and said firmly, “There is no weekend nurse coming, Lyds. I fired him months ago. It’s just you. You are all I need.”

I was stunned and all I could muster was, “What do you mean? What do you do all weekend? How?”

Ryan stroked my cheek, “A while ago baby, a while ago. You give me everything I could need and want. Why do you think there is always a counter and table full of dishes on Monday?”

It was starting to make sense as the realization hit me that all these weekends Ryan had been alone. I would come in Monday to one hell of a mess of dishes and empty Tupperware and full garbage cans. I always thought the weekend nurse was just a lazy jerk that left all the work for me.

Ryan couldn’t reach the sink. The sink was always empty
.

“Oh my god, Ryan why didn’t you tell me? I could have come in on the weekend.” Ryan let out a heavy sigh and leaned his forehead against mine.

“Lydia, I don’t want a weekend nurse. Hell, I don’t even want a weekday nurse…”

“You said you weren’t firing me!” I said pleadingly. “I knew this was a bad idea. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”

“Lydia, STOP!” his voice boomed though the bedroom, and I was stunned. He took my face in his hands and whispered, “I don’t want a nurse. I want you, a lover, a companion, a crock-pot loving, over decorating, beautiful woman. Not because someone pays you to be here, but because you want to be here.” He pressed a gentle kiss and lingered on my lips before he pulled away.

“Stay with me. Be my wife. Maybe not today, but I want you to know that is my endgame.” I looked into his steel blue eyes and I knew I was done. Every wall came crashing down as my tears poured from my eyes. Ryan released my face and held me to his bare chest as my tears pooled beneath my cheek, wetting his torso. The floodgates were open and I just couldn’t stop the tears.

Ryan rubbed my back as I calmed and sniffled into him. He brought the sheet up and wiped my face. I looked into his pleading eyes and whispered, “Yes.”

Ryan

The weeks preceding Christmas went by in a blur as Lydia once again readied the house for guests. She’d invited all the usual suspects. Her girlfriends, Jill and Tonya, came up and spent a couple of days. They stayed at Lydia’s place with her, and Ethel was overjoyed to have guests again. The weekends, well she spent those with me in my arms.

Dougie caught hell from The Wife for spending another holiday away from home. When he told her that it wasn’t just Christmas, but an engagement party Theresa shut up. I had met her a few times over the years that Dougie and I had been friends, and he’d been my first mate.

Mostly, I heard her screaming at him through the phone about when he was coming home whenever we’d picked up a cell tower at sea. I don’t know what it is about weddings that changed people but after Dougie told her we were announcing our engagement at Christmas, his wife, Theresa, was at the door offering help and calling Lydia every other day for lunch dates.

My house was filled with a revolving door of people and the space underneath the tree overflowed with gifts. The only one that mattered was the little black box in my pocket.

She had already agreed to stay, but today it would be official.

Al brought his grandkids and Dougie had his son with him, so we piled all the kids in the loft close to midnight for the appearance of Santa.

Shortly after the kids settled in the loft, the doorbell rang.

Right on time, bro
. I answered the door and spoke loud enough for the kids to hear me. Santa, looking a little lean, but no worse for wear was the quintessential Santa, white fuzzy trimmed red outfit, fake beard and all.

“Santa, how was the trip?” I said with a wink as I palmed the small box into his glove and pulled him into a hug.

“Hit a little traffic around Central Park. Those park horses were flirting with the reindeer and Rudolph just couldn’t get his nose out of the mistletoe.”

“Well, I’m glad you could make it. Your bag is looking a little light, not a lot of people on the
Nice
list this year?” I asked giving him a ribbing in the hip.

He pulled his gloves off and swung his backpack around and started rooting around inside.

“Hmm, let’s see what we got in my rucksack. I have a little something here for Miss Tonya.”

“Ooh, that’s me!” Tonya squealed as she ran to the door from the couch. Santa handed Tonya the small soft parcel that she promptly ripped into. She unfolded the blue T-shirt and held it up to read it
I’m not anti-social, I’m anti-stupid
. We all laughed with Tonya as she planted a chaste kiss on Santa’s cheek then smacked him on the ass.

