Greene's Riches (A Billionaire Romance - Vol. 1) (4 page)

“You’re beautiful,” he said
, with his lips to her ear as he slowly moved his hand up her leg in the back of the limo.

She put her hand over his, moving with it and applying more pressure to show him that she wanted his touch.

“You don’t have to say that,” she said back, before realizing how it sounded. He stopped kissing her and pulled away. Her body ached.

“I know I don’t have to say anything,” he looked at her seriously, his deep blue eyes appearing a darker grey now. “But you are the most beautiful woman I have ever even been around. Just, the whole package. You astound me. You’re witty and funny and unbelievably gorgeous in a very sweet and sexy way.” He paused, watching her astonished face as she listened, slowly blushing more and more. “And it scares me and excites me that I barely know you at all.”

“Ohh,” she said, begging him with her hands and eyes to kiss her again and to never stop.

They kissed fervently the whole way back to his hotel, then walked as intertwined as possible up to his top floor suite at the much nicer, much larger hotel than hers. Her body was too focused to be very interested in her surroundings at the moment.

He carried her from his door to the bed, and she swooned even more at the thought of how easily his arms had lifted her. He gently laid her down, then slowly took of his jacket and folded it over a chair with his eyes trained on her the whole time. She lay there, hoping she looked as appealing as she wanted to. His eyes did not look displeased.

He leaned over her and kissed her softly before lifting her up, so that she was sitting, facing him on the bed. As he put his face to her neck, he felt the front of her dress with his hands on their way back to the zipper of her dress. He slid it off of her after slowly and sensually kissing every little part that he removed it from. He stood back. She was so thankful for beautiful matching undergarments as even more passion came into his features seeing her with her dress off.

In only high heels and her sexiest black bra and panties, she sat up and hugged his waist, feeling his hardness with her chest. He sighed at the pressure. She slowly began undoing his belt and he began taking off his shirt as they picked up speed now. The whole time they were barely breaking away from each other’s lips, needing to kiss.

They continued on like this, passionate yet taking the time to discover one another. There were no more words spoken until nearly an hour later when Alexis lay spent in Richard’s arms, sighing contentedly.

“Wow,” she said, looking up toward his smooth dimpled chin.

“Yeah,” he sighed, pulling her closer to him even though it was nearly impossible at this point.

As she looked up at him, slowly examining the freckles she could see and the shape of his ear, thinking about how perfect he seemed in every way, she could not help but wonder what he wanted from his. She still felt like this was probably just a more intimate fling for him, trying to fill some relationship void without ever actually being in one, and she supposed she could learn to be fine with that. They
were
traveling after all, so it would be easy to lose touch and never see one another again. At the same time, she could not help but feel a twinge of longing to know him better, to hold his hand while walking through the streets, to be the one he called after a long day. She knew she was getting ahead of herself and that these were the very thoughts men joked about women having that scare them away, but she could not help but feel like there could easily be something more for them. Every comment, every anecdote, and every smile was shared so easily that it had to count for something.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked her, as he stroked her hair.

“Nothing,” she said with a smile. “Isn’t that what all girls say when they know you don’t actually want to know what they are thinking?” That made him smile, and she was becoming very fond of his smile.

“Maybe, but I do want to know what you’re thinking,” he said with an ease that made it seem as though they had been talking in bed for years.

“I was thinking about your favorite things and about how I don’t know what any of them are in any category,” she began slowly, not making eye contact, but playing with his hand that held hers. “And, I was wondering if you would like for me to know you that well, or if you’re happy with me just knowing you this well.”

It was quiet for a moment until he took the hand she was tracing heart outlines on absentmindedly and turned her face towards him so that there lips were only a breath apart.

“Alexis,” she melted inside as he said her name, “all I know right now, is that I’m happy with you. And I want to be happy. Are you happy with me?”

Her hopes fell slightly, but she answered honestly, “Yes. Very.”

