This
was how he’d silence her.

“I
think it would be better for you to keep a gag in the shop,” he said. “Or maybe
you should keep everything in your purse, so I could take you anytime.”

Jess
moaned in delight at the idea.

Ryan
moved away and she wasn’t really surprised to feel his hand close around her
ankle. “Why don’t you fight me?” he suggested. “I’ll make sure you don’t get
hurt, and we’ll find out if you do like being overcome.”

Jess
was more than ready for the experiment. She kicked and flailed, but Ryan’s hand
remained locked around her ankle. She couldn’t shake him off, no matter how
hard she tried, and the realization that she’d be his captive was thrilling. He
worked quickly, securing the shackle to her one ankle, then binding it to the
corner of the footboard with a decisive tug. Jess was stretched out, almost
tied down, although she wouldn’t go down easily. She was enjoying the struggle and
his conquest. She kicked the other leg and moaned as loudly as she could,
trying to hamper his efforts.

It
was futile and they both knew it, but she found the battle exciting.

“Moan
if you liked that,” he said and Jess moaned. “Next time, I’ll let you run,” he
threatened. “Next time, I’ll lock us both in the back room of your shop and
we’ll see whether you can get away.”

Jess
shuddered in delight. He ran one hand up her leg, his caress making her hotter.

“Or
maybe you’ll wake up one night, bound to the bed, helpless and captive. I might
not be able to wait until the morning. You might have to sleep in your bonds.”

Jess
moaned in approval of that idea.

“I
could corner you in the shower,” he threatened. “Truss you up with the belts
from our bathrobes, gag you with a towel, and take you over and over again.

Jess
squirmed at the sound of that.

She
felt him lean over her and pick up the ribbons again.

“Something
blue,” he whispered, then began to wrap the ribbon around her arms, crossing it
as he proceeded to her shoulders. He slid it under her back and knotted it
below her breasts, then criss-crossed it over her torso. He tied a bow at the
waist, and Jess was encased in the satin.

“Like
that?” he asked, playing with her nipples again. They were so hard they ached
and she was sure she was dripping wet. She gasped into the towel when his mouth
closed over one nipple. He suckled and teased her, drawing it to an even
tighter peak until she was sure she couldn’t stand it.

She
knew she shouldn’t have been surprised when the nipple clamp’s fierce little
teeth locked over that aching peak.

She
should have guessed he’d do the same to the other nipple.

“You
could wear these during the day, too,” he mused. “That would ensure that you
didn’t forget who owned you.”

Jess
moaned with all her might into the towel.

By
the time Ryan had arranged both to his satisfaction, she was wriggling on the
bed. She felt him stretch out alongside her, and shuddered when his fingers
slid through her pubic hair. She thought she’d come immediately when he touched
her, but he knew her well enough to ensure she lasted. His fingertips brushed
across her swollen clitoris, teasing her with the promise of an orgasm. “Look
at you, all tied down just for me. Is this what you wanted, Jess? Me in complete
control of you?”

Jess
moaned and nodded.

“Good,”
Ryan whispered. “Because I’m not done with you yet.”

He
slid down the length of her and she arched her back when his mouth closed over
her wet puss. He licked her, made a sound of approval, then bent to eat her
with a leisurely thoroughness that drove her wild. Each time she felt on the
cusp of orgasm, he lifted his head. He blew on her. He licked her. He slid his
teeth across her clitoris. He locked his hands around her waist and held her
captive to his touch, working her slowly to a boil. Jess couldn’t move. She
couldn’t escape. She couldn’t even squirm away from his touch. And Ryan was so
relentless that she knew he was ensuring she’d have the biggest orgasm of her
life.

She
surrendered with a long shudder. She relinquished control and let him be in
command of her. She stretched her legs as wide open as she could in her bonds,
making herself available to him, and arched her back, wanting only more and
more and more.

She
gasped when he flicked the tip of his tongue across her.

Suddenly,
he moved over her, his hands closing around her bound wrists. He had his weight
braced on his elbows, and his hard cock was sliding into her with ease. Jess
moaned at the thick strength of him and welcomed him deeper, wanting him to
fill her and stretch her wide. She adored having his hard muscled body over
hers, pushing her into the mattress, dominating her and commanding her every
impulse.

“You’re
mine,” he whispered in her ear. “All mine for all time.”

Jess
moaned agreement.

He
kissed her throat, then bit the gag, tugged it out of her mouth and tossed it
aside. “Kiss me, Jess,” he murmured. “And come with me inside you.”

“Yes,”
Jess agreed before he claimed her with a kiss. They moved together in familiar
rhythm, Ryan moving so that his cock dragged across her clitoris with every
stroke. His kiss was devouring and Jess kissed him back with fervor, feeling
the heat build within her until she was sure she’d explode.

She
moaned, not wanting to come before he did but not sure she could hold off much
longer. Ryan slid one hand between them. He pinched her clitoris hard, sending
her over the edge. He swallowed her scream and drove deep inside her, saying
her name before he came in a rush.

Moments
later, he kissed her neck, her ear, her lips and Jess could only smile. “I’ve
missed you,” he murmured, his voice rough.

“I’ve
missed you, too,” she admitted, feeling as if everything was right in her world
again.

“Don’t
look so contented,” Ryan said, his tone stern. “I’ve still got to discipline
you in the shower.”

Jess
could hardly wait. “There are two bathrobes on the back of the door, both with
nice thick belts.”

Ryan
chuckled and kissed the tip of her nose. “Watch out. If you’re that helpful,
you might be my captive forever.”

