High levels of the inflammatory marker CRP (ask your GP about this).

Action plan
There is a great deal you can do to help by looking at your diet, and you know what I’m going to say: if you are a smoker, STOP. If you are being treated with any medication consult your GP.
EAT/DRINK
Fatty, cold-water fish such as salmon, haddock, and sardines. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, which have been found to prevent the naturally occurring substance prostaglandin E2 from contributing to inflammation in the blood vessels and the formation of plaque.