“Well, I think I need to adjust the guidelines for the
Nice
list, maybe a little. Let’s see what else we got in here. Where is Jill?”

Jill was sitting on the couch with her phone held up to her face practically touching her nose, no doubt reading some new release on her tiny ass phone. Her head popped up at the sound of her name and Al prodded her to go claim her gift.

Santa handed her a small rectangle box wrapped in reindeer playing poker wrapping paper. She gave Santa a hug and resumed her spot back on the couch next to Al. A few minutes later, Jill was shrieking as she unwrapped her new Kindle HDX. Jill ran back and tackle-hugged Santa then showered him with kisses.

I heard giggles escaping from the rafters and Dougie’s son telling the others, ‘Ryan knows Santa! I betcha he knows Batman, too’ as the other kids hushed him.

“I heard that,” I yelled up to the loft.

“Dougie! Now we aren’t going to get any presents, jerk!” A round of ow’s and ugh’s as the boys wrestled their protests with each other.

“Come on down you guys. Santa might have something for you. I know you all are awake,” I called up to the rafters.

The stampede of four sets of feet echoed through the house while Santa dipped back out to his car to retrieve the sack of toys for the kids. He finished handing out the remainder of the gifts until his sack was empty. He handed me a bare bottle and placed it in my lap gingerly. I turned it around to read the label ‘Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 Special Edition’.

I held it up by the neck and pointed to Al. “Crack this bad boy open. Lydia strap me down, I am going in!”

I fist bumped Santa and turned to grab the tumblers from the sideboard for a toast. Lydia smiled as Jill complained in her ear about giving her the Wi-Fi password so she could finish

on the bigger screen of her new Kindle.

As Lydia leaned over behind the TV to recite the Wi-Fi password to Jill, I smacked her square on the ass.

“Ow, what was that for?” she complained.

“Bad girls get spanked and obviously you have been a bad, bad girl since Santa had nothing for you. If he gave Sam a gift, and he is a naughty fucker, you had to have been really bad. What have you been doing, naughty girl?” I pulled Lydia down onto my lap, pushed her hair out of her face, and tucked it behind her ear.

“Me?” she whined. “Whatever; obviously Santa read off the wrong list.”

Santa piped up as he rummaged through his rucksack once more. “I think I may have forgotten one. These little boxes like to hide.” He pulled out the small black box and handed it to Lydia.

She opened the small velvet box and her hand flew to her open mouth as she started to tremble in my lap. Santa pulled her off my lap and dipped her backward planting a kiss on her neck as he kept her off balance. He pulled off the fake beard and held it over her head revealing fake mistletoe. She laughed as he tickled her with the beard and swatted at his chest until he set her back upright.

“Pedro! Put me down! You big brute!” Lydia yelled as he twirled her around.

Once he set her back on her feet, she came back, straddled me in my lap, and peppered me with kisses saying, “Yes, yes, yes, yes” in between kisses. She held out the box to me and I took the ring, slid it on her finger, and pressed a kiss onto her hand. The room filled with our friends erupted into applause and praise as I kissed Lydia deeply in my lap.

We rang in the New Year quietly after the Christmas guests had gone home, and watched the Times Square ball drop snuggled on our couch. Lydia was slowly moving her things into my house, our house, and used the loft as her reading room.

New Year’s Day we piled into Lydia’s SUV with a basket lunch and headed down the docks to meet Dougie. As Lydia unloaded my chair, and I transferred over, Dougie met us at the car and carried the basket filled with our picnic lunch down to the pier. Theresa and Lydia exchanged a hug as Jr. complained if he could pull the string.

A paint-splattered drop cloth covered the stern of the boat. I’d given the boat to Dougie as a gift and he had finally finished the renovations. Over the summer, he’d taken his Captain’s exam and it was time to bless the boat. Dougie cleared his throat and gave Jr. a hard look as Theresa pulled him into line by his ear.

“Ryan you have been my best friend for as long as I can remember. It seemed only appropriate for you to give her the blessing and take the initial launch.” He nodded to his son who lit up with a smile and ran over to the pull string.

“You ready, Mr. Ryan?”

I nodded, and he pulled the string and the drop cloth fell to reveal the boat’s
new name