“Promises,
promises,” Jess teased and they laughed together as he untied her bonds.

It
was amazing how Ryan could improve her mood and her perspective so easily. He
helped her to her feet, spearing his fingers through her hair as he removed the
hood. His hair was tousled and his eyes were twinkling. Jess’s heart clenched
with love. “Okay?”

“More
than okay,” she said. “It was wonderful. Just what I needed.”

They
kissed then, a sweet kiss that still made her heart pound. When they parted,
Ryan spun her around and marched her toward the bathroom.

“Maybe
we should get married after all,” she said, not really joking.

“Maybe
we should,” Ryan replied easily. “But first, you’ve got a lesson to learn.” He
held out one hand and she saw the vibrator butterfly swinging from its elastic
straps. Ryan grinned. “Isn’t it great that this is waterproof?”

Jess
opened her mouth, then closed it again, finally remembering the answer she was
allowed to give. “Yes, Ryan,” she said and his grin flashed.

“Such
promise,” he teased. “At this rate, I’m never going to let you go.”

“I
like the sound of that promise,” Jess said, then she didn’t say anything more
for a while.

The
rain was stopping by the time Jake fastened the zipper on Christine’s dress. He
winced as he inadvertently brushed his bruised knuckles.

“You
probably shouldn’t have punched Mark,” Christine said and he looked up to meet
her smile in the mirror.

“Probably
not, but I’d do it again.”

“As
long as it made you feel better.” She bent to slide the strap of one sandal
over her heel and he watched openly. He could look at her all day—and
make love to her all night. “It’s not going to change him at all.”

“True
enough.”

She
glanced up, caught him looking and smiled at him. “You’re not thinking about
Mark, are you?”

Jake
grinned. “I have someone more interesting to think about.”

They
kissed and it was just as sweet and hot as it had been every time so far.

“It’s
too bad we can’t do anything to help Jess and Ryan,” Christine said when Jake
lifted his head.

“They
have to work things out for themselves.”

Christine
winced. “I know but I want everyone to be happy.”

“Well,
there’s one thing we can do,” Jake said, running a hand over his chin. He
really had to shave before they went for dinner or his mom would give him a
hard time about not treating Christine properly. He went into the bathroom and
Christine followed, watching as he tugged off his T-shirt and turned on the
tap. “I was thinking about the money.”

“From
that stupid bet?”

He
nodded as he rubbed lather over his chin. “The thing is that Kade has a little
girl. He said if he won he’d take her to Disneyworld.”

“Isn’t
he divorced?”

Jake
nodded, then began to shave. He frowned, uncertain how to make his suggestion.

Christine
leaned a little closer. “You have an idea.”

“I
don’t want to insult him.” Jake rinsed the razor, then started on the other
side. “And I don’t want to offend you.”

“I
can be pretty tough to offend if a little girl’s happiness hangs in the
balance.”

Jake
looked up to catch her smile, and knew she’d guessed his idea. “I was thinking
that our big investment will be a house, right? And while three thousand
dollars is a good bit of cash, it’s not going to make that much difference to
that.”

“I
might know just the house, by the way.”

“Really?”

“It’s
up in the Ridge.” Christine referred to an older part of town, one that Jake
had always admired for its historic residences and gracious streetscapes. He
met her gaze in the mirror with surprise. “It’s a center hall Edwardian with
the original slate roof.” She gave the address and Jake started.

“I
know that house. I’ve always admired it. I didn’t know it was for sale.”

“It’s
being shown quietly. I went with a client before coming south, because she
wanted an idea of the expense to update it before deciding whether to offer for
it.”

“What’s
it like inside?”

“Mostly
original. Good bones, but needs some changes. Needs mechanicals updated,
insulation, kitchen, bathrooms, the usual. Landscaping.” Christine shrugged,
but she held his gaze. Jake could see that she had loved the house.

“What
was your estimate?”

“I
thought she could do what she wanted for three hundred thousand. It’s a big
house. They want seven hundred for it.”

Jake
shook his head. “It’s ten years too late to get a bargain in that neighborhood.
Everything there goes for a million or more.”

“It
would be a showpiece when it was done, plus a good investment. I thought she
should do it, but she wasn’t prepared for the inconvenience. I think really
that she couldn’t envision it. She just saw its shortcomings, not its
potential.”

“No,
a lot of people can’t envision that kind of change.” Jake washed off the rest
of the lather, then checked his shave. “But you saw it.”

“My
God, Jake, it would be stunning.”

“Especially
by the time we got through with it.”

She
smiled at him, her eyes alight. “If we could swing it. The foyer and staircase
are incredible...”

While
Christine enthused about the period details, Jake did some mental math. He had
saved a fair bit and done well with his investments, plus he knew he could
borrow from his firm if he had to do it. He was sure that he and Christine
could both call in some professional favors and maybe make better deals with
the trades.

For
a project of that scale, three thousand dollars wouldn’t make much difference
either way.

It
could make a difference to Kade, though.

“All
right, let’s find a way to give the money to Kade and his little girl,” he
said. “And maybe you can get us into see that house when we get home.”

“Do
you seriously think we could manage it?”

Jake
nodded and Christine threw herself into his arms, kissing him hard and fast.
“Now we just have to fix Jess and Ryan’s marriage,” she said, her eyes
sparkling.

“I
really think they have to work this out themselves.” He frowned. “Speaking of
which, it’s been really quiet here today. I was expecting chaos.”

“The
silence is probably because I unplugged the phone to seduce you without
interruption.”

Jake
smiled and kissed her again. “Which you did with great success.”