“Then you should know,” he started seriously, as she steeled herself to hear the terms of this relationship, “that my favorite color is green. Comes with the name. And my favorite food is anything delicious and Italian.” She laughed, nearly tearing up as he went on, “And my favorite person right now, in this very moment, is you.”

“You know all the right things to say,” she said, holding her face in hopes of keeping the blushing minimal. “I guess, I just want you to know that I don’t know what you want, but as of right now, I enjoy spending time with you and getting to know you, and I would really like to keep doing that. And this,” she said, gesturing to their bodies, definitely blushing now, “but not just this, you know?”

“I know what you mean,” he said, smiling at her awkwardness. “And I would also like all of those things. I’ll tell you what. All this week I’m going to be in London, and unfortunately, I will be in meetings most of the time, but next weekend, let’s go to Paris. We’ll take the train, or my jet, if you want.”

She laughed. “You
would
have a jet,” she said playfully.

“Normally women swoon at that part, but I like that you laugh,” he said. “So, will you go with me?” He had a pleading look in her eyes that she did not understand coming from him and directed at her, but she adored it.

“Of course I’ll go,” she said. “I’ll make arrangements with the magazine. I’m sure I can come up with something that’s going on in Paris that I should write about.”

“Yes,” he said. “Or this could be a vacation. I hope you know I’m covering the trip. All you need to do is come along.” She could hear that he was speaking in earnest about giving her something and not just to flaunt his ability to pay for everything.

“Okay, mister,” she said, putting up one finger with a smile. “But there’s one condition.”

“Name it,” he said, looking ready for whatever she could throw his way.

“You have to let me practice my French on you,” she responded, rolling over to face him, so that her body was slightly on top of his.

“Oh, you speak French?” he asked, interested in her new positioning, as his hands traveled down her back.

“It’s more of a style, really,” she said, moving in to kiss him. He met her kiss with a new fire and excitement that led them through their second passionate journey together.

The next morning, Alexis awoke to find that Richard had left.  There was a yellow rose on the pillow next to her with a note.

I have a meeting this morning and

I didn’t want to wake you.

The front desk is waiting for your breakfast order.

The driver will take you home when you’re ready.

See you for Paris,

RG

She was not quite sure what to think of his note. She was surprised that she had slept through him getting ready and leaving,
although they had not let one another sleep until very late. If she would have known that he had a meeting, she would have woken up with him and left when he did. She was not sure if she felt pampered or dismissed by his actions, but she decided she was worrying for no reason.

She showered and dressed, finding that someone had laid out her clothes from the evening before, along with a new and more casual dress that was just her size, with a pair of plain black flats. As much as she did not want to accept these items, she had been embarrassed to leave in her evening gown just moments before; he certainly did seem to think of everything.

With the clarity that comes with the morning, she once again had trouble trusting that she was not a part of some routine of the rich traveling businessman, but she also had to ask herself if she really cared. At this point, she wavered between thinking it was worth it to get involved with him, which most likely meant getting hurt, and just saving herself some sort of dignity and leaving now, but her mind and her heart both told her that was nearly impossible. She would fall hard for this man, if she already hadn’t, and he would let her down; she would once more be able to join the men-hating women’s club that she had never fully been a part of since getting stood up as a prank in eighth grade.

Eventually, she set those thoughts aside and left his hotel for her own. The driver was polite enough, but said little, so she was left with her wavering thoughts on Richard. She could not get over the electricity she felt when she was around him. Now that she was alone and away from all of his belongings, she felt more grounded, more levelheaded. And she still wanted to be with him.

As she gathered her things and stepped out of the car, she thanked the driver and began slowly walking up the steps to her hotel, her mind in some other dream world with Richard.

“Lexi? Is that you?” the familiar voice called out to her making her stop suddenly.

Just a few feet in front of her where he had been pacing, stood the one person she would have never expected to see in that instant, the one person who could turn her new world upside down.

It was Brandon.

To be continued…
